Nicki Minaj has all the smoke for Megan Thee Stallion, who said Nicki is p*ssy and won't address her "Hiss" comments. As I sit here, preparing to write about the latest episode of my podcast, "The Divested Diary," I can't help but feel a mix of frustration and disappointment. In today's episode, I tackled the topic of Black media and its impact on the image and representation of Black Americans. It's a subject that hits close to home for me as a Black woman passionate about uplifting and empowering my community. Throughout the episode, I delve into the problematic nature of certain Black media outlets, such as Bossip, Zeus Network, and Now That's TV. These platforms often prioritize sensationalized and negative content, perpetuating harmful stereotypes about Black people. From fights between baby mamas to rappers in prison, the focus is on the lowest common denominator rather than showcasing the diversity and achievements within the Black community. I express my frustration with the fact that these outlets are not only creating and promoting this content but that there is also a demand for it. People willingly participate in these shows, perpetuating the negative image of Black people. It's disheartening to see how this type of media reinforces stereotypes and hinders progress in the fight against racism. I also touch on the responsibility of Black media to uplift and inspire. I question why positive Black media that is engaging and empowering is so hard to find. It's crucial to highlight the achievements, talents, and stories of Black individuals who positively impact their communities. Doing so can challenge the negative narratives and showcase Black culture's diversity and richness. In the episode, I also discuss the need for divestment from toxic Black media. I encourage listeners to scroll past content that perpetuates negative stereotypes and instead seek media that uplifts and empowers. By consciously supporting positive Black media, we can change the narrative and promote a more accurate and positive representation of Black Americans. As I wrap up the episode, I hope listeners will join me in divesting from toxic Black media and supporting platforms that celebrate the achievements and diversity within our community. It's time to challenge the status quo and demand better representation. Together, we can create a media landscape that uplifts, inspires, and empowers Black Americans. Thank you for tuning in to this episode of The Divested Diary. I appreciate your support and look forward to continuing these important conversations. There’s a rumor going around Meek Mill didn’t just ban 6ix 9ine from his recent Miami birthday bash — he also reportedly didn’t grant MMG Boss Rick Ross access to his party either.According to Bossip the two rappers’ “ongoing beef” led to Meek not allowing Rozay into his section at LIV nightclub in Miami over the weekend. Meek Mill allegedly wants out of his MMG contract and is apparently having difficulty doing so. Shortly after the chatter started, Akademiks hopped on Twitch and essentially confirmed the rumor without mentioning Meek’s name.“There’s an artist who’s signed to another artist,” he says in the YouTube clip. “People saw when the artist who’s signed to the other artist was having a party, the artist they’re signed too allegedly tried to enter the party and go about certain places and I heard there was a big issue. One of your favorite artists who’s claimin’ that they lit, they a boss, they do whatever — they’re signed to another n-gga. And allegedly, they beefin’ with the other n-gga because they’re trying to get off the label. That’s what I heard.“I don’t even want to say names because I’m in disbelief. I hear they want off the label. This has been an ongoing conversation. The n-gga that they signed to showed up to their party and they were not happy. When that person showed up, there was issues.”Support the show (https://www.paypal.com/mep/dashboard)

Too Close for Comfort is an American sitcom television series that aired on ABC from November 11, 1980, to May 5, 1983, and in first-run syndication from April 7, 1984, to February 7, 1987. Its name was changed to The Ted Knight Show when the show was retooled in 1986 for what would turn out to be its final season, due to Ted Knight's death. The original concept of the series was based on the 1980s British sitcom Keep It in the Family.[1][2] Knight plays work-at-home cartoonist Henry Rush, whose two grown children live in the downstairs apartment of his San Francisco townhouse. The family moves to Marin County for the show's final season, where Rush becomes a co-owner of the local weekly newspaper.[1]

We're ending February on Revision Path with a little bit of Black web history! Markus Robinson is currently the VP of innovation and creative at Interactive One, but before that, he co-founded one of the Internet's most popular news sources on Black tech -- Black Web 2.0. Who would have thought that it would get him to where he is today? Markus started off talking about the web properties he oversees -- Bossip and BlackPlanet, just to name a couple -- and talked about how his work with Interactive One opened his eyes to the world of product. He also spoke on growing up in Florida, shared the origin story of Black Web 2.0, and we both had a good discussion about Black media, trusted sources, and the importance of offering a platform for others. It's truly been astonishing watching Markus level up over the years, and I'm glad we were able to catch up and take you all with us as we look at the early days of the Black web! But now the warfare has reportedly engulfed the lives of other people associated with the two. One friend of Vaughn has reportedly filed a multi-pronged lawsuit against the legendary comedian-turned-“Family Feud” host, saying Harvey unleashed his goons on her to harass and intimidate the civil rights activist and “murder her emotional state of mind” after he learned that she was in talks to do a reality show with his ex-wife. Essie Berry has reportedly filed a lawsuit against the Kings of Comedy star for “defamation, despicable conduct, intentional infliction of mental anguish and emotional distress,” Bossip reports after, according to Berry, he engineered a years-long campaign of malicious intimidation and sabotage, according to court documents filed on May 22. Berry is the widow of sitcom star Fred Berry from the classic show “What's Happening.” Harvey allegedly commenced a seek-and-destroy mission of Berry after she and Harvey's ex-wife, Mary Vaughn, were in the talks to participate in a reality show she'd been pitched called “Widows, Wives and Ex-Celebrity Wives.” Berry said she was not privy to the fact that Vaughn had signed a nondisclosure agreement during her turbulent divorce from Harvey that forbids her from speaking on anything related to the former marriage. Once Harvey found out that such a reality show was possibly in the works, Berry said Harvey went volcanic and tried to torpedo Berry's life though “malicious prosecution.” Harvey allegedly referred to her as an “extortionist” and a “co-conspirator.” Berry said Harvey's shenanigans and industry sabotaging scared away this and any other reality show opportunities. “…The defendant went (to) great lengths to make Ms. Berry's life a living hell,” Berry wrote in court docs, according to Bossip. Harvey countered Berry's accusations as unsubstantiated and meritless and dismissed her as a person who was abusing the justice system. Berry fired a few counter strikes, saying Harvey did the following to her: Hired folks to scare her over the phone; Had goons show up announced at a family member's home while she was there; Had a mysterious man hide in the bushes while peering in a friend's home windows in an effort to find Berry; tampered with her mail; stalked Berry “When someone saw the man peeking in the window, he was confronted,” Berry wrote in her new complaint, according to the entertainment publication. “This is when he identified himself as an affiliate of Harvey, not an officer of any court. He asked for the plaintiff by first name, then ran off.” A terrified Berry responded by filing a police report and getting a restraining order against Harvey, her court papers say. She is asking the courts for $5M in damages, as she said she had to seek medical help to deal with anxiety, panic attacks and other health-related issues due to her extreme fear of the Harvey camp.
