Often, the group that tries to be all things to all people is going to fail. So, is the managed Security Service of the future going to be more about subcontracting and strategic partnerships? On this week's show, we're joined by Mark Ledlow and Patrick Kane to look at the way in which physical security/EP fits squarely in the managed security service of tomorrow. As we dig into this, we'll be asking: How has corporate security modernized over the last two years? What new offerings are we seeing? Are we starting to see a greater appetite at a corporate level for protective intelligence over an executive protection program? In an integrated solution with cyber colleagues, could physical security become the eyes and ears on the ground for a joint Intel group? What vital skill are security managers searching for that protectors are missing from their resumes? Turn the page: We are now well into August and everything is in the bank for the Boston Celtics and the NBA. Last season is now last season and this past summer is now last summer. The NBA schedule has now been released and it's now about looking forward to the 2016-17 NBA season. Kristen Ledlow of NBAtv and Turner Sports is back on the broadcast to talk about the biggest takeaway from the new schedule: The Boston Celtics are featured on national TV 22 times. Wow! That certainly provides plenty of discussion for the show. Does that Al Horford addition really make that much of a difference? Can the Celtics really be considered as a (gulp!) dark-horse title contender? Kristen also gives a rundown of which games she is most looking forward to for the 2017 NBA's regular season. It's all on this wee's Celtics Beat. Brought to you by Blue Apron, audiblepodcast.com/celtics, Casper, and American Farmer's Network. After a rough stretch of a lot of losing, the Boston Celtics are seemingly back on track. Yes, they missed a golden opportunity to really establish themselves as one of the better teams in the Eastern Conference, but the Celtics were at a point where there season could've gone ary. However, the season has been a little stale. The lack of improvement from last year, while not crippling in any sense of the imagination, to the franchise is still agitating to the fans. If fans are a little frustrated with the lack of improvement thus far, it may be best to check out CSNNE's series on the 1986 Boston Celtics. LHR will get some brief words with Skip Perham from The Network. Consider this a therapy edition of Celtics Beat. To continue in that mold, we haven't gone Around the NBA in 5 recently. So why don't we go Around the NBA in about 20? Or better yet, just discuss the two teams that are on a head-on collision to decide the Larry O'Brien trophy (and possibly in January!) - the Golden State Warriors and San Antonio Spurs. We are a week away from what is gearing up to be one of the biggest regular season games in memory, and NBATVs and Turner Sports Kristen Ledlow will stop by for her maiden voyage on Celtics Beat.
