Welcome to the 3rd of our 5 episode series dedicated to helping you build your list. List building is crucial for a whole host of reasons. But for me, #1 is the fact that it's your big mailing list that gives you options: Options to: Scale when you feel like it Or run a flash sale for a quick cash infusion Or host retreats It also makes lead magnet swaps easier and it just makes you feel like you're doing this coaching thing. I've hand picked some of my favorite episodes dedicated to list building and lead magnets to help make your list building life easier. My guest today is Aissa Thalia. She came into the episode knowing that she needs to update her lead magnet to match her target audience. Aissa is a happiness expert who helps actors that haven't booked work in a while feel great, happy and confident regardless of their booking status. And she didn't want just any lead magnet. She wanted something that stands out and feels like, what I call, experiential marketing. That's the kind of marketing that gives folks a true and accurate taste of what it's like to work with you. So, some sort of pdf download wasn't going to cut it. After some brainstorming and troubleshooting, Aissa and I came up with a fantastic lead magnet idea that checks all the boxes ✅ It has a clear promise✅ It's easy to implement✅It's unique to Aissa✅And… it relies on experiential marketing I'm not going to tell you what it is… you'll have to listen in to find out. Before you dive in, be sure to have a notebook handy because you'll want to take yourself through the same process Aissa and I follow so you can check all the boxes on your lead magnet too. Timestamps & Key Topics[03:21] Using Niche marketing to enhance audience engagement[07:21] Aissa's goal for a lead magnet[08:30] Defining the offer and the promise[11:50] Core beliefs Aissa's clients need to adopt for successful coaching[18:20] Using affirmations and guided meditations[21:40] Exploring strategies to help actors detach from others' opinions[27:22] Using a seven-day meditation ritual for the lead magnet[29:45] Brainstorming ideas for the lead magnet's components and delivery[38:53] A title for the lead magnet[44:25] Defining action steps for the lead magnet[49:56] Dallas discussed current client surge vs creating the lead magnet Key Takeaways Using Niche marketing to enhance engagement and foster connections Design lead magnets that prepare clients for your core coaching services Using affirmations and guided meditations in your lead magnet Combining movement, meditation, and affirmations to help actors feel more confident and energized Prioritizing current client surge before delving into lead magnet creation List building is a major priority for the majority of Hive members this year, so we're focusing on building easy habits to build your list without feeling overwhelmed. We'd love to welcome up to six new members into The Hive this month and we've got a spot with your name on it. You can apply for The HIVE at dallastravers.com/apply. Agnes is under the weather this week so Pinky pays her a visit with some movies and ice cream. While meeting with Agnes, Red receives a call from Dembe asking for his help to get Dr. Michael Abani out of custody in Yemen because Dembe needs a favor from an old friend, specifically the mother of Dembe's kid. Support the Show! Be sure to #FillTheFedora on Patreon. Case Profile for Dr. Michael Abani We dig into a little backstory this week on one of our favorite characters, Dembe.  Many moons ago, Dembe was a young up and coming university student who had a love of fine wine and fine women, mostly the women since he did not not drink.  He also had a knack for being a criminal as he helped support his friend Raymond who had rescued him as a younger child. One day as Dembe is delivering a pack to a handoff, he meets the love of his life Aissa. One night Dembe frantically requests Aissa to leave with him and she let's Dembe know that she can't and is going to the states, but Dembe can't leave Raymond either and they part ways.  Years later Dembe returns only to find out that Aissa had a daughter, Isabella. Yep Dembe... you are the father.    Fast forward to today and Aissa is now preparing to web Dr. Michael Abani, but it turns up Abani was smuggling money and weapons to the rebels against the country of Yemen.  He is taken prisoner and Aissa realizes she can only turn to one person to save her fiancé.  Dembe.  Dembe then contants Red to see what he is able to do.  During the events they find out his partner John was the one doing the dirty work, setting up an account in Abani's name.  Red has a chat with the leaders of Yemen, turns over John, frees Abani, and gets a side deal in the process.  Dembe gets one last look at his long lost love as he begins to amend things with Red.    Be sure to answer our profiling question of the week: If you were Dembe, would you choose to go with Red or stay with your partner? Visit our feedback page to leave a response or call +1 (304) 837-2278.  Music For Dr. Michael Abani At the end of the episode as Dembe helps close the suitcase and Pops talks to Agnes we hear “Bless Me” by Moses Sumny. After some brainstorming and troubleshooting, Aissa and I came up with a fantastic lead magnet idea that checks all the boxes: 1. It has a clear promise 2. It's easy to implement 3. It's unique to Aissa 4. And… it relies on experiential marketing I'm not going to tell you what it is… you'll have to listen in to find out.  And before you dive in, be sure to have a notebook handy because you'll want to walk yourself through the same process Aissa and I follow so you can check all the boxes on your lead magnet too.  And with that… let's dive in. The final episode of the season welcomes back our community members discussing Malaysia's biggest speaking fails! Why do we keep joking about rape? What happens when a member of parliament challenged another to a debate? What do we do about religious sensitivities? Here, we discuss 3 recent speaking fails and deconstruct what happened, why did it happen and what do we do from here. We also provide our views on other speaking fails that did not quite make the list but were worth mentioning.Speaking fails discussed:Segment 1: Actor and hosts jokes about a movie rape scene on national television. Who is to blame? Who should be accountable?Segment 2: Member of parliament in the sitting government challenges an opposition member to a debate on the cabotage policy. Is this a good thing? Do people care?Segment 3: Locally produced, award-winning whiskey brand name enrages many quarters of society and politicians are quick to respond. What precedent does this set? Are they justified in their reaction?Bonus lightning round discussion:1) Lahabau Melaka, let's vote! Misguided use of slang.2) Communications minister tweets on future video quality. But 1080p already exists?3) Harassment of a journalist by PAS leaders. Why attack my family and the language I use?
