Send us a textIn this episode, Dr. Jacy Ippolito and I discuss a wide range of coaching topics! Here are the key points:Isolation of Coaches and Leaders: Many coaches and leaders feel isolated due to the lack of clear roles and a sense of needing to be the "hero." This isolation can hinder effectiveness. The Coaching Continuum: The concept of "levels of coaching intensity" is introduced. These levels range from building relationships (Level 1) to analyzing practice (Level 2) to transforming practice (Level 3). Alignment is Key: Successful coaching is not just about individual efforts but about a whole-system approach. Alignment between coaches, leaders, and teachers' goals is crucial for optimal outcomes.Curiosity vs. Fear: Analyzing practice requires a shift from fearing judgment to embracing curiosity about student learning outcomes. This curiosity fuels the desire to transform teaching practices.Resistance as a Systems Issue: Resistance to change is often rooted in systemic issues, not individual shortcomings. Building a culture of coaching and addressing the underlying causes of resistance are more effective than "fixing" teachers.BEGINNING OF SCHOOL YEAR SPECIAL[IN PERSON PD} Breaking Through Resistance and Building Buy-InCONTACT US to qualify for the special and to get on our mailing list.[[FREE]] Sibme Coaching AppLet's Stay Connected!Website | Instagram | Twitter | Linkedin | Facebook | Contact Us

Tara Meegan is the Creative Director and a Lead Teacher with the Embodied Awakening Academy, a globally recognized Tantra school leading over 20,000 students worldwide in the realms of emotional, relational, and sexual mastery. For almost a decade, Tara has been devoted to living the philosophy of Tantra in every aspect of her life, passionately sharing this knowledge alongside her lived experiences. Now, you may be wondering, what is Tantra, and why is it valuable? Before I offer my take on it, I want to acknowledge that I asked myself the very same question when I was first exposed to Tantra over two years ago. At the time, I was seeking deeper resolution in my emotional, relational, and sexual life and it was in my very first introductory workshop where I met Tara. This ultimately propelled me into a deep journey over the past years into this field of work. As I see it, you may consider Tantra as a philosophy or way of living that embraces every aspect of the human experience and seeks to create a harmonious relationship with it—this includes areas where we may hold deep shame, fear, and insecurities, but also our desires, needs, and longings. Tantra can support us in working with these aspects of ourselves, rather than keeping them hidden away. I can confidently say that this philosophy has provided me with many valuable insights, among other things, and I was excited to bring Tara on board— who's now become aa dear friend and someone I deeply respect in this field. I've always admired Tara's devotion to this path and the way she embodies the feminine principle. And while I do see differences in our work, I honor them as complementary serving a similar purpose. In this conversation, Tara and I dive into what Tantra means to her and explore some of the core tenets that are particularly predominant in the Embodied Awakening Academy. From there, we discuss some of the difficulties that Tara observes among the male clients she serves, offering an in-depth roadmap for reconnecting with ourselves emotionally and cultivating resilience. Additionally, she shares some great insights on relationships and sexuality towards the end of our conversation—insights that I have greatly benefited from and that have served me well in my own life. — Connect with Tara: Website: https://embodiedawakeningacademy.com/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/tarameegan/?hl=de Find Out More about the "Embodied Awakening Academy: https://www.instagram.com/embodiedawakeningacademy/?hl=de Listen to the "Love, Sex & Freedom" Podcast: https://open.spotify.com/show/5kj89Q668brjHTY78pybgU?si=43254fe2c5d24bab Connect with Alex: Website: https://www.alexlehmann.co/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/alexlehmann_/?hl=en Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/@HeartofManPodcast/featured Email: alexlehmanncoaching@gmail.com Interested in working with me 1:1? In this episode we explore the research behind Choice Theory! Developed by psychiatrist William Glasser, Choice Theory emphasizes that people's behavior is driven by their desire to fulfill five basic needs. These needs include: survival, love and belonging, power, freedom, and fun. Send us a Text Message.Watch the UNEDITED Youtube version too! This podcast episode confronts the epidemic of isolation plaguing educators, instructional coaches and school leaders. Dr. Jody Carrington, a child psychologist turned best-selling author and public speaker, joins me with her sass and boldness to discuss the root cause of this isolation- a system that most times prioritizes cold efficiency over human connection.Educators, wired for connection, are drowning in a sea of disconnection which has led to widespread burnout and exhaustion. The ability to manage their own emotions, Dr. Jody argues, is one of the most important skills educators and leaders can develop. Emotional regulation allows adults to better support other adults and students, as well as navigate the often-stressful educational environment.Leaders are called upon to dismantle the culture of niceness that permeates education. Send us a Text Message.**Watch the unedited Youtube episode here**Are you looking for the ultimate list for what makes a great leader? You won't find that here. This episode dives into the surprising truth: the best leaders are the ones who can comfortably straddle contradictions. This podcast episode is about the book "The Eight Paradoxes of Great Leadership" by Tim Elmore. The main idea is that leadership is not about following a set of rules, but rather about balancing paradoxes. The episode discusses paradoxes such as:Having a clear vision and embracing blind spots: Great leaders have a vision for the future but also understand their blind spots. They can leverage their blind spots to their advantage by seeking out feedback from others.Being stubborn and open-minded: Great leaders are both stubborn and open-minded. They are stubborn in the sense that they hold firm to their core values, but they are also open-minded to new ideas and feedback.Having high standards and gracious forgiveness: Great leaders have high standards for themselves and their teams, but they are also forgiving of mistakes. They create a culture of growth mindset where mistakes are seen as opportunities to learn.Having attention on the personal and the collective: Great leaders are able to balance their personal needs with the needs of the collective. They show that they understand the big picture, but they also empathize with the personal struggles of their team members.Tim Elmore Info:LinkedIn | Instagram | Facebook | Website8 Paradoxes of Leadership (book)Check out The Whole Educator Programs to book us for Spring and Fall PD!Podcast Sponsor:[FREE] Sibme Coaching PlatformLet's Stay Connected!Website | Instagram | Twitter | Linkedin | Facebook | Contact Us

Send us a Text Message.Coaches and leaders, I know that you make a ton of decisions everyday. What would it be like to feel empowered and energized while making them (instead of fristrated and exhausted)? Neuroscience expert Dr. Chris Lee joins this podcast to shed light on how our brains work for and against us when making choices. From overcoming negativity bias to harnessing the power of intuition, Dr. Chris Lee offers actionable tips and strategies to make better decisions and feel more satisfied with the outcomes. Key points:Our brains are wired for survival, not happiness. This can lead to negativity bias and neurological drift, where negative thoughts and memories get worse over time.Effective decision-making is a habit. It requires awareness of your triggers, alignment with your goals, and rewarding yourself for making good choices. (Learn the 3-step process)Intuition is real, but it's not magic. This is a vital art of decision-making (and feeling satisfied about it). It's a feeling of inspiration or connection to an idea, but it's important to distinguish it from fear-based thoughts.Overcoming fear and discomfort: Build your capacity for curiosity (over fear) and taking calculated risks for progress. So, if you're ready to step into some bold decision-making while feeling satisfied and fulfilled, give this episode a listen. And remember, embracing the vulnerability it takes to take risks along the way is how we truly make those choices that light us up.Podcast Sponsor:Sibme Coaching PlatformLet's Stay Connected!Website | Instagram | Twitter | Linkedin | Facebook | Contact Us
