Two weeks ago the Federal Court determined the Trudeau government's invoking of the Emergencies Act violated Canadians' protections under the Charter of Rights and Freedoms. - Then questions were asked about the so-called COUTTS 4 who have remained held in pre-trial custody and without bail since February 13/14, 2022, after being arrested and charged at the Coutts, Alberta - U.S. border crossing, as truckers and farmers blocked the border while protesting federal Covid-19 mandates. The four men face charges of conspiracy to commit murder (police officers), possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose and mischief over $5,000. Lawyers have questioned whether the men's constitutional rights to engage in a fulsome defence of the charges against them have been violated. They had been scheduled to stand trial last June. This week, an Ontario Superior Court overturned and earlier court acquittal on a mischief charge against Allen Remley, a Freedom Convoy protester in Ottawa. Mr. Remley had been accused by police of operating a "mobile gas station," a children's wagon filled with jerry cans. He had also parked his truck illegally. There is a publication ban in place on goings-on in court concerning the Coutts 4. Second guest this half hour will address this issue. First guest: Betty Carbert, mother of one of the Coutts 4, Chris Carbert. A mother's experience as her son remains imprisoned for almost 2 years without bail. Second Guest: Doug King, criminal law professor at Mount Royal University in Calgary. We talk about being just days away from two years of pre-trial custody without bail for the Coutts 4, the constitutional right to a timely trial, absence of bail and what may lie ahead for these four men. The friend went to police, who set up a sting. The couple was in the midst of a divorce. In her filings, Remley says her husband held a gun to her head, threatening to kill her, and chased her around the house with a knife, trying to kill her. In the late 1940s and early 1950s the Phil Harris-Alice Faye radio series was a master class in radio comedy. Harris (charming, egotistical, smooth, Southern) and Faye (grounded, smart, and only occasionally the movie star) were surrounded by eccentric regulars like Elliot Lewis as Phil's band buddy Remley, and Walter Tetley as the little kid Julius - and each week the happy result could be heard in the gales of laughter from the live studio audience. Today, Harris is best remembered as the voice of Balloo the Bear in Walt Disney's Jungle Book, but former Bob Hope comedy writer Robert L. Mills fondly recalls the Harris-Faye radio shows of his youth, and has penned a pitch-perfect recreation for our coast-to-coast Project Audion cast to perform. We promise you a half-hour's classic entertainment! Our cast -- Pete Lutz (Phil Harris) JoAnne Kurman (Alice Faye) John Bell (Frank Remley) Bob Beaumont (Willie / Mr. Scott) Angela Young (Julius / Miss Bluecross / Customer) Ken Jeffries (Announcer) Robert L Mills (Druggist, Scriptwriter) Larry Groebe (Producer/Director)

California equestrian Tatyana Remley, is currently behind bars after allegedly attempting multiple times to hire hitmen to kill her estranged husband, Mark Remley. According to a statement from the San Diego County Sheriff's Department, Remley is charged with solicitation of murder and two weapons charges. She is currently being held without bail at the Las Colinas Detention Facility in Santee, California, and has pleaded not guilty to all charges. The Sheriff's Department launched an investigation into Remley's suspicious activities following a house fire at the ranch owned by the couple in Del Mar, California. Mark Remley claimed to The Coast News that Tatyana intentionally set fire to their home after he allegedly discovered her plan to kill him in early July. However, in the divorce papers filed in July, Tatyana stated that she and a friend were present at the time of the fire but were unaware of its origin. Mark also claimed that Tatyana offered a mutual friend $2 million to kill him. However, the friend declined the offer and informed Mark, who then reported the incident to the police, instigating a sting operation. The Sheriff's office confirmed that they summoned an arson unit to the fire scene, and Tatyana was initially arrested for alleged "firearms-related offenses" after officers discovered three firearms and ammunition on her. Following this, an investigation into her alleged murder-for-hire plot commenced after receiving information about her intentions. A month after the initial investigation began, Tatyana met with an undercover officer, believing him to be a hitman. According to the Sheriff's Department, "She provided detailed information on how she wanted her husband killed and his body disposed." Additionally, Tatyana brought three firearms and US currency as a down payment for the murder. The meetup and subsequent arrest occurred at a local Starbucks, as reported by The Coast News. The Coast News has extensively reported on the Remleys' high-profile business failures. In 2012, the couple ran a short-lived equestrian acrobatics show, which they discontinued after only four shows and over $100,000 of investments. They claimed the show was canceled due to poor ticket sales. However, this decision left dozens of performers unpaid and stranded, along with their horses. Some crew members stated that they had uprooted their lives to travel across the country and join the production, initially planned as a five-city tour. The Remleys married in 2011, and their relationship has reportedly been tumultuous in recent years, marked by numerous separations and reconciliations. The arrest of Tatyana Remley for allegedly attempting to hire hitmen to murder her estranged husband has sent shockwaves through the community. Hidden Killers With Tony Brueski | True Crime News & Commentary
Project Audion returns with some great laughs! Even if you don't recall Phil Harris, you would know his voice from Disney movies. But he was Jack Benny's radio bandleader for years, and then he and his real-life movie-star wife, Alice Faye, got their own spinoff radio series. In the late 1940s and early 1950s the Phil Harris-Alice Faye Show was a masterclass in radio comedy. Harris (charming, egotistical, smooth, Southern) and Faye ( grounded, smart, and only occasionally the movie star) were surrounded by eccentric regulars like Elliot Lewis as Phil's band buddy Remley, and Walter Tetley as the little kid Julius - and each week the happy result could be heard in the gales of laughter from the live studio audience. Former Bob Hope comedy writer Robert L. Mills was a fan of the show growing up, and has penned a pitch-perfect recreation for our coast-to-coast Project Audion cast to recreate! Today, I had the pleasure of talking with Lisa Remley owner of 2 St. Louis F45 facilities, and one in Tennessee as well. Lisa was vulnerable and shares with us briefly about her childhood and how it has impacted her as a parent. We talk about the importance being aware the influence our parents had on us not only as children, but how that influence still has a direct effect on how we parent today. Lisa has been in fitness for over 25 years and tells us about how she not only fell in love with exercise, but personal training as well. She and her husband ultimately transitioned to owning three F45 studios, which does personal training in group settings. Lisa explains the importance of exercise and how it is a necessity not a luxury. Taking care of our bodies is an absolute must for making sure we are our best selves for a long time. Lisa gives us simple tips on how to get started such as mindset, accountability, and making realistic/achievable goals. This conversation is so good. On Sunday April 2nd, 1950 at 7:30PM eastern time, The Phil Harris and Alice Faye Show took to the air over NBC. The Harris/Faye show peaked in December of 1948 with a rating of 26, but by this month it was down 8.5. Harris resisted taking the program into TV, as his wife Alice Faye remembered. Elliott Lewis' friendship with Phil Harris went all the way back to their days on Jack Benny's program. On that Sunday, the episode was called “Frankie's Flying Saucer.”
