Zack has brought it home and ushered in a new era and orange you glad it has finally happened? Triumph and heartbreak punctuated an eventful King of Pro Wrestling show and the Stiff Bois are here to review it all. The lads exult in what was a great show, detailing all the key highs, big moments, interesting beats and controversial reactions. The lads bask in the orange glow of ZSJ, breaking down the match and all that informed it before exploring: Shota Boo-mino bringing the future into focus, SANADA working in the subtle, Naito getting his deserved flowers, Finlay and the Global title's identity becoming clearer, Kishin Douki delivering a shocking late turn on the Way to the Grandmaster, Tanahashi knees now only having just over a year to hang on, Aussie Roi losing nothing, TMDK making Australia proud, Kevin Knight hitting unreal heights as the War Dogs become unleashed, and Hiromu cooking something up (and not even needing a rice cooker). KOPW was a show so big even YOH couldn't find the time to announce his return on it. Listen to the Stiff Bois discuss it all in this monster review episode. This update is brought to you by IndyWrestling.us. (STINGER: NJPW) Bullet Club dominated New Japan's Wrestling Dontaku show on Sunday…adding championships and a new member! We're going to run through this chronologically. First, Bullet Club's Bad Luck Fale & Chase Owens are the new IWGP Tag Team Champions. They pinned Hirooki Goto to win a 3-way over Goto & YOSHI-HASHI…and the former champs Great-O-Khan & Jeff Cobb. In the following match, Tama Tonga beat EVIL to win the NEVER Openweight Title. But right after the 3-count, Karl Anderson & Doc Gallows made a surprise appearance to beat up Tama Tonga, Tanga Loa, and Jado. Next, Bullet Club's Taiji Ishimori beat El Desperado to win the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Title. The semi-main event was up next: Hiroshi Tanahashi beat Tomohiro Ishii to win the vacant IWGP United States Championship. Chase Owens confronted Tanahashi after the match, setting him up for a blindside attack by a masked man - who revealed himself to be Juice Robinson, who is now part of Bullet Club. Robinson had said he would be leaving New Japan when his contract expired at the end of April. Juice is a LIAR!. Finally came the main event. Kazuchika Okada beat Tetsuya Naito to retain the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship. But just when it appeared the show-ending celebration was over, Jay White showed up - back in Japan for the first time in about a year. White and the rest of the refreshed Bullet Club lineup laid out Okada to close the show. Okada is now set to defend against White at Dominion on June 12th. Also announced for Dominion…Anderson will challenge Tama Tonga for the NEVER Title…and Owens & Fale will defend the tag titles against Cobb & Great-O-Khan. Tokyo Sports reports Tetsuya Naito will undergo a second surgery to address double vision in his right eye. The first procedure was back in 2019 and Naito missed a few weeks of action. A special welcome to those of you listening on OccupyProWrestling.com. If you want to bring our updates to your website...email us: desk@justprowrestlingnews.com. (STINGER: WWE) Tonight's NXT is promoting the first interview with Adam Cole since TakeOver. Bronson Reed faces Austin Theory. If Reed wins, he gets another shot at Johnny Gargano's North American Title. Also, Mercedes Martinez vs. Dakota Kai...and Kushida & MSK vs. Legado Del Fantasma The WWE Championship match at WrestleMania Backlash...is now a 3-Way. Bobby Lashley will now defend against Drew McIntyre AND Braun Strowman. Strowman earned his place in the match by pinning McIntyre in the main event of last night's Raw. A distraction by T-Bar and Mace gave Strowman the opening he needed. The show opened with T-Bar & Mace beating McIntyre & Strowman via countout...after McIntyre hit Strowman with an errant clothesline. Strowman hit McIntyre with a powerslam after the match. One week after Charlotte Flair suspended indefinitely, and fined, for attacking a referee...she was BACK on Raw. She apologized to the ref she pummeled...and after some prodding the ref apologized to Charlotte. Sonya Deville was on hand for all of this and she lifted Charlotte's suspension. This was apparently ALL news to Adam Pearce. Rhea Ripley, Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler beat Asuka, Naomi and Lana. Jax pinned Lana. Earlier in the match, Dana Brooke & Mandy Rose strolled out...threw water at Baszler...which led to Jax slipping on the wet floor. All this in retaliation for Jax throwing flowers at Brooke & Rose earlier. Deville decided to punish her former tag partner Rose with a match against Charlotte Flair. And Charlotte pinned Mandy with Natural Selection to win that match. I guess R-K-Bro is gonna be a thing. Riddle and Randy Orton teamed up to beat Cedric Alexander and Shelton Benjamin. Damien Priest, Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods pelted The Miz, John Morrison, Elias and Jaxson Ryker with tomatoes...then won a trios match against them Humberto Carrillo was back on Raw to once again get in the face of the United States Champion Sheamus. (STINGER: New Japan) New Japan joined other promotions Monday...in calling off some shows due to a new COVID-19 state of emergency in parts of Japan. Three shows at Korakuen Hall scheduled for May 8th, 10th & 11th are now canceled. New Japan has a big show on Wednesday - with Roppongi 3K defending the Jr. Tag Titles in the main event...against El Desperado and Yoshinobu Kanemaru. Also, Toru Yano will defend the KOPW 2021 provisional title against EVIL. It'll be a Creation Of Darkness Blindfold Match. Blindfolds/hoods will be hung on each ring post. A decision can not be scored until you use one to blindfold your opponent. A couple big singles matches on the Road To Wrestling Dontaku on Monday. It was a good day for Los Ingobernables De Japon. Tetsuya Naito delivered THREE Destinos to pin Great-O-Khan in the main event. And, SANADA pinned Aaron Henare after a TKO and a pair of moonsaults. (STINGER: AEW) Some fresh faces on tonight's Dark...including former Lucha Underground Champion Marty Casaus (ka-SAUCE) making his AEW debut against Brian Cage. Also, The Blade & Private Party vs. Dark Order's Evil Uno, Stu Grayson & 10. On last night's Dark: Elevation...Big Swole & Red Velvet beat the dysfunctional team of Nyla Rose & Madi Wrenkowski. Rose was bullying Wrenkowski. Wrenkowski was giving Rose an attitude. Rose eventually turned on her - hitting a powerbomb on Wrenkowski and then just walking away. Matt Sydal pinned Joey Janela in the main event. Also, Ethan Page & Scorpio Sky beat Dark Order's Alex Reynolds and Alan “5” Angels. (STINGER: ROH) On Ring Of Honor's weekend TV…The first outing for Violence Unlimited was a disqualification LOSS in a trios match against La Faccion Ingobernable. Brody King used a chair on Bestia Del Ring to draw the DQ. The show ended with The Foundation running out to beat up BOTH factions. Earlier, Eli Isom and Dak Draper wrestled to a 15-minute time limit draw. It looked like were gonna get 5 more minutes, but Dalton Castle arrived on the scene first - sporting a new look AND new BOYS. Castle kicked both guys in the groin to put them down...and then, danced away. Next weekend's ROH TV will have HOT SAUCE Tracy Williams' first defense of his TV Title...against Tony Deppen. Tonight's NWA Powerrr has Da Pope defending the NWA TV Title against Tyrus. Major League Wrestling will debut on VICE TV this Saturday at Noon. It sounds like this show will be a look back at MLW history. The new content is still premiering on Fusion every Wednesday...at least, for now. That's JUST Pro Wrestling News for Tuesday, April 27. (STINGER: WWE) New matches announced...and a big change to another...for WrestleMania. The showdown between The Miz and Bad Bunny will now be a tag team match. Miz and John Morrison vs. Bad Bunny and Damien Priest. The challenge was laid out by Priest after Miz and Morrison defaced Bad Bunny's $3.6 million dollar Buggati. The WWE Women's Tag Team Titles will be defended at WrestleMania. But first, we need a challenger. A Tag Team Turmoil match will decide that on Night 1 of Mania - Naomi & Lana vs. Dana Brooke & Mandy Rose vs. The Riott Squad vs. Tamina & Natalya. Those teams were announced on last night's Raw. WWE's website listed a fifth team - Carmella & Billie Kay. Anyway, whichever team wins on Night 1 will challenge the champs, Nia Jax & Shayna Baszler on Night 2. Raw women's champion Asuka and her WrestleMania challenger Rhea Ripley were NOT able to coexist last night. They lost to a non-title match to the WWE women's tag champs Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler. Ripley attacked Asuka during the match, allowing Baszler to PIN Asuka. Drew McIntyre survived a final hurdle on his road to Mania, beating King Corbin. WWE Champ Bobby Lashley warmed up for their showdown with a non-title win over Cedric Alexander. Xavier Woods rolled up AJ Styles for an upset win...and U.S. Champ Riddle pinned Mustafa Ali in another non-title match... WWE Hall Of Fame Induction Ceremonies air tonight on WWE Network and Peacock starting at 8PM. The Class of 2020 includes The nWo, The Bella Twins, JBL, British Bulldog, Jushin “Thunder” Liger and William Shatner. Titus O'Neill will receive the 2020 Warrior Award. The Class of 2021 includes Kane, Rob Van Dam, The Great Khali, Molly Holly, Eric Bischoff and Ozzy Osbourne. (STINGER: AEW) A new match added to Wednesday's Dynamite: Max Caster from The Acclaimed...vs. Hangman Page. On last night's Dark: Elevation...Caster used some distraction and a boombox to beat Dark Order's Colt Cabana...and Page beat Bill Collier. Scorpio Sky & Ethan Page beat Matt & Mike Sydal. Plus, Michael Nakazawa got a singles match...and a win...over Vary Morales. (STINGER: New Japan) New Japan laying out its road map for the next two months. The Road To Wrestling Dontaku begins Saturday. The full cards are out there, but here are the noteworthy matches. The main event on Tuesday, April 20th is a NEVER 6-Man Tag Title match - Hirooki Goto, Tomohiro Ishii & YOSHI-HASHI defending against Bullet Club's KENTA, Yujiro Takahashi & Taiji Ishimori. On Monday, April 26th, two singles matches headline the show. Tetsuya Naito vs. Great-O-Khan and SANADA vs. Aaron Henare. The Jr. Tag Titles will be defended two days later. Roppongi 3K vs. the former champs, El Desperado & Yoshinobu Kanemaru. Also on that card, Toru Yano defends the KOPW 2021 Provisional title against EVIL. The first of the big Wrestling Dontaku shows is on Monday, May 3rd. Hiroshi Tanahashi defends the NEVER Title against Jay White...and Taichi vs. Tama Tonga in a Ladder Match with the Iron Finger From Hell suspended above the ring. The following day, YOH challenges El Desperado for the IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Title...and Will Ospreay defends the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship against Shingo Takagi. Whoever wins that match will defend the big belt against Kazuchika Okada at Wrestle Grand Slam in Tokyo Dome...on Saturday, May 29th. IWGP United States Champion Jon Moxley issued a challenge Monday. He wants his next title defense to be against...Yuji Nagata. (STINGER: ROH) On this past weekend's Ring Of Honor TV...Brian Johnson used a low blow to create an opening for his Trust The Process finisher, as he pinned Danhausen. Also, Eli Isom pinned LSG. Tonight's NWA Powerrr has The Pope defending the NWA TV Title against Fred Rosser. A quick reminder - NO Impact Wrestling tonight. The show is moving to its new Thursday night time slot this week. Listen and subscribe at www.JustProWrestlingNews.com I'm Matt Carlins and this is JUST Pro Wrestling News for Saturday, February 13, 2021. This update is brought to you by IndyWrestling.us. Results from Friday's SmackDown and Pro-Wrestling NOAH shows are straight ahead in this update but first… (STINGER: Impact) FOUR title matches set for tonight at Impact Wrestling's “No Surrender” show. It's an Impact Plus exclusive. Tommy Dreamer celebrates his 50th birthday with a shot at Rich Swann's Impact World Championship. The Good Brothers defend the Impact Tag Titles in 3-way against AEW's Private Party and the team of James Storm and Chris Sabin. TJP defends the X-Division Championship against Rohit Raju. The next #1 contender for the X-Division title will be decided in the first-ever Triple Threat Revolver Match. It's basically a 3-way dance with replacements. Three men will start - when a wrestler is pinned or submitted, another will take his place. Once they're out of entrants, the final pinfall or submission will earn the victory. Simple, right? Eight men are involved - Trey Miguel, Chris Bey, Josh Alexander, Blake Christian, Ace Austin, Willie Mack, Suicide and Daivari. Tasha Steelz and Kiera Hogan defend the Knockouts tag titles against Havok and Neveah in a No Disqualification/Texas Tornado rules match. Also, Hernandez & Brian Myers vs. Matt Cardona & Eddie Edwards (STINGER: WWE) WWE will give us TWO matches inside the Elimination Chamber in just over a week. SmackDown set up its offering on Friday night. Six men will compete for a shot at Roman Reigns' Universal Championship later that same night. Four of them earned their spots in the Chamber on Friday's SmackDown. King Corbin and Sami Zayn beat Rey and Dominik Mysterio...and Daniel Bryan and Cesaro beat Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode. Kevin Owens and Jey Uso will also be in the SmackDown Chamber match. Seth Rollins returned to SmackDown - entering to his old “Burn It Down” song - as wrestlers surrounded the ring. But it quickly became clear that Rollins' days as “The Messiah” are not over yet. The wrestlers all left while Rollins was speaking. Cesaro was the last to leave, but that just left him open to be attacked from behind by Rollins. An Intercontinental Title match between Big E and Shinsuke Nakamura was interrupted by Apollo Crews, who caused a disqualification. 58-year-old Keiji Mutoh is the new GHC Heavyweight Champion. He ended Go Shizaki's 400+ day reign in the main event of Pro-Wrestling NOAH's big show at Budokan Hall Friday. The undercard saw Seiki Yoshioka defeat Daisuke Harada to win the GHC junior heavyweight champion. (STINGER: New Japan) Not much time to rest for New Japan after their “New Beginning” tour. The “Castle Attack” tour kicks off Sunday with the first “Road To” show. The main event is a 10-man elimination tag between Chaos vs. Bullet Club. Big matches later on the tour: El Phantasmo and Taiji Ishimori defend the junior tag titles against Hiromu Takahashi and BUSHI on February 25th. And then, the big shows on back-to-back days - February 27th...Kazuchika Okada vs. EVIL...Jay White vs. Tomohiro Ishii...AND Toru Yano defending the provisional KOPW 2021 title against Chase Owens. The following day - February 28th - has FOUR title matches - Kota Ibushi defending the Intercontinental Title against Tetsuya Naito...Hiromu Takahashi defending his junior title against El Phantasmo...Great-O-Khan challenging Hiroshi Tanahashi for the NEVER title...and Hirooki Goto and YOSHI-HASHI going after the tag titles held by the Guerrillas of Destiny. (STINGER: ROH) It was supposed to happen at Final Battle. Now, Ring Of Honor has set the date for Shane Taylor Promotions to finally get their shot at the 6-man tag titles held by Bandido, Rey Horus and Flamita. The match will air on ROH TV during the weekend of February 20th. There's new hope for lucha libre as it wrestles with the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. Luchablog reports...areas in and around Mexico City will upgrade their health status to “orange” starting next week. That would allow promotions in that area to resume running shows - but still without any live fans in attendance. WrestleCon will be part of the WrestleMania week festivities in Tampa. Organizers announced a scaled-down convention with numerous COVID-19 safety protocols...along with virtual options for those who are unwilling or unable to attend. GCW presenting Josh Barnett's Bloodsport 4 tonight. Chris Dickinson vs. Jeff Cobb is the main event. FILTHY Tom Lawlor and Harry Smith also on the card.
