New movies covered in this episode: The Marsh King's Daughter [00:01:14] - Daisey Ridley aka Rey Skywalker of the Skywalker ennealogy returns to reprise her role as Rey Skywalker in the gritty origin tale "The Marsh King's Daughter: A Star Wars Story." Just kidding, this is a movie where she just shoots dudes in the swamp. Divinity [00:22:15] - IT'S DORFFIN' TIME. Heavily-stylized lo-fi sci-fi with a climactic stop-motion fight scene? Your Movie Masters are listening. What Happens Later [00:39:02] - written by, directed by, and starring Meg Ryan, this is a meta RomCom within a RomCom that's, by all accounts, very very odd. Hear why. Priscilla [00:55:50] - a full-blown movie about a woman who sits at home while her husband goes around the world taking drugs, eating himself to death, and cheating on her. Sounds riveting, yeah? By all accounts Disney+ is a smash success...or is Disney just fibbing on their subscriber numbers? We'll talk subscriptions and some controversial decisions and disclaimers on some content from the new streaming network. We'll also look at some exceptionally rare Disney items coming up for auction. Daisey Ridley gives us four words to describe The Rise of Skywalker, Spongebob's Squidward is getting a spinoff and new movie while Nickelodeon throws it's had into the streaming service market and we pay tribute to the bad guy everyone loves to hate from The Walking Dead before we finish up with a couple of great new shows in our Insightful Picks of the Week.
Tom Holland finds his arcana, which allows him to manifest psychic images around him. This comes in handy in an otherworldly tournament where there's no girls allowed. We'll see what Daisey Ridley and Jessica McNamee have to say about that! Meanwhile, Lewis Tan and Mads Mikkelsen have tea. Nick Jonas?

Max Barbakow – Andy Samberg, Cristin Milioti, J.K. Simmons, Peter Gallagher, Tyler Hoechlin. 2020 LIKE CRAZY, Dir. Drake Doremus – Felicity Jones, Anton Yelchin, Jennifer Lawrence, Chris Medina. 2011 THE 13th WARRIOR, Dir. John McTiernan – Antonia Banderas, Vladimir Kulich, Omar Shariff, Tony Curran, Diane Venora, Richard Bremmer. 1999 0:21:45 - Trailers - THE UNHOLY and CONCRETE COWBOY 0:31:30 - CHAOS WALKING, Dir. Doug Liman 0:55:15 - CHERRY, Dir. Anthony Russo, Joe Russo (Marvel) Chaos Walking Doug Liman, we expect better from you. We aren't mad, just disappointed. Chaos Walking is adapted from a novel by author Patrick Ness and has all the ingredients for a real gem- great, young cast, solid director well versed in action and narrative line, and bigger budget. Still, a subpar film with promise early on and undelivered fulfillment on those promises. Though- one thing does have to be said for Chaos Walking- It's releases in theaters when few others are, a fact that is very relevant in the middle of a pandemic. Megastar Tom Holland and should be megastar but isn't Daisey Ridley take the leads in the dystopian Sci-Fi adventure where people can hear each other's thoughts in different forms of sound called "Noise" and there are no women. Should be interesting, but it isn't. (3/10) Cherry (Apple) The latest Apple Original film is Cherry- A film about the journey of a young man from early adulthood (college) to the Army as a medic post 9/11, to back home where he has a wife and house waiting for him, to the pits of his own despair in the form of drug addiction ruining the life of those around him to robbing banks and then to an eventual incarceration and a pretty great mustache in the last few moments of the story. It's a ride for sure. Hopefully, you took it. It's worth it. Tom Holland is Cherry- a young man who goes through the above journey. It's broken out into several different parts and an epilogue that is very pleasing to watch and an impressive montage to boot. It's not an easy watch not is it fun, but very satisfying. (6/10) Hosted, produced and mixed by Grayson Maxwell and Roger Stillion. Guest appearance by Chris Boughan. Music by Chad Wall. Quality Assurance by Anthony Emmett. Emma is joined by the marvelous Danielle Shemaiah (The Whisperforge) to discuss the last film in the Skywalker Saga, The Rise of Skywalker. Featuring: our love for Daisey Ridley and Kelly Marie Tran, Karens against Aperol Spritzes, embracing your inner Chardonnay lover, Kylo Ben, representation, too many unnecessary white men, and Danielle's killer wine instincts.
