In Episode 94 of Breaking History, Matt Ehret and Ghost peel back the curtain on a sprawling geopolitical landscape shaped by finance, covert operations, and imperial legacy. Kicking off with a deep dive into the rise of Mark Carney as Canada's new globalist puppet, Matt exposes Carney's roots in Brookfield Asset Management, his ties to the World Economic Forum, BlackRock, the Bronfman crime dynasty, and even Ghislaine Maxwell. They explain how Canada's technocratic system is run through the British Crown's Privy Council and unpack why Trump's call to make Canada the 51st state may be a calculated narrative demonstration rather than a serious policy goal. The hosts then shift to the volatile India-Pakistan conflict, highlighting the role of British and U.S. intelligence in fostering jihadist networks and weaponizing historic grievances like Kashmir and Khalistan. From Pakistan's Defense Minister openly blaming the West for radicalization, to India's aggressive water shutoff, they warn of a potential flashpoint designed to fracture the BRICS alliance. Finally, they explore the strategic importance of Iran's Bandar Abbas port explosion along the International North-South Transport Corridor, a vital trade route linking Russia, Iran, and India. With energy, alliances, and multipolarity on the line, this episode is a masterclass in deciphering the engineered chaos of empire.

Good afternoon, I'm _____ with today's episode of EZ News. Tai-Ex opening The Tai-Ex opened up 125-points this morning from yesterday's close, at 22,403 on turnover of 6.5-billion N-T. Shares in Taiwan closed higher on a technical rebound Wednesday from a slump a session earlier, led by large cap tech stocks. But analysts say parts of earlier gains were eroded amid uncertainties caused by U.S. President Donald Trump's tariff policies. With the rebound featuring tech stocks, old economy industries largely moved in weakness caused by tariff concerns. Taiwan Closed National Freeway Lane for Earliest Butterfly Protection in Decade Highway officials closed part of National Freeway 3 yesterday in Yunlin County, due to a large migration of purple crow butterflies. And according to local conservationists, this marked the earliest closure (關閉) before the usual peak around the Tomb Sweeping Festival in early April. Conservationists reported over 30-thousand purple crow butterflies migrated through the area in the morning, peaking at 690 per minute. The Freeway Bureau installed a 1,100-meter protective net and closed an outer lane once butterfly traffic exceeded 250 per minute. Experts say an early migration was triggered by a colder winter followed by recent warm weather, with butterfly numbers expected to surge from March 20th until the end of the month. Argentina Protests Against Austerity Measures Argentine retirees and fans of several soccer teams have clashed with police during a protest in front of Congress in the capital, Buenos Aires, against the economic policies implemented by the government of President Javier Milei. What started as a peaceful demonstration escalated into violent clashes as police deployed water cannons, tear gas, and pellets against stone-throwing protesters. For weeks, Buenos Aires retirees have held weekly protests demanding higher pensions, citing a precarious standard of living. The government of far-right President Javier Milei, who has championed a policy of public spending cuts since coming to power a year and a half ago, had warned of restrictions on entry to stadiums for those who cause disorder (動亂). Greenland Independence Party Surprise Victory in Parliamentary Elections A party that favors a gradual path to Greenland's independence from Denmark has won a surprise victory in parliamentary elections. Tuesday's voting was held in the shadow of U.S. President Donald Trump's stated goal of taking control of the island. The Demokraatit Party, a pro-business party that favors a slow path to independence, has pushed back against Trump's rhetoric, saying it is for Greenlanders to decide the future of the strategically (在戰略上) important territory. Our first interview, “Four Days in October,” focused on the intense deliberations that took place behind closed doors regarding the possibility of Israel responding to its stronger adversary first, Hezbollah in Lebanon, rather than Hamas in the Gaza Strip. If you have not heard or seen that interview, you can find it here. For the second interview in our series with General Gallant, we focused on the most difficult aspect of this war - the hostages in Gaza and the efforts to bring them home.Yoav Gallant served as Israel's Defense Minister from 2022 until 2024. He was fired by Benjamin Netanyahu twice in those two years, first in 2023, when massive protests in Israel led Netanyahu to reverse his decision, then again in November of 2024. Gallant is a member of Netanyahu's Likud party. His military career spans five decades, beginning in 1977 as a naval commando in Shayetet 13, and serving as chief of the IDF's Southern Command during Operation Cast Lead, an early war with Hamas that lasted from late 2008 to early 2009. //The Wire//2300Z March 3, 2025////ROUTINE////BLUF: VEHICLE RAMMING ATTACK STRIKES MANNHEIM CARNIVAL. NOTHING NEW REGARDING EPSTEIN DOCS.// -----BEGIN TEARLINE------International Events-Germany: A vehicle ramming attack was carried out in Mannheim this evening. The attacker was detained at the scene. So far, one fatality was reported, with many wounded in the attack. Mannheim police have requested witnesses to stop sharing video evidence on social media.Austria: An unspecified threat at the Hauptbahnhof (central train station) in Vienna resulted in an evacuation of the station today, during the evening rush hour commute. AC: In keeping with tradition, very few details were released by authorities, however after a bomb squad sweep of the complex the alert was canceled. Though authorities have not specified the nature of the threat, most Austrian media has claimed the incident revolved around a bomb threat.Norway: A brief diplomatic scandal was reported over the weekend following the Oval Office argument between the United States and Ukraine. After Zelenskyy was removed from the White House, various European nations have also transitioned to adopt a more hostile diplomatic position toward the United States. In Norway, these icy tensions came to fruition in the form of a maritime logistics company refusing to refuel American warships as part of a defense pact with Norway. Haltbakk Bunkers (a refueling company) issued a profanity-laced statement on social media culminating with the basic idea of "no fuel for Americans". This statement was rebuffed by Norway's Defense Minister, who stated that Norway would continue to provide the agreed upon support for American naval vessels who visit Norwegian ports. AC: Additionally, it must be noted that the CEO of Haltbakk confirmed that they don't actually have any established contracts to supply American vessels in the first place (other companies hold the larger defense logistical contracts), so this short-lived economic protest would not have had any impact anyway.Ukraine: Two commercial cargo vessels were damaged in the port city of Odessa over the weekend. A Russian missile strike targeted the port and the vessels specifically due to allegedly being used for arms shipments to Ukraine. The M/V MSC LEVANTE F and the M/V SUPER SARKAS (a container ship and a bulk carrier respectively) were both struck in the attack, each suffering unknown damage.-HomeFront-Washington D.C. - All chatter surrounding the release of the Epstein client list has largely fallen away following last week's influencer binder scandal. Neither the DoJ, nor the FBI have provided a clear time window for when any new documents are scheduled to be released. As AG Bondi's original order to provide the documents has not been carried out by the FBI, she has given the FBI 14 days to explain why her order wasn't followed. AC: As this scandal has largely devolved into strongly-worded emails, finger pointing, and ultimatums that aren't acknowledged, the chances of any further disclosures of new information are becoming increasingly remote. Also in Washington, this afternoon the White House has announced the cessation of arms sales to Ukraine, as well as an increase in tariffs on Chinese trade to 20%. Following the failure of diplomatic talks, the previous trade tariffs with Canada and Mexico are set to come into effect at midnight (pending any last-minute diplomatic moves).Florida: Three separate civilian aircraft violated the closed airspace surrounding President Trump's residence at Mar-a-Lago on Saturday. These airspace violations resulted in F-16's scrambling from the 1st Air Force out of Tyndall Air Force Base to intercept the aircraft. During at least two of these interceptions flares were deployed by military aircraft to get the attention of the civilian pilots. AC: It is not clear as to why these airspace violati

In this episode of ”Call Me Back”, we hear the behind the scenes story of the war with Hamas and Hezbollah from Yoav Gallant, who served as Israel's Defense Minister for the first 13 months of this 16-month war. In his first English-language interview since the war began, the former Defense Minister offers an intimate account of the war's initial hours and days, with an emphasis on one date that could have changed it all: October 11th, 2023. This episode is the first in a series of interviews we will be posting with General Gallant, chronicling the historic and unprecedented events of the last 16 months. Yoav Gallant served as Israel's Defense Minister from 2022 until 2024. This is the Catchup on 3 Things by The Indian Express and I'm Flora Swain.Today is the 6th of February and here are the headlines.External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar addressed the Rajya Sabha on Thursday regarding the deportation of 104 Indian citizens from the U.S. He assured that the Indian government is engaging with U.S. authorities to prevent ill-treatment of the deportees. Jaishankar emphasized that all countries must take back their nationals living illegally abroad and explained that using restraints during deportation is standard procedure by the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) since 2012.In a speech on Thursday in the Rajya Sabha, Prime Minister Narendra Modi responded to the Motion of Thanks on the President's Address. Modi criticized the Congress party for prioritizing "family first," stating that expecting “sab ka saath, sab ka vikas” from Congress would be a mistake. He also remarked that though the Congress government had not awarded the Bharat Ratna to B.R. Ambedkar, they are now compelled to acknowledge his legacy by saying “Jai Bhim.”Harwinder Singh, one of 104 Indian deportees, shared his painful experience aboard the U.S. military flight that returned them to India. He described being handcuffed, chained, and confined to their seats for 40 hours. Despite repeated requests, deportees were only allowed limited bathroom breaks. Singh recounted the physical and emotional toll, adding that the crew was indifferent to their plight, though one kind crew member offered them fruits. The journey, he said, was “worse than hell.”The death of Makhan Din, a Gujjar youth from Kathua's Billawar area, is under investigation after claims of torture in police custody emerged. On Wednesday, Kathua District Magistrate Dr. Rakesh Minhas ordered a magisterial inquiry. Police say Din died by suicide after consuming insecticide on Tuesday evening. They denied accusations of custodial killing, noting Din's familial ties to a Pakistan-based militant. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.Israel's Defense Minister, Israel Katz, directed the military on Thursday to devise a plan allowing for the voluntary departure of Gaza residents. This follows U.S. President Donald Trump's controversial announcement that the U.S. would take control of Gaza, resettle its 2 million Palestinians, and turn the region into the “Riviera of the Middle East.” Katz praised Trump's proposal, which has drawn widespread condemnation for its potential implications on Palestinian rights and the region's future. This was the Catch Up on 3 Things by the Indian Express.

Calls for the resignation of South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol have rung out from civil society and beyond after Yoon declared martial law on December 3rd. The Korean Confederation of Trade Unions (KCTU) called for strikes until Yoon steps down, and groups under and beyond that organization are heeding the call.Yoon's brief and apparently sudden declaration of martial law caused many to protest outside of the National Assembly chanting “Abolish Martial Law! Down with Dictatorship!” The members of that body who were able to get into the building without being blocked by troops voted unanimously against the decree, with the chair declaring it to be “invalid” after their vote.Yoon claimed that the measure was necessary “as an act of national resolve against the anti-state forces” and that he would target “shameless pro-North Korean anti-state forces.” Now, an arrest warrant has been filed against the former Defense Minister, Kim Yong-hyun, alleging that he collaborated with Yoon and intended to cause an insurrection. To talk about this still-developing story and help us understand the history, Yoon's relationship with the U.S., what these events mean for popular movements in South Korea and the prospects for Korean reunification, we're joined by Jia Hong, a member of Nodutdol. First it was the International Court of Justice. South Africa brought a charge of genocide against Israel to be heard and decided in that august forum. That case has been in abeyance since the initial hearing on preliminary issues held in January, 2024. Soon after we began hearing about the International Criminal Court – which has the jurisdiction to hold individuals to account for genocide, war crimes, crimes against humanity and aggression. In May, ICC Chief Prosecutor, Karim Khan, K.C., appeared before a panel of ICC judges to ask that they issue arrest warrants for Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu and then Minister of Defense, Yoav Gallant, for having engaged in crimes against humanity by promoting conditions conducive to mass starvation - targeting the people living in the Gaza Strip. These alleged crimes were purported to have dated back to October 8, 2023, a day on which Hamas terrorists continued their mass slaughter of Israeli civilians in the southern part of the country where they had invaded. Israel was in the second day of an existential war. The suggestion that its leaders were plotting mass starvation of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip is beyond absurd. But apparently the ICC judges agreed with Mr. Khan and arrest warrants were issued on November 21. In this episode we speak with Israeli professor and international law expert, Yuval Shany. We get into all the issues and questions I expect many listeners have: Can the ICC do this? Why did it issue the warrants? And – what happens next? Within hours of the arrest warrants being issued there was a furious reaction from Israel as well as the United States – both on the part of President Biden and President-elect Trump. Whatever one's criticism of Israel may be, this step by the ICC calls into question whether the institution is operating in the interest of the highest ideals of justice or at the behest of nefarious political interests. In this episode, MirYam Institute In-House Analyst, Yaakov Lappin, is joined by Col. (res.) David Hacham, former Arab Affairs Advisor to multiple Israeli Defense Ministers, to discuss the future of the Gaza Strip. Welcome to The Times of Israel's Daily Briefing, your 20-minute audio update on what's happening in Israel, the Middle East and the Jewish world. US bureau chief Jacob Magid and political correspondent Tal Schneider join host Jessica Steinberg for today's episode. Schneider discusses Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's unexpected Tuesday evening dismissal of Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, during the US elections. She examines the presumed political reasons for the dismissal, given Gallant's support for an ultra-Orthodox draft, the issue that has shaken the current government coalition. Magid looks at the US administration's reactions to the dismissal, which came as a surprise. The initial US reaction was measured, while Magid's follow-up interview with a US official conveyed the administration's dismay and the belief that the prime minister is looking out for his own political survival. Schneider talks about her conversations with Jewish voters in Philadelphia prior to Election Day, most of them Democrats, while Magid reports from Dearborn, Michigan, where many Arab voters appeared to be voting for Trump because of their disappointment with US President Joe Biden regarding the war in Gaza. At 8pm on Wednesday night in Israel, PM Netanyahu stunned the country by announcing the immediate firing of Yoav Gallant, the Minister of Defense who has steered Israel through a very difficult period, which is far from resolved. That Bibi and Gallant shared a mutual loathing was no secret. What was surprising was that Netanyahu did this now, in the. midst of a protracted period of conflict as Israel awaits another attack from Iran. This country is stretched to its limits. And we now are dealing with another layer of intense uncertainty. Ya'akov Katz and I discuss the ins, outs and whys. And why now? (I open this podcast with a greeting of “good morning”… reflecting my hopeless optimism to get this out just a little earlier than ended up happening. Next time… I'll keep it simple. “Good day.” And on that note, I do hope you have a good one.)Follow us @stateofTLV on “X”.State of Tel Aviv is a reader-supported publication. In the midst of war, more than ever, complete trust is required between the Prime Minister and the Defense Minister.Unfortunately, even though such trust was present during the first months of the military campaign, and we had a very productive cooperation, during the past several months this trust between myself and the Defense Minister has begun to crack.Defense Minister Gallant and I had substantial disagreements on the management of the military campaign, disagreements which were accompanied by public statements and actions that contravened the decisions of the Government and the Security Cabinet. I have made multiple attempts to resolve these disagreements, but they became increasingly wider. They were also brought to the knowledge of the public in an inappropriate manner, and what is even worse, they have reached the knowledge of the enemy; our enemies have taken great delight in these disagreements and have derived much benefit from them.Different opinions in open debates, as anyone who knows me can attest to, are my way of holding discussions and consultations, and making decisions. Everyone knows that. However, the increasingly wide crisis of confidence between myself and the Defense Minister had become public knowledge, and that crisis is hindering the continued proper administration of the military campaign.I am not the only one with this opinion; in both the Government and the Security Cabinet, the majority of the members of which, virtually all members, share the feeling that this state of affairs cannot continue. In view of the above, I have decided today to remove the Defense Minister from his post. In his stead, I have decided to appoint Minister Israel Katz to this position. Israel Katz has proven his abilities and has made a contribution to national security as Minister of Foreign Affairs, Minister of Finance, Minister of Intelligence for five years, and equally important, as a long-standing member of the State Security Cabinet.Israel Katz brings to the table an impressive combination of rich experience and executive capabilities. He is known as a man of action who combines responsibility with reserved decisiveness, all important qualities for driving a military campaign. Also, I have spoken today with Minister Gideon Saar and proposed that he join the coalition along with his faction and serve as Minister of Foreign Affairs. As a member of the Government and Security Cabinet for many years, Gideon Sa'ar will bring to the table much experience and consideration in the areas of policy and security, and will be a significant addition to our leadership team.Different opinions in open debates, as anyone who knows me can attest to, are my way of holding discussions and consultations, and making decisions. I am convinced that these steps will reinforce the Government and the Security Cabinet, transforming them into bodies that work cooperatively and harmoniously for the security of the State of Israel, for the citizens of Israel, and for our victory". On Tuesday's Mark Levin Show, with 2 weeks to go until election day, President Trump joins the show. Trump discusses the media, the weaponization of the DOJ, fracking, abortion, school choice, Israel, early voting, and much more. The radical left and Kamala Harris can spew all the lies they want about him, but the American people know the truth, they live it every day and their wallets are feeling it the most. America doesn't have a chance if she gets elected. We can't take another 4 years like we've just had with Biden/Harris. Also, President Joe Biden calls for Trump to be politically jailed. Biden is a mentally ill, unhinged, disgusting demagogue and always has been. His vile smears against Trump have absolutely raised the conditions for further physical threats against the former president. Later, Israel was getting ready to attack and the Iran spies in this administration leaked their intel to an Iranian front group. This administration's ties to Iran are treasonous. I've never seen a regime like ours who are special pleaders for the enemy. Afterward, the scandal surrounding the ICC and its rogue prosecutor, who brought criminal complaints against Israel's PM Netanyahu and the Defense Minister, is shocking! It seems the ICC used the complaints to kill the sexual scandal that was exploding at the Court and, specifically, involving its rogue prosecutor. Indeed, the rogue prosecutor had earlier admitted that Israel had a real legal system, including its highest court, and that he was going to conduct an official visit to Israel. But suddenly, he killed it all, issued the criminal complaints against Netanyahu and the Defense Minister, and the allegations against the sexual allegations against the rogue prosecutor disappeared. Even worse, no investigation was conducted by the ICC into its rogue prosecutor. This stinks to high heaven. Senior Contributing Editor at JNS, Caroline Glick calls in to give the latest of this massive scandal. Finally, Rep Mike Garcia calls in to discuss his tight re-election campaign in California's 27th congressional District. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices
Hurricane Milton has strengthened back into a category five storm. It's expected to make landfall on Florida's Central Gulf Coast tomorrow as one of the most destructive storms on record. The Iran-backed Hezbollah terrorist group in Lebanon fired over 100 rockets into northern Israel. Most of them were intercepted, but some hit a residential building near Haifa. Israel's Defense Minister also said that the new leader of Hezbollah appears to be dead. President Biden postponed his upcoming travel to Germany and Angola this week due to Hurricane Milton. His administration also issued a new rule that forces the nation's water systems to replace water lines containing lead within ten years. Vice President Kamala Harris made three high-profile media appearances on popular shows and announced her new plan requiring Medicare to cover home care for seniors. Meanwhile, hurricane Milton led former President Trump to postpone his virtual town hall scheduled for tonight with former independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Junior. ⭕️Watch in-depth videos based on Truth & Tradition at Epoch TV
