Il est rejoint par Abderezak Yahimi à la batterie, lui-même musicien actif dans la scène rock et Metal depuis 1999 où il a joué avec de nombreux groupes comme The Rave o Blow, ainsi que Abdelwahab Merzouk à la guitare et Aidi nour El Islem a la basse qui fut remplacé par Ziri Abes en 2016. Le groupe joue du THRASH and SPEED Metal, fortement influencé par la vague de Thrash metal US et Allemande des années 80. Aujourd'hui le groupe compte à son actif un album nommé Ad Exitium sorti le 31 Mai 2019, ainsi qu'un deuxième album intitulé Under The Verdict sorti le 25 Novembre 2021. On September 24th, Rivers of Nihil will release their fourth full-length, The Work, via Metal Blade Records . Reading, Pennsylvania's Rivers Of Nihil have never fit neatly into a box, but with 2018's Where Owls Know My Name, they transcended all labels applied to them. Returning in 2021 with The Work, they have forged further into new territory, delivering an album that is as cerebral as it is visceral, and that covers a staggering sonic range, definitively placing them in a category of their own. Inarguably a very dense, heavy collection, The Work is far too dynamic to be considered a solely metal record, and there is a genuine warmth that shows through, particularly on "Wait" and the gorgeous "Maybe One Day," and the band have included far more clean vocals alongside the screaming that tears through many of the heavier tracks. Courtesy of their friend Zach Strouse, saxophone once again adds extra layers of atmosphere to the collection, utilizing baritone, soprano and alto saxes to great affect. This interview was recorded backstage of Paris Download Festival in 2018 ▬ About Nothing More ▬ Nothing More is an American rock band from San Antonio, Texas. Formed in 2003, the band spent much of the 2000s recording independent albums and struggling to maintain a steady lineup or attract record label interest. Towards the end of the decade, the band's long-time drummer, Jonny Hawkins, decided to switch to being the band's frontman and lead vocalist, stabilizing the band's core lineup along with other long-time members Mark Vollelunga (guitar) and Daniel Oliver (bass). The band self-funded and recorded their fourth studio album, Nothing More, over the course of three years and used it to gain the attention of Eleven Seven Music record label, who signed the band to a five album record contract upon hearing it. The album became the band's breakthrough release in 2014, with multiple charting singles, including "This is the Time (Ballast)", which hit number 1 on the Mediabase Active Rock chart and number 2 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock chart, and "Mr. MTV", "Jenny", and "Here's to the Heartache" all charting in the top 15 of both charts. The band began working on a follow-up in 2016 while continuing to tour in support of their self-titled release, and in September 2017, released their fifth studio album - their second on a major record label - The Stories We Tell Ourselves. Metal Interview de DEAD TREE SEEDS représenté par Alexandre Prudent pour parler de l'album "Push the Button". ▬ About DEAD TREE SEEDS ▬ From the ashes of the Thrash TRIAKANTHOS project, Nico and Alex decided in 2009 to continue the adventure, and completed a line-up by finding Franck on guitar, Tom on bass and Alban "Shamane" on vocals. The foundations of a solid band resolutely oriented towards old-school thrash are laid. The band makes its first concerts in very modest rooms but keeps a steady rhythm. The arrival of Pierre to replace Franck gives a more technical and ambitious direction to the sound, without leaving aside the brutal violence and they continue to scour the halls of the Paris region (in particular the Bastille Stage) with a few dates in the south of France. The style becomes more complex, going from a thrash inspired by the great classics of Metallica or Megadeth and Slayer, to the most violent fringe of the first Kreator or Sepultura, passing by some more groovy forays like Testament or Pantera. Finally in April 2013 the 1st album of Dead Tree Seeds (Seeds of Thrash) is released Following this album, Pierre and Tom decide to leave the band to devote themselves to other projects, both musical and family. 2014, Aurelien (guitar) and sidi (bass) joined the band, followed by numerous concerts almost everywhere in France with in particular the first part of Angelus Apatrida 2016 marks yet another change following the departure of Alban in Germany and that of Nico for musical differences. Dead Tree Seeds continues its journey and composes 8 songs in order to prepare the recording of the 2nd album in line with the first. At the end of 2017 Ivanne on guitar and at the start of 2018 Frank Vortex on vocals joined the band with directly 3 concerts in 2018 including the first parts of no return, Mercyless, Insanity Alert ... In early 2019, Ivanne left the band for professional reasons and was replaced in the process by Francois. The band is pretty active in the German live scene since the early 2000s. They already played numerous tours with bands such as Motörhead, Anthrax, Prong, Mustasch and many more. They also played lots of live festivals like the famous German Summer Breeze Festival or the Rock Hard Festival. Their last studio album "Race to Resurrection" hit the German Album Charts at #41 which was their highest position in Germany's Media Control Charts so far. For that album they also played numerous shows, a headliner tour and a support tour with the Swedish rock act Mustasch in 2019. After that they released their first live album "Live Resurrection" in 2020. Despite the fact that MOTORJESUS is one of the longest running German bands in their genre, they are still pretty much down to earth and no rockstar allures are found. They simply love Rock'n'Roll and celebrate the music. Their love for 70s muscle cars also shows in their artwork and the "Motorized Jesus" has established as their band mascot in their cover-artworks over the past years. The Corona pandemic sadly affected MOTORJESUS' ability to perform live, but instead the band then focused on a new album which will be out now under the name "Hellbreaker". But there also are some traditional MOTORJESUS tunes e.G. the opening track "Drive through Fire" or the groove laden "Firebreather" that stay true to their well established brand of metal, classic rock, stoner and other influences. The most important thing is that the fists can be risen and the crowd is singing along. Metal Interview de CROWN représenté par Stéphane Azam et David Husser pour parler de "The End of All Things" attendu le 16 avril 2021 via Pelagic Records. ▬ About Crown ▬ The End Of All Things is for C R O W N what Kid A was for Radiohead: an album that nobody was expecting from them. Dark and moody; bleak and sublime; airy and crushing; mesmerizing and engrossing; bold yet unerring; strident, danceable and suffocating, all at the same time. An album oozing with tasteful, fragile hooklines flirting with the abyss they are hovering above, encapsulated within an ingenious major production, provided by one half of C R O W N himself: David Husser has worked as a sound engineer, producer and musician all across the globe with artists like Alan Wilder o f Depeche Mode or at Peter Gabriel's Real World studio, and has toured with his industrial band Y Front alongside Rammstein in the 90s. Paul Kendall (Mute Records, NIN, Nick Cave) said about David: "a distorting diamond... we have collaborated on a number of projects and I have been amazed by his ability to teach an old dog new tricks. He is simply the best recording engineer I have ever met". The other half of C R O W N is founding father and vocalist Stéphane Azam, who has worked as live sound engineer for French blackgaze pioneers Alcest for years. Stéphane's low, soothing voice on The End Of All Things comes as a complete surprise to anyone familiar with the band's previous 2 records, which featured mostly screamed vocals – a fact showcasing the immense versatility of the musicians at work here. Furthermore, In contrary to previous efforts, there are (almost) no vocal guest appearances on The End Of All Things – 'almost', because Karin Parks of Årabrot lends her beautiful voice to closing track Utopia. David pushed Stéphane from the start of the writing and recording process to do all the vocals himself, for the sake of coherence: he wanted the band and the album to have one single "captain of the vessel. Stéph sings with a very low voice now, and it was a challenge to make space for that sound- and production -wise, we had to find some kind of relief in the low register. It took us pretty long to find what we consider the right recipe to make it work", Husser explains. Crown started out in 2011 as 2 men and a drum machine, and their debut album instantly got them an invitation to the prestigious Roadburn festival in 2013, and a record deal with Candlelight. The duo's early sound was defined by hissing electronics, soaring heavy guitars and the absence of "real" drums, touching on industrial metal acts like Godflesh, Ministry or Killing Joke. The End Of All Things is clearly a departure from that sound in almost every imaginable way. "Life is change, its the only thing we can always expect", says Husser. "It's the same with music. I personally feel offended when a band just regurgitates their own ideas and delivers a copy of the previous album, over and again... I want to take risks and let myself in for adventures and ventures nto new territories, otherwise it wouldn't be art anymore". We spoke about "Resident Human" who was released on March 26, 2021 via Odyssey Music. ▬ About WHEEL ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ The Helsinki-based Wheel were formed in 2015 when singer James Lascelles moved to Finland and, through a fluke appearance on a Finnish TV show, met the core of what would become the early stages of the band. The members’ love of polyrhythms, different grooves, abstract time signatures and bands that see things differently would create the unique sound that appeared on their first EP in 2017. A follow-up EP ‘The Divide’ in 2018 would further cement the group as one to look out for. With their first headline tour booked in for February 2020, and the promise of a US tour waiting for them in April, it was around then the instrumental bare bones of ‘Resident Human’ were coming together. Initially to be squeezed into a 10-week recording period, their plans changed once COVID-19 hit the world hard; the band had to roll with the ever-changing punches. Steve Harris was attending the convention, so he had to think of something special. With musicians from several bands he performed a set of rearranged acoustic Maiden songs. The reactions from the crowd were overwhelming. The idea that became a show then became a project. A project to bring all kinds of musicians and fans together to celebrate the music. Maiden uniteD presents classic Iron Maiden songs in a new and exciting light. Acoustic re-arrangements that transform the songs into something that Iron Maiden fans would have never imagined hearing. Maiden uniteD has released 3 albums and an EP'. "Mind The Acoustic Pieces" is an all-acoustic reinterpretation of the classic 1983 album 'Piece of Mind' with new arrangements. This release was accompanied by a European club tour and also brought them to the Download festival and Wacken Open Air. 'Across The Seventh Sea' features some well-known and some less well-knowsntracks by Iron Maiden. The guest musicians are Perttu Kivilaakso (Apocalyptica) on the album and Lee Morris (ex-Paradise Lost), Stef Broks (Textures) and Luke Appleton (Iced Earth) as tour guests. The album 'Remembrance' even featured Maiden veterans Bayley and Di'Anno and was toured extensively with several tour guests as well. They closed off this chapter with a show at the Royal Theatre in Amsterdam with guests Sharon den Adel (Within Temptation) and Perttu Kivilaakso. Here they played their Empire of the Clouds suite, which was released as an EP on June 8th 2018. COMMUNIC consists of highly skilled musicians that deliver quality metal with variety and originality.
