(STINGER: AEW) TWO new champions crowned on the Dynamite debut on TBS. Jurassic Express won the AEW Tag Titles from the Lucha Brothers in the main event of last night's show. Jungle Boy rolled up Penta El Zero Miedo for the win. Moments earlier, Luchasaurus choke slammed Rey Fenix through a table at ringside. Fenix immediately grabbed his left arm. It did not look good. Many AEW wrestlers were tweeting prayers and well wishes after the show. Jade Cargill is the first TBS Champion. She won the tournament final last night. Cargill pinned Ruby Soho after hitting Jaded from the second rope. The show opened with Hangman Page beating Bryan Danielson to retain the AEW Championship. He pinned Danielson with the Buckshot Lariat after about 30 minutes of action. “Captain” Shawn Dean beat MJF via disqualification…after CM Punk showed up, ran off MJF, and then hit Dean with the Go 2 Sleep. It's the first DQ finish in the history of Dynamite. Also last night, Malakai Black beat Brian Pillman Jr…and Wardlow made quick work of Antonio Zambrano. Tony Khan told Z100 in New York City that a “dream signing” is coming soon to AEW. (STINGER: WWE) A round of cuts behind the scenes at WWE - most of them involving NXT and the Performance Center. Fightful and PWInsider were among the first to report the names. The list includes William Regal, who was the longtime on-screen general manager on NXT… Brian James - better known as Road Dogg during his in-ring days… Hideki Suzuki, who was appearing on-screen as Hachiman with the Diamond Mine. Former NXT Tag Team Champion Danny Burch… Timothy Thatcher… And a number of coaches and other employees who were not appearing on TV. There's a title match on today's NXT UK. Meiko Satomura defends the UK Women's Championship against Blair Davenport. Also promoted for today's episode, Symbiosis vs. Ashton Smith & Oliver Carter. (STINGER: New Japan) Night 2 of Wrestle Kingdom 16 in Tokyo Dome on Wednesday. Kazuchika Okada beat Will Ospreay in the main event…to retain the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship. After the match, Tetsuya Naito was out and expressed his interest being Okada's next title challenger. Earlier, Naito beat Jeff Cobb. Hiroshi Tanahashi is once again the IWGP United States Champion. He beat KENTA in a bloody and brutal “no disqualification” match. Tanahashi finished off KENTA with a High Fly Flow from the top of a 10-12 foot tall ladder, driving KENTA through a table. Bullet Club's House Of Torture - EVIL, SHO & Yujiro Takahashi held onto the NEVER 6-Man titles with a win over Hirooki Goto, YOSHI-HASHI & YOH. SHO pinned YOH after he hit him with a wrench. Robbie Eagles & Tiger Mask retained the Junior Tag Titles. They won a 3-way over Ryusuke Taguchi & Rocky Romero and El Phantasmo & Taiji Ishimori. The ref threw out ELP and Ishimori mid-match after a metal plate was found in ELP's boot. Minoru Suzuki won the KOPW 2022 trophy…after winning a 4-way against Toru Yano, Chase Owens, and CIMA. Suzuki pinned Yano with a Gotch-style piledriver. A large contingent of wrestlers from Pro-Wrestling NOAH briefly occupied the ring just before the intermission - part of the hype for Saturday's Wrestle Kingdom card which will feature matches between New Japan and NOAH wrestlers. As a result, Zayn is OFF the SmackDown men's team. No replacement was named. Sasha Banks, Naomi & Aliyah beat Shayna Baszler, Shotzi & Natalya. Aliyah reversed Natalya's Sharpshooter into a rollup to get the pin. Naomi had a hand in the finish. That apparently upset Sonya Deville, because moments later backstage, Deville informed Aliyah that she's off the SmackDown women's team at Survivor Series...and there's no replacement named for that spot either. King Woods got a win over Universal Champion Roman Reigns via disqualification after The Usos interfered. This was a non-title match...BUT it was stated before the match that the loser must “bend the knee” to the winner, and if Reigns did not adhere to this..he would be stripped of his title and banished from SmackDown. Reigns was on one knee after the match after The Usos beat up Woods, so I guess he technically delivered on the stipulation. Also last night, Los Lotharios beat the Intercontinental Champion Shinsuke Nakamura & Rick Boogs. And NXT's Von Wagner appeared backstage during SmackDown...apparently as backup for Adam Pearce. WWE responded to Keith Lee stating earlier this week that he paid for his own medical bills and expenses. (STINGER: ROH) Uncertainty surrounds the future of Ring Of Honor. On Wednesday, ROH announced that it will go on hiatus following the Final Battle pay per view on December 11th. ROH released a statement saying it needs to “make changes” to its business operations...and “will be taking the first quarter of 2022 to work internally to reimagine ROH.” ROH said it anticipates “returning to live events in April 2022”. The Wrestling Observer, Fightful and other outlets are reporting that ALL talent are being released from their contracts. Wrestlers currently on the ROH roster are already making themselves available for bookings. ROH World Champion Bandido quickly announced three dates for GCW in December. ROH also announced Wednesday that “technical difficulties” will mean this weekend's ROH TV will be a rerun of a past episode featuring classic matches of Jay Lethal. The special Halloween episode of ROH TV that was being promoted will premiere on ROH's YouTube on October 31st at 7PM Eastern. (STINGER: AEW) THREE new matches are now announced for AEW's Full Gear pay per view. The Lucha Brothers will defend the AEW Tag Titles against FTR. The Inner Circle and American Top Team will meet in a Minneapolis Street Fight. The Inner Circle will get to choose which members of American Top Team they'll face...thanks to TNT Champion Sammy Guevara beating Ethan Page on last night's Dynamite. Also added to Full Gear, MJF vs. Darby Allin. Allin returned to AEW TV on last night's Dynamite. MJF escaped the ambush, but Wardlow took a shot to the back from Allin's thumbtack skateboard. Also last night, Hikaru Shida got some revenge, her 50th win in AEW...and advanced in the TBS Championship tournament by beating Serena Deeb. But Deeb used a steel chair to attack Shida's knee after the match. Jon Moxley made quick work of Dark Order's 10 to advance in the World Title Eliminator Tournament. Dark Order's Evil Uno, Stu Grayson, John Silver, and Colt Cabana beat The Elite's Kenny Omega, Adam Cole and the Young Bucks. Halloween costumes were worn by all the compatents. The Elite were dressed as the Ghostbusters...with someone dressed up as the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man. You'd think it was one of The Elite's lackeys - but NO! He revealed himself to be Hangman Page...and not long after that...John Silver pinned Matt Jackson for the win. CM Punk pinned Bobby Fish with the Go 2 Sleep. Cody Rhodes was confronted during an in-ring segment by Andrade El Idolo...and Malakai Black. Pac showed up to even the odds. A match announced for Friday's Rampage: Dante Martin & Lio Rush vs. the Sydal Brothers...will now be just Dante Martin vs. Matt Sydal. The explanation for the change is that Mike Sydal is injured. (STINGER: Impact) Tonight's Impact Wrestling has an X-Division Title match: Trey Miguel defending against Rocky Romero. Also tonight...Ace Austin vs. Chris Sabin...Joe Doering vs. Heath...and Tasha Steelz vs. Rachael Ellering... (STINGER: WWE) Tyler Bate defends the Heritage Cup Championship against Noam Dar on today's NXT UK. Also announced for today's episode...Mark Coffey vs. Rohan Raja. Ring announcer Greg Hamilton confirmed Wednesday that he's no longer in WWE. He called it a “mutual respect departure”.
