Join us for a thrilling ride through the enchanting world of Disney World roller coasters with our special guest, Nolan, who teams up with Brittany to share their exciting experiences on seven of these magical attractions. Together with Ryan and me, who've braved all nine coasters, we embark on a lively discussion about the highs and lows of each ride. From the beginner-friendly Barnstormer to the intriguing debate over Rock 'n' Roller Coaster's Aerosmith theme, there's a lot to explore about what makes each attraction unique and memorable. As we wind our way through the magical tracks, we tackle the intricate balance between theming, storytelling, and ride mechanics. Our conversation takes a playful twist as we speculate on potential re-themes, like giving Rock 'n' Roller Coaster a Muppets makeover, and delve into the charm of rides like Slinky Dog Dash, which might benefit from a touch more backstory. Each coaster, from the classic Big Thunder Mountain Railroad to the nostalgic Space Mountain, is dissected with a touch of humor and an eye for the imaginative details that Disney does best.Brace yourself for the grand finale as we celebrate the groundbreaking thrills of Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind and the backward adventures of Expedition Everest. These top-tier roller coasters deliver an unforgettable experience, with Cosmic Rewind's cutting-edge mechanics and Expedition Everest's immersive theming setting a high bar. Despite the occasional dizzying effects, we all agree on the magic these rides bring, making us hopeful for even more future innovations from Disney Imagineering. Tune in to experience the joy, the laughs, and the dreams that these coasters inspire in all of us.Send us a textSupport the show

In this podcast, I will be sharing a comprehensive guide on navigating Hollywood Studios with the help of Genie+. Hollywood Studios has the least amount of rides of any Disney park, but it is packed with many exciting attractions, including several high-demand rides with height requirements. This can be a challenge for families with toddlers or young ones who don't meet those requirements. Therefore, intentionally planning your day is essential to make the most of your time at the park. One of the first things to remember is that even if a child meets the height requirement, they might need more time to be ready to experience some of the more intense rides, such as the Tower of Terror. Therefore, assessing if the ride is suitable for your child's age and temperament is crucial before using Genie+ to book your spot.Another thing to consider is that Hollywood Studios offers many shows and dining experiences that are worth experiencing. So, it's wise to have a balanced day and not just focus on the rides. Sometimes, the little things are what make Disney magical, and you want to take advantage of those moments. To maximize your day at Hollywood Studios, I recommend using Genie+ to book your ride times for high-demand attractions, such as the popular Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, Slinky Dog Dash, and Rock 'n' Roller Coaster. You can also use Genie+ to book ride times for the Toy Story Mania and Alien Swirling Saucers, which are family-friendly rides that everyone can enjoy. In conclusion, Hollywood Studios is a fun and exciting park to visit, but careful planning is required to make the most of your time there. By following the strategies I've mentioned, you can ensure that you have a memorable and enjoyable experience at the park. Support the showBlog Instagram YouTube Pinterest Amazon Shop LTK Shop

Hello and welcome to the Enchanted Ears Podcast, where we discuss anything and everything Disney. A few additional things came out of the Star Wars Celebration that give us the feels. A Gaya album will be dropping on May 4th. On the not-so-great news front, The Bad Batch will get a third and final season next year. We did Animal Kingdom and had so much fun, we decided to play Keep, Update, Replace: Hollywood Studios. We assess some of the most popular and, let's face it, unpopular rides in the park. And we even got your opinion on the matter using a poll on our Instagram @enchantedearspodcast. What should be done with Muppet Vision 3D, Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular, Slinky Dog Dash, Rise of the Resistance, Tower of Terror, Rock ‘n' Roller Coaster, Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway, Millennium Falcon Smuggler's Run, and the Frozen Sing Along Celebration? We think some pretty big changes need to occur to revive the tributes to movie magic while also teaching the next generation what amazing possibilities exist with a little spark…of inspiration. Some other big changes, in the form of locking restraints, might be needed if Frozen gets Angela's suggested update to keep Joe from charging the stage to meet a Disney (and cultural) icon. Season 2, Episode 22 - Nighttime things to do at Disney Nighttime things to do at Disney Hey everyone, I'm Mike, she's Sophie, and that's Brenda, and we're On the Road with Mickey! This is Season 2, Episode 22 for May 31, 2021, and our feature topic today is Nighttime things to do at Disney. Today we are taking a look at the things at Disney that we love to experience at night, whether it be attractions, different areas of the resort, or just about anything! So, grab a drink, relax, and join us as we talk about all the things that we came up with! Here's our rundown of what we talked about: Cheddar from the Big CheeseBrenda: Cape May Cafe at Disney's Beach Club Resort has reopened! It opened on May 18, and is serving breakfast from 7:30 - 11:30AM, and dinner from 5:00 - 9:00PM. Currently, there are no characters, but hopefully that will change soon. For now, at least the price has been modified to reflect the lack of characters -- it is now priced at $25 per adult, $14 per child (plus tax and gratuity) while it was previously priced at around $42 per adult, and $27 per child pre-pandemic.Sophie: May 20, 1996 -- over five years before I was born! -- Disney's Fantasia Gardens miniature golf course opened! This year marks the 25th anniversary of it opening!Mike: June 15, 2021: Disneyland opens up to Guests from outside of California!Connect with us! Hello! We’re back from Disney and anxious to talk about it! But first, we discuss the latest (week old) Disney news. (Sorry, ‘bout that. Too much excitement over the End Game ticket release last time!) A new trailer for The Lion King dropped and Joe learned his lesson not to bring it up no matter how incredible he thinks it is. Also, the 2019 Food and Wine Festival dates were released ensuring that August 29thwill be the most insane day in park history. In this episode, we go park-by-park reviewing the highlights of the FOOD and the rides and the FOOD, starting in Animal Kingdom. This being our first trip to Disney World since Pandora opened, we discuss all things Pandora. Two incredible fastpass grabs by Joe enabled us to ride Flight of Passage twice, which I’m thankful for. Definitely don’t ride this for the first time on a full stomach. The second ride, though, was a delight. We both appreciated the ride’s unique qualities that make it actually feel and look and smell like you’re on the back of a banshee. All we did in Hollywood Studios was visit Toy Story Land, which was vibrant and so much fun! Slinky Dog Dash and our (untalked about) interaction with Buzz Lightyear made the trip to this park well worth it. (Check the Instagram for the story about Buzz.) And then it was EPCOT…oh EPCOT…the place that all parents love and kids are like, “Hey, can we please go to Magic Kingdom now?” I never understood the love affair either until I developed a palette. I’d say that everything we ate there was the highlight of my trip: poutine, maple popcorn milkshake, Orange Bird Slushie, and the cauliflower dish at The Honey Bee-stro. Plus, we rode Frozen, a ride that will make you love the movie. In Magic Kingdom, we rode the staples, but talked a lot more about the rides that are easy to miss like The Peoplemover and Spaceship Earth. (Hot tip: These two rides are perfect to fall asleep on if you’re tired.) We thoroughly enjoyed the cute Donald Duck cartoon in Mickey’s Philharmagic. And again, after running so much during our trip, we enjoyed sitting down for 10 minutes or so. Finally, we end our trip discussion in Disney Springs. If you have the chance to do the Ralph Breaks VR at The Void before it’s gone, do it! It’s a riveting competition between you and the other characters that I wouldn’t promote nearly as much if I hadn’t beaten Joe. ;) We had a fabulous trip and are so happy to share it with you! Thanks so much for listening and making it all the way down here in the description. Don’t forget to check out our Facebook and Instagram accounts @enchantedearspodcast. Have a magical day! The Off-Season is here and that means the local parks are closed to most of us (except for you lucky ones in Florida and California!) To help combat the "Off-Season Blues," Mike and EB have some ideas that will tide you over until the parks open again in March. During our Quick Hits segment, the guys talk about several of this week's most interesting stories in the amusement industry, including:   What will be inside "Marvel Land" at Disney California Adventure? Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway railroad being built at Mickey’s Toontown at Disneyland West Coast Racers at Six Flags Magic Mountain has a Preview Center A bomb threat was called in to German theme park because the caller wanted to ruin friend’s day.    After some interesting Live Trip Reports, we open our Mailbag! We also find an interesting blueprint on Amazon.com! Then, we welcome Disney Imagineer Dave Minichiello to the show! Dave is an Executive Creative Designer with Imagineering and has worked with Disney for close to 40 years! He has been responsible for many of the attractions we have experienced at EPCOT, Disneyland Paris, Magic Kingdom and the Disney Cruise Line. Most recently, he has lead the creative direction for the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and the Little Mermaid Undersea Adventure. But this week, Dave joins us to talk about his most recent project...Toy Story Land at Disney's Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World. Dave will tell us about the storyline behind the new land and also all about "Slinky Dog Dash," the highly themed roller coaster that is the land's headlining attraction!

I had a fantastic chat with Amanda who vacationed to Walt Disney World in September with her husband and her brother. We discussed a lot of details, especially around the free dining promotion and the Disney Dining Plan. She also gave a great review of Saratoga Springs, so we talked a lot about that lesser-known resort, which I think is really helpful. We dove into Food and Wine Festival just a little bit and Amanda shares her FastPass+ strategies. Just wait until you hear the most FastPasses she has ever gotten in one day. Get ready. Is Disney World just for kids? So many people ask, can I go as an adult (without kids) or is that weird? A lot of people think that Disney World is just for kids and Amanda's brother was one of those people. He thought that Walt Disney World was just a place for kids and he wasn't going to enjoy it, but it really is just somewhere that you can go and relax and enjoy yourself. They've truly got something for everyone. It's fantastic. Resort Review: Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa Two-bedroom Villa, DVC (Disney Vacation Club) (I highly recommend Shipt or Amazon Prime Now for grocery delivery to the Disney World resorts.)  Disney Springs Trip Planning Details Park Hopper: Yes Memory Maker: Yes Make sure you ask for Magic Shots! Disney Dining Plan: Yes Dining reservations: Chef Art Smith's Homecomin' in Disney Springs. Yak and Yeti in Animal Kingdom. Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant in Hollywood Studios. Rose & Crown Dining Room in Epcot. Also, many Walt Disney World restaurants are available on Open Table.  If you can't get a reservation on My Disney Experience, check Open Table! FastPass+ Strategy: This was the first time Amanda has vacationed to Hollywood studios since Toy Story Land opened, so Slinky Dog Dash and Alien Swirling Saucers were first on her list. She was up 7:00 AM EST, 60 days out because she was staying on property. Favorite time of year in Walt Disney World: Food and Wine Festival time.  The Itinerary: 9/2 - 9/8 Day 1: Animal Kingdom & Epcot Breakfast at the hotel FastPasses for Kali River Rapids, UP! Guests will think they’ve been shrunk to the size of Woody and Buzz as they are surrounded by oversized toys that Andy has assembled using his vivid imagination. Using toys like building blocks, plastic buckets and shovels, and game board pieces, Andy has designed the perfect setting for this land.  This area has three main attractions, Toy Story Mania which already existed and two brand new attractions, Slinky Dog Dash and Spinning Alien Saucers. Listen as Ryan explains his experience and walks you through a personal tour of the land.  We will look at each attraction and even discuss the surroundings as well as the hidden easter eggs that are littered all throughout this land.  We will also discuss how this land celebrates imagination, creativity, and making but even more so how it celebrates the unlimited genius of the child and how play can let them explore that.  With that being said, we can definitely see how classroom teachers and staff can be inspired by playing like a toy!
