Finally in nerdcore, with Magikarp being a fellow Pokémon trainer, he joins EstoBro with criticizing the soon to be released Nintendo Switch 2 (47:45). After all the news from the April 2nd Nintendo Direct, we had to put out a bonus episode with our reactions and some of the additional information we've found about the Star-Crossed World upgrade for Kirby and the Forgotten Land, Kirby Air Riders, GameCube games on the Switch 2, and more. Who is this mysterious new Waddle Dee with a telescope in Star-Crossed World? Could Sakurai and Bandai Namco be bringing some of their sensibilities from Smash Bros. into Air Riders? And while the Switch 2 may be expensive, do the hundreds of dollars in rarer and pricey GameCube titles they're adding to the Nintendo Classics library make it an oddly affordable option for GameCube fans? In today's Daily Fix:Xbox has announced their big summer showcase, followed immediately by an Outer Worlds 2-focused Direct. And they just happen to line up on the final day of this year's IGN Live, so come join us for live coverage of the Xbox Showcase, and more! In other news, Hades 2 will be a timed console exclusive for the Switch 2. The game will also come to PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, but PlayStation and Xbox users will have to wait a bit. And finally, the Switch 2 GameCube controller might only work on GameCube Classics titles from Nintendo Switch Online. Bummer, if you were hoping to play Smash Bros. In today's Daily Fix:A popular patch for Bloodborne was hit with the DMCA copyright attack from Sony. The patch, which only runs on the emulated version of the game on PC, offered smooth 60fps gameplay—something fans have been clamoring for since the game was released back in 2015. So far, Sony has made no mention of any enhancements for the base game or a remaster for PS5 or PC, but this takedown notice has fueled some speculation that a remaster running at 60 frames is on the way. In other news, Forza Horizon 5 will be coming to PS5 later this year. This is the latest in a string of first-party Microsoft games that were once exclusive to Xbox now coming to PlayStation and Nintendo consoles. A Switch 2 port of the game is also rumored. And finally, WB's Smash Bros-like platform fighter MultiVersus is shutting down. Season 5 will be the final season for that game. The new season begins next week and will run through May, afterwhich online play will be disabled.
