Lumière sur Contes et Histoires, un rendez-vous incontournable des vacances d'hiver, porté par le Centre des monuments nationaux depuis plus de vingt ans et qui invite petits et grands à vivre la magie des fêtes au cœur du patrimoine. Dès samedi 20 décembre jusqu'au 4 janvier 2026, une cinquantaine de monuments à travers la France proposent un programme culturel festif et féerique, mêlant contes, spectacles, ateliers et visites participatives. En Bourgogne-France-Comté, trois lieux participent à cet évènement : en Saône-et-Loire, l'Abbaye de Cluny, dans le Doubs, la cathédrale de Besançon et son horloge astronomique et en Côte d'Or, le château de Bussy-Rabutin. L’association La Chahutte, association d’éducation populaire dans le clunisois, https://lachahutte.fr, développe un projet appelé Porteuses de paroles slamées. Régulièrement, les 2 animatrices se retrouvent dans un espace public, par exemple le samedi matin pendant le marché de la ville de Cluny, avec un thème. Des « slogans » interpellent les passantes et les passants sur le thème. Une des animatrices interroge celles et ceux qui le veulent sur le thème et recueille leurs « paroles » qu’elle inscrit sur une feuille qui est immédiatement affichée sur une banderole visible par tous et toutes. Le dispositif permet d’animer le débat public autour de thèmes variés, de partager des approches et des compréhensions différentes entre les personnes qui s’expriment et qui lisent les paroles affichées. Pour accompagner ce dispositif, Le Monde qui vient a enregistré les paroles dans l’espace public autour du thème du mois de Novembre 2025, la solidarité que La Chahutte a mené en partenariat avec le Réseau social et Solidaire de Cluny. S’en dégage une diversité d’expressions, de ressentis, de priorités que nous partageons avec vous dans ce podcast.

Lumière sur Sylvain Bauduret, illustrateur et scénariste de bande dessinée, originaire de Cluny, en Saône-et-Loire, qui vient de signer le premier tome de sa série « Le Monde Sauvage » aux Éditions de la Gouttière, une série animalière muette pour sensibiliser les plus jeunes à l'impact de l'humain sur la nature. Il s'est associé au photographe animalier Yoann Thionnet pour réaliser cette série dont le premier tome est consacré au renard roux, ce dernier pourrait bien devenir votre meilleur ami comme dans Rox et Rouky de Disney. They will not come to mind (Isaiah 65:17). Amen.Bernard of Cluny was a Benedictine monk in the 12th century. The verses of "Jerusalem the Golden" are a minute portion of a three-thousand-line poem written in meter form. Bernard of Cluny's poem was a bitter satire on the fearful corruptions he saw in the year 1145. He contrasted those corruptions with the magnificent glories of what heaven will be like for God's saints. This hymn gives the opposite of what we see and experience.What are we seeing and experiencing? The National Guard has been deployed to multiple violent cities like Washington, D.C., Portland, and Memphis. The United States government has been shut down for several weeks. Food pantries are being flooded with requests. Aggressive protests have been in various places.Over 7,000 Nigerian Christians have been killed by Muslims the past few weeks. Slaughters like this upon Christians have been going on for a long time. President Trump is the only president in my lifetime who has called attention to this slaughter. More than that, he's willing to put American military might behind his statement to put an end to this massacre.Here are some stories you may not have heard of. Last week, several infected monkeys escaped in Mississippi. A mom shot one to protect her kids. An American father and teen son were stung to death by Asian hornets while ziplining in Laos. A logger in Malaysia was trampled by a herd of elephants that attacked their camp. He survived with two broken legs. But while he was recovering in the hospital tent, the bull elephant returned and trampled the logger to death.All of this serves to remind us that we are no longer in the perfection of Eden anymore. Sin infects our hearts and affects our lives continually. We daily feel God's curse upon humanity and nature because of Adam and Eve's fall in the Garden.That's why we Christians are more comfortable and confident in the future than we are in the present. The present is filled with uncertainty in our elected officials. There is doubt about our safety with the violence in our streets. We cry out at the deaths of so many Christians. We know that the end of time must be near as evidenced this last Sunday when the Packers lost to the Panthers and the Vikings beat the Lions."Jerusalem the Golden" proclaims this confidence in the future. Please open to this hymn in your Supplement so you can follow along. You'll be spared. I'll be reading the verses … not singing them."Jerusalem the golden, with milk and honey blest." This is a beautiful picture of what the Israelites would find when they entered the Promised Land of Canaan. Our Promised Land is heaven."The sight of it refreshes the weary and oppressed." We have been living in the desolation and desert of this sinful, barren wilderness. We are worn out and weary. We are oppressed by a culture that hinders the vocal expression of our faith. But we are excited and refreshed to come home to heaven.Here in church we receive a foretaste of our heavenly home. This is where heaven meets earth. The pillars of Jerusalem the Golden are based within the Christian churches of earth. Here in worship is the place where we can feel at home. We are refreshed in the words of absolution as our sins are forgiven. We are washed clean once again in the baptismal waters of our youth. It is at the font where we have God's Triune name placed on our foreheads (Revelation 22:4). We hear the voice of Jesus and behold his face in the Scripture readings. We physically dine with our fellow earthly saints as we eat Christ's sacramental meal. We spiritually dine with our fellow heavenly saints around Christ's banquet table as we come to the Lord's sacramental feast. We receive the peace of God's threefold benediction."I know not, oh, I know not what joys await us there, what radiancy of glory, what bliss beyond compare." This is not a neutral place that Christ has won for us. It is full of bliss and glory. We cannot know what joys await us there. We cannot even begin to imagine what heaven is like – perfection, holiness, without sin. We have tastes of it in absolution and Communion. But we cannot fully understand or appreciate it until we arrive in the new heaven and new earth. There in the New Jerusalem, "the wolf and the lamb will feed together, and the lion will eat straw like the ox" (Isaiah 65:25)"To sing the hymn unending with all the martyr throng, amidst the halls of Zion resounding full with song." The halls of Zion are Jerusalem. Jerusalem was the holy city. It was where God was. God was in the temple. God's temple on earth is the Christian Church. We gather together here in church as the halls of Zion. Christ in us and us in Christ – a mystical union. Our house is not our home. Our church is our real home on earth. This is where we feel most at peace and at rest. For we are with the saints at Lord of Lords. Even more than that, our voices are joining with the martyr throng of saints that have already gone home to heaven. Our combined voices shake the halls of Zion."Oh, sweet and blessed country, the home of God's elect! Oh, sweet and blessed country That eager hearts expect." As patriotic Americans, we love this country. But we are citizens of a sweeter and more blessed country. We are God's elect - chosen in eternity to be with God for eternity.Revelation 22 is the fitting conclusion for the events of Genesis 3. Because of the Fall, humanity was driven out of the Garden and the Tree of Life was barred by the angel with the flaming sword. But God promised to send the seed of the woman to destroy the serpent and to bring the blessing of life once more to dead and dying humanity, to remove the curse brought by sin. That promise was kept when the woman's Son came into the world to destroy the power of the Ancient Serpent.We see that promise fulfilled in Jerusalem the Golden. As St. John writes, "Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb down the middle of the great street of the city. On each side of the river stood the tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, yielding its fruit every month. And the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations.No longer will there be any curse. The throne of God and of the Lamb will be in the city, and his servants will serve him" (Revelation 22:1-3).In the Garden of Eden, a river went out to water the garden. In the New Jerusalem, John sees a river watering the inhabitants of the city. The river of life flowing out from the throne reminds us that the source of our salvation is not to be found in anything we have done or merited. The sole source of our salvation is God, not just any god, but that God who has prepared his salvation for us through the Lamb, who now sits with him on the throne.The Tree of Life is transplanted on either side of the river. The tree is no longer in a garden but in a city. Because of sin, Adam and Eve never got to eat from the Tree of Life. Now, because of what Jesus accomplished on the barren tree of the cross, we will be able to eat from the Tree of Life for all eternity. Its fruit bestows immortality. Its leaves serve to heal the nations. "No longer will there be any curse" (Revelation 22:4). Cancer, broken hips, torn up knees – Jesus provides healing. The appearance of the tree and river help show that the end will be like the beginning … only better."Where they who with their leader have conquered in the fight forever and forever are clad in robes of white." The pierced Lamb sitting on his throne is holding his captain's flag. This is an apocalyptic war. Here on earth, we are part of the Saints Militant – we are saints at war – at war with our sinful nature, at war with Satan and his demonic horde, at war with the enemies of the gospel. But in heaven we will become a part of the Saints Triumphant – our sinful nature will be gone, Satan will have been hurled down into the abyss once and for all, and the enemies of Christ will be locked up in their hellish prison. The curse of sin that we feel in this world will be gone once and for all (Revelation 12:3).The saints are clad in robes of white. We will wear our white baptismal gowns for eternity. We are pure. We are sacred. We are holy. The only reason why we will be able to stand before a holy God and see his face (Revelation 22:4) is because Christ has made us holy in baptismal waters."Jesus in mercy bring us to that dear land of rest where sings the host of heaven your glorious name to bless." Jesus should bring us to the hellish land in his justice. Instead, he brings us to his dear land of rest in his mercy. It is because of this mercy that we will join in singing to the Lamb for eternity. We often think that we are silenced upon our death. Not so. We will join with the martyr throng. As Christ's martyrs, sometimes our voices are louder and remembered longer after our death. But that means we need to be speaking loudly and boldly as pastors, parents, and grandparents to the next generations."The Christ is ever with them; the daylight is serene. the pastures of the blessed are ever rich and green." Jesus died outside of Jerusalem. He was the sacrifice. He died in the darkness so that there is no more darkness. He is the light of the world so there is no need for the sun in heaven. "There will be no more night. They will not need the light of a lamp or the light of the sun, for the Lord God will give them light" (Revelation 22:5). The pastures are ever rich and green. The tree of life produces twelve crops of fruit, one crop each month. We will be well fed and refreshed."There is the throne of David; and there from care released, the shout of them that triumph, the song of them that feast." The King is coronated on the throne of David. Jesus is crowned with thorns. The cross is Christ's glory. In suffering we see God's true glory. Jesus was hanging naked on the tree so that he is now robed in glory for eternity. It is because of Christ's suffering, wounds, and death, that we can inherit this New Jerusalem. It is ours already right now. But it is only when we finally arrive in Jerusalem the Golden will we be released from all cares – free from sickness, sin, death, the devil.That's why we have shouts of triumph. We are with our Leader. There at the throne of David, our Leader is coronated as the King over all creation. The one who reigns and his feet are resting upon the earth."To God enthroned in glory the Church's voices blend, the Lamb forever blessed, the Light that knows no end." The Church's voices blend – all saints of all places and all times. Not a church confined to Casper. But the Christian Church that combines heaven and earth. We join with the saints in singing praises to the Lamb upon his throne. It is one long continuous liturgy – it is the work of the people in praising God; it is the work of God in being present among his people.This morning, instead of private confession, take the time for private praise. Bow your head and praise God for inviting you into Jerusalem the Golden.Private praise."Jerusalem the Golden" is an ancient hymn that has found new life in our churches. There are two versions of this hymn in the new hymnal. We'll sing another version next Sunday. We'll use this hymn for festival services and Christian funerals. It is a hymn that comforts and consoles, while at the same time proclaiming and professing our faith.It is a faith that announces that we Christians are more comfortable and confident in the future than we are in the present. Isaiah, Revelation, and "Jerusalem the Golden" all together proclaim our confidence in the future. Because our future is with the Lamb on his throne gathered with the saints triumphant in Jerusalem the Golden. Amen.Rejoice and celebrate forever, because of what I am creating. Watch this! I am about to create Jerusalem to be a source of gladness, and her people will be a source of joy (Isaiah 65:18). Full Text of ReadingsThe Commemoration of All the Faithful Departed (All Souls) Lectionary: 668The Saint of the day is Commemoration of All the Faithful DepartedThe Story of the Commemoration of All the Faithful Departed The Church has encouraged prayer for the dead from the earliest times as an act of Christian charity. “If we had no care for the dead,” Augustine noted, “we would not be in the habit of praying for them.” Yet pre-Christian rites for the deceased retained such a strong hold on the superstitious imagination that a liturgical commemoration was not observed until the early Middle Ages, when monastic communities began to mark an annual day of prayer for the departed members. In the middle of the 11th century, Saint Odilo, abbot of Cluny, France, decreed that all Cluniac monasteries offer special prayers and sing the Office for the Dead on November 2, the day after the feast of All Saints. The custom spread from Cluny and was finally adopted throughout the Roman Church. The theological underpinning of the feast is the acknowledgment of human frailty. Since few people achieve perfection in this life but, rather, go to the grave still scarred with traces of sinfulness, some period of purification seems necessary before a soul comes face-to-face with God. The Council of Trent affirmed this purgatory state and insisted that the prayers of the living can speed the process of purification. Superstition easily clung to the observance. Medieval popular belief held that the souls in purgatory could appear on this day in the form of witches, toads or will-o'-the-wisps. Graveside food offerings supposedly eased the rest of the dead. Observances of a more religious nature have survived. These include public processions or private visits to cemeteries and decorating graves with flowers and lights. This feast is observed with great fervor in Mexico. Reflection Whether or not one should pray for the dead is one of the great arguments which divide Christians. Appalled by the abuse of indulgences in the Church of his day, Martin Luther rejected the concept of purgatory. Yet prayer for a loved one is, for the believer, a way of erasing any distance, even death. In prayer we stand in God's presence in the company of someone we love, even if that person has gone before us into death. Dzień ten miał być przeciwwagą dla pogańskich obrządków czczących zmarłych. W Polsce tradycja Dnia Zadusznego z końcem XV wieku była znana w całym kraju. Śladem zaduszkowych zwyczajów podążają Cezary Jastrzębski i Robert Szumielewicz. 

Sono giorni, questi, in cui si va nei cimiteri che sono luoghi di incontri, di ricordi, di curiosità e anche di scoperte e conoscenze storiche tanto che vi sono molte persone che durante i loro viaggi fanno visita ai campisanti in quello che viene definito “cimiturismo”.Numerosi artisti, scrittori e scienziati hanno scelto il Ticino come luogo di vita, di lavoro e di riposo: le loro tombe, ancora oggi visitate, testimoniano il loro legame con la regione. Mare Dignola, autore del libro Incontri tra i cipressi del Ticino, racconta queste sorprendenti presenze nei cimiteri ticinesi. Douglas Sirk a Castagnola, Hermann Hesse a Gentilino, Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli a Pura, Alfredo Foni a Breganzona, Paulette Goddard e Erich Maria Remarque a Ronco sopra Ascona, Alessandro Moissi a Morcote, Gisela Andersch a Berzona, Cesare Thomson a Lugano, Jean Arp a Locarno e l'elenco potrebbe continuare. Sono artisti, scrittori, scienziati che hanno vissuto in Ticino e hanno scelto di rimanere da noi anche dopo la morte. Parecchi di loro hanno vissuto con discrezione nei nostri Comuni. Ma le loro tombe, anche in piccoli cimiteri, ci ricordano il loro vissuto, le loro opere, la loro presenza. Altri hanno raccolto consensi internazionali e, ancora oggi, le loro tombe sono meta di visite di estimatori.Dai cimiteri della Svizzera italiana ai piccoli cimiteri italiani di cui si è occupato, Claudio Visentin che ha scritto un libro “Passeggiate nei piccoli cimiteri” per riflettere sul tempo, sulla morte e sulla vita. La commozione per una persona cara, l'empatia per uno sconosciuto, la curiosità per una frase, una scritta, un epitaffio o una fotografia su una lapide o su una tomba. Andar per piccoli cimiteri consente di immergersi in un silenzio diverso, vuoto eppure pieno. Chi ha tracciato i sentieri e le strade? I morti. Chi ha dato il nome ai paesi? I morti. Chi ha costruito le case e le chiese? I morti. Chi ha disegnato le forme dei campi registrate nel catasto? I morti. Chi ha stabilito leggi, regole di convivenza, usi e costumi quotidiani? I morti. Nei piccoli cimiteri di campagna e di paese, e ancora più nei poetici cimiteri abbandonati, specie lungo tutto l'Appennino, i morti sembrano più presenti dei vivi; la morte fa meno paura, il dialogo fra le generazioni passate e presenti si mantiene a lungo e ogni cimitero ha una storia da raccontare. Dai cimiteri al significato odierno della festa di Ognissanti e della commemorazioni di tutti i defunti con uno sguardo antropologico: se la morte è certa, il modo di affrontarla è un tema dei vivi e, in quanto tale, muta a seconda dei contesti, delle culture, delle tradizioni e delle usanze dei singoli Paesi. L'antropologia ci insegna che sono molti e diversi i modi in cui le comunità affrontano l'esperienza universale della morte. L'idea di ricordare in un'unica ricorrenza tutti i morti risale al secolo IX grazie all'abate benedettino sant'Odilone di Cluny. Il significato è quello di pregare per le anime di tutti coloro che ci hanno preceduti nel segno della fede e si sono addormentati nella speranza della resurrezione e per tutti coloro dei quali solo Dio ha conosciuto la fede. I primi giorni d'autunno, dunque, per chi sa guardare e ascoltare sono l'occasione per andare dentro e oltre le storie di famiglie e di personaggi, più o meno famosi o più o meno sconosciuti, i cui nomi e cognomi si ritrovano anche nei cimiteri, appezzamenti di terra molto concreti ma allo stesso tempo carichi di simboli e significati su paesi, comunità e persone.Sono ospiti:Sara Zambotti, giornalista della RAI e docente di antropologia al Politecnico di Milano,Mare Dignola, autore del libro “ncontri tra i cipressi del Ticino (Fontana Editore, 2024),Claudio Visentin, autore del libro Passeggiate nei piccoli cimiteri (Ediciclo Editore, 2023), docente di Storia del turismo all'Università della Svizzera italiana, scrittore e saggista.

L'exposition « Le Moyen Âge du XIXe siècle. Créations et faux dans les arts précieux », présentée du 7 octobre 2025 au 11 janvier 2026 au musée de Cluny – musée national du Moyen Âge, explore cette histoire artistique qui a contribué à façonner notre regard sur l'art médiéval.Après les événements révolutionnaires, le XIXe siècle cultive une rêverie romantique emplie de nostalgie médiévale et connait d'importants progrès technologiques. Les grandes collections d'objets médiévaux se constituent alors. Ce siècle aime et s'inspire du Moyen Âge en produisant des copies, des pastiches, des oeuvres composites et des faux. L'exposition propose des confrontations, mettant en regard certains objets médiévaux avec leurs « résonances » du XIXe siècle.Le propos est centré sur les arts précieux, dans leur acception médiévale : pièces d'orfèvrerie et d'émaillerie, ivoires, tissus précieux. Ces domaines bénéficient au XIXe siècle de redécouvertes techniques. Ces phénomènes culturels et artistiques émergent dès les années 1820-1830 jusqu'à la veille de la Première Guerre mondiale, soit pendant un siècle environ. Collectionneurs, ateliers de création et de restauration, mais aussi faussaires, en sont les principaux acteurs, autour d'un marché de l'art en pleine expansion, en particulier à Paris, qui apparaît alors comme la capitale des arts précieux.Le parcours de l'exposition s'articule en quatre sections principales. Il met d'abord en lumière les objets médiévaux devenus modèles, à travers leur étude par le biais de publications, relevés et dessins. Quelques-uns deviennent même des objets iconiques, souvent copiés comme le ciboire d'Alpais ou l'ange de Saint-Sulpice-les-Feuilles. En parallèle, des techniques médiévales d'arts précieux sont redécouvertes ou remises au goût du jour.La seconde partie est consacrée au rôle déterminant des collectionneurs dans la constitution des premières grandes collections d'art médiéval, qu'elles soient privées ou publiques. Elle évoque notamment celle d'Alexandre Du Sommerard, à l'origine du musée de Cluny, ou celle d'Alexandre Basilewsky, le « roi des collectionneurs », qui possédait des oeuvres d'art et curiosités telles que la corne d'élan de Saint-Arnoul aujourd'hui conservée au Rijksmuseum d'Amsterdam.La troisième section explore les créations dans le goût du Moyen Âge, qu'il s'agisse d'imitations fidèles, de pastiches ou d'objets composites combinant différents styles, aussi bien dans le domaine religieux que profane. Lumière sur l'association Chemin de Cluny Franche-Comté Bourgogne, en Saône-et-Loire, association qui a mis en place le site viacluny.fr, un itinéraire de randonnée reliant les sites clunisiens de Suisse, de Franche-Comté et de Bourgogne à Cluny, cité historique et touristique de Bourgogne du sud. L'association organise des randonnées tout au long de l'année, et pour cette rentrée elle propose une randonnée pédestre autour de Brancion, en Saône-et-Loire, le 11 septembre. Nous découvrons le parcours avec Marie-Jeanne Lambert, secrétaire de l'association chemin du Cluny Franche-comté Bourgogne.

TESTO DELL'ARTICOLO ➜ https://www.bastabugie.it/8237SAN GREGORIO VII CI INVITA A LASCIARE IL QUIETO VIVERE E A COMBATTERE di Roberto de Mattei Nel maggio del 1085, 1040 anni fa, morì il Papa San Gregorio VII, Ildebrando di Soana (1030ca-1085), il più grande riformatore del suo tempo e anche uno dei più grandi Papi della storia.Ildebrando, malgrado la sua riluttanza, fu eletto al soglio pontificio il 29 aprile 1073, a sessant'anni di età. Così egli si esprimeva appena eletto: "Voglio che voi sappiate fratelli carissimi che siamo stati posti in tal luogo da essere costretti, volenti o nolenti, ad annunciare la verità e la giustizia a tutte le genti, soprattutto alle genti cristiane, poiché ha detto il Signore: grida, non stancarti di gridare, leva la tua voce come una tromba e annuncia al mio popolo i suoi delitti".Gregorio VII affrontò di petto i mali morali del suo tempo. Pochi mesi dopo la sua elezione, nel 1074, convocò a Roma un Concilio e vi fece approvare due importanti decreti: il primo contro i preti trasgressori della legge sul celibato, il secondo contro la simonia; inviò quindi da ogni parte legati e lettere, imponendo ai vescovi di tenere concili dove promulgassero e facessero osservare tali decreti. In un secondo concilio nel 1075 condannò l'investitura laica dei vescovi.Per Gregorio esisteva uno stretto nesso tra la simonia e la politica delle investiture. I pubblici poteri (imperatore, re, duchi e conti) infatti designavano i prelati, ne imponevano la scelta e talvolta li creavano consegnando loro il pastorale o l'anello, insegna dei loro uffici religiosi. Obiettivo di Gregorio era quello di ripristinare la dignità e l'indipendenza dell'episcopato, opponendosi all'investitura laica da parte dell'imperatore o di altri poteri secolari.MATILDE DI CANOSSA Si ribellarono al Papa l'imperatore Enrico IV, il clero di Germania e quello di Lombardia. Gregorio citò Enrico a comparire in Roma, in un dato giorno, con minaccia di scomunica se egli avesse mancato. Allora Enrico convocò un Concilio contro Gregorio a Worms e si accordò con il prefetto di Roma, Leucio, per destituire il Papa. Leucio, nella notte di Natale del 1075, entrò con i suoi armati in Santa Maria Maggiore, dove il Pontefice celebrava una cerimonia, lo strappò dall'altare ferendolo nel capo e lo fece prigioniero. Ma il popolo poche ore dopo liberò il Papa. Gregorio adunò un nuovo Concilio (1076) nel quale solennemente scomunicò Enrico e dichiarò i sudditi di Germania e di Italia sciolti dal giuramento di fedeltà, scrivendo però ai principi tedeschi che non abusassero della scomunica contro il Re, ma cercassero di farlo ravvedere.La sentenza del Papa fu un colpo terribile per la causa di Enrico in Germania. Molti dei signori a lui soggetti gli si ribellarono e convocarono una dieta per nominargli il successore. Enrico allora, visto il pericolo, scese in Italia per riconciliarsi con il Papa (1077). Gregorio, che si era mosso da Roma per recarsi in Germania per assistere alla dieta di Augusta, saputo del viaggio di Enrico in Italia, da Mantova, dove si trovava, si portò a Canossa, nel castello della contessa Matilde, a lui fedele. Era il mese di gennaio. Gregorio, all'inizio, si rifiutò di ricevere Enrico, ma questi giunse al castello di Canossa, camminando a piedi nella neve, rivestito di una tunica di lana grezza. Il Papa nutriva diffidenza verso quel pentimento così improvviso, ma la contessa Matilde e l'abate Ugo di Cluny implorarono il Pontefice di non ricusare le suppliche di un penitente. Dopo tre giorni di attesa, il 28 gennaio (1077) Enrico venne ufficialmente ammesso alla presenza del Papa, perdonato e assolto dalla scomunica.Dopo circa sette secoli da che l'Imperatore Teodosio si era inginocchiato penitente di fronte al vescovo Ambrogio di Milano, un nuovo imperatore si inginocchiava di fronte all'autorità religiosa della Chiesa. Ma il pentimento di Enrico IV, a differenza di quello di Teodosio, non fu sincero. Il sovrano non rimase fedele alle sue promesse e nonostante gli fosse stata vietata dal Papa l'incoronazione come re d'Italia, si fece coronare e prese le armi contro Rodolfo di Svevia che intanto era stato eletto imperatore in sua vece dai principi tedeschi.IL DICTATUS PAPAEGregorio VII reagì con fermezza rivendicando la sua autorità. Egli sintetizzò la sua posizione nel Dictatus Papae, una raccolta di sentenze che mostra le relazioni che devono esistere fra il Sacro Romano Impero e il Papato. Si aprì una guerra tra i fedeli dell'imperatore e quelli del Papa.Gregorio trovò appoggio in Matilde di Canossa, una donna straordinaria, di stirpe longobarda. Suo marito era stato assassinato e Matilde era rimasta sola a governare un vasto Stato, nel centro dell'Italia, di cui, non avendo eredi, fece dono a Gregorio nel 1079, in aperta sfida con l'imperatore. Enrico IV convocò a Bressanone un Concilio, in cui fece deporre il Papa e decretò Matilde deposta e bandita dall'impero. Il sovrano tedesco scese quindi su Roma e assediò il Papa in Castel Sant'Angelo. Gregorio fu deposto e l'antipapa Clemente fu intronizzato solennemente al suo posto. Il giorno di Pasqua (31 marzo 1079) Enrico, insieme con la moglie Berta, ricevette la corona imperiale dall'antipapa. Il principe normanno Roberto il Guiscardo accorse in aiuto di Gregorio VII, ma il saccheggio della città a cui si abbandonò il suo esercito provocò la reazione del popolo che, sobillato dalla fazione contraria al Papa, si sollevò in armi.Gregorio, protetto dalle armi di Roberto il Guiscardo, fu costretto a fuggire e si recò in volontario esilio a Salerno, dove rinnovò la scomunica contro Enrico e l'antipapa Clemente e poco dopo morì, il 24 maggio 1085. Fu canonizzato nel 1606 da papa Paolo V e le sue spoglie sono venerate nel Duomo di Salerno.Si dice che le sue ultime parole furono: "Dilexi iustitiam, et odivi iniquitatem, propterea morivi in exilio", riecheggiando quella del salmista: "Amasti la giustizia e odiasti l'iniquità, perciò ti mosse il Signore con l'oblio della letizia dei tuoi pari" (Salmo 44, 9).La vita di san Gregorio VII ci insegna molte cose. Vorrei intanto sottolinearne una. Il Papa, come Gesù Cristo di cui è Vicario, è sempre stato segno di contraddizione dentro e fuori la Chiesa. La vita di Gregorio VII fu una lotta continua. Qualcuno pensa che nel Medioevo, o in altre epoche, i cristiani potessero vivere disinteressandosi di ciò che diceva e faceva il Papa. Non è così. Nel Medioevo, come in ogni epoca storica, tutti i cristiani, anche i più semplici furono chiamati a rendersi consapevoli delle lotte che la Chiesa affrontava e a dover scegliere tra un Papa e un antipapa, tra un Papa e un imperatore, assumendosi davanti a Dio le responsabilità della propria scelta. La vita del cristiano, come quella della Chiesa, è lotta, e non ci si può sottrarre a questa lotta, limitandosi a seguire l'insegnamento e i riti della Chiesa, senza prendere parte alla battaglia che essa combatte ogni giorno contro i suoi nemici interni ed esterni.

Mettre la farine dans un saladier. Faire une fontaine et ajouter le sel, l'huile et les œufs. Mélanger, puis ajouter la levure délayée. Pétrir jusqu'à ce que la pâte devienne souple et ne colle plus. Couvrir le saladier et laisser doubler de volume environ 1h30 dans un endroit tiède.  Étaler la pâte sur un plan fariné sur une épaisseur de 0,5 mm et la placer dans une tourtière beurrée. Piquer la pâte à la fourchette. Étaler la crème fraîche sur la tarte. Découper le maroilles en fines tranches et les disposer sur la tarte. Poivrer. Mettre la farine dans un saladier. Faire une fontaine et ajouter le sel, l'huile et les œufs. Mélanger, puis ajouter la levure délayée. Pétrir jusqu'à ce que la pâte devienne souple et ne colle plus. Couvrir le saladier et laisser doubler de volume environ 1h30 dans un endroit tiède.  Étaler la pâte sur un plan fariné sur une épaisseur de 0,5 mm et la placer dans une tourtière beurrée. Piquer la pâte à la fourchette. Étaler la crème fraîche sur la tarte. Découper le maroilles en fines tranches et les disposer sur la tarte. Poivrer. I suppose we all remember the house, or houses, we grew up in. Where we learned to walk, or first explore the garden, or climb some stairs. Most houses are quite small. Some are quite big. Maybe Cosmo would have wanted to become an astronaut, or a rock star. Sadly, he never really got the choice. Virginie Girod vous raconte l'histoire de cette star du XVe siècle, un peu oubliée ! Un récit inédit en partenariat avec le musée de Cluny, à Paris, qui accueille l'exposition Les arts en France sous Charles VII, du 12 mars au 16 juin 2024. Si la France du XVe siècle subit les ravages de la Guerre de Cent Ans, les arts ne sont pas délaissés pour autant. On est en plein dans ce qu'on appellera plus tard le gothique international. Quand Jean Fouquet naît à Tours, l'effervescence artistique vient notamment des peintres "primitifs" flamands. On attribue au peintre Jan Van Eyck la création de la peinture à l'huile au début des années 1430. Parfaitement initié à cette technique, ce n'est cependant pas suffisant pour Jean Fouquet. Il part travailler en Italie où se déroule une autre révolution artistique : la Renaissance Italienne, le Quattrocento ! Le peintre y fréquente l'un des plus grands artistes de son temps, Fra Angelico, surnommé le "peintre des anges". Quand Jean Fouquet rentre en France, il se fait vite un nom d'artiste virtuose. Les commandes affluent, y compris au sommet de l'État. Vers 1450, le roi Charles VII lui commande son portrait. Jean Fouquet innove : personne avant lui n'avait peint un roi de France d'une manière aussi réaliste ! Le tableau servira de modèle pour les artistes après lui. Évidemment, après le roi, les aristocrates veulent aussi se faire peindre par Fouquet. Vous connaissez forcément la Vierge et l'enfant sous les traits d'Agnès Sorel qu'il a réalisé pour le trésorier du roi. Après cette commande, Jean Fouquet est définitivement devenu le peintre de la cour de France.
