In this riveting episode, Miles and I sit down with Byron Grevious, a rising high school senior who has not just broken barriers, but demolished them. Byron is a name many across the country have not heard but probably should have by now. His formidable talent has won him impressive accolades in the high school running world, including a significant victory at the Nike Nationals 5K in June, and earning the 16-year-old national age record in the 5k running 14:04 at Battle Road in Boston. Byron isn't your typical high school athlete. He's also a student at the renowned Phillips Exeter Academy, balancing rigorous academics with intense athletic training. He opens up about this unique experience, discussing the challenges and triumphs of his journey, his strategies for maintaining discipline, and the valuable life lessons he has learned along the way. We also delve into the details of Byron's record-breaking performance at the Nike Nationals 5K, explore the build-up, the race itself, and the aftermath. Byron shares his training emphasis, the mindset that helped him achieve this victory, and his aspirations for the future. Be prepared to hear a lot about Paul Chelimo's famous quote! Despite his remarkable achievements, Byron still remains largely unrecognized in the national media. Whether you're a runner, a sports enthusiast, or simply someone who enjoys compelling stories of determination and achievement, this episode is packed with inspiration and insights that you won't want to miss. Tune in to discover the extraordinary journey of this unsung high school running sensation. In this episode, SooJin brings in spiritual wellness consultant and restorative yoga teacher Marjorie Grevious to share the wisdom and insights she's garnered from witnessing how toxic masculine definitions of what it means to be a “man” has robbed the men in her life. She discusses not only how men are complicit in toxic masculinity but also women and offers a powerful alternative to toxic masculinity, as she shares the various ways her and her partner worked to preserve the innocence and goodness of her nephew, as they worked to safeguard the #BlackBoyJoy he was born with. She also points out the responsibility that white people need to play in creating an environment where Black boys are safe and protected.Resources:Restorative Yoga with Marjorie at Yoga Sanctuarytemplewithinyoga@gmail.com (Marjorie's Email for Consultation Requests)Radiant Rest by Tracee Stanley-NewellRestorative Yoga for Race and Ethnic Stress-Based Trauma by Dr. Gail Parker“A Humanist View” Speech delivered in 1975 by Toni Morrison at Portland State University

Anakin has a plan to catch Grevious. It almost works. He does take out the entire fleet with him, but the General escapes in an escape pod. Anakin wakes up in a med bay and asks about R2. He is informed that R2 is gone. This upsets him. When he asks Obi-Wan to go find him Obi-Wan gets cranky and tells him Jedi are not allowed to form attachments. When he tells Obi-Wan that R2's memory was not erased he is finally allowed to go look for him. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/leiaishope/message Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/leiaishope/support

This is our Goldilocks episode- we’ve got one Clone Wars episode that is pretty bad, one that is ok, and one that may be one of the best in the whole show. Who is a clone, if they decide not to fight in the war, and is that desertion, freedom, or both? Why does Grevious hate the Jedi so much? And why are the Jedi so susceptible to pickpockets?Riki, Sarah, and I get into those questions and more as we talk about The Clone Wars, Season 2, Episodes 9-11. The fighting on the Chesapeake exploded in the 1630s between Virginia and Maryland. The trading post on Kent Island was under siege, but a series of small successes attracted more and more sailors until Kent Island looked very much like a pirate haven.
Jamestown, Virginia was growing into a viable colony when another party entered the American Colonial world. A formidable Catholic family moved in on the northeast coast of Chesapeake Bay, igniting a fight that would erupt in a scourge of piracy.

The first audio only show. We're talking Star Wars news, upcoming comics, and we're answering YOUR mailbag questions! News -"Solo" Opening Weekend Projected At $177 Million -Mark Hamill May Have Dropped A "Solo" Cameo Spoiler Mailbag Questions: 1.) (22:40) Jamie Holbeche - Hey, I'm new to watching you and I'm really enjoying your content. I'm not sure if this is allowed but I kinda have 3 quick questions for you. Which live action Star Wars movie is your favourite and why? Do you prefer The Clone Wars or Rebels animated series and why? But I've been wondering, are the deleted scenes in the movies canon too or just the standard length movie itself? Thanks a lot and I hope your channel continues to grow. 2.) (41:05) Connor Grady - Hey man awesome videos love what you do. I was thinking about the Star Wars comics and noticing that they seem to focus on smaller characters for limited series e.g Lando, Mace Windu, Thrawn, Captain Phasma. What smaller characters would you like to see get their own limited series. Personally I would love a Kit Fisto more in line with the Tartovsky series version, a young Qui Gon and Dooku series and maybe even an origin of how Grevious got his cough. Keep up the good work, love your vids. 3.) (46:46) Tera McCrowsky - Been watching for a while and just wanted to let you know I hope that this channel is one of the few that comes out on top as far as Star Wars content is concerned. It's hard to stand out with so many people doing this. I know the hype is beginning to build for "Solo" but I just can't seem to find it in myself. Alden sounds nothing like Han Solo. There is only one Han Solo and it's Harrison Ford. What are your thoughts on Alden's Solo? Do you think there could be more "Solo" films coming since he signed a three picture deal? 4.) (54:24) Matthew Tico - Since presale ticket numbers are out for "Solo," now do you think "Solo" will make more money than Infinity War? I tend to believe it will just because it is a Star Wars movie. That is a brand that families know is a household name, especially with the name "Solo" attached to it. Shattered Order Podcast: Ep. 26 Friday, 12/31/2016 Hosts Dan, GoodNightPunk Michael, WinKILLERinc Show Notes Tournament Thoughts! 24 hour tournaments New Prices! Thoughts. Mini-Updates: January Daily Login Character: Finn Jyn tournament returning on January 9th (Monday to Tuesday) Cassian Andor’s ship tournament went away. Unsure why, but possible because of backlash although I doubt it. Ship required Cassian, Jyn, K2SO to use. Excluded all IOS users already due to K2 being pilot (which makes sense) But alos excluded all those that didn’t place top 100 in Cass/Jyn tournaments or bought the $100 pack. Possibly low amount of people participating because of these things pushed the tournament and release of his ship back. iOS users rejoice! Your want for K2SO has been granted! K2SO replaced Baze in shard shop for a limited time! There was very little rejoicing. Droids Fight Back Event updates Still requires Droids Now has 7 Tiers (Including a Bonus Tier) Same setup as K2SO event for Android All Jawas are available as rewards now instead of just Jawa, Dathcha. Equal chance to get shards of any of the 5 Shard shop for me, great for those still grinding. Tiers above 60 re-balanced for mods. Each Tier has 3 encounters now, instead of 1. Tiers 1-6 require 3 droids (Easy if you have IG88, IG86, HK47) Tier 7 (Bonus Tier) requires 5 droids. Tough to do with seven total droids overall. B2, Grevious, IG88, IG86, HK47, K2SO, IG100 First event to use the new “Style Guide” for Event descriptions and Naming. Probably not a game changing thing, but I’m intrigued. It Came From Reddit (Dev Comments) Capital Method (Raid Guy) Quiet this week, 2 months. Capgasp (Event Guy) Someone asked for a character acquisition plan, to know where and when characters may be released to farmable areas. I like the idea but seems impossible to implement. Capgasp mentioned talking to Kozispoon and Jesse about speaking about these things in general terms in updates so people know if SOMEONE may be going to a shipment area or something else a while before it happens. Made no promises thought. JE AI Revives were asked about. Mainly why he’ll use his revive if a non-droid toon dies and waste it. Said that “All "revives" are technically the same under the hood. This one just has a special subclass of targets (Droids). The AI is functioning as it was designed to, in that an ally is dead therefore it's okay to use the revive. The AI has no way at current to know that its revive won't work.” Insight into class tags Said that adding a second tag to characters that seem to fit several classes would “Break Many Things”. Someone asked for General Leia or to Zeta Princess Leia Capgasp mentioned everyone is on vacation and can’t just create a character out of thin air as it takes many weeks. But said that hopefully they could do something appropriate to honor her memory when everyone returns. As usual very active the past two weeks. Thanks! HiddenSpring84 (Client Guy) Someone asked about the problem with abilities not taking up the top 50% of the information window and being cut off at the bottom Said it should be fixed in an upcoming patch because it’s not acting as it’s intended. SWpewpew (Sound Guy) Nothing since ships implementation. He worked on the awesome music and band in the Ships room. CG_Conduit (Character Guy) Nothing new this week. Finn Update: Poe Dameron: Resistance Trooper:
