"The Path to Soulful Living: A Life Not Wasted" explores the idea that each of us has a unique purpose and calling. Our purpose is the deeper “why” behind our lives, while our calling is how we express it through our gifts and talents. By quieting the noise, listening to our souls, following what brings us alive, and using our gifts in service to others, we move toward a more meaningful and authentic life. Ultimately, fulfillment comes from discovering our purpose, answering our calling, and living it each day.Website: http://www.theunitycenter.net Download Our New App: https://theunitycenter.churchcenter.com/setupAsk Yourself This: https://www.amazon.com/Ask-Yourself-This-Questions-Expand/dp/087159336XSubscribe to our YouTube channel: http://bit.ly/2hBqp7F Purchase Lesson Series Packages: https://theunitycenter.net/sunday-series-packagesListen to our Podcast: https://open.spotify.com/show/6YJWcAhQUnkEHFqBXQmz1G

In "The Wound Where the Light Enters: Staying Awake in the Dark Night," Rev. Wendy Craig-Purcell teaches that life's challenges can "break us open" rather than break us apart, revealing opportunities for healing and spiritual growth. By facing our pain with curiosity instead of resistance, we uncover limiting beliefs, transform our wounds into wisdom, and allow our Christ nature to emerge. The sermon reminds us that nothing is wasted—every experience can become a pathway to greater purpose, compassion, and service.Website: http://www.theunitycenter.net Download Our New App: https://theunitycenter.churchcenter.com/setupAsk Yourself This: https://www.amazon.com/Ask-Yourself-This-Questions-Expand/dp/087159336XSubscribe to our YouTube channel: http://bit.ly/2hBqp7F Purchase Lesson Series Packages: https://theunitycenter.net/sunday-series-packagesListen to our Podcast: https://open.spotify.com/show/6YJWcAhQUnkEHFqBXQmz1G

What if the secret isn't chasing the next trend... but following what lights you up? Inspired by a simple note from the Vancouver International Publishing Conference, this episode explores the powerful reminder that passion sets trends—don't chase them- let passion guide you. In a world that constantly encourages people to keep up with what's popular, this conversation invites listeners to slow down and reconnect with what genuinely excites and inspires them. Whether creating a business, writing a book, offering a service, or simply living more authentically, passion carries an energy that can't be manufactured or copied. Candace reflects on letting go of grand expectations of what success is supposed to look like and instead trusting the quiet guidance of the heart. When creativity flows from authenticity rather than comparison, it naturally creates something meaningful—and often becomes the very thing that inspires others. This episode is a gentle reminder that passion isn't something to chase. It's something to trust. And when it's allowed to lead, it has a beautiful way of creating its own path. If you've been waiting for permission to stop following trends and start following your heart, perhaps this is the sign you've been looking for.

Forgiveness is a powerful spiritual practice that frees us from the burden of the past, allowing us to reclaim our energy, find inner peace, and live more fully in the present. Rather than condoning harmful actions, forgiveness is an act of self-love and healing that helps us release resentment, embrace growth, and align with our higher purpose. Through acceptance, compassion, and intentional reflection, we can let go of what no longer serves us and create space for greater freedom and joy.Website: http://www.theunitycenter.net Download Our New App: https://theunitycenter.churchcenter.com/setupAsk Yourself This: https://www.amazon.com/Ask-Yourself-This-Questions-Expand/dp/087159336XSubscribe to our YouTube channel: http://bit.ly/2hBqp7F Purchase Lesson Series Packages: https://theunitycenter.net/sunday-series-packagesListen to our Podcast: https://open.spotify.com/show/6YJWcAhQUnkEHFqBXQmz1G

After returning from the Vancouver International Publishing Conference, Candace finds herself riding the beautiful wave that follows a truly inspiring experience. But alongside the excitement comes something equally important: rest. In this episode of The Spiritual Cupcake Podcast, she shares why giving ourselves space to recharge, reflect, and integrate life's magical moments can be just as valuable as the moments themselves. A recent walk sparked a conversation about favorite books and the stories that stay with us long after we've turned the final page. Candace reflects on how books are a lot like people. Often, we can't recall every detail of what was said or exactly what happened, but we never forget how they made us feel. From stories that transport us into unfamiliar worlds to characters who help us see life through a different lens, books have a unique ability to expand our hearts and perspectives. Candace shares her love of reading, the books that have lingered with her over the years, and why some stories become lifelong companions. Whether you're recovering from an exciting season, looking for your next great read, or simply craving a little inspiration, this episode is a gentle reminder to slow down, soak it all in, and grab a good book.

The murky stuff beneath the surface

In this heartfelt episode of The Spiritual Cupcake Podcast, Candace shares a beautiful conversation with her friend Magda about creating a life and home that feels intentional, soulful, and truly your own. Magda has been lovingly beautifying her forest home — bespokeing every detail, handcrafting spaces with care, personality, and warmth. From the outside, everything looked peaceful and stunning. But then she discovered a martin had made its way deep inside the walls and created a nest hidden within the home. At first, she tried to handle it herself. But eventually, she realized she needed to call in an expert — someone with wisdom, experience, and the ability to help with what was happening beneath the surface. Candace reflects on how deeply this mirrors our own lives. We can style our hair, nourish our skin, decorate our homes, curate our wardrobes, buy beautiful things, and work hard to create lives that look peaceful from the outside. But sometimes, inside us, there are still hidden places carrying old pain, fear, grief, stress, or unresolved emotions quietly nesting in the background. This episode is a gentle reminder that healing is not about perfection. Even the cleanest, most beautiful homes become messy simply from being lived in. The same is true for us. Life happens. Emotions build up. Experiences leave marks. The goal is not to become flawless — it's to become aware. Candace talks about the importance of checking in with ourselves, tending to the hidden rooms within, and allowing ourselves support when needed. Sometimes our own rituals, practices, and self-awareness help us move through things. And sometimes healing asks us to reach out to someone with deeper expertise to guide us through the murky places we cannot navigate alone. This episode is about inner peace, emotional honesty, self-awareness, and creating a life that feels beautiful not just on the outside, but deep within the walls of who we are.

In this heartfelt and thought-provoking episode, Candace Dunaway dives into the powerful concept of becoming “bespoke.” Inspired by rediscovering the meaning of the word, she reflects on how often people shape themselves to fit expectations, trends, or the comfort of blending in—living lives that are more “off the rack” than soul-aligned. Candace gently challenges this pattern, reminding listeners that they were never meant to be mass-produced. Through personal insight and soulful reflection, she explores what it looks like to intentionally craft a life that is uniquely your own—one that honors your individuality, your pace, and your truth. This episode is an invitation to slow down and engage in the meaningful, sometimes uncomfortable work of becoming who you were always meant to be. Because just like something truly bespoke, your life is meant to be thoughtfully created, deeply personal, and entirely one of a kind.

In this episode, Candace reflects on a powerful moment from Jay Shetty's podcast with climber Alex Honnold — a reminder that success is often just a brief moment at the end of years of repeated failure. As a climber, Alex shares that failing is constant. Projects can take five or six years of trying, falling short, adjusting, and returning — all for a few minutes of completion before moving on to the next challenge. That perspective opens a deeper conversation about how we relate to failure in our own lives.Candace invites us to reframe failure not as something to avoid, but as the very substance of the journey itself. The repetition. The discomfort. The trying again when it would be easier to quit. If things came easily, the moment of arrival wouldn't carry the same meaning.Failure builds character — grit, determination, endurance, and the ability to stay present with uncertainty. It shapes us quietly, teaching us who we are long before we ever “succeed.”This episode is a gentle reminder to stop leaving dreams in the closet or ideas stuck in the mind. To start the thing. To do the hard thing. And to walk forward knowing that failure isn't a sign you're doing it wrong — it's proof that you're on the path.

Each space offers its own gifts, its own challenges, and its own kind of fulfillment.Through this reflection, Candace arrives at a powerful truth: nothing is wasted. You are the variable. You are the magic. Whether you're given thirty minutes or a full day, your energy, care, and presence create ripples that move outward in ways you may never fully witness. If you've ever questioned a choice you've made, wondered if you should be somewhere else, or feared that a part of you isn't being fully used, this episode is a loving reminder — your essence follows you wherever you go.

Because the title had the word Oakland in it, near where I grew up, her email caught my eye. Then I saw that an emergency room doctor had written it.  So I said yes.  Once the real book arrived in my real mailbox, it was clear that we were meant to connect.  Every passage resonated deeply.    The book, released in May 2025, is a powerful integration of poetry, soul, and the lived experience of a physician waking up to a life more deeply felt.   It is a beautiful and honest invitation to reconnect with ourselves, especially when we've been trained to disconnect.  Pearls of Wisdom from our conversation: Your soul knows when you're out of alignment. Dr. Oaks ( a pseudonym) shares how taking a pause—not knowing what came next, was what brought her back to life. We explore the courage it takes to step away from what's expected to reconnect with what's real. Disillusionment is a pathway, not a failure. We talk about how medicine teaches us to disconnect, but the cost is profound. Dr. Oaks' writing gives voice to the silent grief and subtle truths that live within many of us. You don't need permission to live a beautiful life. Through her reflections and poetic insights, Dr. Oaks reminds us that we are not here to endure life—we are here to feel it, shape it, and choose it. Reflection Questions: What might you discover if you allowed yourself to pause, even for a moment? How might your life shift if you believed you were already whole? What would it feel like to choose a path because it feels right, not just because you can? I encourage you to get yourself a copy of From a Studio in Oakland, California: 108 Notes on Existence.  It's a book to keep close by, to fold the corners of, and return to again and again.   Please share the book, and this podcast conversation, with others. AND please join Enia and me for a book club on July 13th @ 5 pm Pacific on Zoom. More info coming soon. This episode was recorded back in January during the Los Angeles wildfires. And yes, we know it's been sitting in our spiritual junk drawer ever since. But consider this a karmic purge because this is the last episode from the archives and we are back on schedule after this! The backlog is fully cleared, the cosmic colonic worked, and our podcast feed has regular movements once again. In this episode, we embrace the chaos of the new year, talk about fire (actual and astrological), and examine why conspiracy theories have gotten dumber than ever. We also get real about personal evolution, sharing a practical framework for identity shifts (where you'll meet our alter egos, Lucky and Tippy) and we discuss what it actually takes to make lasting change when your life feels like it's on fire — figuratively or literally.Inside this episode:The astrology behind the LA fires and why your identity might feel like it's… unzipping itselfA complete evisceration of tunnel-based Hollywood fire conspiraciesWhy manifestation without a plan is just wishful griftingOur new favorite New Year's ritual involving AI and aesthetic phone wallpapersHow to build better habits without hating yourselfThe moment we debut our spiritual alter egos and probably start a whole new religionAlso: practical accountability, dumb TikToks, bad movies, good mindset shifts, and the gentle reminder that even though time is fake, the choices you make with the time you have are very real. From here on out, it's all fresh content. Thanks for sticking with us. Lucky and Tippy are ready. Are you?*******************************About The Serendipity Sessions:We began The Serendipity Sessions as a series in the Clairannoyance podcast so we could have real-time unscripted conversations. Unlike our subject-specific deep dives and guest interview episodes, The Serendipity Sessions is a raw reflection of the genuine bond we share. We have no rules and no episode notes in advance, just a free-flowing exchange of thoughts and emotions. It's an exploration of the outer banks of consciousness where untamed treasures are hidden away. We believe one sudden insight can hold immense value, far beyond most meticulously planned discussions. Each session is a unique encounter with chance as we defy routine and enjoy a spontaneous dance with spirituality. We aim to keep these episodes as evergreen as possible, so you can find your way here whenever you need to. And hopefully, you'll encounter pieces of yourself every time you join us.*******************************Please rate us 5 stars and leave us a review! We recorded this episode in December 2024. We're releasing it in May 2025. Yes, we know. Time is fake. Calendars are a colonial construct. But astrology still slaps, even when it's late. We apologize for any outdated references in this episode, but we still wanted post it because this is the part of the year where things REALLY start to change. It's a great opportunity to reflect on the year thus far and stay prepared for what's coming next. This episode is an overview of the energetic architecture of 2025. We discuss the biggest planetary shifts, collective themes, and the existential whiplash that these historic astrology formations are unleashing. In this episode, we cover:Why 2025 is a preview of the next five yearsWhy Pluto in Aquarius is the era of aliens, AI, and collective uprising (and why drones might be the new oracles)How Saturn and Neptune moving into Aries will completely reshape our understanding of identity, imagination, and self-leadershipWhy Uranus in Gemini will make nerds hot again (sexy librarians, you're on deck!)What it means when every outer planet changes signs in such a short period of timeThe astrology behind class revolts and why corporate overlords should watch their backsAnd how you, dear listener, can pivot, strategize, and maybe even monetize your way through this cosmic paradigm shiftYou'll also hear us:Predict the weaponization of butt plugs for interdimensional travelPraise the rise of spiritual individualism and customizable capitalismDeclare the death of “cool” and the rebirth of authentic weirdnessAnd remind you (gently? lol no) that you're going to need to stay adaptable, resilient, and a little unhinged to ride this wave. This episode is chaotic, unscripted, and completely vital. Even if it's five months late. The astrology doesn't care when you listen. Just that you do.***************************P.S. PLEASE RATE OUR PODCAST AND SHARE IT WITH YOUR FRIENDS!!!

Long time no talk! By talk, we mean screaming into the void. Put your headphones on -- we have a lot of catching up to do. We know. We disappeared. But like any good ghosting situation, we're returning with no explanation… except an entire episode of explanations. In our first episode since January, we blow the dust off our mics and confront who we thought we were before life sideswiped us with plot twists, spiritual detours, and 47 new existential crises. This comeback episode is equal parts cute and chaotic. Featuring six semi-structured segments (plus a fully unhinged AI narrator for no good reason whatsoever), we reflect on how we've changed since January, chew on the ways the world has changed, and hopefully we also make you feel a little bit better if your current bar for thriving is "I cried, but I scheduled it."  Let's all trauma dump together into the abyss and hope the abyss claps back with some clarity, shall we? We're back. In this episode of the Creative Genius podcast, I interview Rebe Huntman about her debut memoir, "My Mother in Havana, a memoir of magic and miracle." Rebe shares her personal story of losing her mother at a young age and the subsequent decades of feeling disconnected from her memory. Driven by a deep longing and intuition, Rebe embarked on a 30-day DIY pilgrimage to Cuba to seek a different perspective on grief and connection. The conversation delves into how Rebe's background as a Latin dancer led her to discover the spiritual roots of Cuban dances and the traditions of honoring the deceased.  Rebe recounts her experiences immersing herself in rituals dedicated to the goddess Oshun, visiting the sanctuary of Cuba's patron saint, and meeting with a spiritist who she hoped would connect her with her mother.Rebe and I discuss the importance of intuition and following one's unique path, even when it doesn't seem logical. We also explore the disconnect in Western culture from ancestral connections, magic, and meaningful rituals, contrasting it with the Cuban traditions of keeping the dead close. The conversation touches on the challenges of staying creative and connected to one's inner voice in the face of overwhelming global issues and personal fears. Rebe shares her belief in creativity as a portal and emphasizes the importance of honouring inner longings and choosing to champion humanity. She also shares her personal rituals for grounding and connecting with her intuition and ancestors, offering practical advice for listeners seeking to do the same. Ultimately, Rebe's story is a powerful reminder of the resilience of the human spirit, the wisdom of intuition, and the potential for magic and miracle in our lives, even in the darkest of times.

What if digital actions like copying text or selecting emojis carry an unseen weight — a subtle energy that lingers in the virtual world? In this episode, we explore technomancy — the intersection of technology and mysticism — and the ways it's creating a "digital empathy" of sorts. Like it or not, our digital lives are seeping into our emotional experiences in the real world. From the strange “weight” of holding copied text before you paste it, to a psychic who reads people's recently used emojis like tarot cards, we look into the modern mysteries of the digital realm. Are we subconsciously developing new forms of animism for our devices, sensing energy where there is none? On the heels of another dynamic eclipse season — marked by a Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Aries on September 17 and a New Moon Solar Eclipse in Libra on October 2 — we're pausing to reflect on how these cosmic influences are showing up in both real-world events and our everyday lives. This was the final eclipse season of the Aries/Libra cycle, which kicked off in July 2023 and will wind down by January 11, 2025.  At that point, the North Node will transition from Aries to Pisces and the South Node will shift from Libra to Virgo. Once the new eclipse cycle begins, fate will take us in a different direction until July 2026. But that's a conversation for another day (and another episode).
