First Responders and Military Personnel hold a heavy place in our hearts and minds; and 9/11 is certainly no exception. In this episode two of our very own first responders, Sam and Nick, sit down to reflect on one of the most tragic days in American history. They discuss the gravity of that event and the lasting effects we can still see in the first responder community over two decades later. Sam and Nick talk about what it is like being on that red line today, the truthfulness of the job, first responder mental health and trauma, and more. Finally, we do bring it all back to hunting and the outdoors by talking about the benefits of outdoor therapy, and what the therapeutic effects of hunting can do for hard working Americans. This is a sincere episode, meant to stir the hearts and minds of American Outdoors Men and Women. Downsizing is one with mental trauma. Unemployment is particularly difficult for those going through it the first time. Being unemployed requires appropriate coping mechanisms and in the ideal scenario, the person in transition successfully embraces it and thrives during the perceived chaos. Unemployment can be a great gift when people leverage the time, and urgency to recognize how to level up their skills in an applied way, but also to volunteer in their community to build more expansive networks. Community. Entrepreneurship. Business. This trifecta is everything, particularly when one is in transition. Heather Ann --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/projectlightitup/message
