On this episode of the JT Sports Podcast, JT breaks down the massive changing of the guard in the NFL and why true league-wide parity has finally arrived with Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs missing the playoffs. JT explains how this NFL reset has opened the Super Bowl race to more contenders than ever, why this level of parity can sustain itself, and what it means for the next decade of the league. JT also dives into the long-awaited rise of Trevor Lawrence, why this version of Trevor Lawrence changes the Jaguars' ceiling, and how Trevor Lawrence has officially turned Jacksonville into a real destination franchise. JT calls out the Ravens' baffling misuse of Derrick Henry, explains why Brian Flores was right about Tua Tagovailoa, and why Miami is now paying for it. JT closes by defending the Raiders' decision to draft Ashton Genty, breaking down why elite running backs still matter and how Ashton Genty proved that drafting a back in the top 10 can absolutely be worth it.
Bobby Bones and Matt Cassel are getting ready for the holiday season and Matt recalls some of the gifts he gave to his offensive lineman. What are some of the best (or less than best) QB gifts given? While suits are regular gifts, Bobby reveals how he's bought some of his most expensive suits. NFL Red Zone's Scott Hanson drops by and explains how he broke into the business and met Matt a long time ago. At the same time, Scott relives a laughably regrettable experience with Mike Vrabel. Matt talks about his audition to host Red Zone and who he believes is one of the nicest people he's ever met in the NFL. Plus, is there a bucket list event that Scott would like to cover? Bobby wraps up with the best three games coming in Week 17. Have a Happy Holiday! We draft the NFL playoff teams in order of who's most likely to win the Super Bowl - putting our money where our mouths are heading into the stretch run. Then in Bolds & Scolds, we praise Drake Maye for leading an incredible comeback win and give credit to the Panthers for taking control of the NFC South. On the scolding side, we rip John Harbaugh for being allergic to the run game and react to another Lions disappointment.
En Semana 17 podrían definirse prácticamente todos los equipos de Playoffs. Repasamos cada uno de ellos previo a este fin de semana de NFL.
The College Football Playoffs have officially arrived… and let's just say they half-delivered entertainment and half-delivered disappointment — which was right on point. After the first round, Josh officially plants his flag and declares that Group of 5 teams simply do NOT belong in the CFP (sorry, little guys). Miami vs. Texas A&M was an absolute rock fight that only sickos could love — although, if you were rooting for both teams to lose, that scoreless first half was chef's kiss. Alabama vs. Oklahoma, however, kicked things off the right way and reminded everyone what playoff football is supposed to look like. With the warm-up round in the books, the boys dive headfirst into the next slate of College Football Playoff games, breaking down matchups, giving head-to-head picks, and sprinkling in a certified JMO Special. Buckle up — the real games are here, and now that the Group of 5 bedtime stories are over, things are about to get serious. Then comes the part you probably didn't see coming…Objectively speaking (which means you can't quote us on this), the New Orleans Saints are the best team in the NFC South — and honestly, one of the hottest teams in the NFC right now. Yes, we said it. THE NEW ORLEANS SAINTS. Tyler Shough has the boys officially SHOOK (pun very much intended), and suddenly the Saints are back on the high horse, staring down the Super Bowl path once again. Are they one step away? Maybe one big step. But optimism is officially back in the building. The NFL slate delivered absolute madness this week — mind blowing multi two-point conversion game, a successful onside kick comeback, and even some punches thrown (no, not Jake Paul; DK Metcalf, we're looking directly at you). Between the playoff implications, wild finishes, and bold takes, this episode has everything.0:00 intro/cfb playoff recap23:00 cfb playoff picks35:55 NFL Recap1:10:55 NFL Picks

The NFL Playoff Picture is coming into full view but teams really muddy-ed the waters with the results of week 16 across the NFL. The Jacksonville Jaguars dropped their statement win of the season on the Denver Broncos and now about 5 different teams can win the AFC's #1 seed. Trevor Lawrence and Co showed they are a legit Super Bowl contending team. The New England Patriots rallied behind Drake Maye and knocked off the Baltimore Ravens to stay a game ahead of the Bills in the AFC East. The Pittsburgh Steelers held on to win a whacky game in Detroit, earning our Hemingway moniker but today DK Metcalf found out that he will be suspended for the final two games of the 2025 NFL season. The Chargers, Texans and Bills all won over teams already eliminated so they could keep pace in the playoff race. And in the NFC, the Eagles took care of the Commanders on Saturday afternoon to feel better about their chances in the playoffs. The Bears had a miraculous comeback against the Packers to further solidify their claim to the NFC North throne. And the fellas breakdown the wild NFC South, a division that both teams, the Panthers and Buccaneers, both seemingly don't want to win. The Packers dominated the Bears for nearly four quarters, then watched it all unravel in the most gut-wrenching fashion possible. Tonight, fans call in for what can only be described as Packers therapy, processing the pain of a loss that never should have happened. Callers break down the offensive red zone struggles that plagued the team all game, Josh Jacobs' costly fumble that shifted momentum, and Romeo Doubs' failed onside kick recovery that sealed the defeat. The conversation turns philosophical as fans draw striking parallels to the 2010 Super Bowl season, reminding us that things looked equally bleak before that championship run. With Jordan Love's injury status uncertain and questions swirling about whether Malik Willis can lead the team to a playoff berth, one thing remains clear: the Packers were the better team, and Bears fans know it. Despite the devastating finish, this squad refuses to quit, and neither should we. One win clinches a playoff spot, and stranger things have happened in Green Bay.
