Das versprach klassische Horrorelemente, die es mitunter auch gab, aber Sam Raimi hat dem Film nur stellenweise seinen Stempel aufgedrückt. Der wie immer charismatische Benedict Cumberbatch darf gleich mehrere Versionen des Dr. Strange spielen, denn es öffnen sich die Tore zwischen den Multiversen.America Chavez, eine sympathische junge Dame, kann Portale öffnen und nutzt diese Fähigkeit, um vor einem Monster zu fliehen, dass der Dr. Strange unserer Welt aufhalten kann. Dr. Strange wendet sich an Wanda Maximoff, bzw. Scarlet Witch und es entspannt sich ein dramatischer Ablauf um das Zauberbuch Darkhold, um Wandas Kinder Tommy und Billy, um die Zauberburg Kamar-Taj, Wong und Traumwandeln, um Baron Mordo und sein Sanctum Sanctorum, um Polykarbonat-Gefängnisse, um Christine Palmer und die Illuminati (Captain Carter, Black Bolt, der König der Inhumans, Captain Marvel alias Maria Rambeau, Reed Richards alias Mister Fantastic und Professor Charles Xavier). Was das mit dem Buch von Vishanti, dem Zaubertempel auf dem Berg von Wundagore und der Zombieversion von Strange aus Erde 838 zu tun hat, wird im Film erklärt, Man muss nur genau aufpassen. Vor allem auf die Mid-Credit-Szene mit der mysteriösen Frau namens „Clea“.Im Podcast direkt nach dem Film versuchen Tom und Tom das unübersichtliche Überangebot zu sortieren. Und eines wird klar, auch die sehr guten Elemente des Films leiden massiv darunter, dass es noch 417 andere Elemente gibt. Das Ergebnis: cineastisches Sodbrennen. Der sehenswertere Multiversumsfilm ist dann doch EVERYTHING EVERYWHERE ALL AT ONCE. Rhys Thomas, who directed multiple episodes of Marvel's Hawkeye series (including the first two), has clarified when, exactly, the Disney+ show fits into the Marvel Cinematic Universe timeline. Despite fan speculation that Hawkeye takes place in 2025 (two years after the present-day in Avengers: Endgame), Thomas has confirmed the show unfolds in the MCU's version of 2024. "For a period of time, we were going to set it two years out - which would make it 2025 - hence me messing with your minds about the timeline. But it's [one] year out [from Endgame]," tweeted Thomas. Hawkeye set photos leaked well ahead of the series' debut showed Clint Barton, Kate Bishop, and Lucky/Pizza Dog in New York City's Chinatown district outside a store with a sign in its window reading "Happy New Year 2025," as well as text referring to it as a Snake Year on the Chinese Zodiac. (The next Snake Year is, indeed, 2025.) However, it wasn't until Hawkeye's marketing campaign confirmed the show takes place right before Christmas that fans had all the pieces they needed to conclude the show picks up in December 2024 and not the early part of 2025. While the series' main storyline plays out in the post-Blip MCU, Hawkeye's first episode opened with a flashback to a key moment from The Avengers (2012) -- which, in terms of the MCU's timeline, takes place over a decade before the show's present-day. "We wanted to figure out a pivotal moment that made sense for Kate to enter the MCU, especially through her eyes," said producer Trinh Tran when asked why the series' creatives decided to link Kate's backstory with Earth's Mightiest Heroes (Clint included) this way. Hahn also touched on why the role of Agatha appeals to her and why she wants to continue the character's story arc. Disney+ subscribers looking to watch either 2005's Fantastic Four or 2007's Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer will have to look elsewhere, as the two films have seemingly been removed from the platform. At this time, it's not totally clear why the two movie left Disney+ on Dec. 1. Josh Trank's maligned Fantastic Four reboot is still available on the platform, alongside the two animated series based on Marvel's First Family. However, rights issues for streaming can be complicated, so it's possible Fantastic Four and Rise of the Silver Surfer will eventually end up back on Disney+. Both removed films are also still available to stream on Peacock. Directed by Tim Story, 2005's Fantastic Four was the first live-action film based on the titular superheroes to receive an official release. The movie starred Ioan Gruffudd as Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic, Jessica Alba as Sue Storm/Invisible Woman, Chris Evans as Johnny Storm/Human Torch, Michael Chiklis as Ben Grimm/Thing and Julian McMahon as Victor Von Doom. Fantastic Four proved a moderate success at the box office, earning $333.5 million against a budget of between $87.5 and $100 million. However, the movie did not fare well with critics, and its score on Rotten Tomatoes currently sits at 27 percent. Fantastic Four and Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer were both distributed by 20th Century Fox and come from an era when Disney and Marvel Studios did not own the rights to the characters. However, in 2019, Disney bought 21st Century Fox, thus giving Marvel Studios the rights to the Fantastic Four.
