In deze aflevering gaat Bastiaan Wallage, advocaat en associate partner Zorg & Sociaal domein bij Van Benthem & Keulen, in op het Persoonsgebonden Budget (PGB) en hoe het PGB zich verhoudt tot het contracteren van zorg.Om de kosten in de zorg beheersbaar te houden, willen zorgverzekeraars, zorgkantoren maar ook gemeenten steeds vaker zorg afnemen van gecontracteerde zorgaanbieders. Bij gemeenten loopt bepaalde zorg via het persoonsgebonden budget, het PGB, dat inwoners van gemeenten kunnen krijgen. Met het PGB kunnen inwoners zelf bepalen bij wie zij die zorg afnemen. Gemeenten willen tegelijkertijd dat die zorg bepaalde kwaliteitsstandaarden haalt. Hoe kunnen zorg inkopende patijen, zoals gemeenten, grip houden op de kosten en de kwaliteit van zorg? Onlangs deed de Centrale Raad van Beroep een uitspraak over hoe het PGB zich verhoudt tot het contracteren van zorg. In deze podcast ga ik in gesprek met Sima Daoud, oprichtster van de Stichting IQ+.Nadat ik een moeder aan de telefoon had gehad die steeds maar weer in multidisciplinaire overleggen zat, maar waarbij er (met alle gevolgen van dien) niets geregeld werd voor haar zoon, opende ik LinkedIn. Ik zag daar een post van Sima, waarin zij ook haar frustratie uitte over soortgelijke situaties.Via deze podcast hopen we het bewustzijn bij beleidsmakers en andere betrokkenen te vergroten dat het onderwijssysteem, dat we in Nederland gezamenlijk hebben bedacht, voor veel hoogbegaafde leerlingen niet passend is. Het beleid past vaak niet bij de praktijk, waardoor het realiseren van een aanbod dat echt bij een kind past werkelijk een uitdaging wordt.De gevolgen kunnen groot zijn. Kinderen ontwikkelen bijvoorbeeld leerproblemen, een angststoornis, een depressie of trauma. Ook voor gezinnen zijn de gevolgen vaak enorm. Veel ouders moeten stoppen met werken, komen in de financiële problemen en de emotionele belasting op gezinnen is onvoorstelbaar.Daarnaast zijn er bovendien veel leerkrachten die kampen met de gevolgen. Ze voelen zich wanhopig worden, omdat ze zo graag passend onderwijs zouden willen bieden voor alle kinderen in de klas, maar de klassen te groot zijn en ze vaak niet de hulp en ondersteuning geboden krijgen die ze hiervoor nodig hebben. Het gevolg? De gouden mensen binnen het onderwijs geven het op en kiezen voor een andere baan....Door een breed bewustzijn te creëren, dat passend onderwijs voor hoogbegaafde kinderen geen luxe is, maar pure noodzaak en dat de gevolgen indien dit uitblijft enorm kunnen zijn, hopen we dat dit uiteindelijk lijkt tot begrip. En dat vanuit dat begrip een gezamenlijke, broodnodige, verandering kan starten. Want het kán! Bovendien blijkt dat de implementatie van het systeem, dat begin 2018 klaar zou zijn, opnieuw vertraging heeft opgelopen. #12.  Notre Dame's sarcophagi have started revealing their secrets!  The two men found during the restoration have intriguing  connections but couldn't be more different.  Learn more about the mysterious knight and the wealthy churchman in this episode of Paris Gone By!  Note: Throughout the episode and the show notes, I refer to the first sarcophagus as Le Chevalier or The Knight. Technically the INRAP scientists nicknamed him Le Cavalier or The Rider—I misspoke in the episode. But I do believe he is likely a knight, based on the evidence at hand, so I'm going with it. Deze keer ben ik in gesprek met een Jeugdconsulent, en wel van de gemeente Emmen! Ze heet Jacqueliene en werkt inmiddels 4 jaar op die plek.  Ze is verantwoordelijk voor het vinden van de passende hulpverlening voor kinderen, jongeren, gezinnen die om wat voor reden hulp nodig hebben rondom de ontwikkeling van het kind. Daar komt hoogbegaafdheid soms natuurlijk ook bij kijken! En ze weet daar privé inmiddels ook het één en ander van...Jacqueliene vertelt over hoe het nu reilt en zeilt bij gemeentes in het algemeen en bij de gemeente Emmen in het bijzonder. Want eerlijk? Voor een buitenstaander die aanklopt voor hulp is het soms net een oerwoud. Wie doet wat? Welke regels gelden er voor leerlingenvervoer en een PGB bijvoorbeeld? PGB football host, Paolo and wannabe football wizard and enthusiast, Justin are back at it again! They discuss and elaborate on the England squad dilemma that Gareth Southgate currently faces. The discussion takes a turn towards two big hitters, Italy and Portugal, who failed to qualify automatically for the World Cup and now find themselves in the playoffs competing for the last three European places.
