After the success of a web series named Italian Spiderman, SBS an Australian broadcaster contacted its creators in regards to adapting it for television. Unfortunately due to licensing issues, such a thing was unable to be made into a reality. Still interested in partnering up, SBS asked Alrugo Entertainment to develop a different show instead. Three different shows were then pitched and the one that was picked up became what we now know to be "Danger 5". The show, which was recorded in 2012 takes place during World War 2 but is stylized to look like it was recorded in the 1960's. Danger 5 is a group of five international spies on a mission to kill Adolf Hitler and stop him from world domination... Yes, you heard that correctly. This show was truly unique in more ways than could ever be explained. Was this out of the box approach at television programming enough to entertain the S1E1 guys? Find out as they review Danger 5's pilot episode, "I Danced For Hitler". www.S1E1POD.com

What if Spiderman was a fat, cigarette smoking Italian who could disappear, fly, chop off limbs, use animals as weapons, make toy motorcycles into real ones by smashing them on the ground, bite people, throw orgies, smash heads w/ rocks, & use a mustache boomerang bomb, but what he really loves is shooting people w/ guns? Wonder no longer! Featuring Sarah Paglione of the W.E.L.P. podcast. Enjoy!
We talk about Danger 5. I had never heard of it, but it's by the same people who did Italian Spiderman.
On this episode of the RabbitHole podcast we talk with screenwriter Dario Russo. We discuss working on Danger 5 and Italian Spiderman.www.projectlouder.net

Podgal kicks off the show with an update on her latest outing where everything went splendidly right. Yay! PodGuy likes inventing – what can we say. His newest idea seems a bit out there, what do you think? And, speaking of questions, Hey, Late Night Drinkers, why are you drinking so late – get that new hashtag trending #podcastandchill! A shout out to last week's guest Space Goat! We want him back on the show! #bringback #spacegoat This leads to a discussion on Harry Potter on Broadway, the epic disaster of the Spiderman Play, the classic Spiderman cartoon and Italian Spiderman (check it out). PodGuy wants to open up marketing to anything and everything and PodGal tries to shut it down. Naturally, this falls into epic marketer, KISS, discussion. Finally, we talk about the origin of the term Jumping the Shark. And, in there somewhere, is the Phoning It in With Harland Williams. Need a new tie, a quality yet affordable tie? Scurvy, botulism, exploding teeth and man-eating demon polar bears. This week Sarah and Amelia read Dan Simmons' The Terror , and discuss why the Arctic is not a great place to be a European explorer in the 19th century. Also, Sarah quotes "Italian Spiderman" a whole heck of a lot for someone who doesn't know any quotes from "Italian Spiderman."
It's the all new Episode 22 of BatSquad Radio, wherein Kevin serves up a spoiler-free assessment of "Guardians Of The Galaxy 2" while Dave tries to figure out what he just saw in "American Gods" on Starz. Denny forces a convention promoter to make him a First Place trophy for his recent costume contest victory then gets called out big time on the blatant hypocrisy behind his boycotting-then-attending certain events. Also covered are previews of the upcoming Wizard Philly and NYCC updates, the merits of Free Comic Book Day and a stellar review of the recent East Coast Comicon. Things turn ugly as the raging debate over "Italian Spiderman vs. Italian Batman" reaches a boiling point. And Dave and Denny don't care about Kev's writing career. It's 60 minutes of pop culture pandemonium and the admission price, as always, is FREE.
It’s like a 5 year old drew the spiderman logo. This month Kiyan and Dylan cover something that could barely even be considered “expanded universe” for Spiderman. It’s Italian Spiderman! Originally released on YouTube, the first episode was aired on the 22nd of May in 2008. Also, do you want to know what color thatContinue reading →
