Nuestra huerta poco a poco va cogiendo velocidad.

The daughter of a women's rights activist mother (referred to here as Judith) and a Spanish duke from noble aristocracy, her early world blended creativity with horrendous abuse - including childhood exploitation, family fractures, and a childhood marked by control and trauma that spanned continents. From a tender age, Paz turned to art as her lifeline - painting imagined safe havens and dollhouses to escape the chaos. That same creative fire propelled her into acting, where her raw, magnetic talent shone. With her striking beauty, fierce sensuality, and depth that evoked classic Hollywood sirens, Paz earned a scholarship to Saint Ann's School and graduated with one of the highest IQ scores in its storied history - proof that her intellect burned as brightly as her beauty and on-screen presence.Yet beneath the spotlight, Paz life hid unimaginable horrors. Childhood incest, familial trafficking by those closest to her, exploitation tied to powerful figures like Harvey Weinstein, and brutal assaults that shattered her trust. The last time Paz was on, we discussed her childhood, upbringing, early abuses by her father that later led to her mother selling and trafficking her to the ‘hightest bidders' like Harvey Weinstein, the emotional and physical turmoil Paz was suffering throughout her successful career as an actress and model, how art was her saving grace and outlet, a scandal involving Lana Del Ray, her pursuit for justice, and much more. I'll have the link to that episode in the show notes and highly recommend listening if you haven't already.Today, we will be continuing where we left off - exploring the devastating and severe attempts on her life that were orchestrated on-set of her films and during her treatment by doctors who were supposed to be caring for her, the spiraling health crises including brain trauma, the relentless control that came from those closest to her, her journey into whistleblowing, her spiritual awakening, her safer life on the farm with her beloved animals after escaping brutal abuse in Madrid five years ago, her newest projects and aspirations, animal rescue efforts, and her dreams of building orphanages to protect vulnerable children.DONATE TO PAZ'S GOFUNDME: https://www.gofundme.com/f/justice-for-paz-fundraiser-for-spanish-criminal-lawyers-andCONNECT WITH PAZ:TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@paz.de.la.huertaIG: https://www.instagram.com/thefugitive1984/CONNECT W/ EMMA:YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@imaginationpodcastofficialEMAIL: imagineabetterworld2020@gmail.comSubstack: https://emmakatherine.substack.com/BUY ME A COFFEE: https://www.buymeacoffee.com/theimaginationVENMO: @emmapreneurCASHAPP: $EmmaKatherine1204All links: Support the show
Send me a DM here (it doesn't let me respond), OR email me: imagineabetterworld2020@gmail.comToday I'm honored to introduce you all to: Satanic ritual abuse, sex trafficking, and Harvey Weinstein survivor and whistleblower, acclaimed actress, artist and painter, and a brilliant woman who has risked her life to shine a light on the darkness of her life and the lives of other victims and survivors: Paz de la Huerta A little bit about Paz and what we will be talking about today: In the glittering yet treacherous shadows of Hollywood, where dreams collide with darkness, Paz emerges as a beacon of unyielding resilience - a survivor who has transformed unimaginable hell into a powerful call for justice and artistic rebirth. Born on September 3, 1984, in New York City, Paz's life has been a whirlwind of triumph, trauma, and tenacious comeback. The daughter of a women's rights activist mother - who we will be referring to as Judith - and a Spanish duke and rancher father descended from nobility; Paz grew up in the artistic heart of Tribeca. From a young age, her world was steeped in creativity and privilege - her mother rented apartments at 311 Greenwich Street, including one to Miramax during Paz's teenage years. But beneath the facade lay profound struggles.By 14, Paz had already launched her acting career, earning acclaim for her role as Mary Agnes in The Cider House Rules, a Miramax production. Paz's ascent continued with roles in films like A Walk to Remember and the HBO series Boardwalk Empire, where she captivated audiences and became a focal point of Season 2. In 2010, at a Golden Globes afterparty for Blue Valentine, Weinstein - who produced the film - forced his way into her Greenwich Street apartment and raped her - repeating the violent assault weeks later. The trauma compounded in 2011 on the set of Nurse 3D, where a stunt vehicle struck Paz, dragging her 10 feet and causing severe injuries. Surgery by neurosurgeon Aaron Filler in 2013 relieved the pain, but he later inflicted a brain injury in 2016 amid lawsuits. Her health spiraled: overdoses, miscarriages (one induced by a handler), and false hospitalizations orchestrated by her mother and godmother. Paz has shared heart-brokenly that her mother, Judith, trafficked her to Weinstein, spied on her via connected apartments, and stole her earnings, leaving her penniless while living lavishly.Paz's life is a testament to unbreakable fortitude. From Tribeca's streets to Hollywood's heights and depths, she reminds us that truth, art, and courage can conquer even the darkest lies and crimes. As she rebuilds - acting, painting, and advocating - Paz inspires us to speak out, heal, and reclaim our power. The siren survives, and her voice echoes eternally.DONATE TO PAZ'S GOFUNDME: https://www.gofundme.com/f/justice-for-paz-fundraiser-for-spanish-criminal-lawyers-andCONNECT WITH PAZ:TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@paz.de.la.huertaIG: https://www.instagram.com/thefugitive1984/CONNECT W/ EMMA:YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@imaginationpodLead to GoldThis is what wellness looks like in real life - no social media BS. ✨Listen on: Apple Podcasts SpotifySupport the show

In the spiritual and self-development world, we're often encouraged to “take our power back.” When I first began to walk the path of awakening, I had fear of my own power! The word “power” was scary because of how I had been conditioned to understand it. This is so common because we often confuse egoic power with our true soul power. Christian de la Huerta joins us today to share his story about rising into his soul power after feeling disempowered for most of his adolescence. Tune in as he shares about the difference between power that stems from the ego vs. the soul, the ways we give our power away, and how being in our power allows us to honor our true selves. Once in a while, we have a great moment of no mind or bliss or belonging. But the benefit of doing that practice, even when it's just boring, counting our breath or repeating a mantra, whatever it is, that's the practice. So That's sort of learning how to dribble so we can play at the basketball finals or learning the piano chords so that we can do a concert delivery because it's that ability. But the mantra it's that boring practice that comes in helpful when we get triggered. And all we need is that moment, that moment of presence, that moment of mindfulness. Oh, whoa, that one hurt. Ooh, that triggered me. And then that brings choice back into the equation. Like then how do I want to respond to this, rather than just that old boring, react, and then regret? Power Matters Thoughts on Breathing It's all about the breath. The breath is at the core of every meditation practice and most spiritual traditions. Let's just think about this example. We're in a conversation that's starting to escalate and kind of about to go south into an argument. That's the moment to use the breath. That's the moment for their Swamis in India that have that much control over their bodies that they can tell their hearts to slow down and they will. So Most of us are never going to get there. But every one of us can slow down our breathing. So when we slow down the breath, the heart has no choice but to relax. It has to. And when the heart begins to relax, then the body begins to quiet down. And then the nervous system begins to quiet down as well. Power So Matters And then we can make a choice again about how we show up because we're talking about empowerment. So we're not talking about suppressing our emotions, we're not talking about becoming a doormat, we're talking about bringing choice. And using our being able to communicate our emotions responsibly. So The emotions aren't good, they're not bad, they're neutral. They're energy. What used to be spiritual teaching, is that everything is energy. Now we know, from quantum physics, it's all energy, including the body, and the emotions. And the problem that we have with suppressing emotions is that they don't go away. Because this was such a shocking, unimaginable affront. And so we had a choice point, like how do we express power? And what do we do? We abused it, we bullied, and nobody likes a bully. And we went and invaded a country that we had no business invading, and we're still paying the price for doing that. So 20 years later, or 30 years later, however long it's been, I guess 20-something years later. From a personal perspective, I share a story about when I was in 10th grade and I just started a new school that was all boys and it was a Catholic school, a Jesuit school. So I was going through the difficult times the kids go through; not feeling accepted. Who am I? All that kind of stuff. And there was a kid in my class that everybody bullied and not in a mean way. I mean not in a bad way it wasn't like physical bullying, but it was like mind games. So I learned about bullying and that there was a part of me that didn't feel accepted, that didn't feel good about myself. Because I was struggling with issues of deep existential questions, the questions of who am I and do I belong in this religion in which I was raised, where I had this part of me that I wanted to serve the sacred. I wanted to serve God as I understood it then. And yet in a religion that told me that I was gonna burn in hell for eternity, for being who I am. And so, rather than deal with those difficult, painful emotions, it was easier to focus on somebody else. So I think that's what a lot of bullying has to do with. It is sort of a displacement of negative feelings for ourselves and then finding somebody who's weaker. I'm hoping that in telling the story, I'm helping other people.
