Hey Full House Fans, Angela Bowen here, the host of Oh Mylanta Holy Chalupas: An Unofficial Full House Fuller House Podcast. Today, I covered the final episode of The Break Up Double Feature, Full House: S7E19: Love On The Rocks, which aired on March 1, 1994. In this episode D.J. tells Becky that she is worried about her relationship with Steve after he goes to a film seminar for college in Los Angeles. She feels that they have been growing apart and their relationship has lost it's passion. Kimmy who is dating a guy named John who she refers to as Keanu (my guess is because of Keanu Reeves) also has opinions on DJ and Steve's relationship calling them boring. Andrea Barber has more kissing scenes in this episode than I can count on one hand. I remember in her book when she mentioned a guy that she had to kiss on the show that made her uncomfortable and she sought advice from Lori Loughlin on how to get through the scene. I think this is that guy she was referring to in her book because the only other guy she kissed on the show was Bitterman and that was back was in Season 3. I like how DJ asks Danny for advice especially since he just broke up with Vicki five episodes prior, he has good advice for her. I love their heart to heart moments. Joey kicks off April Fools Day early by setting every watch and clock in the house and not to mention the car radios and Jesse's pocket watch back 3 hours, so everyone wakes up at 5 a.m. instead of 8a.m. I would be majorly P.O.'d if he did that to me especially if I had to work in the morning or go to school. Danny even tells everyone who by btw is already dressed for the day "look on the bright side at least we can get a few more hours sleep" Who would be able to fall asleep after that, I wouldn't. What are they gonna do put their pajamas back on, sleep in the clothes they'll wear for the day. Yeah, right. They decide to get Joey back by taping a lottery drawing and getting those winning numbers and then switch out Joey's ticket and make him think he won the BIG jackpot. For years I didn't understand how this worked until it finally dawned on me, that's right you can pick and play your own numbers, you don't have to be forced to get random ones. Why this took so long for the lightbulb moment to go off, I'll never know. This reminds me of a Season 1 moment in Just One Of The Guys when Joey taped a Lakers Basketball Game on TV and made bets with Jesse until Stephanie ruined it by saying "Joey, you didn't know all this stuff when we watched the tape this morning." This episode was so hilarious and also heartbreaking. In the end DJ chooses herself but then in Season 8 she dates Nelson who she has zero chemistry with and Viper who I think is too old for her and too much like Season 1 Jesse not to mention I think he's, what 19 and she's 17, I can't see Danny being ok with her dating him. Also in Season 8 DJ's Choice she also ends things with Viper and Nelson by choosing herself. So what was the point of bringing Nelson and Viper on to the show. Have a great week everyone. I'll be back in April with an episode in honor of Candace Cameron Bure's Birthday. To EMAIL The Podcast Go To: omhcfhfhpodcast@gmail.com

Also, Joyce Hyser believes being a girl is why her story isn’t entered in a high school competition for a summer job at a newspaper, so she poses as a boy to get what she thinks she deserves in Lisa Gottlieb’s comedy JUST ONE OF THE GUYS. Deborah Goodrich Royce is a debut thriller author, but you might know her from her time in movies and TV. Deborah starred in the tv soap opera All My Children, along with starring in the movies April Fools Day and Just One Of The Guys. Her debut book is called "Finding Mrs. Ford" Details: On a sunny summer morning by the sea in New England, Susan Ford's cocoon of privilege is threatened when an Iraqi man from her distant past boards a plane in Baghdad to come find her. Mrs. Ford leads a privileged life. From her Blenheim spaniels to her cottage on the coast of Watch Hill, Rhode Island, she carefully curates her world. Hair in place, house in place, life in place, Susan Ford keeps it under control. Early one morning in the summer of 2014, the past pays a call to collect. The FBI arrives to question her about a man from Iraq—a Chaldean Christian from Mosul—where ISIS has just seized control. Sammy Fakhouri, they say, is his name and they have taken him into custody, picked up on his way to her house. Back in the summer of 1979, on the outskirts of a declining Detroit, college coed Susan meets charismatic and reckless Annie. They are an unlikely pair of friends but they each see something in the other—something they'd like to possess. Studious Susan is a moth to the flame that is Annie. Yet, it is dazzling Annie who senses that Susan will be the one who makes it out of Detroit. Together, the girls navigate the minefields of a down-market disco where they work their summer jobs. It's a world filled with pretty girls and powerful men, some of whom—like Sammy Fakhouri—happen to be Iraqi Chaldeans. What happened in that summer of 1979 when Susan and Annie met? Why is Sammy looking for Susan all these years later? And why is Mrs. Ford lying?

Teen rebellion never looked as fierce as it does in 1985’s THE LEGEND OF BILLIE JEAN. This Joan of Arc-inspired, yet highly original movie manages to still leave audiences ready to fight every injustice. If you’ve seen this cult movie, you most likely love it. But if this legend has escaped your memory, prepare yourself for the totally rad, empowering feminist hero that is Billie Jean Davy. ▶️ A Texas teen seeks justice for her beaten up brother whose scooter been destroyed by a town bully. After being sexually assaulted and her plan going awry, Billie Jean, her brother and two friends go on the run, refusing to give up until the score has been settled. Thick with themes, THE LEGEND OF BILLIE JEAN touches on sexism, classism, media sensationalism, feminism, personal ethics and all the while remaining a fun and inspired ‘80s road movie. We’ll touch on the careers of the main players (Helen Slater, Christian Slater, Yeardley Smith and Peter Coyote), the film’s influence, Pat Benatar’s “Invincible” and why it’s a crime this film is so overlooked. ▶️ Picks of the Week: Teenage rebellion rages on with two films that dare to break society’s rules. In Justin’s Pick, 1990’s PUMP UP THE VOLUME, Christian Slater plays an introverted high-schooler with a pirate-radio station alter ego encouraging his classmates to question authority. Lindsay’s Pick confronts sexism, gender stereotypes and bullying in a wildly ridiculous teen comedy about gender-swapping to prove a point in 1985’s JUST ONE OF THE GUYS. ▶️ After the success of Ghostbusters, Billy felt his career may have hit its peak. So in 1985, he needed to escape the country to save his sanity. Your MurrayMoment finds our Billy living and re-centering himself in France. She may not look like a typical superhero, but Billie Jean is a warrior and a groundbreaking character for ladies in the ‘80s. Although this film went largely unnoticed in its day, we wanna set the record straight and we’re not giving up until you watch this legendary movie. FAIR IS FAIR!

Kyle, in his Raspberry Shadowhawk disguise, tries to prove that he's worthy for membership in the Black Circle crime organization by hunting down a villanous squid who decapitates people with pink ninja stars. Yes, you read that correctly. And THIS is one of the better books in Ben Raab's run. Plus, as a palate cleanser, I'm also taking a look at the very trippy story Green Lantern: Willworld. For some reason, Hal Jordan has been transported into a strange world populated with immense Buddha-like characters, talking grasshoppers, and giant floaty heads. No, seriously...not like the Guardians, but giant disembodied heads. It's like writer J.M. DeMatteis wanted to set Green Lantern in the Yellow Submarine movie. Not that that is a bad thing. Regardless, I'm going to cover them until the end, and I hope you'll join me for the ride. So unless you want Scarlet Shadowhawk to lay the smackdown on your a$$, I'd suggest you grab your mp3 player of choice, download the show, and start to listening!Feedback for this show can be sent to: justoneoftheguyspodcast@gmail.comJust One Of The Guys is a proud member of the Two True Freaks! Chugging along through the Ben Raab run of Green Lantern on JUST ONE OF THE GUYS, we come to our first multi-part story, a little tale entitled, "The Blind". No, this isn't what happens to you when you stare at the character of Lianna for too long......but a cosmic cloud thingee that just likes to make stars go supernova and blow planets up and stuff. Yeah, not exactly an original idea, but the story of Kyle dealing with it with help from Tibby the Space Turtle and interference from Space FEMA is actually pretty entertaining and makes me wonder what all the fuss about Ben Raab's run on the book is. Short and sweet this time out. So unless you want to get hit on by a horny alien space cat, I'd suggest you grab your mp3 player of choice, download the show, and get to listening!Feedback for this show can be sent to: justoneoftheguyspodcast@gmail.comJust One Of The Guys is a proud member of the Two True Freaks! Everything has changed again...except that it really hasn't...all that much. Yes, I know that is a trite cliché, and I'm sorry I have to use it again, but things keep changing in the Green Lantern books, and so it also must on JUST ONE OF THE GUYS. This time out, in Green Lantern #165, the change is a new creative team in writer Ben Raab and artist Rick Burchett and a new story with Kyle attempting to recruit a new Green Lantern Corps in order to hunt down Amon Sur and the Black Circle. There's an introduction of a character that'll make his way into the current run of Green Lantern seeded in the book...and there's also some truly punny tales in there as well. Is the Ben Raab run going to lead to the downfall of the series like so many have told me? We'll just have to find out together. So unless you want Agraria-7...a farm planet (SIGH!!!)...to be invaded by giant space bugs, I suggest you grab your mp3 player of choice, download the show, and start to listening.Feedback for this show can be sent to: justoneoftheguyspodcast@gmail.comJust One Of The Guys is a proud member of the Two True Freaks! It's nearly closing time for Judd Winick on the Green Lantern books, and Ben Raab is poised to step in and tell his stories. But before we get to that, we've got the final Green Lantern/Green Arrow crossover in the JUST ONE OF THE GUYS era, which surprisingly features books by both Judd winick and Ben Raab. In issue #23 of Green Arrow, we get newly back from the dead archer, Oliver Queen, doing what he normally does...taking down some drug smuggling goons. But for some reason these goons are smuggling high grade bleach. Weird...Meanwhile, Green Lantern Kyle Rayner has a run in with some aliens who are doing dirty deals with the mob, which leads to the inevitable GL/GA team up...which doesn't go as well as it did back in the Hal and Ollie days. And in issue #162 of Green Lantern the plot thickens as Conner Hawke breaks up the Ollie and Kyle tussle and Kyle makes friends with some DiManzo "relations"...if you know what I mean. Plus, I'm joined by first time guest and host of The Invincible Ironcast: Classics Edition, Mr. Michael Staley who brings his fandom of Green Arrow to the show. Plus art by soon to be (at least by time of the book's publication) Walking Dead artist, Charlie Adlard, so comparisons to those characters abound. So unless you want to b beaten up by ring construct Sumo wrestlers, I suggest you grab your mp3 player of choice, download the show, and get to listening!Feedback for this show can be sent to: justoneoftheguyspodcast@gmail.comJust One Of The Guys is a proud member of the Two True Freaks! Oh dear Lord, is this how Judd Winick's runn on Green Lantern is going to finish? Because if issue 161 of GREEN LANTERN is any indication, the writer who gave us the Power of Ion and Hate Crimes is just phoning it it. This time out on JUST ONE OF THE GUYS we get into an issue that wraps up Kyle tracking down an Amazon stripper with immeasurable power who just might be a rapidly matured Guardian of the Universe baby. Plus Ganthet magics away all the destruction from last issue, and the big reveal that Jenny told to Kyle is wiped away like it had zero meaning. It's some really lazy writing in the last days of the Winick run, and I hope this isn't an indicator for how the rest of the series will go. So unless you want to be hung upside down all Wampa cave style and stared at by a stunted stripper, I suggest you grab your mp3 player of choice, download the show, and start to listening.Feedback for this show can be sent to: justoneoftheguyspodcast@gmail.comJust One Of The Guys is a proud member of the Two True Freaks! Hello lovely listeners, and welcome to this week's episode of Just One Of The Guys, the red-headed stepchild of the Two True Freaks podcast network. This week we're taking a slight break from the regular format and covering a prestige format book that deals with Green Lantern and the Silver Surfer. Wait, what? aren't they in different universes? Well, yes they are, but through the power of Oan science (and the fact that Marvel and DC didn't completely hate each other at the time) these two space based heroes were able to have a meet-up in the tradition of Superman vs. The Amazing Spider-Man from the 1970's. Plus we get some villain cameos from Thanos and Hal Jordan/Parallax (did he ever mention that's who he was?). And to aid me in my coverage of the book, I've snagged long lost podcasting host, Michael Bradley (The Thrilling Adventures Of Superman, Green Lantern's Light) to fill me in on the story as it relates to the upcoming DC vs. Marvel crossover. So, unless you want to know "WHAT'S IN THE BOX!!", I suggest you grab your mp3 player of choice, download the show, and get to listening!Feedback for this show can be sent to: justoneoftheguyspodcast@gmail.comJust One Of The Guys is a proud member of the Two True Freaks!
