Limp Wick John Wick may be dead…but the franchise is very much alive. With spin-off films like Ballerina, Caine, and an anime Wick prequel on the way and John Wick 5 already in the works, the high-octane universe of assassins, coins, and Continental rules isn't slowing down anytime soon. But before we return to the big screen, we're flashing back to the 1970s for the Peacock mini-series The Continental: From the World of John Wick. Can a TV budget capture the brutal elegance and balletic gun-fu that made the films iconic? And do fans really want the origin story of Winston Scott — played here by Colin Woodell, stepping into Ian McShane's stylish shoes? Justin, Jason, and Arnie check in for a full review, exploring every bullet, betrayal, and bourbon-soaked twist. Grab your gold coins and hit play — this is one check-in you don't want to miss!
Winston Scott grew up in Miami and attended Florida State University to study music. While at FSU he started getting into engineering and at one point the word astronaut flashed briefly through his mind. So, after graduating in 1972, he entered Naval Aviation Officer Candidate School and two years later became a Naval Aviator and served as a production test pilot flying the F/A-18 Hornet at A-7 Corsair. Mr. Scott was then selected by NASA to become an astronaut and reported to the Johnson Space Center in 1992. These days he's Director of Operational Excellence at the Kennedy Space Center Visitor's Complex and in that role was touring last week so we brough him by the studio to talk about being an astronaut, and what goes on at the KSC Visitor's Complex.
Part I - "Stone/DiEugenio Interview by Katie Halper". View here. "The Nothingburgers? Nope". Read Here. Jim's latest book "The JFK Assassination Chokeholds: That Prove There Was A Conspiracy" - Find here. National Archives - JFK Files - Read here. Jim recommends "The Man Who Knew Too Much" by Dick Russell. Purchase Book Here Despite new information about Oswald in the recently released JFK files, mainstream media says "nothing new". In the files there is more info about Oswald's 201 file, Mexico City, Helsinki, Castro etc.. When Oswald was released from the Marines it was from a "hardship discharge", using Marguerite's injuries as an excuse. Typically it takes a few months for the marines to investigate hardship claims but Lee's was approved with in just 11 days. When Lee left the Marines, it was 9 months earlier than when he was scheduled to be released. Rosaleen Quinn who dated Oswald while he was in California recalled Lee was more fluent in Russian than she was. After being discharged, Oswald was only in the Dallas/Fort Worth area for 72 hours before heading to New Orleans. Oswald leaves from New Orleans to France, using the same travel agency as the International Trade Mart. Coincidence? Why was Oswald going to Helsinki important? Was it because Helsinki processed visas within 48 hours? After travelling on a freighter to Europe, Oswald goes to Helsinki & stayed at the Hotel Torni. How did Oswald afford this? Oswald participated in a planned, fake defection program. Without government assistance, how would he afford a 4 star hotel? The Warren Commission avoided going into the intricate details of Oswald's movements and activity in Helsinki. WC investigator David Slawson was definitely curious about Oswald's trip to Helsinki. The CIA and FBI were the main sources of information for the Warren Commission. In 1963-1964, early investigators such as Mark Lane & Joachim Joesten who suspected CIA and government involvement. CIA 1971 memo - appears to have been debate in the CIA whether Kostikov was ever involved in Dept 13. Have you read the Lopez Report? Read here. If Oswald was in Mexico City, why isn't there any photographs or video of Oswald going into the different embassies? Why has the CIA never been able to produce a tape of Oswald's voice? On the Nov 22nd the CIA sent a tape of what they said was Oswald's voice to the FBI interrogating Oswald in Dallas. David Atlee Phillips put out a cover story - all of the Oswald tapes had been destroyed. The Lopez report contradicts this. Dan Hardway and Edwin Lopez wrote up bills of indictment for both Phillips and Anne Goodpasture Anne Goodpasture was Winston Scott's exec assistant. Pulse camera outside of the Cuban Embassy, activated by the door of the Cuban consulate opening & closing. Such a sensitive camera, yet no photos of Oswald? David Phillips claimed the camera was "out that day". The CIA did not want this information included in the volumes of the HSCA investigation. Was the whole Mexico City event a charade? Was the story about Kostikov the capper on the charade with Oswald? Was Oswald working with Kostikov and at the direction of the KGB? The KGB may have hired Richard Case Nagell to find out who was behind the pending plot to kill JFK. Jim recommends watching the 2014 AARC interview with Dan Hardway & Edwin 'Eddie' Lopez. Watch here. Hardway and Lopez worked out of CIA headquarters reviewing files and information until Joannides complicated matters. After Joannides got involved in hampering the investigation, files would be slow and redacted. The HSCA was shut down at the end of 1978 and decreased to a skeleton crew prior to publishing. What wasn't released in the HSCA volumes, was to be classified until 2029. Oliver Stone's "JFK" changed all of that. GUEST 1 OVERVIEW: Jefferson Morley is a Washington author and veteran journalist whose novelistic non-fiction books explore untold chapters in the history of the American nation. A skilled investigative reporter, Morley combines granular detail with storytelling verve to capture unknown realities of subjects as disparate as the Central Intelligence Agency and America's legacy of racial violence. Morley's newest book, Scorpions Dance: The President, The Spymaster and Watergate, excavates the untold backstory of Watergate: How the subterranean relationship of two master Machiavellians–CIA director Richard Helms and President Richard Nixon–culminated in America' greatest political scandal. Morley's 2017 book, The Ghost: The Secret Life of CIA Spymaster James Jesus Angleton, tells the story of a paranoid genius who was perhaps the most powerful unelected official in the U.S. government. At the height of the Cold War, Angleton's secret influence extended from Moscow to London to Jerusalem to the Vatican, to the White House. If there is a “Deep State” in American life as some contend, Angleton was one of its Founding Fathers. Morley's trilogy of spies starts with Our Man in Mexico: Winston Scott and the Hidden History of the CIA. his 2008 biography of an improbable American spy. Winston Scott was an Alabama math teacher turned FBI agent who joined the CIA at its founding, became close friends with Angleton and became the chief of the agency's Mexico City station in the 1960s. “Every decade or so a talented writer provides a genuinely new glimpse of the Central Intelligence Agency,” said historian Thomas Powers of the book. Morley's second book, Snow-Storm in August, was described by best-selling author David Mariniss as “History so fresh it feels alive.” A vivid account of a white riot that swept the nation's capital 25 years before the Civil War, Snow-Storm's “plunge beneath the surface of history exposes realities more true to daily experience than executive proclamations or speeches in Congress,” said the Washington Post. The Minneapolis Star Tribune called it “elegant and readable.” Morley is one of the world's leading authorities on the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. He is editor of the blog, JFK Facts blog on Substack. GUEST 2 OVERVIEW: Trevor Scott FitzGibbon is president of Silent Partner and an award-winning PR strategist with more than 20 years of experience. His work has primarily focused on defending human rights, whistleblowers, and exposing corruption throughout his career. His clients have ranged from Google Foundation and Amnesty International to WikiLeaks, Julian Assange Legal Defense, Pearl Jam, the governments of Venezuela and Ecuador, and its legal fight against Chevron for its destruction of the Ecuadoran rainforest.
Former NASA astronaut Winston Scott shared his academic journey that brought him to space and his hope for the future of space exploration.

This week Andrew and Ted discuss, SPOILER FREE, Peacock TV's original "The Continental". "The Continental" is a prequel to the enormously popular John Wick movie franchise. With only one of the three part series having aired it seems to be series that establishes Winston Scott's rise to control of the New York City gangster hangout The Continental. So tune in to listen to Andrew and Ted's first thoughts about the series.
