Contact Welcomed HereThinking that thought will get us there is to think we are not here. If we are here there is no then or there to get nor is there any more or less of this, or that, to have. To not have what we have is to think we have to have something else, somewhere else that is "not there" while it is thought that is lacking. Feeling like we have no place, belonging nowhere, is a common effect of obsessive thinking. Thoughtlessness is the source of addiction since more or less will never be enough and when enough is never enough there is no hope. Hopelessness in this case is an accurate assessment of an impossible condition. Yet to consider that we are hopeless is to presume wrongly that we are only what we think we are - and so think feeling better or getting over our feelings is the model for escape into compulsive activities that never works since what is denied only gets worse. As long as we think we have nothing to do with the idea thinking there is nothing we can do about it naturally follows to justify continuing to do what seems to be the only thing possible. To think we have nothing to do with something is to imagine it possible we could have nothing to do with everything. This is a suicidal thought since it would only be possible if we did not exist. There is no justification or rationalization in Truth as Reality. This deception underlies all compulsive behaviors and leads to suicide in obvious or slowly less dramatic compulsive ways. Induced insanity manifests anxiety, pressure, and stress that undermines all of our bodily ability to maintain stability. When insane thoughts are used to develop rational ideas it is just another irrational perpetuation of the same induced insanity. Our greater sense and body know there is an emergency and increasing the threat level is never an effective solution. We Know We Know. We Are Aware We Are Aware. We Are as We Are. Reality is unlimited and never changes. The idea that how and what we think creates reality suggests otherwise. Acting on backward thoughts leads to behaviors that are out of order. Anxious and systemic disorders reflect this impossible attempt to reverse the Laws of the universe that govern nature's order. Disease is the lack of ease created and maintained by such twisted mental acrobatics. Principles affirm our indivisible nature. Sharing principles affirms and confirms our indivisibility. We can choose desperation or Inspiration. Absolute Intelligence is our Knowing nature. Ignoring what is happening produces unintelligible ignorance - not reality.contact@mentalobsession.com
In this episode, Olawunmi Brigue continues the character series exploring the nine fruits of the Spirit as outlined in Galatians 5:22, focusing on kindness versus thoughtlessness. The episode discusses how kindness is a fruit of the Spirit that requires us to be considerate and thoughtful, as opposed to simply avoiding wicked actions. The episode also delves into the transformative power of kindness in everyday life, using biblical examples like David, Rebecca, Ruth, and Rahab to illustrate the supernatural rewards and societal impacts of kindness, emphasising how kindness attracts favour from both people and God. 00:07 Exploring the Fruits of the Spirit 01:25 Understanding Kindness 01:33 Kindness vs. Thoughtlessness 02:26 Definitions of Kindness and Thoughtlessness 03:21 Examples of Kindness 06:19 Kindness in Relationships 12:57 The Rewards of Kindness 15:35 The Importance of Kindness in Relationships 16:03 The Supernatural Rewards of Kindness 18:50 Biblical Examples of Kindness 18:59 David's Act of Kindness and Its Reward 23:03 Rebecca's Kindness and Her Destiny 25:11 Ruth's Loyalty and Kindness 26:30 Rahab's Kindness and Preservation 27:16 Paul's Shipwreck and the Islanders' Kindness 29:14 The Power of Simple Acts of Kindness Olawunmi Brigue, host of the SuperAbundant Life podcast, is a certified executive and transformational life coach, and the founder of Luminous membership, a Personal & Spiritual Growth Hub for women who desire to build BOTH a highflying career and a wholesome family without sacrificing their wellbeing or personal fulfilment. 5.10 Mood Disorders (Depression and Bipolar) Psychiatry Review for the USMLE Step 1 exam Mood disorders are persistent disruptions in emotion, categorized into bipolar disorders and depressive disorders. Bipolar disorders are characterized by manic or hypomanic episodes, while depressive disorders feature periods of depression. Major Depressive Disorder (MDD) is characterized by feelings of sadness, guilt, worthlessness, and anhedonia lasting for at least two weeks. SIG E CAPS is an acronym used to remember the symptoms of depression: Sleep changes, Interest loss, Guilt, Energy loss, Concentration difficulties, Appetite changes, Psychomotor retardation, and Suicidal ideation. In MDD, at least 5 of the SIG E CAPS symptoms must persist for more than 2 weeks. Persistent Depressive Disorder (dysthymia) is a chronic, low-grade form of MDD that lasts for at least two years. Mania is a symptom common to all bipolar disorders, characterized by elevated or irritable mood and increased activity or energy. Mania lasting for at least 1 week is called a manic episode, while hypomania is a less severe form lasting longer than 4 days. The symptoms of mania can be remembered using the mnemonic DIG FAST: Distractibility, Irritable mood/insomnia, Grandiosity, Flight of ideas, Agitation/increased activity, Speedy thoughts/speech, and Thoughtlessness. Bipolar I involves manic episodes, and bipolar II involves hypomanic episodes and major depressive episodes. Bipolar I requires at least one manic episode, while bipolar II requires depressive episodes. Mood stabilizers such as lithium, valproate, carbamazepine, and lamotrigine are used to treat bipolar disorders. Litium is the best (notable exeptions however). Antidepressants are contraindicated for bipolar patients due to the risk of flipping into mania. The risk of suicide is high in bipolar patients, with 25-50% attempting suicide and 10-15% dying by suicide. Cyclothymia is a less common form of bipolar disorder characterized by cycling between hypomania and mild depression over many years.
Nothing so easily makes or breaks a young pastor as his conduct with women. Thoughtlessness or indiscretion, as well as outright immorality, violate his calling to lead the flock to purity. Younger women must be confronted with their sin and encouraged to godliness. They must, however, never be led into sin, but be treated as beloved spiritual sisters whose purity is the highest consideration.

I'm not one to tell people how to vote, especially in a democracy. But in a democracy, there are lots of complications and considerations that should be made since an informed democracy is a healthy democracy. It's also not just about our personal values and morals, but our societal values and morals.

REFLECTION QUOTES “I'm not a victim. I refuse to be one.” ~Toni Morrison (1931-2019), novelist and professor “No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.” ~1 Corinthians 10:13 (ESV) “Only those who try to resist temptation know how strong it is. A man who gives in to temptation after five minutes simply does not know what it would have been like an hour later. That is why bad people, in one sense, know very little about badness — they have lived a sheltered life by always giving in. We never find out the strength of the evil impulse inside us until we try to fight it: and Christ, because He was the only man who never yielded to temptation, is also the only man who knows to the full what temptation means — the only complete realist.” ~C.S. Lewis (1898-1963) in Mere Christianity “The beginning of wisdom is this: Get wisdom, and whatever you get, get insight. Prize her highly, and she will exalt you; she will honor you if you embrace her. She will place on your head a graceful garland; she will bestow on you a beautiful crown.” ~Proverbs 4:7-9 (ESV) “For [Hannah] Arendt, it was not that [Adolf] Eichmann did not know what he was doing. It was that he did not think about what he was doing. The thoughtlessness that allows evil to flourish cannot be dispelled with new facts or better information, and the society that has forgotten how to think needs to do more than inform its citizens. Instead, like stretching unused muscles, it must relearn the daily habits of thinking.” ~Hannah LaGrand in “Thoughtlessness, Sloth, and the Call to Think” (Comment) “Having looked the past in the eye, having asked for forgiveness and having made amends, let us shut the door on the past—not in order to forget it but in order not to allow it to imprison us.” ~Desmond Tutu, South African Anglican Archbishop Emeritus and theologian SERMON PASSAGE James 1:2-18 (ESV) 2 Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, 3 for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. 4 And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing. 5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him. 6 But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind. 7 For that person must not suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; 8 he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways. 9 Let the lowly brother boast in his exaltation, 10 and the rich in his humiliation, because like a flower of the grass he will pass away. 11 For the sun rises with its scorching heat and withers the grass; its flower falls, and its beauty perishes. So also will the rich man fade away in the midst of his pursuits. 12 Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him.3 Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am being tempted by God,” for God cannot be tempted with evil, and he himself tempts no one. 14 But each person is tempted when he is lured and enticed by his own desire. 15 Then desire when it has conceived gives birth to sin, and sin when it is fully grown brings forth death. 16 Do not be deceived, my beloved brothers. 17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change. 18 Of his own will he brought us forth by the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.

In this installment of Ryle’s Thoughts for Young Men, he continues on with “Special Dangers to Young Men”. Thoughtlessness and inconsideration are in view today. He opens by saying, “Want of thought is one simple reason why thousands of souls are cast away for ever.” We see this in our day where people busy themselves with the present and think little of their future. We become so self-consumed and inward focused that we don’t take time to think carefully about our souls.Ryle says young men are especially at risk because they are not concerned with the dangers around them. He says, “Believe me, this world is not a world in which we can do well without thinking, and least of all do well in the matter of our souls.”We could all benefit from Ryle’s pleading for thoughtfulness. We could all benefit from Ryle’s pleading for consideration of what we’re doing and where we’re going. We should make time for reflection and we should learn to be still, if only for a few moments. The Banner of Truth TrustIntro created and performed by Isaac Johnson

To take advantage of this special deal, go to LivingHour.org/ten. Thank you. Today’s reading was edited and adapted from the Mastery of Destiny by James Allen, published in 1909. THOROUGHNESS consists in doing little things as though they were the greatest things in the world. That the little things of life are of primary importance, is a truth not generally understood. And the thought that little things can be neglected and thrown aside is at the root of that lack of thoroughness which is so common and results in imperfect work and unhappy lives. When you understand that the great things of the world, and of life, consist of a combination of small things, and that without this aggregation of small things the great things would be nonexistent, then you begin to pay careful attention to those things which you formerly regarded as insignificant. You thus acquire the quality of thoroughness, and become a person of usefulness and influence — for the possession or non-possession of this one quality may mean all the difference between a life of peace and power, and one of misery and weakness. Every employer knows how comparatively rare this quality is — how difficult it is to find people who will put thought and energy into their work, and do it completely and satisfactorily. Bad workmanship abounds. Skill and excellence are acquired by few. Thoughtlessness, carelessness, and laziness are such common vices that it shouldn’t appear strange that, in spite of "social reform," the ranks of the unemployed continue to swell — for those who skirt their work today will, another day (in an hour of deep necessity) look and ask for work in vain.
Many times we do things without thinking. Today I want to talk about how many of those thoughtless actions create a level of uneasiness in who we are.
You’re probably still waiting for that return text, that return gift and that return invite to that party. As we get older, we become more of whatever we were before. Obnoxious jerks become more unbearable. The rest of us? Dr. McCoy talks about the fact that most of us bring many qualities, positive and negative, to our later years. She discusses the desirability to tame the jerk in each one of us by becoming aware of and making an effort to change the habits and quirks that may be annoying to others and to build on our kindness and compassion. She encourages listeners to come up with a list of small but positive changes that will be doable, just for today.
Throughout my lifetime I have had the phrase "you are so thoughtless" used against me as a weapon. We as a society use "thoughtlessness" as a curse word, and in my case many times as a way to keep me down. In this episode you will hear my thoughts and experiences on being thoughtless and how it will improve your relationships, free your life, and take you to new heights in your career. Come find out why thoughtlessness can be a good thing. I tell stories so to be blatantly honest if you want to know the answer to the question then hit play. Here you will get metal attitude, high energy humor, and unbridled honesty. My life is about making awesome stories and sometimes they are shared through NSFW language.
