In this episode, we explore the cult classic Halloween 3: Season of the Witch with guests Jake and Ian from Podcasty for Me. We delve into the film's unique narrative, which abandons the Michael Myers storyline in favor of a standalone horror tale. Despite its initial box office struggles, we argue for its imaginative depth, touching on themes of capitalism, technology, and corporate greed embodied by the character Conal Cochran.Jake shares his personal connection to the film, and we analyze how its eerie elements, such as the haunting jingle for the Silver Shamrock masks, reflect broader societal issues. Our discussion dives into the film's practical effects, dark humor, and standout performances, particularly from Tom Atkins and Stacey Nelkin. As we wrap up, we investigate the film's ambiguous ending and its lingering impact on viewers, encouraging audiences to embrace Halloween 3 for its creativity and unique place within the horror genre.Podcasty For Me:https://www.podcastyforme.com/https://www.patreon.com/PodCastyForMehttps://twitter.com/podcastyformehttps://www.instagram.com/podcastyformeLeft of the Projector Linkshttps://www.patreon.com/LeftoftheProjectorPodhttps://boxd.it/5T9O1https://leftoftheprojector.comhttps://instagram.com/leftoftheprojectorhttp://tiktok.com/@leftoftheprojectorpodhttps://www.threads.net/@leftoftheprojector
Happy Happy Halloween! Woody Allen?! Warum? Heute bei Murder/Kill/Antes!

Join hosts Laura and Phil as they review Halloween III: Season of the Witch (1982).This week we discuss the black sheep of the Halloween franchise, but did we miss the absent icon of the series, Michael Myers this time around? We also get into the bizarre business plan devised by high-flying, mask maker's Silver Shamrock. Which includes an incessant advertising campaign, and admittedly three very cool Halloween masks. Let's not forget the booze-chugging, Dr. Dan Challis. Welcome to SLASH - A Horror Movie Podcast! With our first season I am going to be watching and discussing all of the films from the HALLOWEEN franchise - starting with the original 1978 classic and ending (for now?) with the 2022 Halloween Ends. Movie: Halloween III: Season of the Witch Franchise: Halloween Date Released: October 22, 1982 Directed By: Tommy Lee Wallace Written By: Tommy Lee Wallace, John Carpenter (uncredited), Nigel Kneale (uncredited) Starring: Tom Atkins, Stacey Nelkin, Dan O’Herlihy, Kill Count: 9 --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/slashhorror/message
I had the esteemed honor and pleasure of speaking to the very impressive and spectacular Stacey Nelkin who portrayed 'Ellie Grimbridge' in John Carpenter's Halloween III: Season of the Witch. She spoke of her role and how she was excited to act in the movie (even though she is not a fan of horror) but still she performed exceptionally well. She also gave away some behind the scenes secrets of the special effects in her death scene (which was really cool to hear, by the way) and there is nothing better than practical special effects. Currently, Stacey is working as a substance abuse professional and Certified Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) helping those who are suffering from mental illnesses, giving back to the community and exhibiting as a role model. And for that, I have a lot more respect for her. Stacey is also a successful author for the book, "You Can't Afford to Break Up: How an Empty Wallet and a Dirty Mind Can Save Your Relationship" published in 2009. Overall, great interview and make sure to check out her short scene in Scott Goldberg's "The Forest Hills" where she worked alongside the infamous Shelley Duvall, Dee Wallace, and Edward Furlong. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/southjerseyhorror/message
I was a big fan of John Putch for many years...unfortunately this taping was ruined by a bad connection. I was able to save over a half hour of the interview, in which John and I discussed being on the Cold Turkey movie set; directing Dick Van Dyke thirty plus years later; appearing with his mom, Jean Stapleton on talk shows; first acting appearance on All in the Family; playing Bob Morton on One Day at a Time; the made for TV movie "Angel Dusted"; writing and directing the "Route 30" trilogy; "The Father and the Bear"; keeping a small batch of movie regulars; All in the Family trivia; his mom appearing on SNL; TV movies "You Had me at Aloha" and "A Holiday Spectacular"; directing Ann Margret; past and future guests Nat Bernstein, Charles Robinson, Jamie Rose, Jeff Kramer, and Stacey Nelkin

A review of 1982's Halloween 3: Season of the Witch starring Tom Atkins, Stacey Nelkin, and Dan O'Herlihy. Produced by John Carpenter, this chapter in the Halloween franchise is a wildly confusing mix of bad writing, shoddy FX, a low-budget, and an unlikable lead. Also, this movie doesn't feature the face of the franchise, Michael Meyers. Naturally. Plus, thoughts on the MCU's first (and long overdue) foray into the horror genre with Werewolf By Night and where it could lead, and more. Be sure to subscribe. Enjoy!

Halloween night in 1982 is going to be one for the record books, if the Silver Shamrock corporation has anything to say about it. Tom Atkins and Stacey Nelkin try and stop Dan O'Herlihy's dastardly plan. Oh, and Michael Myers has a cameo -- on TV. Grant joins us to talk about Season of the Witch, perhaps the most controversial entry in the Halloween franchise (and that's saying something!)
Wait, how many days until Halloween? Oh, good, there's a super-easy-to-remember-and-not-at-all-annoying jingle to keep the dates in mind. Once the disregarded afterthought of the "Halloween" franchise, "Halloween III: Season of the Witch" has become the cult curiosity it always deserved to be. No murderous Michael Myers in this one (unless you count a brief appearance for a commercial of the 1978 original film). Instead we have a "season of the witch," or more accurately, a supernatural/technological threat that has only a tangential relationship to "witchcraft." Shoot, the song "Season of the Witch" isn't here either, but look! Stonehenge! Goo-filled robots! Snakes coming out of mouths! "Season of the Witch" stars Tom Atkins as Dr. Challis and Stacey Nelkin as Ellie, but you might want to commit now to how Old Millennials Remember Movies hosts Tyler and Angela refer to them - It's "Schlubby Burt Reynolds/Tom Selleck" and "Lady," respectively. Anyway, Schlubby Burt and Lady are investigating the murder of Lady's father, a toy shop owner chased and killed by a rather robotic-looking henchman. He works for a toy manufacturer, Silver Shamrock, who happens to be selling this year's hottest item for kids - three generic Halloween masks! The advertising is relentless, and there's a big giveaway at 9 p.m. on Halloween night for all the kiddies to totally lose their heads over. "Season of the Witch" isn't scary, but boy howdy is it insane. Tyler and Angela delight themselves talking about all the weirdness, including Tyler's exploration of the film's still-timely themes (mass media is murder!) as well as his fascination with the film's numerous lingering shots of characters doing nothing. The Old Millennials also chat about the "Halloween" franchise as a whole, including a discussion on this year's latest entry, "Halloween Kills." Happy Happy Halloween, Hallo-ween, Hallo-ween! Happy Happy Halloween! Silver Shamrock! On this week's show, we battle through a cursed recording session to don our Silver Shamrock masks and talk about 1982's Halloween III: Season of the Witch! Where's Michael Myers? This week on Unorthodox, former guest Gavriel Savit joins us for a spooktacular Halloween episode. We talk about the Jewishness of Dune, William Shatner's mission to the moon, why some religious Jews don't celebrate Halloween, and more. Our Jewish guest is actor, author, and substance abuse counselor Stacey Nelkin, who starred in the 1982 film Halloween III: Season of the Witch. She joins us to reminisce about the critically panned cult classic. Our Gentile of the week is Carrie Harris, a fiction writer whose work features monsters, mayhem, and murder. She tells us why horror writing flourishes in uncertain times, and reads a passage from her new young adult book, Elder God Dance Squad, which she describes as ‘Stranger Things meets Bring It On.' Dara Horn, author of the new book People Love Dead Jews, and host of the podcast “Adventures with Dead Jews,” gets us in the holiday spirit with a reading of “The Dead Town” by Yiddish writer I.L. Peretz. (Translated by Helen Frank and Hillel Halkin, abridged and adapted by Dara Horn.) Listen to Liel on a special crossover episode of “People of the Pod,” discussing “How the Jews Went Right in Britain.” It's the first installment of “21st Century Europe and the Jews,” a four-part collaboration between Tablet and American Jewish Committee. Life is certainly full of a broad range of emotions as it’s part of the DNA or anatomy of being a human being. This accomplished actress currently assists others in “real-life” relationship issues, and she is well-known for her leading role in 1982 of the cult classic horror film Halloween III: Season of the Witch. However she has a diversity that she has been seen in full-length feature comedies as well as TV series such as Generations, CHiPs, The-A Team, Eight Is Enough, 1st & Ten and many more projects. Happy HalloOoOoOoOweEeEeeen! We’re celebrating the best holiday with Halloween III: Season of the Witch. Written and Directed by Tommy Lee Wallace and starring genre icon Tom Atkins and Stacey Nelkin, this entry to the franchise is entirely its own thing. It looks fantastic, the plot is really creative, it really shoots for the fences and definitely has a charm but its pretty inconsistent and lacks any real character development. We hope everybody has a safe and fun pandemic-ween!

Katie subjects Graham and Ashley to the 1982 cult classic Halloween III: Season of the Witch in Part 2 of our Spoooooky/Scarrryyy series. This bananas movie is the lone outlier in the Halloween franchise, where producers John Carpenter and Debra Hill tried to make a film without their canonical lead, Michael Myers. Starring the most amazing Tom Akins and the less-than-amazing Stacey Nelkin, this film counts down the days to Halloween with bitchin' masks, ritual sacrifice, Stonehenge, science fiction, conspiracy theories, killer SFX and very, very weird sex. Happy, happy Halloween! See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

Comer and Radulich put Halloween 3 - Season of the Witch, On Trial! Halloween III: Season of the Witch is a 1982 American science fiction horror film and the third installment in the Halloween film series. It is the first film to be written and directed by Tommy Lee Wallace. John Carpenter and Debra Hill, the creators of Halloween, returned as producers. Starring Tom Atkins as Dr. Dan Challis, Stacey Nelkin as Ellie Grimbridge, and Dan O'Herlihy as Conal Cochran, the story focuses on an investigation by Challis and Grimbridge into the activities of Cochran, the mysterious owner of the Silver Shamrock Novelties company, in the week approaching Halloween night. Halloween III is the only entry in the series that does not feature the series antagonist Michael Myers, nor does it include story elements from either Halloween (1978) or Halloween II (1981). In fact, it treats the first film and, apparently, its sequel as fictional films, as one of the characters watches a trailer for the original during the film; additionally, the film's tagline is a reference to the tagline from the original as well. It also departs from the slasher genre which the first two installments were part of, instead featuring a "witchcraft" theme with science fiction aspects and parallels to old Celtic fairy tales. Carpenter and Hill believed that the Halloween series had the potential to branch into an anthology series of horror films that centered around the night of Halloween, with each film containing its own characters, setting, and storyline. Director Wallace stated that there were many ideas for Halloween-themed films, some of which could have potentially created any number of their own sequels, and that Season of the Witch was meant to be the first of the anthology series.
