Today on The Leaders' Brief - On Wednesday Israel's unity parliament was dissolved, bringing an end to the turbulent coalition of Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu and rival Benny Gantz. Mr.Netanyahu and defence minister Benny Gantz had established a unity government in May after three inconclusive elections since April 2019. As part of the 3-year coalition deal, the Israeli Prime Minister had to make way for Benny Gantz to take over after a period of 18 months. Greece and Turkey seem to be having the most disagreeable year since 1974. Athens is currently sealing a deal with France which involves the sale of 18 Rafale jets. The $3 billion deal is set to be finalised in January when French defence minister Florence Parly visits Athens to sign the papers.  The Government of India and the World Bank have signed a deal worth $500 million to be utilised towards building safe and green national highway corridors. The corridors would be developed in the Indian states of Himachal Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, and Uttar Pradesh. According to the ministry of road transport and highways, the funding will help the ministry increase its capacity to mainstream safe and green technologies.
