Alycia Parks v Anna-Lena Friedsam American looked impressive – first serve was firing and net-play was super clean which frustrated Friedsam who was visibly rattled towards the closing stages of the match. Parks has Ana Bogdan next who upset 15th seed Liudmila Samsonova.  Michael Mmoh v (11) Felix Auger-Aliassime Massive win for lucky loser Mmoh who played an incredible match against a hampered but solid FAA who actually hit more winners during the tight four-set contest. Mmoh plays German qualifier Maximilian Marterer next. Eugene did go to FAA's press conference where he spoke about his knee issue Laurent Lokoli v Casper Ruud Very entertaining match after a one-sided opening set, Lokoli fought his way back into it and took the second. Big congrats to qualifier Lokoli though who definitely won some new fans on Wimbledon debut. (7) Coco Gauff v Sofia Kenin Unexpected loss for the sixth seed (our pick for the women's title). Qualifier Kenin came in hot and played extremely well. Gauff's errors, on both wings, ultimately cost her and she alluded to that in her post-match press. Venus Wiliams vs Elina Svitolina Five-time champion hurt the same knee that caused her trouble in Birmingham against Camila Giorgi but pushed through. Ended up losing 4-6, 3-6, which was a respectable scoreline and she was in good spirits in press afterwards where Lucy asked her about her new coach Hugo Armando. Mikael Ymer v Alex Molcan We did not get to catch any of Ymer's first-round match as it was going on at the same time as Mmoh, Gauff and Venus, but stats-wise his performances on day one – 39 winners vs 16, 81% 1st serve points won, 95% net-points won. Could get ninth seed Fritz next. If you've always wanted to attend an APBA convention or tourney (or any board game event) but weren't sure about committing, this interview could change your mind. Two weeks before the annual APBA convention in Alpharetta, Georgia, three APBA Hall of Famers weighed in on the bonds built through board gaming. One — Pete Simonelli, APBA Hall of Fame 2005 — goes back to the first-ever APBA convention in Philadelphia from June 15-17, 1973. He and Hall of Famer John Cochrane (2009) crossed paths at the third APBA convention in 1976. Hall of Famer Dr. Rebecca Peterson joined the fold years later but quickly rose through the ranks as a vital member of the APBA community in many ways — from "pinch player" to a regular competitor at the annual tourney. Our conversation ranged from thoughts on starting regional tournaments to how to approach the annual convention as a first-timer — and much more. In this wide-ranging interview, you will learn about: • Robert Henry, Q&A columnist of the APBA Journal whose namesake regional APBA tournament outside Philadelphia has inspired a new generations of young players for 10 years and counting. • The early days and promising future of Ed Zack's APBA baseball handbook. • Tips for creating and sustaining a regional tournament. • The evolution of APBA's conventions from 1973 to the present. • The evolution of APBA baseball cards from the 1950 season to present. Kuidas Mart Peterson Rootsis nullist uue elu üles ehitas ja tütrest tippmängija kasvatas?

Suurel spordiriigil Rootsil on naiste tennise maailma edetabelis olnud mitmeid aastaid vaid üks mängija, 26-aastane Rebecca Peterson, kes tegelikult rahvuselt eestlanna. Head kuulamist!

Katie interviews Rebecca Peterson, a childbirth mentor who helps parents prepare for labor through birth preparation classes and prenatal yoga. Rebecca explains what it means to mindfully prepare for childbirth, how parents can explore their unique desires for the birth of their babies, and why it is important for parents to be solution-focused rather outcome-focused when it comes to childbirth (spoiler alert: your "birth plan" might go awry - and that's okay). In the interview, Katie and Rebecca also discuss birth shaming and how language plays a role in how parents view childbirth. In particular, they discuss the stigma surrounding Cesareans and medical pain relief (like epidurals), and how we can reframe the conversation to combat these taboos and support mothers - no matter what their childbirth journey looks like.

Documenting somebody else's life is one of the hardest challenges producers face in their work. Over an extended period of time relationships intensify, stories often change drastically, and the line between personal and too personal blurs easily. Two producers talk with the subjects of their work about the stories they've documented, the struggles they faced together throughout the process, and what they've learned from each other through the experience. Documenter and Documentee (part one) is moderated by Joe Richman, with producer Mary Beth Kirchner and Rebecca Peterson, the subject of Kirchner's A Year to Live, A Year to Die. Recorded at the 2007 Third Coast Conference. See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.
