For way too long, I thought training more meant training better. Six or seven days a week, sometimes twice a day, because if I wasn't pushing my limits, was I even making progress?I see this all the time now. People grinding through back-to-back workouts, ignoring the signals their bodies are screaming at them. Constant fatigue, stubborn plateaus, weird little injuries that just won't go away. And for what? More isn't always better. In fact, sometimes, it's the very thing holding you back.I used to think I had to train like an athlete to see results—until my body literally forced me to slow the hell down. The truth is, real progress happens in the recovery, not just in the reps. And if you're stuck, exhausted, or just not seeing the changes you expected… it might be time to rethink your approach. In today's episode, I'm breaking it all down. We'll talk about the signs of overtraining—like constant fatigue, plateaus, and mood swings—and why they happen in the first place. I'll explain how too much exercise can actually mess with your strength, metabolism, and hormones, making it harder to see results. And, most importantly, I'll show you why rest days are just as critical as your workouts and how you can train smarter (not just harder) to get stronger, feel better, and actually make progress. If you've ever felt guilty for taking a rest day, or wondered why your workouts aren't hitting the same way anymore… this episode is for you!Because here's the deal: training smarter > training more. And learning to listen to your body? That's where the real gains happen.I Also Discuss:(00:00) Fitness Q&A(10:46) Effective Strength Training and Fat Loss(24:42) High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) & Mobility(32:07) Footwear for Strength Training(38:23) Podcast Thank You MessageThank You to Our Sponsors:Broads: Broads gives you structured, progressive training and a powerhouse community to keep you strong, consistent, and unstoppable. For way too many years, I let the number on the scale define me. I truly believed that if I could just make myself smaller, everything else in life would fall into place.I remember sitting alone in my dorm room, heating up some bland, low-calorie frozen meal while my teammates ate together in the dining hall. I thought I was being “good.” I thought that eating less meant I was more disciplined, more in control. But the reality? I was exhausted, constantly hungry, and stuck in a vicious cycle of restriction and bingeing. Then came the email from my coach. If I didn't lose weight, I'd lose my scholarship. And the worst part? My entire team was cc'd on it. That was the moment I realized my body wasn't mine anymore… it was a number to be judged, controlled, and criticized.Today, we're breaking down why the scale is lying to you. Why doesn't it actually measure your health, your strength, or your progress. And why, as women, we need to stop chasing smaller and start focusing on stronger. If you've ever let the scale dictate your self-worth, this episode is for you. Because trust me… your body is capable of so much more than just fitting into a number.I Also Discuss:(00:00) – Liberating Yourself From the Scale(07:47) – Why Daily Weight Fluctuations Don't Mean Anything(12:48) – The Trap of Comparing Your Current Weight to Your Past Self(17:31) – Metrics Beyond the Scale(25:24) – Embracing Strength Beyond the ScaleThank You to Our Sponsors:Broads: Broads gives you structured, progressive training and a powerhouse community to keep you strong, consistent, and unstoppable. Most people think intuitive eating is just eating whatever you want, whenever you want, but that's not it at all.In today's episode, I'm breaking down what intuitive eating actually means, why it's not just about cravings, and how to fuel your body without obsessing over calories or macros.Spoiler: intuitive eating isn't just “listening to your body” with no structure, because let's be real, sometimes your cravings are straight-up lying to you. Instead, we're talking about how to balance mindful eating with real nutrition, so you can feel strong, energized, and satisfied without the guilt or restriction. There are so many myths about intuitive eating, especially on social media, where it's often framed as simply eating whatever sounds good in the moment. But true intuitive eating is about understanding what your body actually needs and making choices that support your energy, strength, and overall well-being. One of the biggest challenges is learning how to tell the difference between real hunger and emotional cravings, because stress, boredom, and hormones can all trick you into thinking you need something when you really don't. I'll also share why I don't count calories or macros, but still pay close attention to one key factor in my diet that makes a huge difference in how I feel and perform. Plus, if you're strength training or trying to build muscle, I'll explain exactly how to apply intuitive eating in a way that fuels your goals without undereating or overindulging. If you've ever felt stuck between “clean eating” and total chaos, this episode is for you.Intuitive eating isn't about ignoring nutrition, it's about making choices that actually make you feel good, now and long-term.I Also Talk About:(05:05) What Intuitive Eating Really Means(13:15) How to Tell the Difference Between Hunger & Cravings(18:34) The One Macro I Always Track(23:10) How Your Menstrual Cycle Affects Your AppetiteThank You to Our Sponsors: Cronometer: Track your nutrition with precision— Cronometer provides real data on macros, micros, and everything in between for better health and performance. Tara Meegan is the Creative Director and a Lead Teacher with the Embodied Awakening Academy, a globally recognized Tantra school leading over 20,000 students worldwide in the realms of emotional, relational, and sexual mastery. For almost a decade, Tara has been devoted to living the philosophy of Tantra in every aspect of her life, passionately sharing this knowledge alongside her lived experiences. Now, you may be wondering, what is Tantra, and why is it valuable? Before I offer my take on it, I want to acknowledge that I asked myself the very same question when I was first exposed to Tantra over two years ago. At the time, I was seeking deeper resolution in my emotional, relational, and sexual life and it was in my very first introductory workshop where I met Tara. This ultimately propelled me into a deep journey over the past years into this field of work. As I see it, you may consider Tantra as a philosophy or way of living that embraces every aspect of the human experience and seeks to create a harmonious relationship with it—this includes areas where we may hold deep shame, fear, and insecurities, but also our desires, needs, and longings. Tantra can support us in working with these aspects of ourselves, rather than keeping them hidden away. I can confidently say that this philosophy has provided me with many valuable insights, among other things, and I was excited to bring Tara on board— who's now become aa dear friend and someone I deeply respect in this field. I've always admired Tara's devotion to this path and the way she embodies the feminine principle. And while I do see differences in our work, I honor them as complementary serving a similar purpose. In this conversation, Tara and I dive into what Tantra means to her and explore some of the core tenets that are particularly predominant in the Embodied Awakening Academy. From there, we discuss some of the difficulties that Tara observes among the male clients she serves, offering an in-depth roadmap for reconnecting with ourselves emotionally and cultivating resilience. Additionally, she shares some great insights on relationships and sexuality towards the end of our conversation—insights that I have greatly benefited from and that have served me well in my own life. — Connect with Tara: Website: https://embodiedawakeningacademy.com/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/tarameegan/?hl=de Find Out More about the "Embodied Awakening Academy: https://www.instagram.com/embodiedawakeningacademy/?hl=de Listen to the "Love, Sex & Freedom" Podcast: https://open.spotify.com/show/5kj89Q668brjHTY78pybgU?si=43254fe2c5d24bab Connect with Alex: Website: https://www.alexlehmann.co/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/alexlehmann_/?hl=en Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/@HeartofManPodcast/featured Email: alexlehmanncoaching@gmail.com Interested in working with me 1:1? Episode 57.As an American who made Aliyah (moved to Israel) about a year ago with her family, she has found herself in an all-too-real Israel. Her lifelong liberal leaning into the Ruach (spirit) and not the war of the prayer she grew up with, has been shattered. Discovering that both spirit and war is necessary has been humbling. That said, joining the ranks of volunteers, in her case doing agricultural work near the Gaza border, has reconnected her with the original vision of Israel. Moreover, being swept up in the national spirit has been like nothing she's ever experienced. From the New-Age to Jesus-centered. The coaching industry is very aligned with new-age philosophies, manifestation, and the universe, instead of focusing on scripture and bringing Glory to God. A triumphant and emotional story of going from the New Age to Jesus. New-age philosophies and idolatry have been around forever. The Old Testament is full of stories of people worshiping idols. We are told over and over again, with the commandments and again by Jesus in the New Testament that we are to have no other God's before Him. New age philosophies are appealing to spiritual seekers because they mascarade as love and light. These beliefs appear harmless and feel good because they take away any restrictions on life. Satan uses these New Age things such as astrology, crystals, tarot cards, etc. to distract you. He desires to lead you away from Christ and into believing all of the answers lie within these earthly things. Deception is real As humans, we all want a quick fix, comfort, convenience, etc. However, God has called us to work for His glory. He doesn't promise everything will be easy and smooth sailing. He tells us in scripture that in this life there will be trouble, but not to fear because He has overcome the world (Satan). Doubt and fear may cause us to avoid doing the work necessary to grow as individuals and to grow our businesses. This may also come into play with forgiving others. But God has called us to forgive just as He has forgiven and if we do so, He will forgive us. The lies of the New Age beliefs When you are in the New Age, you think that bad things aren't going to happen to you. It takes time to realize that the law of attraction doesn't shield you from bad things. You may actually get something through the law of attraction, but then it disappears, it isn't lasting. Tara shared that she believes that many times people find it difficult to trust God because they have father wounds. They didn't have an earthly father that loved them and that they could trust, therefore they don't trust God as the Heavenly Father. Read the full show notes and access all links. Wingnut Social: The Interior Design Business and Marketing Podcast
How much should I pay myself as an interior design business owner? Do I need to have a million-dollar business to be a millionaire? And what does profit-first mean? Tara Newman is here to help you calculate your revenue goal, figure out how much you should be charging for your services, and learn what percentage you should be paying yourself as the business owner. Tara Newman is the Founder and CEO of The Bold Profit Academy where she teaches service-based business owners how to sell premium services and programs without the emotional stress of launching, worrying about ads, overwhelming social strategies or complex funnels.Tara hosts a weekly podcast called The Bold Money Revolution and has been featured in publications like Money Magazine, Yahoo Finance, and Huffington Post as well as other publications and podcasts. *** ⭐️Tara says that $250,000 per year is what allows you to pay yourself $10,000 a month. It's not necessarily a factor of whether we should be looking things at an annual basis or monthly basis. Tara works with many business owners, particularly established female experts running service-based businesses. One of the big moments for these women who are experts at what they do, but not necessarily experts at business when they get started, is when they realize they need to replace their traditional salary (which is often around 6 figures). Tara says if you want to be paying yourself $100,000 a year, you need to have business revenue in excess of $250,000 a year. If you're running a business bringing in $250,000 or less in revenue, in profit-first theory, you should be able to pay yourself 50% of that revenue. ⭐️When you're scaling your business and hiring employees, how do you keep on track with paying yourself adequately within the profit-first formula? As business owners, it's important to get into a habit of asking yourself, “How can I simplify?” Ask yourself these questions on a weekly basis: What can I delete? What isn't adding any value to my customer experience? Tara says if it's not adding to your customer experience, then it's not adding value to you in the long run. Another thing to ask yourself is what you can automate. There are some great technological options and simple tools that allow businesses to automate more and still maintain a high-touch business. Tara finds that many business owners don't understand their operation well enough, and they just start hiring employees because they feel overwhelmed. Instead, Tara recommends you stop and check in on how to reduce the overwhelm not necessarily through adding a person. Can better boundaries be established? Is there some clarity we can have around our process? These things need to be addressed before scaling, otherwise you run the risk of complicating your process in a costly way. The ultimate goal of scaling is to increase revenue without adding equal amounts of expense. ⭐️How do you know if you're charging enough for your services, and how do you find out your goal revenue? We all have our own magic number that we need to hit based on our personal financial goals and situation. Tara created a revenue goal calculator that allows you to reverse-engineer your particular needs. When using the calculator, you'll put in your personal financial needs and then it will calculate what revenue goal you need to hit in order to pay yourself. Check out the revenue goal calculator at theboldleadershiprevolution.com/revenue. ***

Managing and growing a family and a business together is not an easy feat. But this power couple is killing it! Discover their secret in today's episode of Remote Millionaires. Akin and Tara are the owners of Increase Biz Now, a family-owned, black-owned digital marketing agency that helps businesses increase their visibility and their brand. Akin & Tara noticed that all companies needed a website and be on social media platforms. They saw that businesses need branded marketing materials, systems, structure, and scalability tactics, which sparked the idea of building an agency providing those services. Soon enough, their client base soared to the point where they had to hire a team. Akin & Tara would not have been able to overcome the challenges that come with building a full-service agency without the help of the Remote Millionaires Program. “Don't expect success overnight, but take imperfect action every day.” (22:58) - Akin “I will just tell women to really share with your husband or your significant other on the roles that you want to play in the business, 'what is it that you mind doing, and here's how I can help out so that this business can be successful.'” (10:57) - Tara In This Episode: Akin & Tara share their journey to building and growing a full-service digital marketing agency that helps businesses increase their visibility and their brand How to share responsibilities as spouses in business and how women can become better partners in business Client prospecting strategies (waiting for clients to contact you is certainly not the best way to do it) How to accomplish multiple things while learning the skills to build an agency and moving forward with revenue-generating activities How the Remote Millionaires Program helped Akin & Tara jumpstart their business (Sales Training, building SOPs & processes, etc.) Akin & Tara's advice for couples who would like to build their business together And much more… Connect with Akin & Tara: Website: https://increasebiznow.com/ (https://increasebiznow.com/) Facebook: https://web.facebook.com/increasebiznow/ (https://web.facebook.com/increasebiznow/) Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/increasebiznow/ (https://www.instagram.com/increasebiznow/) Connect with Tom Gaddis: Website: https://remotemillionaires.com/ (https://remotemillionaires.com/) Facebook: https://web.facebook.com/remotemillionaires (https://web.facebook.com/remotemillionaires) Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/remotemillionaireslifestyle/ (https://www.instagram.com/remotemillionaireslifestyle/)

Tara discusses how she helps individuals work through their chronic pain, yoga poses that are helpful for people with IC, and how powerful yoga and mindfulness practices can be to the body and mind. Disability Consultant & Counsellor, Tara Geraghty-Ellis, had a difficult start after being born with Spina bifida and Hydrocephalus. She was initially given only a 10% chance of survival, but beat the odds and defied doctors' expectations. Later, as the only child with a disability in her school, she endured bullying and harassment from students and teachers. Over time, Tara worked through her trauma, acknowledging and accepting her emotions, and made the conscious choice to be a happy, successful person. Tara embraces all of the experiences that have shaped her life and is now on a mission to bring people together and advocate for those with disabilities, so they can live to their fullest potential. Tara's hope is that people with disabilities will be seen, not just as their diagnosis, but as whole human beings with hopes and dreams. Welcome to episode 55. Today I have Tara Heaton, the founder of En Pointe Communication is joining me on this episode. Tara created this consulting business by applying her years of neuroscience research to her years of leadership, sales and presentation experience. Her clients are purpose-driven leaders, speakers and salespeople who are looking to improve their ability to influence teams, audiences and prospects. Before En Pointe, Tara worked for 23 years in sales, sales management and as vice-president of sales for a $400M+ national corporation. Interestingly and quite tragically, Tara's daughter was struck with a rare virus in 2005. What ensued was a lifetime of seizures that have caused gradual and significant brain damage. This catapulted Tara into a lifelong, mono-maniacal study of the brain as it relates to memory, human behavior, habit and function. These years of study, paralleled with Tara's devotion to the art and sport of communication, inspired her Talk To The Brain platform. With an eBook, speeches, workshops and coaching, Tara teaches strategies and techniques based on the neuroeconomics of what delights and influences the minds of audiences in today's noisy world. On this episode Tara and I talk a bit about her daughter, her experience and how she navigated through all of it. We also talk about the brain, how it holds us back from selling and how our brain is wired to help us actually get better results. Specifically, here's what you will learn: Finding our way of processing our emotions How the brain holds us back from selling How we can use insights from how our brain is wired to help us get better results What we can do to prepare ourselves to help manage the fears that show up How adrenaline can actually help us in our selling What to do when you don't believe in the product or service you are selling How to self manage a little bit better, slow down the connection through the device and increase the connection through human touch. In today's episode, Jordan & Tara talk about... Living their lives from a headspace and how they learned to reintegrate their emotions; The masculine and feminine energies and why we need both; Working as a female in a male-dominated industry and the challenges that come with that; How to engage more vulnerability and empathy in your work relationships (and all relationships); and more! About Tara McFarland Tara's passion for bringing this conversation to the Engineering industry and starting my coaching company grew out of my own work experience and development, particularly when I transitioned from a technical design lead to a program manager. Tara Eden, Feldenkrais Practitioner, began her Somatic Movement Project as a child and continued her innate life journey as an observer and student of the human condition. She travelled an intense route of self-expression via the heat and power of yoga, striving to overcome frustration, anxieties and burnout – society's common symptoms of chronic disconnection to self in a saturated life chasing improvement, betterment and existential change. Tara explains how we have tried to form and conform ourselves to not only yoga but society's poses and postures without reference to the individual self. Moving from the frenzied pace of New York to exploring a spiritual path in Chiang Mai, Thailand, Tara found personal vulnerabilities were exposed in the energetic exchange of Thai massage. Leading herself with this newfound “feeling” and beginning to differentiate uncomfortable choice points led to the discovery of limitations in yoga for options of choice, rest and adaptation. Tara transitioned into a Feldenkrais immersion of authenticity and acceptance of self, and now offers this window to others wanting to see themselves clearly, discover healthier self-use, empowerment to trust and learn from their own embodied experience and to discover a unique inner calm, stillness and self-knowing that arrives spontaneously in an embodied state change. Tara suggests strategies to have this container of Feldenkrais for yourself, as a structure and a lens for being able to support yourself and other people in their authentic experience of themselves, to literally and metaphorically “come to the floor” and reconnect with themselves. Tara is a Feldenkrais Practitioner and member of ISMETA (International Somatics Movement Education and Therapy Association) offering individual, group, online and face to face Functional Integration and Awareness Through Movement lessons and Somatic Movement Mentorship. There is no perfect time to launch a new idea. Go too early and there's a good chance you've not done enough planning. Launch too late and the opportunity may have fizzled. So, how do you find the bullseye? This week's guest, Tara Rogers-Ellis, has been successfully launching new companies, new strategies, and new concepts since the age of 19. In this episode, she shares her keys to creating business ideas which flourish. Her philosophy of "Ready, Fire, Aim" has served her, and her clients, well. "Ready" is comprised of a deep dive into strategy and purpose. "Fire" only after creating a sound plan - but before it's considered perfect (because nothing ever is). "Aim" speaks to adjusting as necessary after launch when real time impact and opportunities can be assessed. Tara's driven by curiosity and the commitment to always deliver more in value than expected in any situation - be it professional or personal. Her company name "Mojo", meaning “lucky charm or spirit”, has its roots in her African heritage, and the team's role is to help find their clients' Mojo, to make their customers fall in love with them. Her work centres trauma healing and radical safe space. She brings out her witch skills and unique process oriented experiential healing whether you’re just beginning the journey into motherhood or you’ve been on the ride for years. Nothing else quite sums up this episode like Rachael's very own bio. In her own words, Rachael Rose is a storyteller, an empath, a doula and a damn good listener. Her body is a soft, silky and safe container and there are many other people’s deepest and darkest secrets stored within her flesh. Over the last 5 years, Rachael has been healing from trauma and abuse, disordered eating and disconnection from her body. She has gratefully emerged from the cocoon as a butterfly spreading her wings, still delicate, but now deliciously dangerous with the strength of her own self-acceptance and belief in her ability to transform tragedy into triumph. This triumph and the ways in which all women and mothers can ignite theirs, through their own varied degrees of body image challenges, is exactly what we tune into on today's episode. If you're a woman, a mother, who has her heart set on staying with herself and her body on a deeper level, so you can create real change in the world, this episode is for you. To kick off season two of the podcast, I invited the incredible Thais Sky to come and have one of the most rich and hearty conversations I’ve had all year. We dive into the topics that have hit me right in the centre of my deepest unravellings this year - we talk about the worthiness wound within women, the ways we seek to control our lives and the world around us, how our patriarchal society affects the pace, priviledge and power dynamics of our lives, and all of the sneaky and subtle ways we avoid looking at our wounds in fear of being the victim we’ve been shamed into fearing. We speak to the complexity of what it means to be human - with limitations, potential and everything in between, and how we can ensure our boundaries don’t become barriers to what we really need the most - connection. I feel so incredibly humbled and honoured to have had this conversations with Thais and I know you’re going to love it. Thais also has a couple of spots left in her upcoming course ‘Worthy Women Rise’, so please go ahead and tune into the podcast and be sure to connect with her using the links below to soak up more of her work. Today's episode is a super real and raw look at how we relate to sexual assault, shame, speaking up about how safe women feel in Australia today, and how we can use our voices, our bodies and each other to reconnect with the strength and power we need to rise above it all. Bec Cameron - Vulnerability Coach, PT and creator of the Bad Bitch Workouts in Melbourne - shares her own experience with sexual assault, her take on the process women embark on when navigating reporting and speaking about their experiences, and how to start taking our power back - physically, emotionally and mentally. A bit about Bec: Bec Cameron is an Vulnerability Coach, based in Melbourne and working with women from all over the globe. A fighter, a visionary and a feminist, Bec is an advocate for human rights, social justice and personal power. Focusing on the impact of vulnerability and it’s potential to influence a woman’s confidence, Bec conducts 1:1 Coaching sessions, as well as group workouts (The Bad Bitch Workout), and is available for public speaking, workshops, podcasts and women’s self defense seminars. Known for her fearlessness, her humour (often self deprecating) and her ability to hold a crowd aged 5 to 85, Bec teaches how engage with your insecurities, reclassifying what makes you vulnerable as your very own superpower. Her work empowers women to take up space, renegotiate with their inner critic, embrace their ferocity, their anger and their inherent, unquestionable power, in order transform their sense of self and experience life changing emotional freedom. For some, Power is a dirty word. For someone like me, it's a coming home to the truth of who we are and accepting our responsibility to respond to and participate in the world around us. In today's episode I give some insight into what Personal Power means to me, and how it has been the lens through which my whole entire life has been transformed - from my parent's divorce, right through to my experience of childbirth. I give you in an insight into my personal story, how my personal wounds were shaped and how I learnt to disengage from my power in order to keep myself from pain. I share in hindsight how I now know this to have played out in my own birthing experience with my son, and how my unique relationship to power - using my inner daughter as my guide - has expanded my capacity to love, lead, have hard conversations, advocate for others in a deeper way, and be a human being participating in this world by first accepting and honouring who I am as a human being. If you feel ready to explore you're own personal power as it relates to your own personal story, and begin living a life where you feel in your power moment to moment, be sure to join my mailing list below or at taracaetano.com to have the first opportunity to join In Her Power when it opens again in a couple of weeks. As women, if we're seen as angry, we are immediately categorised by society as emotionally unstable, inconsistent, and quite frankly, unable to get our shit together. Yet this anger, this fire in our belly, holds so much power and information for us if we choose to feel it and express it in a healthy way, and is often the missing link for women who are searching for deeper meaning, fulfilment and a relationship to life that really means something to them. In this episode I share my own story of suppressing anger, my voice and my truth as a child, how the masks I wore helped keep my 'anger' in check and the suffering that causes, and how anger is a vital piece in my empowerment as a woman today. We also talk about why we fear anger as an emotion, what has created that relationship, and how anger can help you transition from trying to escape your pain and problems, to actively walking towards a clear and potent form of power that we don't even realise we haven't defined for ourselves. Does the stress of money eat into your sense of wellbeing and being present with your children? Do you often connect your self-worth to your net-worth, and question your ‘success’ since becoming a mother? Today I’m chatting with CA, CPA + Money Relationship Expert, Selina Gray, about a topic we rarely open up to when talking about all things motherhood. Money is one of the greatest pain points for so many mothers and families, and as our time and energy begins to shift when we become a mother, the shame and scarcity that we can experience around earning and managing our money is often left silenced. We talk about: - Some of the common money struggles Selina sees amongst her clients who are mothers - How to cultivate a sense of inner richness, for ourselves and our children - The topic of safety, and how we connect our feeling of safety to x amount of dollars, and what we can do instead to feel secure around money - How to relate to money and conscious wealth in an empowering way - Practical ways to include your children in your conscious wealth practices A bit about Selina: Selina is a CPA, CA & money relationship expert with over 15 years of experience reinventing finance for individuals, small business, and corporations. She has successfully managed and integrated various corporate acquisitions and served as controller for two internationally publicly traded companies. Selina has led an international team of over 30 finance ninjas. As a proven Moneyboss, she's helped thousands of people change their relationship with money and transform their lives. Selina believes money is an inside job; it starts from within & requires an intimate knowledge of both emotions and practical money skills. Selina is mama to a feisty and very adorable toddler! Heel clicks and twirls are her love language. Is it possible to instantly free yourself from mum guilt? Is there a way that you can move through fear (whether it’s fear of starting a business, sending your child to daycare or finding your voice) in a truly powerful way that sees you stepping out of victimhood every day and owning your choices? According to my amazing friend and this week’s podcast guest, Amber Hawken, the answer is a big fat YES! And it’s so much more simple and accessible to you than you’ve ever realised. Today I’m chatting with Mindfulness Based Cognitive Behavioural Therapist, Amber Hawken, about my favourite subject in the whole world - empowerment. And how as mothers, we get to bring a whole new level of responsibility and awareness to what life feels like at our centre, so we can navigate every single part of this human experience with a whole lot more freedom and fulfilment. I work with Amber within her businesses and have such deep admiration and respect for the way she can breakdown some of the really heavy and complex parts of life and completely shift the way our minds relate to them. She speaks straight to the hearts of mothers in this interview which I’m so grateful for, and I have no doubt you’re going to leave this episode feeling so much more capable and empowered to handle whatever is real for you right now. We talk about: - What sits at the core of all our pain and suffering - How to acknowledge and be present for our emotions AND consciously move past them - What is often sitting at the heart of mum guilt and how to move through it - Why you don’t need to know WHY you feel how you feel, and how to ask yourself empowering questions - The universal fear we all have of ‘I’m not good enough’ and how this inner victim mentality helps us fulfil our spiritual purpose - The power of unconditional love in helping us reclaim our power - Finding your centre so you can navigate when you’re at ‘cause’ or at ‘effect’ of your life - Redefining freedom and the power of perspective - Why taking responsibility for everything and everyone in your life is feeding your inner victim A bit about Amber: Amber Hawken is a Mindfulness-based Cognitive Behavioural Therapist, a qualified Neuro-Linguistic Programming Practitioner, and a Deep State Re-Patterning Therapist working with clients via her retreats, workshops, keynotes and one-on-one therapy around emotional, mental, and spiritual evolution and fulfilment. Amber is also the founder of Calm Mind Project, an initiative that's infusing mindfulness into schools across Australia, as well as serving businesses, parents and everyday people through the tools and techniques of mindfulness, meditation and self-awareness. Today I’m chatting with Women's Embodiment Physiotherapist, Taryn Gaudin, and in this episode we are going to completely change the way you relate to your postpartum body, your core, the way you move your body, and how all of that has the potential to radically shift how you express yourself as a woman and a mother. I honestly don’t know if I’ve ever had such an empowering conversation before about the power of movement as it relates to the soul, and I’m so excited for you to tune in. We talk about: - What is Core Embodiment? - How mothers can begin to integrate their connection to their physiological core and their core energy, beliefs, values and desires - Bringing the body back into the conversation around your passions and purpose - The power of presence in unearthing the real wisdom of our bodies postpartum - Exploring intentional movement after having children as poetry in motion and a form of self-expression - Allowing soul movement to be a part of your creative process - How to become more intimate in your relationship to movement through self-enquiry, music, affirmations and intention - Taking responsibility for the energy we bring to movement and releasing expectations around what it looks like - How Taryn has created radical change in every area of her life, simply by adjusting her relationship to movement - Using your post natal body to connect with your core energy and create the life and business you desire Connect with Taryn: Website | http://taryngaudin.com/ Core Energy Embodiment Practice | https://www.facebook.com/taryngaudin/videos/312639636180491/ Instagram | https://www.instagram.com/taryn_gaudin/ Facebook | https://www.facebook.com/taryngaudin Connect with Tara: Website | https://taracaetano.com/ Instagram | https://www.instagram.com/taracaetano/ Facebook | https://www.facebook.com/taracaetano/ Subscribe to the mailing list | http://eepurl.com/gctilH Show Notes | https://bit.ly/2MZiFKy
On this episode I chat with Kari Azuma, a coach and a mother who you may remember me mentioning on episode 3, as the facilitator of the Threshold Retreat that Estelle and I embarked on last year. Kari has been such a powerful mentor for me on all things motherhood, reconnecting me with the sacredness and ceremony of this transition that our society fails to create space for. The way she brings her leadership experience and roots in rites of passage to the motherhood experience is something I believe every mother should benefit from, and I’m thrilled to have her on the show. A bit about Kari: Since 2010, Kari Azuma has been blessed to coach board members of influential companies, entrepreneurs, coaches, and leaders in the health and wellness sectors. It wasn’t until suffering from postpartum depression and a full-blown identity crisis after the birth of her son in 2015, that she decided to dedicate her life’s work to coaching mothers on leadership development and overcoming stress and overwhelm through powerful self-realization. She works with mothers through social media, private sessions, and her elite group-coaching model, Empowered Mothers Alliance. Her latest love endeavor, Threshold, is a retreat that was born from her roots in rites of passage work. This immersive, in-person experience allows mothers to powerfully reclaim their identity through releasing shame, expectations and lineage patterns, freeing themselves to design the lives of their choosing as women and mothers. Through Kari’s work with mothers and expectant mothers, she hopes to fulfill on her mission to create a legacy of empowered mothers, leading the next 7 generations. On this episode I chat with with Alisha Kruger on one of my favourite topics of 2018 - How to align your life with your menstrual cycle. This has been such a game changer for me and I can pretty much give all the credit of this podcast being created and my business being relaunched in such a short amount of time, because I’ve applied everything that Alisha teaches about harnessing the strengths and superpowers of each phase of the cycle. And as a mother listening this, you’ll soon come to understand just how many areas of your life are about to be impacted upon putting this practice into motion - it’s revolutionary and will completely change how you perceive your energy, creativity, focus and lifestyle. A bit about Alisha: Alisha Kruger is a menstrual cycle coach, yoga teacher and creative. She guides women home to their feminine power through the practice of living in harmony with their menstrual cycles. Through healing her own cycle, Alisha has learned how living in flow with our innate cycles can transform our entire lives: from our physical and mental health, to the way we work, communicate and create. Alisha supports women through one on one coaching; women's circles; workshops; and her free online community, Feminine Rising. In October 2018, I said yes to attending a women’s retreat specifically for mothers. The retreat, called ‘Threshold’ and hosted by Kari Azuma, is a mother’s rite of passage retreat, an immersive experience of womanhood and motherhood that held space for mothers to cross the threshold of motherhood with dignity and power, healing our lineage, ourselves, our relationship with the feminine and defining our legacy as women. On this episode I sit down with Estelle Spano, a fellow mother’s coach who experienced the retreat alongside me, to share the power of this investment in ourselves, and how it’s transformed our motherhood experience to dat, so that you too may be inspired to invest in your own motherhood journey and be held and supported in the way your soul is asking for. A bit about Estelle: Estelle is a Mother to her three year old daughter Scarlett and it is her mission to support mothers in coming back to the deep knowing and remembering of their essence. She is a Certified Coach for Mothers who is passionate about supporting them to step into their power in all areas of their life, providing a relatable, uplifting, supportive coaching experience for Mothers to change their mindset, overcome blocks and truly lead with Grace and Passion. When it came to choosing a guest for the first official episode of this podcast, it was a dead easy decision. Emily is one of the women I consider my adopted family, a woman who embodies the art of staying. Whilst not a mother herself yet, she reminds me daily that before we can become the mother we desire to be, we must first accept our role as a daughter of the earth, reclaim the feminine within, and give ourselves permission to unapologetically own our light as a woman. It’s only then that the true divine mother within us can bloom. A bit about Emily: Emily Hassett is the chief channel of Spirited Seeker - a home for women to adventurously explore their inner realms and intentionally create their outer world. Through emotion-based coaching, cacao ceremonies and digital detox retreats, Emily invites you back to your body, safely landing with presence, clarity and delight. Her mission is to inspire women to write big, fat permission slips for themselves to be whole, wild and free.
