60. Dan Abbott: What is the Militia's Role in America? Feds for Freedom stands for freedom of speech and is dedicated to providing every individual, both citizens and government employees, a platform to express their views. The views expressed do not necessarily represent the views of Feds for Freedom. This week on The Feds, we speak with Dan Abbott about the historical role militias played in the United States, their Constitutional protections, and how they are currently being viewed by the US Government. It is a controversial issue, but topically relevant given recent legislative action. It is worthy of open discussion, and we hope you find this interview valuable. Dan Abbott is a Virginia National Guardsman and Commander of the Campbell County Militia. After a targeted article was written about Dan and his wife in Military.com, which labeled him as an extremist, the National Guard opened an investigation on Dan, although he has been noted as an exemplary National Guardsman. We discuss the recent DOD Directive 5240.01 as well as the introduced Congressional bill, Preventing Private Paramilitary Act of 2024. Space Power: A National Guardsman's View On Why A Pentagon Plan Is A “Lose-Lose Proposal” Last week Air Force Gen. Steven Nordhaus assumed responsibility as the 30th Chief of the National Guard Bureau, inheriting a politically thorny issue: a piece of legislation that, if passed into law, would transfer Air National Guard space units into the Space Force. This episode is about why some, possibly upwards of 80 percent, of the men and women who make up these units will not join the Space Force, which could leave the branch short of some critical capabilities. Laura Winter speaks with Lt. Col. Andrew Gold, Director of Strategic Plans, Colorado Air National Guard, and a space operator, who recently finished a deployment to Africa commanding the 138th Electromagnetic Warfare Squadron.
The Chinese Communist Party is America's enemy. It explicitly seeks the destruction of our country. We've just learned that Democratic vice presidential candidate Tim Walz was paid by the CCP to arrange as many as thirty trips to China for himself and young, impressionable American kids. Former CIA undercover operative Sam Faddis – who used to recruit and run spies for America – describes Walz as a valuable “access agent” for Chinese intelligence. Walz began his intimate association with Communist China when he was a National Guardsman assigned to a nuclear artillery unit. He has since worked with various CCP influence operations here, including one the State Department says is “aimed at exerting direct and malign influence on state and local leaders to advance China's global agenda.” Sam Faddis believes “the Great Walz of China” is a mortal threat to us all. Do you? This is Frank Gaffney.
In Missouri, deputies responded to a late-night call from a teenager who claimed he shot and killed his father. Down in Florida, law enforcement responded to a reported shooting outside of a home in Pensacola. In Utah, a National Guardsman failed to show up for work, prompting officials to report him missing. As investigators dove into the missing man's life, they found he was going through a lot of personal struggles.Consider joining PLUS+ at swordandscale.com/plus

On this episode of FreepCast we talk about the only thing anyone's talking about this week: the ascension of our humble coach, teacher, National Guardsman, congressman, governor and now vice presidential candidate: the affable Tim Walz. We also get the inside scoop from photographer Casey Ek on what it's like to photograph a dramatic court hearing.
Today, Vice President Kamala Harris and her new running mate, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, hit the road to rally support after last night's electrifying campaign kickoff in the City of Brotherly Love. The dynamic duo energized a crowd of over 12,000 supporters in Philadelphia, with Harris challenging former President Donald Trump to meet her on the debate stage, calling out his policies as outdated and dangerous. She passionately vowed to fight for affordable health care, child care, and fundamental freedoms, igniting chants of "we're not going back." Walz shared his heartfelt story of public service from his time as a National Guardsman to his years as a high school teacher, promising to bring those values to the White House. With cheers echoing through the arena, the Harris-Walz ticket is now set to take their message to key battleground states. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Mexico's war on drugs refers to the ongoing conflict and efforts by the Mexican government to combat drug trafficking organizations operating within the country. The war on drugs in Mexico gained significant attention in the mid-2000s and has since resulted in widespread violence, human rights abuses, and social unrest. The roots of Mexico's drug war can be traced back to the 1980s and 1990s when drug cartels, mainly based in the northern states, began to grow in power and influence. The cartels, such as the Sinaloa Cartel, Gulf Cartel, and Juarez Cartel, engaged in drug trafficking, organized crime, and corruption, posing a significant threat to Mexico's stability and security. The conflict escalated in 2006 when then-President Felipe Calderón launched a military-led crackdown on the drug cartels, deploying tens of thousands of troops across the country. This marked the official beginning of Mexico's war on drugs. The government's objective was to dismantle the cartels, reduce drug-related violence, and restore public order. However, the intensified enforcement actions had unintended consequences. The aggressive approach led to a surge in violence as the cartels resisted the government's efforts, resulting in a cycle of retaliatory attacks, massacres, and the targeting of law enforcement officials, politicians, and journalists.Innocent civilians have also been caught in the crossfire, leading to a significant loss of life and widespread human rights abuses. The drug war has exposed systemic issues within Mexico, including corruption within law enforcement agencies and the government, weak institutions, and socio-economic disparities. It has also fueled the growth of criminal organizations and the expansion of their activities beyond drug trafficking, such as extortion, kidnapping, and human trafficking. In this episode, we hear about a troubling new tactic used by the cartel that injured 8 Mexican national guardsman.(commercial at 7:17)to contact me:bobbycapucci@Protonmail.comsource:Car Bomb Explodes In Mexican City Amid Escalating Cartel Turf War (latintimes.com)Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-epstein-chronicles--5003294/support.

Real Estate Investing With Jay Conner, The Private Money Authority
In the latest episode of the Raising Private Money podcast, Jay Conner sits down with Tim Benskin, a former Marine and National Guardsman turned real estate investor, to delve into the world of raising private money for real estate. Tim has successfully transformed his approach to property investments by leveraging private money—a strategy that offers an alternative to the lengthy and often frustrating process of traditional bank financing. For those looking to break into the real estate market or further their existing endeavors, Tim's journey offers invaluable insights and actionable advice.Raising Private Money: Tim Benskin's JourneyTim Benskin's foray into real estate wasn't without its challenges. Initially, he faced setbacks with traditional bank financing, which ultimately led him to explore alternative avenues. Through mentorship and strategic networking, Tim discovered the power of private money. Today, he has raised over $500,000 in private funds and is working on securing an additional $200,000.Key Highlights:Tim's first major deal was funded entirely by private money secured via personal relationships, including contacts from his church community.Use of promissory notes and mortgages recorded with the county to ensure security for lenders.Protecting lenders by naming them on the insurance policy for purchased properties. The Mechanics of Securing Private LendingTim's approach to securing private lending is both structured and transparent, focusing on ensuring the lender's protection and trust. Here's a breakdown of how he makes it work:1. Promissory Notes and Mortgages:All loans acquired by Tim are secured via legally binding promissory notes and mortgages, which are recorded with the county. This ensures that all transactions are not only formalized but also provide legal protection to the lender.2. Insurance Policies:Tim goes a step further by including lenders on the insurance policies of the properties he buys. This ensures that lenders enjoy the same protection as a traditional bank would.3. Attractive Interest Rates and Loan Terms:He offers highly competitive interest rates of 8% on first-position loans and 10% on rehab money. This, coupled with interest-only payments and conservative loan-to-value ratios, makes his program irresistible to investors seeking safe yet profitable avenues for their money.Success through Networking and EducationAfter retiring from the military, Tim plans to focus on networking and hosting luncheons to attract more private money for his real estate ventures. He emphasizes the importance of education, not just for oneself but also for potential lenders. The Power of Mentorship:Tim credits his mentors for helping him develop his strategies and gain the confidence to invite potential lenders to hear about private money. These mentors provided him with the roadmap to success, allowing him to bypass many of the common pitfalls novice investors face.Case Study - 210 Skylark Drive:One of Tim's notable successes is the property at 210 Skylark Drive. Purchased for $110,000 with a minimal renovation cost of $17,000, this property had an after-repaired value of $360,000. Post-renovation, Tim was able to secure a gross profit of $50,000—an impressive feat made possible through private lending.Educating and Empowering New InvestorsTim is passionate about sharing his knowledge and empowering others to succeed in real estate. He offers education on private funds and self-directed IRAs through luncheons and presentations, demonstrating how individuals can earn high rates of return safely and securely.Live Events and Resources:Moreover, Tim encourages new investors to attend live events hosted by Jay Conner. These events are designed to provide in-depth knowledge and a practical understanding of h

Pleasure Muse: Gloria Richardson Tantalizing Trivia She was a Civil Rights activist who led The Cambridge Movement in the 1960s. Honored for her leadership, she sat on stage at the March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom in 1963. She grew up in Baltimore but was from a prominent family - of landowners, lawyers, and politicians - from the eastern shore of Maryland, who were free before the Civil War. Gloria's father, John Hayes, died of a heart attack due to segregation which required him to drive further for medical attention - this was a turning point in her life. She attended Howard University and started social activism against segregation. During her early activism, Richardson was arrested three times. In 1961, SNCC and The Freedom Rides came to her hometown of Cambridge, Maryland. She and her two daughters got involved in the movement. In 1962, Richardson was asked to help organize the Cambridge Nonviolent Action Committee (CNAC), the first adult-led affiliate of SNCC. She was a passionate and fiery spokesperson who never minced words and always spoke truth to power as one of the only female leaders of a civil rights organization. She was brave: rather than asking for civil rights, she asked for economic rights, and she publicly questioned nonviolence as a tactic. The students – including her daughter – were committed to nonviolence and were attacked by mobs of armed white people. Subsequent freedom walks and sit-ins included armed black men who surrounded the students for protection; clashes escalated. During protests in 1963, Richardson was photographed pushing aside the bayonet and rifle of a National Guardsman; the picture went viral in the media, and she became an icon of the movement She signed a peace treaty with Robert F. Kennedy and local officials after an uprising in Maryland for civil rights. On Thursday's Mark Levin Show, the Pentagon classified document leaker story doesn't smell right. This doesn't mean that Jack Teixeira didn't do it or wasn't involved, it means we should wait a few days and not rush to judgement on this case. Sometimes it pays to wait and watch the story develop more. How did a 21 year old National Guardsman get access to the information? It's hard to trust the same instiututions who are going after Donald Trump – they have a habit of misleading the American people. When all the information comes out and if he is guilty, its treasonious. Meanwhile, President Biden has been busy, working to destroy our country. Offering healthcare for illegal immigrants, extending funds without legislation and no one blinks an eye from the Democrat party - because the ends justify the means. Also, is Sen Micth McConnell finally going to retire? He's said he will show up to work on Monday but there's a big difference between showing up and doing actually work. Then, there's the issue of when Sen Dianne Feinstein will resign? Democrats want Feinstein to resign because they have radical leftsists ready to take her seat. Just as Republcians have RINO's ready to take McConnell's seat. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices

Join Jim and Greg as they serve up two bad martinis and a crazy one. First, they react to how some on the right are characterizing the National Guardsman accused of leaking top secret documents as a hero. They also vent about the IRS imposing a far lower standard for requiring a 1099 form when you are paid for work over apps like Venmo, Zelle, or PayPal. And they scratch their heads as former Vice President Mike Pence is expected to draw "implicit" contrasts with Donald Trump over the Second Amendment at this week's NRA annual leadership meeting. Pence's road to the nomination is virtually impossible to see as it is. On Monday's Mark Levin Show, we bring you the best of Mark Levin! July 4th, 1776 didn't just happen it was carefully planned. A lot of blood was spilled to achieve independence from England. There were protests and then massacres over taxation. In the Spring of 1774, following the Boston Tea Party, laws were passed to pay for the housing of British soldiers and demand restitution for the lost tea. Next, the British planned to take the gun powder of the militiamen and this led to Paul Revere's famous midnight run warning that "The red coats are coming!" which set off the Revolutionary War. Later, the Democrat party doesn't support Roe v. Wade, what they really favor is infanticide. Americans must push back. Dishonest ideologically driven people who've taken over the Democrat Party want to take over this country by insisting that they destroy our Constitution and whatever they disagree with. Then, high school football Coach Joseph Kennedy was vindicated by the Supreme Court after he was fired for saying a prayer during high school football games. The Supreme Court ruled that this was not a government establishment of religion and that Kennedy's first amendment rights were being violated by the school. Justice Sotomayor, like many others, misunderstood Jefferson's call for a separation between church and state; the phrase appears in a letter he wrote, not in the Constitution. Incidentally, Jefferson was not at the Constitutional convention he was in France, and this very concept of the "separation between church and state' was later advanced by a lawyer for the KKK. Finally, former Pentagon Chief of Staff, Kash Patel, calls in to explain that he witnessed Trump, in the presence of the Sec. of Defense, authorized up to 20,000 National Guardsman to the Capitol which was declined by the Mayor of Washington DC and the Capitol Police and reported in the recent timeline released by the DC Metropolitan Police. Patel reiterated that the Oval Office is a SCIF (Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility) and that Cassidy Hutchinson was not even authorized to attend such a meeting let alone have access to any intelligence coming from it. Patel has submitted his testimony to the committee although the committee was not interested in publicizing his transcripts. Happy 4TH of July! Learn more about your ad choices. On Tuesday's Mark Levin Show, the left's attack on Donald Trump is really an attack on America and each and every one of us. The airwaves are filled with leftwing reporters and former federal prosecutors distorting the notion of what truth really is. The rationale for a surprise emergency January 6 hearing doesn't add up. Cassidy Hutchinson (the J6 Committees witness) claimed that Trump lunged toward the agents driving him on January 6th. But Secret Service agents have come forth and said that Trump never lunged for the steering wheel of the Presidential limo and are prepared to testify under oath. Afterward, former Pentagon Chief of Staff, Kash Patel, calls in to explain that he witnessed Trump, in the presence of the Sec. of Defense, authorized up to 20,000 National Guardsman to the Capitol which was declined by the Mayor of Washington DC and the Capitol Police and reported in the recent timeline released by the DC Metropolitan Police. Then, 50 people died being smuggled in a tractor near the southern border. How many more people have died crossing the border while Biden has been president? Yet the hellish border remains open and people will continue to enter the country, some dying along the way, while Biden's Administration sits on its hands. Later, Congressman Lee Zeldin calls in with an update on his campaign for Governor of New York. Zeldin reiterated the need to get rid of the Cuomo-Hochul legacy this November. Finally, South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem joins the show to discuss her new book, "Not My First Rodeo: Lessons from the Heartland." https://www.amazon.com/Not-My-First-Rodeo-Heartland/dp/1538707055/ref=sr_1_1?crid=1X65FSWRY960M&keywords=kristi+noem&qid=1656436125&sprefix=kristi+noem%2Caps%2C94&sr=8-1 Noem added that her dad was a tough cowboy and taught her the work ethic that she has today. After her dad died and the family was hit with death taxes she got into politics. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices
