" **Sermon Summary:** The sermon centers on Christ's sovereign power over nature, as demonstrated in Mark 4:35–39, where Jesus calms a storm with a word, revealing His divine authority and compassion. In this study in Matthew chapter 8 verses 18 thru 27, Jesus makes two trips by boat.First, Jesus deals with a scribe and a half hearted disciple who wanted to follow Him, in verse 18 thru 23. Dr. Mitchell discourses on the motivations of these two would-be disciples while Jesus' disciples continued to follow Jesus.So where does Jesus lead these disciples? He leads them into a storm and they became afraid. But who did they turn to? They turned to Jesus in the midst of their storm. Do you and I do this when the waves get rough in our life? The Lord Jesus is here when we turn to Him and call on Him in our present distress. Entonces se encontró con un comerciante de su ciudad. Cuando este se enteró de que Stilling estaba sin dinero, le preguntó qué planes tenía para seguir adelante. —Tengo un Padre celestial que va a suplir todas mis necesidades —replicó Stilling. —Bien —dijo el comerciante, impresionado por su confianza en Dios—, yo soy uno de los mayordomos de tu Padre celestial. Aquí tienes treinta y tres dólares que te pueden ayudar. Cuando por fin Stilling se instaló en Estrasburgo, se quedó de nuevo sin dinero y tenía que pagar la matrícula de la universidad esa misma tarde. De nuevo oró al Señor. Pocos minutos después apareció el dueño de la casa donde vivía, no para cobrarle el alquiler sino para darle cuarenta dólares. Con ellos pagó su matrícula. Y así siguieron las cosas. Toda su carrera fue una serie de pequeños milagros. Después de graduarse, Stilling manifestó su gratitud a Dios convirtiéndose en uno de los más grandes benefactores de los pobres que el mundo haya conocido. Mediante una operación que inventó, devolvió la vista a miles de víctimas de cataratas, muchas de las cuales eran demasiado pobres para pagar. Tenemos un Dios que suple nuestras necesitades, ya sean estas escolares, de alimentación, emocionales o espirituales. With five different projects set to come out this year, Danish cinematographer Dan Stilling, DFF is finding fulfillment and pleasure in his career path. He's learned that even when working with a larger budget, you can figure out how to get the best out of very little with the right people and the right gear. As a teen, Dan played in a band and began to learn sound engineering. He got a job at a local TV station in Denmark as a sound technician and was inspired to become a Steadicam operator. After his training, Dan worked on a variety of TV shows. His first big break was working on the medical comedy Scrubs. He then transitioned from Steadicam operator to director of photography, which has informed Dan's style as a DP for framing shots. Over the years, Dan has explored many different genres: documentary, commercials, reality television, dramas, and comedies. He's found that as a cinematographer, you are asked for your opinion a thousand times a day, so it's important to have an informed opinion on everything you're responsible for. Dan was a huge fan of Andy Weir's book, The Martian. Once the movie started shooting, he was thrilled to be hired as the second unit DP. Additional photography in The Martian included footage of of the Kennedy Space Center at Cape Canaveral. Dan shot the launch of the Orion capsule and all the background plates at Kennedy, including a beautiful time lapse of the sunrise at Cape Canaveral.
