Everyone's favourite Mum and son duo, West Bromwich Albion correspondent's Gemma and Harrison Eno, join James for a catch up on what's been happening at The Hawthorns over the last 18 months and discuss the current race for promotion from The Championship. The Baggies are currently 5th and though automatic promotion looks out of reach they are performing well under the much liked Carlos Corberan and are highly likely to compete for promotion in the Play-Offs. But is hasn't always looked so positive for the club in recent times. There's reflection on the tenure's of Valerien Ismael and Steve Bruce and discussion on the concerning ownership problems under Guochuan Lai, but again there's positivity following the purchase of the club by Shilen Patel. The quality of the squad is assessed, would it be Premier League ready considering its recent financial concerns and there's chat on the frontrunners for automatic promotion. Plus, there's chat on the unsavoury scenes seen at The Hawthorns in January, when the FA Cup tie with Wolves was suspended for 30 minutes due to crowd disturbances. Following the 1 – 0 home defeat by Blackburn Rovers and the 1 – 1 draw with Durham in the Championship following last seasons promotion. We hear from Alan who is positive about things despite a sense that the manager will inevitably moved on and therefore refuses to get emotionally attached to him, Brett asks why Louza might not have been disciplined in a another way rather than dropping him from the starting eleven (following 2 late arrivals for training) but also wants to know what clothes he should wear at the next game as he seems convinced his clothing is cursed!Uncle Ron joins to the strains of Chas and Dave and tells us this week why there is no pleasing him – unimpressed with Valball and comparing the squad for that in the early 1990's (with an honourable exception of Matheus Martins). Unimpressed with Mileta Rajovic's first 30 minutes or so in a Watford shirt – he is in favour of him having some assistance and playing two upfront.Wendover joined and his usual positivity was balanced with a frustration that we say we have played ok but again failed to take anything from the game and is looking (as ever) to the end of the transfer window and hoping for improvements and re-enforcements.Alex thinks things will work out we need to be patient pointing out that the performance and identity are better this season even if the results are less so (in the same period as last season), Paul joins us to implore the Watford supporters to get behind during the game no matter what their position on all things political at the club, Jack feels that Louza (dropped from the starting line up) should have been dropped all together before Pete bangs on about Kone's hair band, Mike joins to pour over proceedings Pete gets him to inhabit Valerien Ismael for three minutes and tell us what he would have done at half time (believe it or not we didn't even make an innuendo about this!!!)COYH!This Podcast has been created and uploaded by Do Not Scratch Your Eyes. We look back on Chris Wilder's short tenure without very much to admire on the pitch but appreciate the managers candour and honesty in terms of the lack of cohesion which was a theme throughout the season. Andrew describes some conversations with the former Sheff United Manager about his thoughts on the games, the team and the club and of course the reaction post Luton on April fools day.We talk about the convoluted Ben Manga interview (which involved much interpretation!) and the move away from "agent based" recruitment to a model based on actually scouting players! (D'ya think!?!) Manga's response to the name of a certain agent seems emphatic but we here that he is still about the place. Andrew explains his concern at the initial comments made by Valerien Ismael and looks forward to probing the former Barnsley manager moving forward. Eyes will be on the transfer activity and Andrew gives his view as to how much activity we might see.Penultimately we make Andrew play the "One Word Squad comment" game before discussing the Watford Observer, subscriptions and of course what would an "Ollie Phillips" and "Andrew French" set menu's contain in an Indian restaurant!Andrew is always great fun so do support the Wobbly Obs if you possibly can!! DID somebody mention a European Super League? YP football writers Stuart Rayner and Leon Wobschall join host Phil Harrison to discuss – among other things – the decision by 12 of Europe’s so-called biggest clubs to create a closed-shop, European Super League. Those at the very top of the footballing tree - including six from the Premier League - found a way of scoring quite possibly the most spectacular own goal ever seen in the game. Sunday was when news first started to come out about the plans but, by Tuesday night, following a barrage af criticism and anger from fans, administrators and politicians, those plans were left in tatters, with the majority of clubs having now withdrawn and left scrambling for cover. We’ll also look at the rise of Barnsley who, under Valerien Ismael, have put themselves in a prime position to reach the Championship play-offs as well as casting an eye towards Bramall Lane to look at the decisions which now have to be made by Sheffield United in light of the weekend confirmation of their relegation from the Premier League.
