In October of 1991 Urban's body was discovered 70km away from where the New Zealand Police said it should be, when it was discovered up a forest road in Parakiwai, near Whangamata.Yet despite this contradictory new evidence and the eventual discovery that a key witness had committed perjury, David Tamihere was not successful in his appeals and served 21 years before being paroled in 2010.To this day Tamihere has always maintained his innocence, that he never met the Swedish couple, and he certainly never murdered them.It was almost three years ago, in December of 2023 that I released the final official episode of Season three of GUILT - Finding Heidi. Kent Wetherell II, has agreed to move the case to the CIT. In the process of doing so, he also answered a key question that has national implications. As I was putting together this podcast episode,  I couldn't help but think about our lives that resemble mosaics in that we set out to create a plan or pattern that is predictable, or so we'd like to think, like a ceramic, glass or stone object, when in actuality, it can often be quite different. Sometimes our life plan is shattered, and it takes strength, energy, and determination to keep moving forward to put the pieces back together to form a new life plan; each time we experience this manifesting into a new life plan, we build our resilience and become perhaps more strategic or smarter in putting pieces together, and sometimes, the circumstances make it harder than we could ever have anticipated… such circumstances are poverty and homelessness.  Piece by Piece is an employment-related social enterprise designed to support individuals who have experienced homelessness or economic insecurity. Participants create mosaic art, as well as small-scale housewares and large commissioned pieces,  and by doing that, earn income and master soft skills while beautifying Los Angeles; one of their mantras is: Recycled Art for a New Cycle of Life. Pharrell Williams is—well, let me just say, he's a big reason why Song Exploder exists. He's a singer, songwriter and producer, and in the 90s, when I first heard the work that he was doing with the Neptunes, which was his production duo with Chad Hugo, it blew my mind. It made me want to know where those sounds came from and where those ideas came from. Pharrell has won 13 Grammys. He's been nominated for two Oscars. He's produced iconic songs for Kendrick Lamar, Britney Spears, Clipse, Gwen Stefani, and so many others. And on his own, he's made songs like “Happy,” the giant hit for Despicable Me that was the best-selling song of 2014. And now, there's a movie about his life called Piece by Piece. But it's an animated Lego film. For this episode, I talked to Pharrell about the title song from Piece By Piece. So, coming up, you'll hear how Pharrell built that song, including a first draft that never saw the light of day. MUSICMTV celebrated the 40th anniversary of its Video Music Awards with plenty of looks back at classic moments and a few glimpses of what we might be seeing in the future.Jon Bon Jovi had an interesting encounter while in Nashville Tuesday. While crossing the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge over the Cumberland River around 6 p.m. for a video shoot, he came upon a woman who appeared to be getting ready to jump. He reportedly spoke with her and convinced her otherwise. Jerry Cantrell hinted to 'Loudwire' about what's coming from Alice in Chains. He's focused on celebrating his new solo album, 'I Want Blood', for now but said, "There's a couple of things that we're working on, like non-album related. We're going to jump on a call [soon], we've got a few creative irons in the fire."  MOVING ON INTO MOVIE NEWS:Michael B.
