In the year since Tatsu Dallas became the first — and currently only — North Texas restaurant to receive a star, Michelin has loomed like a shadow in the background of daily life for Tatsu and Hiroko, who oversees front-of-house operations for the restaurant. The pressure to perform at the highest level is ever-present. In other news, the search for a stolen pickup carrying stoves and refrigerators led Dallas police last week to arrest four people who are accused of stealing several vehicles and dismantling them for parts; the Dallas Mavericks claimed their first victory of the season in a 139-129 rout of the Raptors on Sunday. Rookie Cooper Flagg led the Mavericks with a career-high 22 points along with four rebounds, four assists and a block; and if you thought pickleball was the hottest social sport in Dallas right now, it's time to learn about padel. Texans will likely pronounce the sport's name like paddle, though some in other parts of the country say it as puh-DELL. Whatever you choose to call it, Dallas' first facility dedicated to the fast-growing racket sport Padel is set to open in the Design District in 2026. Learn more about your ad choices. In this live stream podcast, we discuss the Mavs' 139-129 victory over the Toronto Raptors for their first win of the 2025-26 season. We talk about the impact D'Angelo Russell getting extended minutes had on the Mavs offense and how it opened up the floor for Cooper Flagg, PJ Washington, and others. We also talk about how the Mavs looked their best when either Anthony Davis or Dereck Lively manned the center position, and how the frontcourt tandem of both was not as productive. We also discuss Cooper Flagg's growing confidence, which led to his 22-point game, including several thunderous dunks. We conclude by previewing tomorrow's game against the defending NBA Champion Oklahoma City Thunder and what the Mavs will need to do to compete with them. This is a public episode. On Thursday's Mark Levin Show, there was a major FBI bust of an illegal sports betting scheme involving four NBA teams (Charlotte Hornets, Portland Trail Blazers, Los Angeles Lakers, Toronto Raptors) and four mafia families (Bonanno, Gambino, Genovese, Lucchese), netting over $7 million. The NBA Has a problem, people need to have faith in the game. This is a massive blackeye for the NBA. Also, those who say that Israel will never annex the West Bank (Judea and Samaria), have no idea what's taking place in the West Bank. Israel will do whatever it chooses to do. The recent Knesset vote on annexation was initiated by the left to divide conservatives and the administration. If Judea and Samaria don't belong to the Jews, who does it belong to? Shiloh's history proves Judea and Samaria as ancestral Jewish homeland is crucial to Judaism and Christianity. Later, Zohran Mamdani got his butt kicked at the NYC debate. He's a sloganeer, which is typical of Marxists, but he won't be substantive at all. Afterward, Obamacare is a lie focused on centralization and control rather than affordability, leading to loss of civil liberties, restricted benefits, and second-rate care where patients can't access desired doctors, hospitals, or medicines. It's just like socialist systems in Canada and Britain, from which people flee to the US for better care, yet Democrats aim to mimic them. Democrats caused the government shutdown to maintain and expand Obamacare subsidies and reinstate benefits for illegal aliens, refusing reforms and relying on media to blame Republicans, ultimately destroying Medicare, Medicaid, and employee insurance by inflating healthcare costs. Finally, a Daily Mail article predicts Christianity's decline as America's majority religion amid Islam's rise. U.S. was founded on tolerant Judeo-Christian values fused with Enlightenment, rejected by Marxists and Islamists. This ideological clash threatens free society's survival. BT and Sal break down the absurd moment from the NBA gambling press conference where the U.S. Attorney, in a tough-talking, cliché-ridden statement, mistakenly referenced the "Toronto Rangers" instead of the Toronto Raptors. The hosts blast the "corny ass cliches" and point out the irony of the Feds' pursuit of integrity being undermined by their own lack of accuracy. The segment segues into a serious discussion on the real threat of gambling: the integrity of the sport—not the gambling itself—and why it's so hard to stamp out the fix when the temptation is always there.

According to new intelligence reports, the Chinese Communist Party, often in coordination with Russian operatives, is exploiting professional networks like LinkedIn to target American engineers, defense contractors, and innovators. 9:30 Plus, we cover the Top 3 Things You Need to Know. Democrats blocked bills today that would pay US Military members and other government employees who have been affected by the Democrat government shutdown. New York Mayor Eric Adams is endorsing former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo to be the next mayor of the nation's largest city. An Illegal alien driving an 18 wheeler is being accused of killing three people. 12:30 Get Brain Reward from Victory Nutrition International for 20% off. Go to vni.life/agr and use the promo code AGR20. 13:30 Socialist Zoran Mamdani is leading the New York City mayor race. But how can an anti-semitic Hamas sympathizer be winning in a city with the largest Jewish population outside of Israel? And should Curtis Sliwa stay in the race despite the polls? 17:00 We got a question in for our American Mamas — Teri Netterville and Kimberly Burleson. They tackle a viral comment from former White House press secretary Jen Psaki, who claimed that Usha Vance—the wife of Vice President J.D. Vance—is a “prisoner who needs to be saved.” The mamas don’t hold back, calling Psaki’s remark ridiculous, bitter, and proof of lingering “Trump Derangement Syndrome.” If you'd like to ask our American Mamas a question, go to our website, AmericanGroundRadio.com/mamas and click on the Ask the Mamas button. 23:00 In a moment that no one saw coming, Bernie Sanders just sounded more like Donald Trump than a democratic socialist. The self-proclaimed “godfather of the modern left”—who once hailed open borders as a moral imperative—has now admitted that Trump handled immigration better than Joe Biden. 25:00 We welcome back Ben Schettler, founder of the Center for Truth in Love, who’s taken his message of faith and reason into some of America’s most hostile environments.Following in the footsteps of the late Charlie Kirk, Shetler has been setting up open-forum booths on college campuses and in major cities—only to be met with anger, chaos, and even violence. We discuss the disturbing new normal in public discourse, where faith and facts are drowned out by emotion and intimidation. Shetler reveals evidence of paid agitators and pre-printed protest signs, raising serious questions about who’s funding the outrage. 32:30 Get Prodovite from Victory Nutrition International for 20% off. Go to vni.life/agr and use the promo code AGR20. 33:30 We break down the radical sanctuary policies threatening to turn New York City into a safe haven for criminal illegal aliens. From the ICE arrests in Chinatown to Zohran Mamdani’s calls to defund the NYPD, we're seeing the growing chaos of a system that protects offenders over citizens. 36:30 Plus, King Charles III met with Pope Leo XIV in Rome—marking the first meeting between the heads of the Church of England and the Catholic Church in nearly five centuries, and that's a Bright Spot. a closer look at this extraordinary encounter, tracing it back to Henry VIII’s break from Rome and the centuries-long divide that followed. What does this moment of unity mean for Christianity today? Is it merely symbolic, or a genuine step toward reconciliation between two of the world’s largest Christian traditions? 40:30 The NBA finds itself caught in a scandal that could shake professional sports to its core. The Department of Justice says team organizations had no direct involvement—but coaches and players are now under fire for allegedly sharing insider information tied to illegal gambling rings involving the Lakers, Hornets, Trailblazers, and Raptors. Trust is the lifeblood of professional sports. Once the trust is gone... the game is gone. The NBA needs to put it's foot down and say, "Whoa." Looks like it'll be a great couple of days to get outdoors and finish some projects before the really cold stuff makes it's way into the area. Speaking of weather, Tropical Storm Melissa was in the news this morning as it continues to strengthen. Also in the news, the wild announcement from the FBI yesterday about the NBA gambling scandal, an update on 3i/Atlas as it continues to make it's way towards Earth, and a Safe Haven Baby Box in Racine became the first in the state to get used. In sports, the Vikings got thrashed by the Chargers last night to kick off Week 8 in the NFL, a look at the rest of this weekend's schedule. The Bucks play in Toronto tonight against the Raptors and the game had to move tip-off up an hour because of the World Series getting underway. Badgers play tomorrow against #6 Oregon, and Aaron Rodgers is talking about retirement. Elsewhere in sports, Lionel Messi signs a contract extension, the Ravens are off to a really bad start and have removed all the fun stuff from their locker rooms, while the Angels are looking for an HVAC technician to fix their broken air conditioning! We talked about what's on TV this weekend and what's new in theaters. Plus, some new music releases to check out. Sticking with movies, another day…another list of Halloween films. This time around it's the top slasher movies of all time. Halloween is just a week from now and apparently, Trick-Or-Treating is losing ground to Trunk-Or-Treating.
