On Part 9 of Episode 57, we finish up our look into deputy gangs in the L.A. County Sheriff's Department. Last week, we talked about the complete history of the Compton Executioners. But on today's show we'll be talking about a couple different things. We'll talk about some lesser known groups in the LASD that I haven't touched on so far, due to the fact that there's not a ton of information out there about them. And to wrap up the series as well as today's episode, we'll talk about not only the cost of deputy gangs over their 50 years of activity, but also how the culture of depravity resulting from them has affected policing in Los Angeles as a whole. And finally, we'll discuss what some academics think is necessary to deal with the ongoing scourge that is LASD Deputy Gangs. But with the end of our deputy gangs series, also comes the end of Season 2 of the Black Hand. I truly cant thank everyone enough for tuning in to and supporting the show, you guys are the ones that make this possible. On Part 6 of Episode 57, we continue our look into deputy gangs in the L.A. County Sheriff's Department. Last time, we talked about the run of 2 incredibly violent gangs, in the Spartans and Jump Out Boys. But on today's show, we once again have to go back to the East Los Angeles Station, the home of the Banditos, the most recent gang to operate out of the station, and easily one of the gangs most closely resembling a street gang, out of all the deputy gangs in the LASD. Specifically, we'll talk about the rise of Banditos, as well as how they came to control the East Los Angeles Station, and the deputies that got caught in the middle, having their careers derailed in the process. I Hope everyone thoroughly enjoys today's show and tunes back in next week.PLEASE follow us on our socials-Instagram and Twitter: @theblackhandpodSources:Background Music:Music: Dark Flashes by Shane Ivers - https://www.silvermansound.comIntro Music:Music: Void Glider by Shane Ivers - https://www.silvermansound.comIntro audio sources:Lufthansa clip belongs to The Fox Corporation“New York City is a warzone” clip belongs to CBS Broadcasting Inc.Joey Gallo and “Leave by violence” clip belongs to the American Broadcasting CompanySupport the show

This week in the studio, Sean Beckner-Carmitchel joins Tina-Desiree Berg. Eman Padilla was arrested not far from a protest outside Sheriff Alex Villanueva's home in Los Angeles County on November 18, 2020. At that time, he was told there was a warrant for his arrest and charged with Attempted Train Derailment- a charge that holds a maximum of life imprisonment. He was also informed that it was related to his allegedly leaving a temporary barrier- which LASD brings out with regularity and uses- on top of train tracks. His wife was also detained the following week for charges related to her car registration. While she was detained- the LASD ransacked their home. DA Gascon dropped the charges shortly after taking office.

After looking at the issues that may arise in a close knit rural department, we look at what happens when a police force is as big as a city population. Though the danger is potential in any county in America, we're facing a massive problem within the LASD, LAPD and its 30,000 soldiers that affects US citizens, non-citizens, and beyond that- a hindrance on solving missing cases.Know of a missing woman's case that needs attention?
