As mentioned last week, all polling points to a significant Republican pickup of congressional seats in the upcoming November General Election. It is a historical fact that the party that loses the White House in a presidential year, picks up congressional seats in the following midterm elections. Furthermore, Democrats are in disfavor because of runaway inflation. Voters blame Biden and the Democratic Congress for the inflated price of gas, groceries and everything else. KC Sheperd talks educational issues impacting Oklahoma with State Secretary of Education Ryan Walters. Walters is also the GOP Nominee running for the State Superintendent of Education in the November General Election. Walters tells Sheperd that “I believe in parents. I believe in our rural communities and our rural schools. I believe they are the backbone of the education system in the state of Oklahoma. I am going to do all that I can to continue to empower them and to make sure they are strong. The governor and I pushed and passed the Redbud Act which put over 38 million into stabilizing our most rural schools. That is something we thought was very important.” In rural communities, Walters said, a concern from parents is access for their children to different programs such as FFA, for example, or work in an internship or externship. Rural schools are unique, Walters said, because of how involved the staff and community are. There are many questions over whether or not money from medical marijuana and the lottery are being used for education in Oklahoma when so many schools are still underfunded throughout the state. Because of this reason, Walters said, he has already called for an audit. “Taxpayers need to see where their money is going and we need to make sure it is being utilized,” Walters said.

Live from the No Panic Zone—I'm Steve Gruber—I am America's Voice—God Bless America—God Bless You and let's do this! This is the Steve Gruber show— here to vaccinate you against rampant ignorance—roll up your sleeve—   Here are three big things you need to know right now—   ONE— So who will run for President as a Democrat—when Joe Biden gets bumped from the field? The horserace is on early—and its why Pete Buttigieg moved to Michigan— TWO— Senator Joe Manchin is still desperately trying to convince anyone that will listen that he didn't flip flop—when clearly he did—and that spending $800 billion means nothing for inflation— THREE— Primary Day in some key states—and the outcome in these key races could impact what happens in the November General election—   In Michigan the hotly contested race for Governor is looking more and more like a lock for political newcomer Tudor Dixon—a pair of new polls show her spiking significantly since being endorsed by President Trump on Friday—one new poll has her up 14 and another by an eye popping 25 points—we will have to see how that plays out—   In Arizona—Kari Lake—a former TV broadcaster is still dominating the polls—but one shows her main opponent up by a point—what will happen in her race—as she is also endorsed by President Trump— Also in Arizona—a key primary contest for the US Senate seat held by Mark Kelly—and will the GOP select another Trump endorsed America First candidate?   Then we look to Missouri where the GOP primary for US Senate is also critical to keeping the seat in the show me state Red—former Governor Eric Greitens has been running behind—BUT he was also hoping for a very late boost from the former President—   And…   But what is really at stake in November? To me, everything. I mean Governor Whitmer in Michigan was among the worst when it came to locking down the state—and when most schools in other states were back—full-time and in person—our kids were forced to stay home—and endure virtual learning—   And the Democrats—would love for Covid to surge again—because without the panic porn Joe Biden never would have made it to the White House—

What's the most important issue we have as Idahoans as we go into the November General Election? Reclaim Idaho has gotten enough signatures on their Quality Education Act to get it on the ballot. This would raise corporate taxes and would get rid of all of the tax cuts we saw this year. This means if passed, we would have 2021 taxes with 2022 inflation. What are your thoughts? Al Gore decided to speak out about climate change recently. He said that "Mother Nature has already declared a global emergency." Nate discussed that as well as a fictional sport changing its name to disassociate with the author that created it, a federal judge ruling that the Idaho transgender sports ban will remain blocked for now, and an Idaho Inmate who is using Tik Tok in order to find "pen pals", and the Idaho Department of Corrections not being able to stop it. In my observations of Alabama politics, every election year brings an underlying election year surprise or two. The underlying prevailing theme emerging from the Alabama political arena this year is that women have arrived politically in the Heart of Dixie. Share Your Good News With Us! - https://somethinggood.show/ TRANSCRIPT: ZAK: With COVID raging on and us spending so much time indoors, it's really easy to feel disconnected from our hometowns. And now, probably more than ever, what we're reading online feels like the only, or at least predominate reality and it's not pretty. But the writer, Jack Cheng recently had an experience that reminded him there is a chasm between stories we read online and the actual reality happening outside our door. JACK: So I signed up to be an election worker earlier this year and I worked both the March Presidential Primary and then the August Local Primary and I worked this past November General Election and just, like, going into it I think I had a lot of anxiety around...cause I was reading all these things in the news about, like, oh, you know, open and concealed carry and issues with like, potential challengers and poll-watchers. Yeah, I was just really on edge going into that day but once the day started and once people started coming in to vote, you know, we ended up seeing a lot of the regulars we saw in past elections in our precinct. And I think it was just this feeling of relief and this feeling that, like, maybe things aren't as crazy or as bad as I thought they were gonna be. I actually was trying to jot down little notes in my phone throughout the day and like, one of the notes that I wrote down was, "I will not let fear rule my life." And I think what that meant to me was I will not let this imagined world I've created in my head from reading all the news and from scrolling through the twitter feed...It's like, I will not let that become my reality. But, yeah, we had a number of challengers on site and they were all very respectful and all curious about the process, rather than looking for faults in the process. They were just trying to understand the work we were doing that day. ZAK: Yeah, do you like Regina Spektor? JACK: I don't think I've listened to any album all the way through of hers. Why? ZAK: You just reminded me of this great lyric of hers that I love where she says, "People are just people. They shouldn't make you nervous." JACK: Hahaha. That's great. ZAK: Jack Cheng's most recent novel is See You in the Cosmos. ZAK: I think this is a good time to tell you about a new project my colleagues at Graham Media are working on. It's called Something Good. It's a series highlighting the best in humanity. And we want to hear about the good that you're bringing into this world. If you go to SomethingGood.Show and then click that link at the top that says "Share your good news" it will take you down into a portal where we get to hear about what you've been up to. We can't wait to hear from you. Thanks so much. I'll talk to you soon.

While Biden & the democrats celebrate & dance in the street, it is actually republicans who grew their share of control over the US Senate, House & statehouses across the country. With that comes control over redistricting & the opportunity to strengthen republicans' hands in 2022 & 2024. Conservatives need to stop moping & complaining, but start celebrating how well they did in this election. The Mississippi Center for Justice and the American Civil Liberties Union argue in the suit that the state's absentee ballot law is confusing - citing language added by the legislature during the pandemic. What does it say about us all as humans? Then we take the opportunity of a Christmas Special to have a look at the nativity stories in Luke and Matthew. Another battle in the 3rd Congressional District: Lipinski, Newman, Darwish Season 1, Episode 17, June 17, 2019 Award winning former Chicago City Hall reporter, and syndicated political columnist Ray Hanania offers a preview of the upcoming battle brewing in the 3rd Congressional District, a seat held by Congressman Dan Lipinski since 2005 when he was appointed to the seat by his father, Bill Lipinski a former Chicago alderman from the powerful 23rd Ward in Chicago who held the congressional seat for over 20 years. Lipinski was challenged in the March 20, 2018 Democratic Primary election by Marie Newman, a southwest sider familiar with the district and Lipinski almost lost during the Presidential backlash that always follows the election of a new president (the opposition party usually takes the Congress in the 2nd year of a new president term. In this case, Democrats swept the country in the wake of Republican President Donald Trump's election.) Newman almost beat Lipinski coming within 1,600 votes of unseating him. The Democratic Primary IS the election. Whomever wins the Democratic Primary election will easily win the November General Election as the 3rd Congressional District is a hard core Democratic district that cannot be won by a Republican. In the upcoming election, Lipinski will again be challenged by Newman, but there is a curve ball, the candidacy of Rush Darwish, a smart community activist who hails from the moderate wing of the Arab American community. The 3rd Congressional District has one of the largest Palestinian constituencies in the country. In 2018, many of the Palestinians back Newman, a liberal. But her only problem was the influence of the far left extremists who undermined support she could have received. Lipinski had abandoned Palestinian voters for years. But the near defeat forced him to recognize that they can be a factor in the election outcome. Arab American voters helped Newman come within striking distance. Lipinski is a Reagan Democrat and the district is majority conservative Democrat. With Darwish in the race, Newman cannot win and almost certainly Lipinski will win a re-election bid. Ray Hanania looks at some of the factors involved int his podcast preview of this important congressional election contest. For more information on Ray Hanania's writings, visit his home page at www.Hanania.com. His podcasts on Mainstream politics are archived at www.RayHananiaonPolitics.com.
