Sounds reliever Craig Yoho sits down with Jeff Hem on the pregame show to talk about his recent Brewers rehab assignment from a leg injury that began in spring training, pitching to his strengths the previous day in Charlotte, being back in Charlotte where he was last year when he got his first major league call-up, and his thoughts as an Indiana native and former Hoosier athlete about the reigning college football national champs.
There's a moment at the end of a long day in a Disney park. The lights are low. The crowd gathers. The music starts to swell. And for a few minutes, everything feels bigger than it should like you're part of something shared, something emotional, something lasting. A Day in the Counter Kingdom was built to capture that feeling… and flip it on its head. The Full Experience This isn't just an album. It's a full playthrough experience a start-to-finish journey through a reimagined version of the Disney Parks, where nostalgia meets distortion, optimism meets aggression, and familiar melodies are pushed into entirely new territory. In this episode of The Leal Legacy Podcast, you can listen to the entire album in one sitting the way it was intended. No breaks. No interruptions. Just the ride. Reimagining the Parks Through Sound Each track on A Day in the Counter Kingdom takes a familiar piece of Disney Parks music and rebuilds it through a different genre: Pop punk Hardcore Metalcore Screamo Deathrock Ska punk Not as parody but as reinterpretation. Because at their core, these songs were always built on strong melodies, emotional hooks, and shared experience the same foundation that drives punk and hardcore music. The Journey Through The Counter Kingdom The album flows like a full day in the park: You start on Main Street U.S.A., stepping into something familiar. You move into imagination and creativity with One Little Spark. You feel the emotional rise and intensity of Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah and There's a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow. Then things shift. The world darkens. Grim Grinning Ghosts pulls you into the shadows.Yo Ho unleashes chaos. It's a Small World becomes something surreal and unsettling. By the time you reach Blood on the Saddle, you've hit the heaviest, most intense point of the journey. And then… You come back. Happily Ever After closes it out not as a return to innocence, but as something earned. More Than Covers A Day in the Counter Kingdom isn't about recreating what already exists. It's about exploring what these songs become when they're viewed through a completely different lens. What happens when nostalgia meets rebellion? What happens when Disney magic is filtered through distortion, breakdowns, and raw emotion? This album is the answer to that question. Experience The Counter Kingdom This full album playthrough is the definitive way to experience A Day in the Counter Kingdom. Whether you're here for the nostalgia, the music, or the reinterpretation this is where it all comes together. Tracklist: Walking Right Down the Middle of Main Street U.S.A. One Little Spark Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah There's a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow Grim Grinning Ghosts Yo Ho (A Pirate's Life for Me) It's a Small World The Tiki, Tiki, Tiki Room Blood on the Saddle Happily Ever After Press play. Evolution says that life today arose from fewer, simpler forms of life. Evolutionists tell us that life is an ever-ascending ladder of increasing complexity as new forms of life develop. For proof, they claim that the fossil record shows this kind of development of life. But is this really what the fossil record shows? It would be easy for me, as a creationist, to tell you that the fossil record shows no increase in biological complexity. But a listener recently sent me a brochure from the Yoho National Park in Canada. The brochure talks about the richness and complexity of the fossilized life forms in the Burgess Shale of the park. Published by the Environment Canada Parks Service, the brochure clearly says that the fossils in the park contradict standard evolution.Let me share a few quotes with you. "Life is simpler today than it was long ago." "Long ago things used to be much more complicated. In fact, this is the central truth underlying one of the most revolutionary discoveries in the history of paleontology." "The animals of the Burgess Shale were more diverse and no less highly specialized than today's living creatures."The Bible gives us the same picture as the fossil record. Living things have always been complex. But early in the Earth's history, there were many more kinds of living things than there are today. And no fossil anywhere shows one kind of creature changing into another. The Bible has correctly predicted what is now found in the fossil record.Exodus 20:11"For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it."Prayer: Dear Lord, kings and armies have tried to stand against Your Word of life to us. They are gone, and Your word remains. Let me never imagine that any man could successfully challenge Your Word, but let me treasure the Word by using it. Amen.Image: Burgess Shale community, M. On this episode, we've got some big news that's going to not only impact runners… but RUNNING around Charlotte itself. (See what I did there?) The Brewers swept the Pirates and pulled closer to their goals, where it appears a playoff berth and first-round playoff bye are looking inevitable. Brewers reporter Curt Hogg and host JR Radcliffe explore the severity of the recent rash of bullpen injuries (and Christian Yelich), the likelihood of Quinn Priester as the No. 2 starter in the playoffs, the breakthrough performance by Jacob Misiorowski on Sunday and what type of extension would make sense for white-hot second baseman Brice Turang, who has become one of the team's most indispensable bats. Will Jake Bauers make the playoff roster? Is Brandon Woodruff all the way back? In Three Up Three Down (35:15), they ponder the elusive concept of the check swing, Aaron Civale's new landing spot and a late-season promotion for Jesús Made. In Remembrew When (53:15), George Scott hits a homer to break up a 1975 no-hitter with one batter to get. In Curt Blanche (58:15), Curt yells at clouds as football returns. Then, JR sits down with Brewers reliever Craig Yoho (1:06:00), whose role in the bullpen could get a bump after the rash of injuries. They discuss his crazy injury history -- including Tommy John surgery before he even became a pitcher, the development of his changeup, his unusually small signing bonus and his quick journey to the big leagues. Evolutionists claim the fossil record shows an ascending ladder of life with increasing complexity, but evidence from places like the Burgess Shale in Yoho National Park contradicts this. Fossil records actually display life being more diverse and complex in the past than it is today. This aligns with the Bible's account of living things having always been complex, with no evidence of one kind of creature changing into another. In the first year of the Civil War War, the Confederacy had no navy. This caused President Jefferson Davis to take an unusual strategic step. He licensed private ships (called privateers) to sail the Confederate coastline and capture Union merchant ships and their cargos, distracting the Union's warships from their blockading efforts and disrupting the North's merchant fleet. It was a swashbuckling time of legal piracy, ocean battles, death trials, and a brilliant, life-saving negotiation by Jefferson Davis.Find the historic story here.
