In this episode, Jessica speaks with Susan Morgan, Education Practice Leader at CannonDesign, about radically student-centered design in educational spaces. Susan shares her unique journey from participating in school design projects as a 10-year-old Montessori student to becoming an architect dedicated to creating learning environments that inspire curiosity. She discusses innovative projects including the Irman Crest Elementary School—a groundbreaking collaboration with the Children's Museum of Pittsburgh—and the ongoing Independence High School project. The conversation explores how buildings can become tools for learning rather than just containers for activities, and how exposing students to diverse opportunities through intentional spatial design can unlock their potential. Takeaways: Buildings as learning tools: Design schools that actively participate in learning, not just house it Start with "what if": Invite all stakeholders to reimagine possibilities before focusing on constraints Remove barriers to curiosity: Create environments that support natural learning instincts rather than limiting them Make opportunities visible: Use spatial connections so students are exposed to disciplines they might not otherwise discover Design for adaptability: Treat schools like museums—plan for environments to evolve with changing pedagogy and technology When learners thrive, communities flourish: This is the heart of radically student-centered design Learn More About Kay-Twelve: Website: https://kay-twelve.com/ LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/company/kay-twelve-com/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/kay_twelve/ Episode 304 of the Better Learning Podcast Kevin Stoller is the host of the Better Learning Podcast and Co-Founder of Kay-Twelve, a national leader for educational furniture. Somatic sex therapist Susan Morgan Taylor went from a sexless marriage where she felt shut down to awakening her own pleasure and desire, and now she's helped hundreds of other couples do the same. In this episode, she and Jenny explore that journey and what it takes to move from sexual disconnection to full aliveness and pleasure. This episode is a beautiful reminder that pleasure, love, and orgasm aren't something we receive from someone else—they're pathways that already exist within us, waiting to be cleared and reopened. Susan breaks down part of her Pleasure Keys Process and reveals the biggest obstacle blocking our pleasure: tension. She explains how tension in the body—at multiple levels—blocks the flow of arousal and desire, and what we can do to release it. Jenny and Susan also explore how broadening our definition of sex opens up more pathways to pleasure, the connection between birth and sexuality, and what it means to truly receive unconditionally and give from overflow. This conversation will leave you feeling inspired to reclaim your aliveness and step more fully into your pleasure. Topics include: Sexual disconnection + awakening to pleasure The Pleasure Keys Process for couples Tension as the biggest obstacle to pleasure Embodied living + P u s s y centered sexuality Pathways to desire + arousal Broadening your definition of sex Birth as an extension of sexuality Unconditional receiving + giving from overflow Selfish pleasure as a pathway to connection Moving from shutdown to aliveness   If you're ready to have Jenny personally support you in reigniting your desire, reconnecting to your pleasure, and actually wanting sex again, book your Intimacy Reignition Session now: [https://calendly.com/jennybraxton/intimacy-reignite] Connect with Susan Morgan Taylor: Free eBook: The Pleasure KeysHer website: [https://www.pathwaytopleasure.com ] Instagram: [https://www.instagram.com/susanmorgantaylor/] FaceBook: [https://www.facebook.com/susanmorgantaylorma] Connect with your host, Jenny Braxton: Instagram: @pusssy.centered.living Website: https://www.jennybraxton.com/The School of P u s s y Centered Living Waitlist Loved the episode and want to show your gratitude? In this episode of The Better Sex Podcast, I talk with leading Somatic Sex Therapist Susan Morgan Taylor, Ma. We explore how women can reclaim their sexuality—not by waiting for someone else to unlock their pleasure, but by learning to create it for themselves. Susan shares her powerful personal story—how she went from a sexless marriage to discovering deep, full-body pleasure on her own. That awakening became the catalyst for her life's work helping others break free from sexual shame and disconnection. Together, we unpack the common myths about women's sexuality and why so many women lose interest in sex over time. Susan explains how stress, safety, and relationship dynamics shape desire—and why learning your own body is essential for lasting connection. She also introduces her Pleasure Keys framework, rooted in relaxation, presence, and internal awareness. Along the way, we explore how to navigate mismatched libidos, sexual fantasies, and communication challenges with curiosity instead of shame. This conversation is a reminder that great sex starts within. Have you ever asked yourself: "Why does sex feel confusing or frustrating in my long-term relationship?" "How do I deal with mismatched desire or feelings of rejection?" "Is there a way to bring passion back into our marriage beyond tricks or performance?" If sex and intimacy have become a perplexing part of your long-term relationship, get ready for a revolutionary reframe that will change how you approach connection. Today, Larry Hagner sits down with Susan Morgan Taylor, MA, a renowned somatic sex therapist, creator of the transformational Pleasure Keys Retreats, and host of the popular Sex Talk Café Podcast.  She has helped hundreds of couples deepen intimate connection and create mutually satisfying sex and intimacy for the long term, and she's here to challenge the myth that passion is just about performance or "finding the right move." Susan Morgan Taylor reveals that true intimacy begins with presence: showing up, tuning in, and being fully responsible for your own pleasure and desires. She explains that when there's been a "drift" in your marriage, it's critical to slow down, get curious, and ask not just what you want, but who it's for.  So many couples mistakenly go through the motions, assuming they know what pleases the other and settling for mediocre connection. The profound truth? Each partner is wired uniquely—and without ongoing, honest conversation, you can drift miles apart. Become the best husband you can: https://bit.ly/deamarriageyoutube In this revolutionary conversation, we dig into: Presence Over Performance: Why true intimacy starts with showing up, tuning in, and owning your own pleasure, moving beyond tricks or external validation. The Danger of the "Drift": How couples unknowingly settle for mediocre connection by assuming they know what pleases their partner without ongoing, honest conversation. Safety as the Ultimate Aphrodisiac: Why creating an environment where your partner can relax—free from pressure, kids bursting in, or a million distractions—is crucial for their willingness to lean in. Beyond Abs or Grand Gestures: The profound truth that genuine trust and moment-to-moment presence are the real keys to opening both her heart and body. Playful, Spacious, Non-Transactional Connection: How to bring curiosity, experimentation, and ownership back into your intimate relationship, even in uncomfortable moments. If you're ready to become not just a better lover, but a better man, this episode is your playbook for ditching resentment, reigniting real desire, and creating a marriage that's thriving, not just surviving. Here's what research and observation highlight about sexual intimacy in long-term relationships: Couples who prioritize emotional safety and open communication about sex report a 35% higher level of sexual satisfaction. Mismatched desire is a common challenge impacting over 30% of couples, but effective communication strategies can significantly improve outcomes. The consistent practice of mindful presence during intimate moments is linked to a 25% increase in shared pleasure and deeper connection. www.thedadedge.com/534 www.thedadedge.com/alliance www.thedadedge.com/25questions Instagram | Facebook | LinkedIn www.pathwaytopleasure.com FREE Pleasure Keys PDF → www.pleasurekeys.com

She is the creator of the transformational Pleasure Keys Retreats and the host of the popular Sex Talk Café Podcast. After leaving a sexless marriage and determined not to repeat the pattern, Susan embarked on a study of her own sexuality where she soon discovered that love, pleasure and orgasm are natural states that already exist within us and are easily experienced when the obstacles are removed. This personal awakening was the turning point that inspired her to become a sex therapist. After more than a decade in private practice as a couple's sex therapist and over 25 years of experience in somatic/body-based approaches to healing, Susan developed The Pleasure Keys Process™, a three-part approach to empower couples to get back on the same page in sex and intimacy while leaving the frustration, confusion and chronic self-sacrifice in the dust.Susan believes we can change the world by how we have sex and make love and that our intimate relationships are the most direct opportunity for personal growth and healing. What is love? Is it a feeling? Is it an experience? A force unseen? Maybe it's a mindset? Or even, a spiritual practice..    “I believe that sex is the most direct pathway to our deepest healing and the fulfillment of our deepest human yearnings for connection and love. When we lose access to this erotic and sexual aspect of ourselves we cut ourselves off from a part of life that holds the power to deeply heal us.” -Susan Morgan Taylor   Love, also known for being the greatest healing force in our lives, is dynamic and can manifest itself in a multitude of fashions. Love is tender, love is kind, but love is also motherfucking violent and abrasive at times. No more of this passive form of love; love is an act that must be refined time and time again. For some, it is easy to express their love for whatever the occasion calls for, and for others, finding your expression can be difficult at times. You will doubt yourself, you will think you're "doing it all wrong"; but all of the preconceived ideas of what love might be, or look like, just don't apply to every situation we're faced with over our lifespans. Susan and I consider what love may look like in a diverse set of situations and what it takes to truly BE in a state of love.    Question.. have you ever been hit with a wave of emotion during a sexual experience? Did you stop what you were doing? Did you cry it out? Laugh it out? Scream it out? Susan points out that our hearts and our genitals are very closely intertwined, and that as our hearts open and release, so do our genitals. When we invite all that it is we are feeling into our sexual practice, we get to experience new and deeper levels of vulnerability and physically MAKE love.    Enjoy the episode, it's quite the trip.   To find more of Susan: Susan Morgan Taylor, MA Specialist in Women's Sexuality and Feminine Spirituality Founder, The Pathway to Pleasure Collective and Feminine Wisdom Academy www.susanmorgantaylor.com www.pathwaytopleasure.com www.femininewisdomacademy.com www.sextalkcafe.net   Go to https://thepsychoe.com to find more episodes and social media updates.    Music is Face In It by @FallenforAutumn on IG

In last week’s Vantage Performance podcast, Susan Morgan spoke about the importance of finding a mentor to act as a sounding board for your ideas. This week Phil Dobbie talks to Andrew Birch, Director of Vantage Performance, who suggests you take it a step further by appointing a board to add some external influence on your business. Andrew says the impact a board has is almost immediate, adding expertise and a fresh perspective on the business. It’s not unusual, he says, for a question to be asked, only to have the incumbent team respond, “yes, why do we do that?” Andrew also talks about an appropriate mix of board members, where to find them and what their role is within the organisation. If you thought boards with non-executive members were really just a necessarily evil for listed companies who needed to pacify their shareholders, it’s worth hearing what Andrew has to say.

This week: The Amanda Browder show talks to Thomas Lawson and Stacey Allen about the new art journal East of Borneo.   Then Terri and Joanna discuss  Gail Carriger's novel "Soulless".   ALSO PLEASE HELP US OUT!!! Post a video question for our new project! Duncan details in the BAS announcement section of the show.   Los Angeles, CA, September 30--Set to launch in spring 2010, East of Borneo is a dynamic and extensive website: part art journal, part multi-media archive edited by Thomas Lawson, Dean of California Institute of the Arts (CalArts) School of Art. This far-reaching publishing project will also include an imprint of highly focused books that reconsider neglected material and provocative themes within a contemporary context. The development and launch of East of Borneo, signals the amicable end to CalArts' productive eight year collaboration with Afterall. Under Lawson's co-editorship, the contemporary art journal was produced in partnership with London's Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design. In an interview earlier this week, Lawson said, "As the internet forces radical change on all forms of publishing it has become ever clearer that all but the most entrenched art magazines are at risk of becoming obsolete in their current forms. The interesting and exciting thing about this is the potential the web opens up for those of us who want to push forward. As we envisage East of Borneo we will be able to offer readers and writers a much richer, and much more valuable and highly personalized, experience than print formats can. And editorially we will also be able to explore more fully our roots in Los Angeles, while maintaining very active links to the rest of the world." East of Borneo presents traditional art writing in all its variations--from personal to academic, poetic to theoretical--while providing a multi-media platform that highlights connections and encourages new lines of thought, research and consideration, as well as expanded forms of writing. With its robust web architecture and non-hierarchical editorial approach, East of Borneo reflects the sprawling, rhizomatic nature of Los Angeles as well as the broader, international art world. Afterall 22, the last issue of the journal co-published with CalArts, is due on newsstands in October and will feature texts on the artists Sheela Gowda, Jos de Gruyter & Harald Thys and the artists' group Art Club 2000. Thomas Lawson is an artist, educator and writer. His essays have appeared in such journals as Artforum, Art in America, Flash Art, frieze and October, as well as numerous exhibition catalogues. From 1979 until 1992 he, along with writer Susan Morgan, published and edited REALLIFE Magazine, an irregular publication by and about younger artists interested in the relationship between art and life. A selection of writings from REALLIFE was published by Primary Information in 2006. For East of Borneo, he is joined by Stacey Allan, a writer and curator who was the Los Angeles-based associate editor of Afterall from 2007-2009. Lawson and Allan are working, on this new venture, with a highly experienced team of web developers, freelance editors and contributors based both in Los Angeles and abroad. East of Borneo is published by the California Institute of the Arts, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, and is supported in part by grants from the Andy Warhol Foundation for Visual Arts and the J. Paul Getty Foundation.

An interview with Susan Morgan Cooper, a documentary filmmaker, about her latest film, a profile of Pulitizer-Prize winning photographer Eddie Adams. "An Unlikely Weapon," profiles the life of Associated Press photographer Eddie Adams, who shot the iconic photograph of national police chief Nguyen Ngoc Loan shooting to death a captured Viet Cong prisoner, Nguyen Van Lem on a Saigon street in 1968. The photograph, capturing the shooting at the exact moment of impact, won Adams a Pulitzer Prize. The photograph was credited with turning the American public against U.S. involvement in the Vietnam War. Adams, after the war, also documented the plight of Vietnamese refugees leaving their homeland. Interviewer: Daniel C. Tsang, show host. Copyright c 2009
