Remnants of Humanity: Journey Throughout Our Sacred Earth to Restore Balance Held Within the Feminine Dimension by Christine Van Camp ZeccaThe twenty-first century is facing worldwide disintegration. The spiritual systems are falling apart, revealing the lack of all that used to sustain humanity as notions of separation prevail. However, inclusion is essential for survival. Profound love is more powerful than hate, but those in power amplify/ hate, destroying humanity in the process. After the collapse of Western civilization in North America, survivors grounded in healing love flee south. Seven millennia later, an isolated outpost of women wants to share its hard-earned wisdom. These earth-based shamans are losing the energy to continue, unless they can connect with the Underworld of Dreaming Nature to find suitable males to join them. Their quest attracts other “remnants” that also wish to regenerate the planet and return joy to the world. Paradigm shifts are required to reinvigorate the inevitable toxic collapse of a corrupted society, hope rests in the hands of feminine energy and hard-earned wisdom. She works with creativity and the imaginal realm integrating her background of 30 years of Jungian studies and analysis, DreamTending, and other forms of embodied dream work. She completed BodySoul Rhythms Leadership Training with Marion Woodman that integrates Jung's work with experiential modalities of dream, imaginal work, voice & body expressions with the intention of bringing deeper levels of awareness into our conscious being. Her own practices include painting (since she was 2), Tai Chi (50 years), yoga (20 years), QiGong (6 years), 5Rhythms practice (12 years), Authentic Movement (4 years), Continuum (3 years), Incubation practice rediscovered by Peter Kingsley from Ancient Pre-Socratic philosophers Empedocles & Parmenides (recent) & is currently studying / experiencing Shamanic Trainings:‘The World in Balance' or Katasee (1 year), Visionseeker Trainings and Continuum Private Trainings with Hank Wesselman and Jill Kuykendal: 4 years, completed both one year of VisionSeeker and two years of Advanced Continuum Trainings on two separate occasions. — When we go through trials, we end up dying to some part of ourselves, and that not only carves us into a new person with greater resilience and capacity for change but also one who understands that death on all levels is simply another rite of passage. As we walk through the dark places in our life and accept our losses, we die to what the ego and mind mistakenly think is the best life path for us. The darkness helps us touch into our vulnerabilities, and each loss allows us to die just a little more, so that when life takes from us, creation brings something new into our lives. Any life form that stops growing dies. In nature, death is not an end. Death only leads to new creation, opening doors to new dimensions of reality. This is true whether we physically leave our bodies to engage in a new adventure of life or if we stay here as a polished stone ready to be kind to ourselves and be in service to all of life. Today Jill had the opportunity to reconnect with Siobhán Mac Mahon. Her passion for the spiritual path began in early childhood with the Sidhe (shee)- the transpersonal beings of myth and legend of her native Ireland. Living in this beautiful land, a megalithic landscape, helps her to stay close to the ancestors who need us to step up and clear as much trauma as we can, thereby healing them and our future descendants. Along the way she has studied and walked on many paths, learned many healing modalities and has blended them into a beautiful synergy to serve clients and students. Siobhán's healing practice is a remote worldwide one, using Shamanic and traditional methods, incorporating Anam Sidhe™ energy work, clearings from the Akashic field for individuals and properties, and elements of evolving Kundalini yoga, breathwork and meditation. I am a lover of life and a committed light bearer for humanity. I cherish life as a privilege to be human. On the ground level of this life, I am a retired physical therapist, an author, a speaker and a contemplative with a host of other interests and explorations. On the cosmic level, I am a brilliant light of vibrational energy, vast, and multidimensional, just like you are. Here on planet Earth, I reside in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. My spiritual journey has moved me towards meditation, shamanic journeying, and various energy healing methods. Step by step, the limiting beliefs that I had taken up and were restricting me from knowing myself as love in action have transformed. Now I like to flow with life, allowing ease and grace to be my companions. I have learned to trust in life. The more I trust and allow life to unfold, the easier it becomes. I walk forth in peace, love, and joy. My creed is that by being the love we are, we are contributing to the expansion and evolution of humanity. When we acknowledge that we are love, a part of the fabric of the Universe, and a part of nature, then we can allow love to flow into us and radiate out of us to do its work in the world. Doing so with an intention for the highest good and love for all expands every possibility. This is how we will consciously build a new world where the source of all action is love instead of fear. Remembering Dr. Hank Wesselman with Jill KuykendallAired Thursday, February 10, 2022 at 4:00 PM PST / 7:00 PM ESTOn February 15th 2021 as the world was still struggling to navigate its way through a catastrophic pandemic, research paleoanthropologist, shamanic practitioner, and best-selling author Dr Hank Wesselman left this planet. A prominent voice for renewing our relationship with nature, remembering what we once knew, reawakening to spiritual reality, and reclaiming the sense of connection and hope that gives meaning to our lives, Hank Wesselman was the author of nine powerful books on shamanism––including his critically acclaimed Spiritwalker trilogy, the award-winning Awakening to the Spirit World: The Shamanic Path of Direct Revelation (with Sandra Ingerman), The Bowl of Light: Ancestral Wisdom from a Hawaiian Shaman, and The Re-Enchantment: A Shamanic Path to a Life of Wonder.Today, as we approach the first anniversary of Hank Wesselman's passing, his wife, partner, and fellow shamanic practitioner, Jill Kuykendall joins Sandie for a special show dedicated to remembering and celebrating the life of a respected cutting edge scientist who became a spiritwalker, a wayshower, a weaver of worlds, a reshaper of realities, and a teacher whose legacy will live on for many years to come.Jill Kuykendall Jill has degrees from UC Berkeley and UC San Francisco medical school and worked in the medical world as a physical therapist for 20 years, while including complimentary traditional healing techniques into her private practice. She married Hank Wesselman in 1979. In 1996, Jill and Hank met the revered Hawaiian elder, Hale Makua, who brought them into a greater awareness of what was unfolding for them and their service in the world. Jill participated in co-teaching and group coordinating many of his travel and teaching events at Esalen Institute, Omega Institute, and Breitenbush Hot Springs Retreat Center, and co-wrote their book Spirit Medicine: Healing in the Sacred Realms. Her profession changed to Soul Retrieval, a shamanic healing practice that is many thousand years old, and still helpful in modern times. Following Hank's passing she “refreshed” their website to memorialize Hank and rekindle her participation in fulfilling the purpose of SharedWisdom LLC by continuing to create content and future teaching opportunities.Connect with Jill at https://www.sharedwisdom.com/Visit the What Is Going OM show page https://omtimes.com/iom/shows/what-is-going-omConnect with Sandie Sedgbeer at https://www.sedgbeer.com#JillKuykendall #SandieSedgbeer #LifestyleSubscribe to our Newsletter https://omtimes.com/subscribe-omtimes-magazine/Connect with OMTimes on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/Omtimes.Magazine/ and OMTimes Radio https://www.facebook.com/ConsciousRadiowebtv.OMTimes/Twitter: https://twitter.com/OmTimes/Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/omtimes/Linkedin: https://www.linkedin.com/company/2798417/Pinterest: https://www.pinterest.com/omtimes/

No BS Spiritual Book Club Meets... The 10 Best Spiritual Books
I've had many fascinating conversations with authors over the years, but the discussions I've had with Shaman, SpiritWalker, Anthropologist, Evolutionary Biologist & Author, Dr. Hank Wesselman are right up there among my all-time favorites. Oh, the places this brilliant man has been, the experiences he's had, and the people he's come to know! I mean, here's a man who became such a dear friend to (and student of) the great Kahuna elder, Hale Makua, that Hale Makua actually allowed Hank to share sacred Hawaiian spiritual knowledge seldom imparted to outsiders in Hank's book The Bowl of Light: Ancestral Wisdom from a Hawaiian Shaman. That's a massive privilege and demonstration of trust! Oh, and wait till you hear about his adventures beyond the beyond... While every guest on this series tells the stories behind their 10 Best Spiritual Book picks, Hank goes a little further, throwing out the rule book and going off piste to reveal a good deal more that many of us didn't even know we wanted to know! --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/sandie-sedgbeer/support
The Re-Enchantment: A Shamanic Path To A Life Of WonderAired Thursday, June 18, 2020 at 4:00 PM PST / 7:00 PM ESTAt a time when our scientific understanding of the universe has never been greater, why do so many people feel disenchanted and alienated? This week’s guest, Research Paleoanthropologist, Shamanic practitioner, teacher, and bestselling author, Dr. Hank Wesselman, is not the only person to observe that our search for objective knowledge has come at the cost of a deeper, intuitive rapport with nature and our spiritual selves. What we need now, he says, is a “re-enchantment”―a way to renew our relationship with nature, reawaken to spiritual reality, and reclaim the sense of connection and hope that gives meaning to our lives.DR. HANK WESSELMAN joins Sandie Sedgbeer this week on What is Going Om to explain why so many people are feeling a profound sense of disenchantment, and discuss the compelling blueprint for the emerging transformational spirituality that he shares in his new book, The Re-Enchantment: A Shamanic Path to a Life of Wonder.Connect with Dr. Hank at http://www.sharedwisdom.com/ and https://shamanvisionarycircle.com/Visit the What Is Going OM show page https://omtimes.com/iom/shows/what-is-going-omConnect with Sandie Sedgbeer at https://www.sedgbeer.com#DrHankWesselman #TheReEnchantment: #WhatIsGoingOM #SandieSedgbeer #Lifestyle

I’ve always enjoyed listening to my guest Hank Wesselman talk story, and this episode doesn’t disappoint! As a celebrated author and teacher for over 20 years, Hank has a way of bringing the esoteric nature of shamanism down to earth. In this episode, he shares what he’s learned and observed about the transformative nature of shamanism, the impact religion has had on ancient cultures, what the future might bring, and discusses the evolution of his own dreaming (hint: could there be a book 4 in the Spiritwalker series?)
Dr. Hank Wesselman is an anthropologist who found himself having paradigm- and time-shifting visionary experiences, as he tells in his classic "Spiritwalker" trilogy of spiritual memoirs, and in this episode he peels back the curtian to reveal even more fascinating aspects of his connection to this timeless source of wisdom and its ongoing unfoldment, such as an uncoming fourth book in the Spiritwalker saga.
Wesselman shares the spiritual knowledge he gathered from working with the late Hale Makua, a revered Hawaiian Kahuna wisdom keeper. Included are insights such as: the 3 directives of a spiritual warrior, the 7 life roles and how they are expressed in both positive and negative forms, the difference between a shaman and a medicine person, and the ancestral grand plan.Tags: Hank Wesselman, shamanism, Hale Makua, shaman, kahuna, transpersonal, medicine people, Pele, Aloha, Kapus, Ancestral Grand Plan, Metatron, Glastonbury, Spirituality, Community, Ecology/Nature/Environment, Global Culture, Indigenous Wisdom, Mythology, Personal Transformation, Psychology, Shamanism, Science, Soul/Spirit Guides/Angels/Spirit
Hank Wesselman, Ph.D. is a respected paleoanthropologist who has worked with noted anthropologists around the world including in Ethiopia investigating the mystery of human origins in the Great Rift Valley. "It is high time we realized that it is pointless to praise the light and preach it if nobody can see it. It is much more needful to teach people the art of seeing." - Carl Jung Do you ever think that there is more to life than meet's the eye? That there is a world of things hidden amongst the world of things seen? The shamanic discipline of life centers around exactly this, with practices that cultivate a way of seeing the hidden dynamics in life amongst the ordinary goings on, to turn the mirrors of form into windows of enlightenment. For the most part though it is perhaps fair to say that we live anchored largely to the physical. The scientist, shamanist and doctor Hank Wesselman believes though that our ongoing bias towards objective knowledge has come at the cost of a deeper, intuitive rapport with nature and our spiritual selves. This he says has led to a disenchantment with the way things are and that our re-enchantment with the physical and spiritual world can come from cultivating this visionary 'shamanic sight'. Through his own experience walking the path of an evolutionary scientist to a Hawaiian shaman, he has danced in both worlds and drawn deep inspiration from his visionary experiences which he has faithfully documented in his popular book SpiritWalker. Hank argues that Shamanism provides the perfect vehicle for approaching a goal of deepened intelligence and experiencing ourselves as an interface between the worlds of things seen and the worlds of things hidden. In his words: “There is new spiritual complex coming into being in our world. This mystical mosaic draws from many traditions and many cultures, and has the potential to refresh and perhaps replace our current mainstream religions with new perceptions and new insights.” As we learn to see the world with renewed reverence again we can see the mystery of life with greater clarity and with it bring for the highest version of ourselves. "Our practice is not to clear up the mystery. It is to make the mystery clear." - Robert Aitkin Roshi

How we pray is as diverse as each being on our planet. What do we say? Do we even need to speak? What of our thoughts? How do you express your prayer? Do you know when you pray? Prayer is not necessarily done at a specific time or in a special place. How you pray is unique to YOU. Are you even aware of when and how you pray? We pray more than we realize. How do YOU pray? Healers, Activists & Other Lovers of Humanity (Monkfish Book Publishing, July 2014) was born from a vision in which Celeste Yacoboni was guided to ask the world, “How do you pray?” She reached out to family and friends, then to leading figures from all walks of life and schools of thought. Culled from those responses is an original and deeply personal collection of prayers, essays, and offerings that encourages readers to contemplate the intention of prayer in their own life. Composed essentially of prayers and short biographies of its 129 contributors (leaders of diverse spiritual and religious traditions ranging from Buddhism to Islam to Christianity, as well as those who do not claim any particular walk of faith), How Do You Pray? is an interspiritual prayer book and resource guide to an emerging global spirituality, which embraces our religious and spiritual diversity. Contributors include Brother David Steindl-Rast, Matthew Fox, Gregg Braden, Dan Millman, Huston Smith, Byron Katie, Marianne Williamson, Margaret Starbird, Lama Surya Das, Andrew Harvey, Terry Tempest Williams, Alex Grey, Masaru Emoto, Arvol Looking Horse, Patch Adams, Roshi Joan Halifax, Rabbi Zalman Schacter- Shalomi, Rabbi Rami Shapiro, Llewellyn Vaughan-Lee, James O’Dea, Hank Wesselman, Fr. Kelly converses with paleoanthropologist and shamanic practioner, Dr. Hank Wesselman about the convergence of science and spirit, his friendship with Hawaiian Kahuna Hale Makua, and why it is important to think about the next seven generations. Music by Ross Falzone.
“It’s not the year 2012 that is important. It’s 2013,” said Hale Makua, Hawaiian, Kahuna elder. “…what we decide to build on will determine the spiritual focus as well as our lifeways for much of the next several thousand years…We have some hard decisions to make, and we have to make them now…We are now in the position to create a new world for our descendants, and especially for the next seven generations. This will require a massive shift out of the negative and into the positive polarity, and at all levels of our lives." Join us this week as author, teacher, and paleoanthropologist Hank Wesselman, PhD, and host, Christina Pratt, explore Hank’s new book, The Bowl of Light, and how we could make that shift. There is much needed wisdom here in the heart of the teachings this great Kahuna elder passed on to Hank. He is our next guest for the Society of Shamanic Practitioners sponsored interview series. In this series we explore how contemporary shamans are meeting the challenge of their world where the relations of things are profoundly out of balance. It is the ancient role of the shaman in all cultures to tend the balance of things. How are we meeting this extraordinary need today?
Anthropologist Hank Wesselman, PhD, is author of the best-selling Spiritwalker Trilogy: "I utilize the ancient, time-tested ways of the mystic to facilitate each person's process and to reconnect them to their inner sources of wisdom, power, and healing. ” --- We'll talk about the training he offers. He also has an upcoming appearance at Omega.
