In this two-part episode, we ask you to be aware of the triggers so that you can take care because Degrassi is about to go there (I did not rhyme intentionally, but here we are). Jenna & KC finally get together once & for all. Holly J takes advantage of Marco and there's another plot line that nobody cares about in this episode. Terri passes trivia - but only just - so there goes her streak of great performance.
Send us a textParker Graye first joined us “On the Porch” for Season 1 Episode 4, in 2022. Since then, Parker has solidified herself as an emerging talent in Canadian country music. She's played Boots and Hearts, earned a Top 40 with her single “Good at Gettin' Gone”, and participated as a semi-finalist in SiriusXM's Top of the Country competition. At the 2024 CCMAs, Parker was a featured artist on the CCMA Songwriters Unplugged sessions. We recapped these big milestones with Parker in our latest conversation. We also talked about her transition to Nashville, building her circle, and evolving as a songwriter. Parker has some big goals for the next year - but one thing is certain, she's ‘leaving room for the magic'. This episode will inspire, enlighten and educate. I sit down with Jill Nykoliation, a visionary leader in marketing and branding. Jill shares her journey from learning about branding at the family dinner table to becoming a trailblazer. She discusses her time at Queen's University, her rapid ascent at Kraft, and her bold decision to venture into advertising. Jill's 'Tall Grass' philosophy, which she developed through her experiences, encourages embracing the unknown and pushing boundaries. It's about not being afraid to stand out, even if it means being the tallest in the field. She candidly recounts her experiences navigating male-dominated environments and the challenges of starting her agency, Juniper Park. Jill's 'Refounding' philosophy is about reinventing oneself, especially in the face of struggle. It's a powerful concept that can help those struggling to find their footing. Her insights on masculinity and femininity alone will make your visit worthwhile, but that isn't enough - Ienough—I bet many who listen will stage your version of Jill's Pirate Huddle. Jill is a wonderful storyteller, teacher, healer, and human being. If her journey moves you as much as it did me, I urge you to share it with others and to leave room for magic. Here are five key takeaways from Jill Nykoliation's inspiring journey: 1. Embrace the Tall Grass: 2. Trust Your Inner Voice: 3. Create Your Own Identity: 4. Go Where You're Wanted: 5. Leverage Curiosity as a Strength:
In which the Twelve should really be twelve chapters long; Archangel has issues; we continue to bemoan the absence of captions; the X-Men ditch their crossover event for a side quest; Magneto is Genosha's official chaperone; and we would absolutely elect Emma Frost to a school board.
We're excited to be joined by one of Chris' earliest mentors in the professional animal care world, Stu Levine! Stu crushes decades of amazing experiences into less than an hour to talk about being a part of the original "Florida NEI" team that moved Steve and the company from its former home base of Minnesota, the joy of eating lunch with a baboon every day, his history as a keeper, coordinator, and executive leadership consultant with the Walt Disney Company, the importance of combining organic learning with taking roles outside your comfort zone, why you should try to get a job doing your second favorite thing in life, and why leaders should let people dance on their dancefloor. If you have a shout-out you'd like us to share, a question or a topic you'd like us to discuss, or a suggestion for a guest we should have on the show, let us know at podcast@naturalencounters.com!

In this series, we will explore the opportunity that arises when we leave room for magic. I kick off the series by sharing my own experience of when I created space to be guided by the Divine. Then, I'm thrilled to share YOUR stories of moments you experienced awe as you left room for magic. Here are the steps to take to submit your own story:1. Begin by introducing yourself.2. Tell us about a time where you left space to receive guidance, chose to release the grip on control and chose to flow with the Divine instead.3. Make a good quality audio on your phone in a quiet room that is 5 to 10 minutes max in length. 4. Finally, reflect on how this experience has impacted the way you live your life.Send your recording to pennieloves@gmail.com, and please feel free to write me with any questions. Thank you for listening and participating! I can't wait to share your stories with our listeners. If you enjoy this podcast, it is greatly supportive to leave a 5 star review so others can find us, as well as share it with friends and family you feel may enjoy what is shared here, too.

Small business owners know better than anyone the importance of being flexible to meet the needs of their customers. Whether meeting with clients in the office or out in the field, working remotely, or-on-the go, constant connectivity and collaboration is more important than ever before. So, what does this mean for small businesses? Connections matter, but it's not just about networking with the right people. Success depends on having the right technology that lets businesses seamlessly connect with customers, suppliers, and employees. To offer guidance to our local small businesses here in Pittsburgh this National Small Business Week (April 28 - May 4, 2024), Vedran Ruzic, Director, Comcast Business, Keystone, steps up to the One Mic Stand to detail steps every small business owner should follow to ensure they are creating the right connections – and giving their business the best chance to succeed. Want to learn more? Keep reading below! Step 1: Get Online The first step for most small businesses is to simply to set up an Internet connection. The specific connectivity needs—such as the amount of bandwidth or mobile solutions—will vary from business to business. For instance, a small office with a handful of employees likely has very different bandwidth and connection needs than a 100-seat restaurant with a state-of-the-art point-of-sale (POS) system and a robust Wi-Fi network for its patrons to peruse while dining. Step 2: Add More Layers of Technology A speedy and reliable Internet connection can help support a broad range of powerful, business-grade technology tools that can give companies insights into how to run their business more efficiently. For example, a retailer might use Wi-Fi-enabled data analytics tools to understand customer foot traffic patterns in brick-and-mortar store locations. This can provide insights into peak traffic periods and areas of interest to consumers within the store while also enabling the retailer to make smarter decisions around everything from staffing to inventory management. Step 3: Lock up Critical Data Data security should always be a top focus. After all, it's not just big companies fraudsters are targeting. According to the 2023 Comcast Business Small Business Cybersecurity Report, the company blocked more than 390 million phishing attacks targeting small businesses in the second quarter of 2023. As a first line of defense, small businesses should make sure their Internet provider offers security solutions that help protect devices on the network from threats like malware, phishing scams, ransomware, and botnet attacks. And don't forget about mobile devices and smartphones both of which can present a security risk that should be factored into the overall cybersecurity plan. Step 4: Leave Room for Growth As small businesses grow, expand, and enter new markets, they need a technology infrastructure that can keep pace. That's why businesses need to ensure the technology they choose is flexible and compatible across multiple locations and can be monitored centrally. The right connectivity partner can help manage that growth, whether for a restaurant with multiple locations or a company with a broadly distributed workforce. Step 5: Select a Strong Mobile Phone Provider Choosing the best business mobile partner is different than selecting a personal mobile provider. The top factors small businesses should consider include: · Flexibility: A good mobile provider offers flexibility in their plans, allowing small businesses to customize based on their business requirements. That flexibility should extend beyond the original purchase and scale and flex to toggle, mix, and match between unlimited or by-the-gig data options. Importantly, find providers that give more savings as the company grows, with discounts that increase as more lines are added. · Device compatibility and availability: A mobile partner should offer a wide range of devices to meet specific technology needs since no two small businesses are the same. Whether the company needs tablets, phones, smart watches, hot spots, or a combination of them all, a good partner can work to select the specific devices that meet individual businesses requirements. While National Small Business Week is a time to recognize the impactful work of small businesses in the Pittsburgh region, it is also a great time to share resources and knowledge to better support these organizations. By following these steps, small businesses can build the foundation for success now and into the future. When preparation only takes you part of the way, support and a good care team can make all the difference. Cass Weber, a mom of 2, and an active member of the Butte community, describes how support and a good care team can make all the difference when things do not go as expected. Her resilient and positive attitude is refreshing and she has very useful advice for parents. After she had a caesarean section birth with her first child, Cass made sure to prepare for it all the second time around. Even though her second birth ended with a c-section as well, she says she did it on her terms, including having a favorite song playing in the OR when her daughter was born. Cass talks pregnancy and birth during covid as well as making the decision to be a stay at home mom after serving in various roles in early childhood development and care in Butte. For statewide resources please visit the Linking Infants and Families to Supports athttps://hmhb-lifts.org/

Brains love evidence, plans that make sense, & pubmed citations. Of course, data can be great. Except when it's not there. Depending on data can also limit you. When we only create based on what already exists, we get stuck creating more of the same. We don't allow ourselves create something entirely new; we don't allow ourselves create something entirely better. This week I teach how to leave room for the magic. I share three stories of how leaving space for the magic created BETTER results. Story 1: My goal was to create $100,000 my first year of coaching. At month 10 I had created $55,000. My brain wanted to give up because there was no sensible way to create $45,000 in 2 months at the rate I was going. AND I did it anyway because I learned to leave room for the magic. Where are you holding yourself back because you don't have proof? Telling yourself you can't have your dream because it's impossible? In this week's show, I teach that you CAN get to your desired result without the evidence. If you're creating something entirely new, you actually are REQUIRED to create without any evidence. It will require more of yourself than quitting. Quitting is easy. Becoming the person who never quits on herself is POWERFUL. It will require you to go off course when there is no well marked path. You will create your own path. Your path will be better. It will require you to steer your brain back to possibility when life feels impossible. It will require you to trust yourself more than numbers. It will require you to dig deep and find brilliant solutions, new ideas, and possibility. All of this is in you already. You are ready. Click the button below for How to Leave Room for the Magic. PS For more on Magic-- an all new training is coming in February: People Pleasing ZERO. Make a plan and then leave room for spirit to show up and make it easier for you. –Julie Hannon How do you manifest your life? How do you show up for the sacred? These are some of the questions Julie Hannon addresses in her work. Julie is a shamanic healing arts practitioner, and both a member and teacher in FLOW365. She works with clients one-on-one, teachers people to live a shamanic life, and she mentors other people doing healing arts. Julie talks about what work-life balance looks like when you recally center or prioritize life and spiritual practice. She says she's always thinking about where her joy is. As part of the discussion, we rethink the work week and time off. For Julie this includes recognizing Thursday as a sacred day of showing up for your work, to learn, and for celebration. We talk about having a clear vision. Julie shares her experiences of not always knowing how things will happen, and instead trusting spirit. Imagine that things will work and letting things be easy. We talk about: Asking what business needs and what you need, because both need attention for things to flow Listening to your body and energy. Julie says: if I don't feel energized and excited about something, then it's not the right time. Meditation and dreaming and asking spirit for help This is part of a series where we will be highlighting the work of some FLOW365ers. I ask each one, what are three pieces of advice from your expertise that you know will serve the Plan SImple audience. Because they know the process so well and are part of the audience, their pieces of advice are so valuable! Julie's three pieces of wisdom: NOURISH YOURSELF SO THINGS CAN FLOW. Eat well and stay hydrated. It affects sleep and fuels your work. Don't forget to do the things that nourish you — like seeing friends or being by water for Julie — too. SCHEDULE YOUR LIFE AND SPIRITUAL PRACTICES FIRST. We talk about scheduling in FLOW — putting things into time. Julie starts with set events in her business (a weekly meditation on Sunday and Sacred Circle on Thursday, for example), and then schedules her own practices (swimming and meditation) before clients. What would happen if you put yourself on your calendar first? START WITH YOUR VISION. Start with a vision or dream. What do you really want? What would your life look like? You don't have to know how to get there to get really clear on the vision. Meditate on your vision or dream. Allow space for it. BIO Julie Hannon is a shaman and a teacher, committed to helping you discover yourself, your joy, and the beauty in life. Julie is passionate about connecting with people and helping each and every one discover their own special strengths and gifts. This practice is the doorway on the first step of your journey. Libby talks about the costs of operating your time, energy, and attention at full capacity by default, and why it's worth considering intentionally having more downtime to recharge and also so that you have some room to push if there's a need or crisis.
