Welcome back, friends! In this episode of the Superlatively Yes Podcast, Jennifer and I discuss various topics ranging from awards and personal achievements to fashion insights and conspiracy theories. We get tickled by our personal experiences with award-winning and losing, discuss a trending TikTok personality, and talk about what we are currently watching, including shows like Severance. Also, Jen tells me some very disappointing news about the Publishers Clearing House. We also explore the significance of awards and recognition in both personal and professional contexts. We reflect on our own achievements, the prestige of major awards like the Nobel Peace Prize and the Pulitzer Prize, and the journey of creativity in writing. Of course, we give made-up awards to one another for home management and finding lost items. Most importantly, we discuss the importance of acknowledging personal achievements, embracing flaws, and letting go of unnecessary competition. The conversation also touches on the significance of remembering others, the challenges of consumer culture, and the journey of personal growth and resilience. Thanks so much for hanging out with us. Rev Robbie Ytterberg preaches his sermon "Clarity: The Daily Struggle" as part of our sermon series, Clarity: God's Plan. February 22 & 23, 2025
Self-awareness is that thing many people claim to have but in no time at all you know this person is completely unaware of themselves. Our versions of reality seem to fall in line with the narrative and stories we constantly remind ourselves of, but the truth is, we've constructed a reality shaped and influenced by emotions that were never truthful from the beginning. Robert Greene, just released another book, The Daily Laws, and he us in this episode to share his profound wisdom and understanding of human nature. He beautifully peels back the layers of complexity around how we are able to perceive the world around us and the way in which we fit into our own stories. The main point Robert drives home is the power of detaching yourself from the emotions and egos to take an honest assessment of what you are truly experiencing. Welcome back to the Making Milestones podcast! This week, we dive into the challenges of balancing life's daily struggles with broader societal issues. As I return from a brief hiatus, I share my personal experiences dealing with mental and physical health challenges, business responsibilities, and day-to-day chores. Join me as I discuss how these pressures intersect with societal expectations, leading to burnout and emotional suppression. We explore how societal norms often force us to hide our true feelings and the long-term impacts this can have on both mental and physical health. This episode also touches on the significant gap between mental and physical health perceptions and the role of societal structures in maintaining this divide. Delving into broader themes of capitalism, societal fairness, and the weight of global issues, I aim to provide a comforting space for those feeling overwhelmed by similar struggles. Tune in for an honest reflection on these topics and discover ways to manage your own mental health amidst the chaos of today's world. Social media platforms play an increasingly important role in election campaigns, as the first round of the Romanian presidential election – in which a NATO-sceptic populist came out on top – amply demonstrates. Our guest is Mariya Gabriel, a former EU Commissioner for the Digital Economy and Innovation, who is well placed to discuss social media and disinformation, particularly in the context of southeastern Europe. We also talk to her about the new EU Commission's announcement of a "Competitiveness Compass" initiative, and the rolling political crisis in Gabriel's home country, Bulgaria.

Ashley and I made our acquaintance when she reached out to me 7 months ago; she was making an inquiry about a criminal case that she was involved with regarding the rape report she had made with her local law enforcement agency. She was discouraged with not only how difficult it was to make the report to an investigator who was skeptical about her version of the experience, but also with how disheartened she had become over the way the case was investigated. Ultimately, as is a common happening in these types of cases, the case was closed and not prosecuted due to “insufficient evidence.” It is extremely frustrating for me to realize how, over and over, law enforcement agencies who do not have appropriate training in the neuroscience of trauma and memory, and what it means to be victim-centric in their investigative procedures, often overlook the psychophysiological evidence staring the investigators in the face, and choose to either not recognize it for what it is, or to ignore it; both are equally practiced. It took several months of therapy, education, and time to heal for Ashley to get to this point: the point where she is not only willing to share her sexual assault and rape experiences with the public but is actually excited to do so because she knows how helpful it is when victims and survivors share their experiences publicly. Ashley has been through extensive therapy, but also has been trained in being trauma informed, and certified as a sexual assault victim advocate. She knows firsthand what it means to be trauma informed and knows firsthand what it feels like to make a report to a law enforcement agency whose officers are not trauma informed. Ashley is now on a mission, like me, to educate as many people as possible on the benefits of being trauma informed in sexual assault and rape cases. You're going to be impressed with Ashley's story, and with her fortitude in pursuing this mission. Thank you for being here to listen to Ashley's story. The Real Estate Roundtable with Jackie Ruddy, Century 21 Jack Ruddy Real Estate
We sit down with a local farmer and gain insights on the daily challenges they face. Of course they're at the mercy of the weather and other things. They transcend their challenges by providing educational opportunities for the public. These events are available on their farm on the weekends, and are designed to teach those who wish to learn aspects of farming. We'll talk all about it on this episode of the Real Estate Roundtable.

In this message from our series on Joseph, Tyler reflects on significant, hopeful moments in Joseph's life, emphasizing God's ability to use every situation for good. Despite Joseph's trials, his rise to prominence in Egypt at thirty years old exemplifies how our journeys, no matter how challenging, are never wasted but woven into God's greater plan. This message invites us to actively seek and acknowledge God's presence and goodness in the everyday fabric of our lives, reinforcing the belief in His omnipotence through all circumstances.Questions for Reflection:• Have you found yourself in a circumstance or season where you were tempted to believe there was no goodness of God to be found?• Are there some circumstances or seasons that you can now look back on and see how God used some ugly circumstances for a beautiful finished story?

In this episode of the Salty Pastor podcast, we dive deep into the spiritual realm, seeking to understand the invisible battles that shape our world and our lives. Join Pastors Doug and Jesse as they embark on a new series titled "Kingdom Come," unraveling the mysteries of the Bible and how its teachings relate to the trials and tribulations we face in our daily lives. Why is there suffering, war, injustice, and unrighteousness in the world, despite our belief in a loving, peaceful, just, and righteous God? The answer lies in the existence of two kingdoms at war—the Kingdom of God and the earthly kingdom ruled by Satan. This battle extends beyond the physical realm and penetrates the depths of our hearts, where our faith and values are constantly put to the test. Through enlightening discussions and references to powerful biblical passages, Pastor Doug and Jesse guide us through the significance of understanding the spiritual realm and how it impacts our journey to find peace, hope, and love in this chaotic world. They explore the meaning of the Kingdom of God, the importance of the New Testament as a testament to Jesus' new covenant, and the ongoing battle between good and evil. The Salty Pastor podcast aims to provide you with the tools and knowledge necessary to strengthen your faith and navigate the challenges of life with confidence and grace. Tune in and join us on this enlightening journey towards spiritual growth and self-discovery.

This week I get very real and emotional chatting about feeling anxious, mental struggles, etc. I admit how I've avoided talking about anxiety in the past even though it's been requested a lot because it requires me to be very raw and personal. I made this episode in hopes of relating to those of you who have similar struggles and for you to know that you're not alone. I explain what I now know makes me feel better on hard days and hope what helps me could help you too.My YouTube channel http://bit.ly/33z6gnM (Gretchen Geraghty)My Instagram http://bit.ly/2VE0U7S (@gretchengeraghty)Podcast Instagram https://bit.ly/2Rt9VzA (@happyhrpodcast)For business inquiries email contact@tablerockmanagement.comSee Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
