Genuine Chit-Chat is back with a new quarterly show that will be airing in 2027 – a book club featuring Mike, Tony (A.R.) Farina and “Superdummy” Paul McGuigan! Initially recorded in 2025, this episode is the “pilot” where our trio review a book originally written in 1841 by Hugh Harkin, but was found in the 90s and printed by the Ballinascreen Historical Society as The Life & Adventures Of Hudy McGuigan! Paul is related to the titular character, hence their discovery of the book. The book is written in a unique way, with plenty of phonetic language and tall-tales, many of are considered truth from the time, about the mythical Hudy McGuigan and his life in Ireland, including the unusual situations he found himself in due to his mischievous ways - this is not a conventional book, so it makes the perfect pilot book to review! The ever-expanding Manuka Phuel Synthony Festival is officially returning in March next year. The first performers have been announced, and on performing alongside the likes of Paul Okenfold and Ladyhawke is New Zealand's own L.A.B. They've gone from strength to strength since their conception a decade ago and show no signs of slowing down – continuing to punch out hit after hit.
