Welcome to Pub Chat! These episodes are for us to have a more free-form way to discuss listener questions, shorter subjects, as well as magical happenings, musings, and of course, go off on tangents. Our question of the week is about Deity work. Do you need to work with or worship a deity? What if you don't like their myths? Or if you're not into all that “woo woo” stuff? We talk about all of these aspects of the question, and more. In Story Time, we finish up our chat about Rasputin by talking about the rumors of him and his deeds. Wizard or Charlatan? You decide whether you think they're true, and if he was really a magician. We watched Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness and express our thoughts on it spoiler free in Magic in Media segment. We'll be hosting a panel at FanimeCon 2022 where we talk about Magic in Anime and discuss the magic in five different animes: Record of Ragnarok, Magical Girl Ore, Trese, Fire Force, and Witchcraft Works. If you want to get ahead of the game, consider watching any of these so you'll be in the know when you watch the episode (or watch us live at the con)!

Episode five! Sincere Sarcasm continues to roll on with Dave the Drummer and Francis The Other Guy, trying to make sense of it all. It starts of gardens and food, where Dave continues to flex his green thumb. Then we talk about Francis and his recent visit to Fanime Con 2017, discussing the con itself and the panel in which he was a part of. We go to bad jokes, and of course our weird news, where hunger leads to bad decisions, a hunter becomes the dead, a speeding Delorean, drunk with cops, and cash burning a hole in their ATM. In this episode, I sit down with Jarrell Hall for my first in-person interview in about 6 years since KRNA. Jarrell is a professional actor, voice actor, motion capture artist, stunt man, producer, writer, musician, businessman, and host. I know that is a long list and I’m sure I left off a few occupations, but you get the point. He’s impressive! Jarrell was in town for the 2017 GDC (Game Developers Conference), one of the industry's biggest conferences, and I had the opportunity to meet this very talented dude. Jarrell co-founded the production company, Anime Superstar, in 2004 with Robert Miles. In 2013, Jarrell founded Executive Geek Productions named in part by Marvel Comics writer, Stan Lee. Executive Geek Productions is fueled by his love for Japanese animation, technology, movies, and video games. Jarrell has hosted Fanime Con, Anime Expo, E3, CES, and many other live events. He has had walk-on and stunt roles in such films as The Matrix: Reloaded, The Pursuit of Happyness, and Star Trek just to name a few. In 2013, Jarrell produced and starred in his own tech show on KOFY TV20 “AppFaDat” which led him to create his own show “Tech4Reel” along with many other new shows under his own production company, Executive Geek Productions. Jarrell also sits as a Consultant, Producer, and Advisor for various companies such as Blacks in Gaming (BIG), IDGA, Gorilla Branders, Inc., and more. Please enjoy this episode as Jarrell shares some great stories and advice along with his vision and world of Executive Geek with Uncontained.www.jarrellhall.comhttps://www.facebook.com/jarrell.hall17http://executivegeekproductions.com/https://www.facebook.com/EXGProductions/https://www.facebook.com/Tech4Reel/https://www.facebook.com/AnimeSuperstar/ See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.
Evan chats with David while catching a Tentacool. David and Evan are back for a regularly scheduled Ani-Gamers Podcast to talk about Metal Gear Solid (both 4 and 5), Mob Psycho 100, and Space Patrol Luluco, but more importantly: the whole world has gone crazy for Pokémon Go and our hosts are no exception. Topics include: sakuga/cours sympathizers, real-life Team Rocket, and Studio Trigger performance art. Also featuring David’s nephew making a lot of noise in the background. I did my best to mask a lot of the background noise, but David’s audio is still a little wonky sometimes. David and Evan are surprisingly topical this episode! Evan’s been playing the Overwatch Beta and Firewatch, David’s been playing Melty Blood, and they’ve both been watching Space Patrol Luluco.
