Question-asker Tess Mix, of neighboring Tunbridge, has been hearing this rumor her whole life. She wants to know, is it true? "If you went to law school to become a lawyer and say, I'm going to make all this money, I am sorry about your luck," explains Stephanie Clark on You Are A Lawyer. After leaving the firm, Stephanie joined another criminal defense firm focused solely on criminal defense cases. This change allowed her to specialize in this area of law, unlike her previous firm, where she handled various types of cases. She praises the UBE (Uniform Bar Examination) for its real-world scenarios and practical application."I'm not going to let this thing beat me," shares Stephanie Clark in Episode 106 of You Are A Lawyer. As a veterans' affairs attorney, Stephanie explains that she advocates for veterans and ensures they receive their entitled benefits. Stephanie Clarke is a most amazing woman. Her fiery red hair is a hint to her temperament as a speaker, facilitator, author, sacred ceremony hostess, Law of Attraction life coach, and a spiritual leader self-ordained as the Irreverent Reverend. As an Afrikaner wanting to help South Africa heal from its legacy of apartheid, Stephanie founded that country's first multiracial church. She bravely shares that journey in her first book —The Misadventures of an Irreverent Reverend, A Spirited Guide for Rebels and Renegades. Her follow-up — The Sex Goddess, debunking the Mythology of God and Sex, is an autobiographical review of a woman awakening to both her sexual and feminine power. The book brings healing to the divide between sexuality and spirituality, God and flesh, and between human and the divine. Her conversation brings an attitude adjustment to women everywhere.
The final products obtained from milk industrialization make up the identity of the dairy industry and are the image that is sold to our consumers. As such, developing products with high quality is key – now more than ever, particularly considering the development of plant-based alternatives and the emergence of diseases like milk allergy and lactose intolerance. To do that, we have to understand consumer demands and willingness. That is where this episode, with our guest Dr. Stephanie Clark, comes in: to stay up to date with the topic, we discuss the differences between lactose intolerance and milk allergy, the expiration dates of products, the flavors present in products, the effects of packaging types and labeling on consumers, new plant-based milk alternatives, and ways to educate new consumers and give them incentive to buy more dairy products.“I think we are potentially leading to a lactose-intolerant generation.'' - Dr. Stephanie ClarkWhat you'll learn:Highlight (00:00)Introduction (01:57)Lactose intolerance and milk allergy (04:34)Sell by date on dairy products (09:55)Milk flavors (14:20)Consumers' packaging preferences (18:15)Labeling effects on dairy consumption (27:15)Plant-based alternatives for milk (31:21)Educational messages for increasing consumption (34:17)Milk information sources for consumers (40:47)The final questions (42:48)Meet the guest: Dr. Stephanie ClarkExperience:Current: Professor at Iowa State UniversityPast: Associate Professor at Iowa State University; Associate Professor at Washington State UniversityBackground:Ph.D., Food Science (Cornell University)Connect with the guest on Social Media: LinkedIn
On March 5, 2020 Stephanie Clark, mother of a 5-year-old, found herself once again subject to violent domestic abuse by her live-in boyfriend. After inflicting serious physical and mental abuse for some time, the boyfriend threatened to break Clark's ribs after she had fallen asleep.Clark retrieved a gun, shot the boyfriend once, then retrieved a second gun and shot him again. He would die of his injuries. The next day, March 6, Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison charged Clark with second-degree murder. Clark raised the legal defense of self-defense.At trial, the jury interrupted deliberations to ask the judge for clarification on what was meant by the legal term "imminent," a required element of self-defense. The judge responded that "imminent" meant "immediate." The jury then convicted Clark as charged. This past Monday a MN court of appeals reversed Clark's conviction, holding that "immediate" was too narrow a definition of "imminent." Minnesotta v. Amirah's Executive Director, Stephaine Clark speaks with Francesca about how this dark industry is far more widespread then you might believe and what you can do to help put a stop to it.
Exploring the missing and the misogynized with a "recovering non-denominational, metaphysical, reverend who likes to walk a little on the wild side of God." From working to heal the wounds of apartheid in South Africa to reawakening the divine feminine across the globe alongside New Thought leaders such as Dr. Michael Bernard Beckwith and Lisa Nichols of The Secret phenomenon, Rev. Stephanie Clark is breaking stigmas and barriers of all kinds in spirituality. In this podversation: Stephanie's unique invocation Stephanie's early search for her place in this world Is there a place for feminist porn? "To simply rebel against the status quo is a position of powerlessness. Victims are never victors." - Pushing against energy is still giving energy to something. How Stephanie came to live in South Africa, working against apartheid, first by teaching English to empower the impoverished Getting vehement in our asking of the Divine Stephanie's calling to study the Science of Mind and later at the Agape Center with Michael Bernard Beckwith The beginning of the metaphysical movement in black South Africa The missing & the misogynized - Where are the strong feminine archetypes in religious movements, especially Christianity? The twisting of the Adam & Eve story Defining the many facets of feminism in spirituality Additional Resources: "The Female Eunuch" by Germaine Greer Stephanie's book: "The Miss-Adventures of an Irreverent Reverend: A Spirit-ed Guide for Rebels and Renegades" Meet Rev. Stephanie Clark: Born in London, England, Stephanie visited her mother in South Africa in 1986 where she had a vision of creating a multi-racial ministry to heal the wounds of Apartheid. She completed her ministerial studies at Agape in Los Angeles. Her teacher was Rev. Dr. Michael Beckwith of “The Secret” fame. In 2000 Rev. Steph founded the metaphysical ministry, Soul Home, in Johannesburg, South Africa and led it successfully until 2005 when she handed it over to her 3 top students. After 10 years away in Europe and Japan, Rev. Steph returned to South Africa in 2015 to take care of her elderly parents. Rev. Steph still speaks at Soul Home once or twice per month but she has branched out as a speaker, author and life-coach, desiring to carry the message of spiritual truth and personal upliftment beyond the walls of church. “God & Sex” was the provocative title of Rev. Steph’s talk at the New Thought conference in Johannesburg in August 2017 - “Birthing the Divine Feminine – from History to HerStory” - with keynote speakers Rev. Dr. Michael Beckwith, and Lisa Nichols – also of “The Secret” fame. Rev. Steph has written 2 books: “Down Dirty and Divine: a spiritual ride through London’s underground” and her autobiography. She is currently writing her 3rd book on “God & Sex” with the working title “The Irreverent Reverend rides again.” Her 4th book on the cult of Isis in Roman Europe is also "in utero." In addition to speaking and writing and de-mythologizing sex and sin, Rev. Steph also facilitates non-denominational sacred ceremonies and spiritual journeys to sacred sites such as the Egyptian pyramids. She is a psychic medium and a reader of the Akashic Records.
