Despite these flaws, the season shines through breathtaking visuals, an even more impressive soundtrack, and deeper integrations of League of Legends lore. Longtime fans of the franchise may find this chapter even more rewarding, as it enriches the universe with polished animation and memorable moments. While Season 2 feels overshadowed by the excellence of the first, it remains a triumph of storytelling and animation, ensuring its place as a must-watch for both fans and newcomers. Citizen Sleeper is a narrative-driven sci-fi RPG that blends tabletop mechanics with a deep, emotionally engaging story. You play as an escaped android worker struggling to survive on a lawless space station while evading hunters. Inspired by tabletop role-playing games (TTRPGs), its gameplay revolves around time-sensitive actions and resource management, using mechanics like clocks from Blades in the Dark. Each decision carries weight, with a palpable sense of pressure as you navigate the station's challenges. The game stands out for its excellent writing, where relationships with NPCs evolve dynamically, and decisions can lead to betrayal or blackmail. The mechanics are simple, letting players focus on impactful choices while the narrative explores themes like survival in a hypercapitalist society. The aesthetic combines a retro-futuristic vibe with striking character art reminiscent of Kill Six Billion Demons. Developed by Gareth Damian Martin, Citizen Sleeper offers 6–10 hours of gameplay, with plenty of replayability. Though multiple endings are possible, the richness of each playthrough makes even a single experience deeply satisfying. A sequel is planned for release next year, building anticipation for more from this thoughtful and immersive series. The Warcraft 30th Anniversary Direct celebrated the franchise's legacy with exciting updates across its games. World of Warcraft marked its 20th anniversary with new events, rewards, and expansions like The War Within and Season of Discovery. Classic players can anticipate Mists of Pandaria Classic in 2025 and nostalgic content from Cataclysm Classic. Hearthstone unveiled expansions exploring the Emerald Dream, Un'Goro Crater, and alternate-reality adventures, while Warcraft Rumble introduced “split Leaders” and announced a PC beta. From Bethesda and Arkane Lyon, the studio that brought you Dishonored and “DEATHLOOP”, Marvel's Blade is a mature, single-player, third-person game set in the heart of Paris, now in development in collaboration with Marvel Games. - Arkane Studios (PC, Xbox, TBA) EXODUS - EXODUS was announced at The Game Awards 2023 and is an epic new sci-fi action-adventure role-playing game franchise developed by the team at Archetype Entertainment. Produced by Blur Studio. BECOME THE TRAVELER. - Archetype Entertainment (PC, Xbox, PS5) Honorable mentions: Sega announced it's working on at least 5 remakes, possibly more, and possibly new IP! We aren't holding our breath on that last one, but here's the trailer which contains Jet Set Radio, Crazy Taxi, Shinobi, Golden Axe, and Streets of Rage! Hideo Kojima has announced a new multi-media/new media horror project he's been cooking up with genre enthusiast Jordan Peele! Little is known about the project, but there's likely hints and spoilers for the upcoming game hidden in the trailer as usual! Let us know if you catch anything! Here's the Trailer! Sony Santa Monica hit us over the head with a brand new DLC, free to owners of the game! This one is called God of War Ragnarök: Valhalla. More God of War is always good God of War isn't it? Oh yeah, and it's out already by the time you're reading this! Embark Studios pulled a fast one on us, and dropped THE FINALS Season 1 during The Game Awards! Jump in now, free on your platform of choice! A link to the Steam version is here. From the creators of the humble smash hit Untitled Goose Game, comes a new game Big Walk. House House describes the game as a “Cooperative Online Walker-Talker” Set out with your friends through a wide-open world full of challenges, puzzles, and discoveries. You'll need to work together to find your way around, stay in contact using an assortment of tools and toys, and figure out new ways to communicate when you suddenly find yourself speechless. Adventuring aside, there's plenty of time to just hang out. Sit and watch the sunset, or steal your friend's binoculars and kick them into the ocean. Spending time with friends is the best part of a big walk. A link to the Steam version is here. Lightspeed Studios showed off their project LAST SENTINEL. Set in dystopian Tokyo, this is an open-world action game with a seriously cool trailer. While we don't know much about the game, and haven't seen any gameplay, the trailer sure does look good! What would any game show be without a few Warhammer 40k games? How about the long-awaited Space Marine 2? The game looks awesome from what we've seen so far, and if the first game is any indicator, we'll be romping around in powersuits draining the blood of our foes in religious fervor come Sept, 9th 2024!  Mecha Break is another in a series of new mech games we've been seeing lately. It looks faster-paced than Armored Core IV: Fires of Rubicon, and may be exactly what some mecha lovers need! There was plenty more shown at The Game Awards this year! What a week it has been for the industry as the Game Awards 2023 has wrapped up, Grand Theft Auto VI had its trailer revealed a little early, and Day of the Devs happened too. Sean and Marc have a full discussion on Game Awards 2023, the announcements, and if there can be any changes made after the appalling way award winners were treated during their speeches on a "night that's meant to celebrate gaming." Could there a better balance struck between the two? Could the announcements and awards be separated? Is this all hyperbolic? Also, Grand Theft Auto VI had its trailer leaked early and then Rockstar put out the trailer themselves, with it getting a ridiculous amount of traffic on X and YouTube. With the series returning to Vice City could it finally spur Sean to give the series a true shot? What about what was shown in the trailer and the fact the game won't be released until 2025 at the earliest? Day of the Devs also had a special showcase before the Game Awards and Sean has some thoughts on the games shown. What's going on with Bungie, and could they become fully owned by Sony?
