U.S.-based financial services firm Fidelity Investments will allow investors to put bitcoin (BTC) into their 401(k) retirement savings accounts later this year. Employers could place a ceiling on the amount of savings earmarked for bitcoin, with the maximum cap expected to be no more than 20%. However, the move would allow several first-time investors to gain exposure to bitcoin without having to make a separate account on a crypto exchange. A 401(k) account is a company-sponsored retirement plan in the U.S. to which employees can contribute income while employers may match contributions. Employees get a tax break on the money they contribute, while contributions are automatically withdrawn from employee paychecks and invested in the funds of their choosing. Popular no-commission trading platform Robinhood ($HOOD) is cutting roughly 9% of its full-time workforce, CEO and co-founder Vlad Tenev announced in a blog post Tuesday afternoon. Tenev wrote that throughout 2020 and the first half of 2021, the company went through a period of “hyper growth” fueled by coronavirus pandemic lockdowns, low interest rates and government fiscal stimulus. Over that time period, staffing rose by almost six times from 700 to almost 3,800. Coinme allows users to buy up to $2,900 bitcoin with cash at around 21,000 Coinstar kiosks across the U.S. It's an alternative to buying and selling their bitcoin online popular among people who pay remittances. The kiosks, however, charge 4% in transaction fees – much higher than buying on the vast majority of online exchanges Paying with greenbacks comes with downsides. A reporter visited a local Coinme kiosk on Monday night to test out the service; the machine would not accept cash. According to Bergquist, Coinme's 100,000 customers generally visit a kiosk nine times a year; they purchase $600 on average. He noted that larger states drive higher sales volumes.

I was reading an article called “7 ways men make money without working” and I thought I would talk about it. Making money without working is tough to do, but there are a lot of ways to get it done. If you'd like like to learn more, please visit http://TheBlackWealthBootcamp.com. According to a recent survey by Northwestern Mutual, average personal savings are up over 10% compared to last year, from $65,900 last year to $73,100. Average retirement savings increased 13%, from $87,500 last year to $98,800 today. So there's that. Next let's look at investing — first stocks. It is not irrelevant to this narrative that the S&P 500 has climbed from 2,480 on March 12, 2020 — the day after the World Health Organization declared COVID a pandemic— to 4,441 today, or almost 80%. That's a huge gain. Much of the action of course has been retail investors and the meme stock boom, as millions of American males stuck at home with nothing to do all day for the past 18 months passed the time trading stocks. Credit Suisse estimates that since the beginning of 2020, “retail trading as a share of overall market activity has nearly doubled from between 15% and 18% to over 30%,” as CNBC reported. How many men were doing this and supporting themselves? Unclear, but upstart trading platform Robinhood (HOOD) — the broker dealer of choice for many of these new investors — reported that it had 22.5 million funded user accounts last month, up from 7.2 million in March of 2020. Let's just say 15 million new accounts is quite a number.

1. The stock market is the new Las Vegas.Robinhood (HOOD) was the most highly anticipated IPO of the year. The stock came public last week and today it surged as high as $85.00 a share. Please remember, the stock opened up at $38.00 last Thursday. This is now on the Reddit boards and has become the latest meme stock. Stay away if you are not a gambler as the stock has already dipped back to $64.00 a share. 2. ADP job report was released earlier today. The number was a big miss with 330,000 jobs added to the private-sector payrolls in July. The expectation was for 650,000 new jobs. Believe it or not, a weak number is actually bullish for the market because it gives the Fed a reason to keep the easy money policies in place. This Friday we will hear the non-farm payroll report by the Bureau of Labor Statistics. 3. Bitcoin hitting resistance at 40k. 41.4 was resistance. Let's see what happens in the next few days. Beware of $34.4k, if it closes below at any point4. Gold/Silver up slightly, started the day very strong and has now faded. It was up $18, but now up $1. Silver down very slightly. They've been very choppy since June, but they're hanging in there. Let's see where Friday.
