In this episode I discuss the following: Character mastery and the new patch notes .. I maxed out 3 cards .. guess who they were .. (or find out by listening.. one is pretty simple). I go over all the patch notes and walk through mastery .. how it works and what it looks like .. The new game mode Sanctum has been moved back to 2/25 .. the big series drop is coming soon! I go over my week in snap which includes decks I've played and one from Regis that I had a blast playing! New variants I've received and I take a look at my shop (bundles etc). I cover the new datamined cards which includes the new WHAT IF? Season in April! And updates to the March cards with a focus on Konshu .. (which is a game within a game card). I talk about General Ross in comics .. his origin story .. his “death” becoming Red HULK & more! In the MCU minute I review the Super Bowl trailer for Thunderbolts and reveal a possible “spoiler” for what the asterisk might be eluding to in the title of the film
With the release of Captain America: Brave New World, we've decided the time is right to discuss the Red Hulk (or Rulk). How did General Ross get superpowers? Why is he red? What happens when he jumps to the moon? These things come up in the comics, even if they might not in the movie. Plus: how did the Leader learn to play the guitar? Why does Jeph Loeb hate rules? And what happens when Rulk jumps back from the moon? Fortunately, we have a special guest to discuss the cataclysmic impacts, and we have Namor's giant sea monsters to fix the problems.

In this crossover podcast series, each month, Adam Hitchcock (The Streaming Circuit podcast) and Tom discuss each movie in chronological order for the Marvel Cinematic Universe's Infinity Saga starting this time with The Incredible Hulk (2008): directed by Louis Letterier, screenplay by Zak Penn, starring Edward Norton, William Hurt, Tim Roth, and Liv Tyler. To find Part 1, subscribe to The Streaming Circuit feed wherever you get your podcasts.Plot Summary: In "The Incredible Hulk", director Louis Leterrier, known for his sleek action sequences, takes audiences on a turbulent journey through the complex psyche of Dr. Bruce Banner (Edward Norton) in a thought-provoking exploration of anger, isolation, and the quest for self-acceptance.The film opens with Dr. Bruce Banner living in the remote corners of South America, seeking solace and anonymity as he tries to control his monstrous alter ego. Haunted by guilt over the destruction caused by his uncontrollable rage, Banner seeks a cure that will rid him of the Hulk once and for all. Banner's quest intersects with the shadowy operations of a covert military organization, led by the enigmatic General Thaddeus "Thunderbolt" Ross (William Hurt). Ross, obsessed with capturing Banner and harnessing the Hulk's power as a weapon, deploys a special task force headed by the ruthless Emil Blonsky (Tim Roth). As Banner eludes capture and struggles with his inner demons, he encounters Dr. Betty Ross (Liv Tyler), his former lover and General Ross's daughter. Their reunion reignites the dormant emotions between them, further complicating Banner's already tormented existence. However, a breakthrough in Banner's research leads him to believe that he can control the Hulk's power without losing himself. Desperate to free himself from his monstrous curse, he tests his theory, unleashing a new version of the Hulk, one more formidable and intelligent than ever before. In a thrilling climax, the Hulk battles Blonsky, now transformed into the monstrous Abomination, tearing through the streets of Harlem in an epic showdown.Leterrier's skillful direction keeps the action intense and captivating, but it is the emotional depth beneath the surface that elevates this film above mere superhero spectacle."The Incredible Hulk" delves into profound themes of identity and the consequences of unchecked rage, inviting viewers to question the nature of humanity itself. Norton's nuanced portrayal of Banner captures the character's vulnerability, torment, and ultimate redemption, delivering a performance that lingers in the mind long after the credits roll. With its poignant exploration of the human condition, Leterrier's vision of "The Incredible Hulk" is a thoughtful addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, reminding us that even the strongest among us carry deep-seeded struggles that require understanding, compassion, and, above all, acceptance. You can now follow us on Instagram, Twitter, or TikTok (@gmoatpodcast) or find our Facebook page at Greatest Movie of All-Time Podcast. For more on the episode, go to: https://www.ronnyduncanstudios.com/post/mcu-special-the-incredible-hulk-2008For the entire MCU rankings list so far, go to: https://www.ronnyduncanstudios.com/post/greatest-mcu-movie-rankings-list
In this episode:Mike and Ed discuss life after being an Avenger. What are the responsibilities? What are the privileges? Do they get top secret briefings? Are they like ex-Presidents? Or like ex-FBI? Who pays for the damage they cause when Giant-Man decides to grow to 35-feet in the middle of the city and starts knocking down buildings? These are unprecedented times, but someone has to figure this out quickly!Behind the comic:This is the first adventure of Giant-Man and the Wasp post-Avengers. The story continues into the next issue, but at that point they “retire” and the title converts to dual stories of Namor and the Hulk. It turns out Giant-Man just wasn't that popular. It didn't help that Tales to Astonish had consistently been one of the weaker titles for the previous few years. Something needed to change. Also in this issue, the Human Top, who was originally introduced as a “normal human” who just happened to be able to spin quickly, has now developed the ability to fly…In this issue:Giant-Man and the Wasp are practicing just outside the city. A plane intentionally flies into Giant-Man, and the pilot, the Human Top, considers killing him but does not have time before Giant-Man wakes up. The Top splits, and Giant-Man returns home. Giant-Man practices his growing ability in downtown Manhattan. The Human Top then returns and battles Giant-Man and the Wasp, and Giant-Man is enraged when the Top leaves with a captured Wasp.In the Hulk story, the Hulk saves Major Talbot from dying during the Leader's attack. Then, when the Hulk has turned back into Bruce Banner, General Ross places him under arrest for treason. The leader sends his humanoid minions to the base where Banner is being held, and while they attack Banner, he turns back into the Hulk and battles them but is knocked out as they steal an invention of Banner's for the Leader's use.Assumed before the next episode:People are fed up with Giant-Man leaning on their buildings, carelessly causing damage. This episode takes place:After Giant-Man has leaned on one too many buildings.Full transcript:Edward: Mike, what do you do when you retire from the Avengers? What's next? What's next on your plate?Michael: I don't know. It's hard to go higher in the superhero community, but it's also harder to get a better job in even the military or that kind of like super diplomacy communityEdward: and super diplomats.Michael: Well, that's what they are, right? Like they're like, I don't know, like Warrior Kings in a way. Right?Edward: Thank you for your service, giant man. I'd not like you to be the diplomat in charge of Poland. Over there with the wasp. You can help us deal with geopolitical situations in the Eastern Republics.Michael: But that's what they've been doing though. They've been acting asEdward: the last time giant man went into the Eastern Europe, he was crashing through the Berlin wall. It's not diplomatic, it's not known for diplomacy.Michael: No, but his actions, whether they're clumsy or not, were actually affecting international relations. So that's what I mean, like the general sense of whatever they are.Edward: Yeah. So causing diplomatic relations is not the same as being a diplomat, just cuz they both have the word diplo in them.Michael: No, no, no. I'm not saying that they're, I'm not saying that that's the job. It's just that what have the Avengers been? They've saved the world. They've battled villains. They have taken upon their self to go to other countries, to act in America's interests. And then at times we've found that they've acted secretively to the same extent, further in the interest and theory of America. So I don't know what you want to call them, but they're not regular. And so you're, they're not regular. And, and your question at the start was like, well, what do you like, what do you do when you retire?Well, it's not unprecedented, but it's unusual. And so it's a good question.Edward: And so what's unusual, you're saying retiring as a superhero is unusual or retiring as an avenger is unusual. What's unusual?Michael: Retired from the Avengers is unusual because, well, yes, it's Avenger.Edward: Avengers have only been around for a couple years. No one has retired until now. But now we've had, now we have three retirements, sorry, four retirements, 1, 2, 3, 4, all at the same time.Michael: Yeah. And my point is that it's unusual. We have an experience where someone with that much power who's had such a fascinating role and influence on world affairs, is now no longer in that position? I think there's a qualitative difference between being on the Avengers and being the go-to team for. Pretty much any big problem to be on their own. Are they still on the payroll or at least getting the status and the influence they had on Avengers?Edward: I wouldn't think so. If you're not, you can't be like, not on the Avengers, but still getting all the Avenger privileges.Michael: That's right. So that's what I mean. Somebody that tied in to International affairs in such a highly visible way and such an influential position, I would think that they don't just retire and, then our intelligence organizations are like, that's cool.I guess you just. Have all this knowledge and this know-how, and you just go off and do what you want. So I'd imagine that there's something that must tie them closer. Oh, I see what you're saying. It's like maintain them and to be still being sort of a post adventure, but still in the family. You know what I mean?Edward: Got it. You're a post, you're not in ave anymore, but now you're a post a event. It's like a presidents. When presidents retire, they still have the secret service. Follow them around everywhere. They still get paid. Right., if you're an ex-president, you still get a salary.Michael: I think so. Or some kind of pension, I don't think they'd wait till like they're, you know, like most of 'em seem to be quite old when they're president, when they retire. I don't think they, they have to wait long before they get the stipend. Right. Which makes a lot of sense as well, cuz you don't want them to Go out and say, I've been the president of the United States for eight years and now I'm interviewing for this job at General Electric.Or I might go, I think I'd like to go work in Hungary. You know what I mean? I don't think that they're gonna be like, what's next for me? As if it's just like anybody in the world. They're just not. And so I think get to pay them enough to keep them on the bench in a way, and still get to know-how and the benefit of the expertise and still have them available to contact them.I would think.Edward: Okay, there's an ex-presidents club. You think there's gonna be an ex Avengers club where they all get together and come back together and talk about, I dunno, I guess the new Avengers can ask the old Avengers for advice the presidents do that sometimes. Yeah.Michael: I think so. I mean, I'd like to think so because the alternative would be that the Avengers, so somebody who's been so tied into our security and the intelligence organizations, but also our military and our political affairs is just suddenly like, huh. Well, I gotta make a living not an Avenger anymore.Edward: Maybe I'll go rob Banks,Michael: right? Or maybe I will go maybe work for, another country. I mean, like they could, and it's unusual, like the adventures started as this voluntary group, but very quickly became integral to our security intelligence organizations, et cetera.but I bet that there are those types of organizations and associations already. I bet they just attach that type of structure over to the Avengers to make sense.Edward: Paul, you're saying there's other structures like the Avengers out there?Michael: You used presidents ex-president, as an example.I think there has to be some kind of process they can follow to say, time.Edward: But the difference is the presidents, like that's part of the constitution, like that's built into the fabric of our country and there are rules and regulations that go back. Hundreds of years. The Avengers are a couple years old.We don't even know exactly how the Avengers are affiliated with their government, how they're affiliated with Stark Corp. They're all part of this military industrial complex, and I don't think we understand what's going on. It's definitely not the way we understand what happens with the president.Michael: Well Ed, I'm not saying I'm cool with it. I find it to be the most weird you know, and people that listen to our show know this. I've always found it to be the weirdest thing that the military, the government, our intelligence organizations are like, I don't know, better get the adventures involved. I've always found it to be strange, but whether it's strange or not, they're tied in and they have this connection and they have this. Powered authority in our society. So just to have them float off and possibly just what, decide that they want to, take what they know and not do anything with it, or,Edward: yes. You're basically say we should bribe them so that they don't do that. We should have tax dollars go towards paying giant man and Thor and Iron Man in the wasp and tell them, Hey, here's a hundred grand. Uh, please don't work for the Russians.Michael: I think, I wouldn't use the word bribe, but I think it's incentivized, I suppose, but's be honest, let's be honest. You, I've had shows where, where your solution is like, I guess we gotta kill them. Or lobotomized them. I'm like, no, I'm just following your well trod path on this one. Like probably need to pay them is the better alternative than like, Like, where I know you want to go on these things where it's like, too dangerous of your life. See you later.Edward: You know, I'm gonna tell your wife about the things you've been doing, unless you give me an incentive to not do thatMichael: well yeah. It's, like, protection, money protection.Edward: I'm not gonna, uh, bust into your shop, but, you know, I need some incentive to make sure that it stands up. Okay.Michael: But Ed, you wouldn't characterize it as bribing that you say, Let's say Kennedy, who's a young president, let's say. He hadn't been assassinated and he continued on, and he retired after, let's say he served two terms. He would've been in his early fifties, you wouldn't have considered bribery to pay him a pretty healthy pension.Edward: No, you're, right. It's not bribery to have to pay someone to do their job.Michael: It's a role.Edward: It's an incentive pay. It's an incentive. So that you go and do The Thing that we we're paying you to do. I think bribe, connotates something illegal, right? Or something underhanded. What's what's going on here though, is, it kind of is underhanded, because it's not public, it's not well-known. Is Stark Corp paying their post avenger salary? Is it the government? That's to me the, big question. And the other thing is that well at least giant man is still active. We haven't heard much from about Thor Iron Man, but, it's Giant man is out there. Experimenting and doing more stuff. Like the latest things on Giant Man is he can now grow to 35 feet tall. He's getting bigger and bigger, so his power levels are increasing. And he's doing it right in the city. He's damaging buildings, he's doing practices. He weighs tons with tons and tons of weight, and he's walking through the city causing damage. And so in the past when that happened, the Avengers had some sort of fun that paid for that stuff. Is there a post Avengers payment fund now too?Michael: That's part of the reason why I was thinking about this, there has to be some kind of structure in there. Not just about the idea that they have information that would be damaging, to our interests if they went somewhere else, for instance. But also if giant man is practicing growing in the cities, and holding onto buildings so he doesn't fall down. He's causing damage. And in the past, it's still irresponsible them to do that. But at least there is some kind of recourse for the regular person or insurance companies. He get some kind of, kind of like, you know, fix, fix the masonry on this. You know, likeEdward: fix, it's like an irresponsibility reading. As an avenger you can have a 10 on irresponsibility, but now that you're post Avengers, let's bring that irresponsibility level down to a six or a seven.Michael: And he hasn't, you know what I mean? Practicing growing around buildings when you wait tons and could knock one over if you just tripped, is not responsible.Edward: And also grabbing, grabbing onto the edges of buildings and like having bricks fall off. It just seems a little dangerous.Michael: It's super dangerous. So that's why I think that there must be something in the way, some process or some similar continuation of coverage.Really. Like I know when lawyers retire, we have mandatory insurance and then when you retire you can have runoff insurance, which would cover you. So you might get a claim, there's only so long you can Sue your former lawyer there's limitation periods and then you'd wanna make sure you cover. So if you did get sued,Edward: the insurance covers you, not for the time that you were a lawyer, but the insurance is covering you for right now. Like, for example, if you stopped your insurance today, And you got sued for something you did yesterday, the insurance wouldn't cover you.Michael: No, so insurance covers terms, so as long as you have occurrence base and claims based policies, but the most common policy would be like if you get into a car accident, you have insurance policy with company A, and then you get sued two years later. B, you no longer are insured you by that company. You're run to another insurance company. It's the company that was on risk that would cover you. And so I'm saying for, Lawyers when they retire, they wanna make sure they've got insurance and coverage, to continue a bit longer. I see I'm diving into stuff. I'm not a hundred percent sure I'm far from retirement, but I just know that there is coverage up.Edward: There's something, there, something, there's something's something there that's a giant man probably has some sort of insurance policy that's covering him post Avengers, some sort of runoff policy that lasts for some period of time.Michael: Or you just have the Avengers have so much money at their disposal. They're either self-insured in a sense, or they just have money to pay. But whatever it is, I think that you don't have these retired Avengers running around causing damage and then not, and then what you're gonna Sue giant man, you're gonna find out where that guy, who he really is. Or do you still follow the process that is in place that we we're aware of where they could make a claim. Because of the damage that the Avengers caused, which I think is a way that's kept people kind of okay with them in general.Edward: So if he has to have this coverage that keeps lasting, like we're kind of paying for giant man for the guess for the rest of his life or for some time period.Does he have responsibility then too? This is like reserves in the military. I think we can call back up giant man if the Hulk was rampaging through the city and we're like, you know what? The Avengers are a little weak right now. We need some, uh, we need some more bench strength. Can he be called in?Michael: I don't know. I mean I would think so. I would think that's part of the deal. Like we said at the beginning, it's unusual and unprecedented about what they are in our society, but they are unusual. They are unprecedented is so, you and I are just trying to speculate about what should make sense. And I think what makes sense is that if they're out there, Having information or abilities that could harm us if they were no longer on our side. I think that there's a built-in incentive to have them close to home, really. But also if they're out there doing activities, and they're more or less government agents, which they have been.I think there should be some kind of recourse for regular people. Otherwise people would not be as keen about Giant man doing his calisthenics in the middle of the city.Edward: Like you're sounding more and more like the Avengers are like the mafia. Once you're in, you can't get out. You think you're out and we pull you back in.Michael: I'm not saying that they're not like that. This is a public episode. Minute Thirty: From Asgard to Midgard This is our last day of individual guests for each day, but it's a great way to finish it off as we have Justin Jaeger from TruStory FM's Trailer Rewind podcast to talk with us about Thor's banishment from Asgard to Midgard. In the thirtieth minute of Kenneth Branagh's 2011 film Thor... The jerk finally realizes he's been a jerk. This is really a big comeuppance for Thor here. Once again, the conversation turns back to Thor's eyebrows. They're really bad here. It was great to be on Jotunheim for a while where his eyebrows actually had more of a semblance of normalcy. There have been quite a range of emotions going across Thor's face in the last few minutes. We love how shocked and vulnerable he suddenly looks here. It's clear he never had any idea there might be consequences for this. And that's after bringing up again that Sif told him this was forbidden. Is it Frigga who had spoiled him too much? We certainly get that sense when reflecting on the coronation scene earlier in the film. Odin has such a great dramatic pause here as he locks down what he wants to do. He's processing a lot in this small moment. And had he already whittled Thor's punishment down to this final banishment? If Thor had shown remorse, would Odin have gone so far? Was he thinking sending Thor from Asgard to Midgard would be good punishment? When Odin references ‘loved ones' that Thor has betrayed, is he meaning just the family? Or all of Asgard? Loki has such a great tennis match moment here as he watches this fight. Is he sad at all that his actions have brought this all down on Thor? Or just shocked that Odin has taken it to this point? Or is he really just biting his lip with glee? We try to figure out the lore and history of Mjølnir. Odin not only takes Mjølnir from Thor but he uses it to strip the armor from Thor's arms. He then uses it to banish Thor, blasting him back into the Bifrost to cast him out. It says a lot that Odin uses Thor's own weapon to cast him out. It's a shame, though, that we don't get more pointed moments later in the franchise that point out the specifics of Thor's armor and rank. But what's interesting is that Odin then whispers what seems to be a spell into Mjølnir – a line of text that had been written on it in the comics – “Whosoever holds this hammer, if he be worthy, shall possess the power of Thor.” So it seems that in the MCU at least, this is the moment when only those who are worthy can wield Mjølnir. This is certainly different from mythology. Is it also a part of fact that Mjølnir, like Gungnir, is made of Uru that allows it to be enchanted thus? There's also that ‘he' in that spell. It just feels dated now. With Taika Waititi behind the upcoming Thor: Love and Thunder, we sort of expect that he's going to find a way to deal with that. Kinda like that moment in Star Trek 6. Does it matter that Odin says ‘hold' versus ‘lift'? It seems a bit like a semantic battle, eh? So Odin banishes Thor from Asgard to Midgard. And it's incredibly dramatic. As far as sending Thor through the Bifrost then Mjølnir through immediately afterward, the scene construction is a bit wonky as we do cross the line, making it appear as if Odin sends the hammer in the complete opposite direction of Thor. Is that just meant to show us that it's not going to land directly on top of Thor? Is it just planetary rotation? To that end, how does he actually operate the Bifrost and Heimdall's Observatory with Gungnir? Is there a mental connection? Again, Loki gives great stone faces through all of this. Thor's trip through the Bifrost looks so much rougher than his earlier journey. Was that because he had Mjølnir? Or more because of his intentionality on that journey as opposed to this one where he's thrown into it? Or is this because Odin operates it with Gungnir, not Heimdall with Hofund? And we're back on Earth. I mean, Midgard. Well, you know what we mean. Thor lands and we have several shorthand shots to put us back into that moment when they drive into the atmospheric disturbance (aka the Bifrost) then crash into Thor. It's the exact same shot that we saw back in minute 3, but here it's clear they haven't manipulated the lighting so we can now actually see they crash into Thor as opposed to some shadowy figure. Meanwhile in the MCU, we learn that Thor's coronation, the attack on Odin's vault, and Thor's journey with his friends to Jotunheim all happened on May 30th. Interestingly, they actually return on the 31st of May so somewhere in there, there may be a time zone they crossed. So Thor lands on Midgard, aka Earth, on May 31st, 2010, the same day that General Ross battles Hulk at Culver University, Tony Stark battles Ivan Vanko, aka Whiplash, at the Stark Expo, and that Agent Phil Coulson stops several robbers from holding up a small gas station in the deserts of New Mexico. From Thor's banishment from Asgrd to Midgard, to Odin's spell on Mjølnir, to Loki's reaction, to the rough trip through the Bifrost, to Thor getting hit by a car, we cover a lot with JJ. Tune in! We stick in the MCU and discuss the often forgotten "Incredible Hulk," starring Edward Norton as Bruce Banner. Is it the worst of the MCU? Or is it simply misunderstood? It's not easy being green, and we have a lot to talk about. The Incredible Hulk is episode 32 of Superhero Century, the podcast where we watch every superhero movie of the 21st Century in chronological order.
We briefly discuss the plot of Episode 6 of What If this week: In this alternate universe, Tony Stark is never kidnapped by The Rings and, therefore, never becomes Iron Man. Instead, he is rescued by Erik Stevens, a.k.a. Killmonger, a Navy SEAL on a mission in Afghanistan. Upon Tony's return, Killmonger reveals to the world that Obadiah Stane was behind Tony's attempted kidnapping. Out of gratitude and hope, Tony hires Killmonger to replace Stane as the COO of Stark Industries, a decision that makes Pepper Potts and Happy Hogan nervous. Charmed by Killmonger's intellect & manipulations, Tony works with him to create a drone army. When it's clear something is missing, Killmonger suggests they go searching for vibranium to improve the drones. Col. James Rhodes accompanies Killmonger to a meeting with Ulysses Klaw. Klaw & his forces are attacked by T'Challa, Wakanda's Black Panther. Killmonger betrays Rhodey and kills him, revealing that he has been working with Klaw to draw out Killmonger's cousin T'Challa, whom he also murders. Killmonger spins the incident to make Wakanda look like the aggressor, but Tony knows the truth thanks to JARVIS Killmonger then kills Tony before he can reveal the truth, though Pepper continues to be suspicious of the SEAL. General Ross uses the PATRIOT Act to take over Stark Industries, build a drone army, and wage war against Wakanda. Meanwhile, Killmonger brings the Wakandans Klaw's body to paint himself as a hero and the prodigal son returned. He wins the battle with the Stark drones and manipulates everyone, including King T'Chaka, who makes Killmonger the new Black Panther. But Shuri isn't fooled. She travels to New York to formulate a plan with Pepper to reveal the truth. Episode 6 stars Michael B. Jordan, Jeffrey Wright, Chadwick Boseman, Angela Bassett, Danai Gurira, Andy Serkis, Don Cheadle, Paul Bettany, Leslie Bibb, John Kani, Mick Wingert, Beth Hoyt, Kiff VandenHeuvel, and Ozioma Akagha. But mostly, our discussion is a roundup of recent Marvel news & our feelings about the latest trailers and rumors bouncing around fandom. MCU – MARVEL STUDIOS Deadpool 3 Is on Marvel's Super-Secret Slate, Says Kevin Feige https://www.cbr.com/deadpool-3-marvel-secret-release-window-kevin-feige/ Marvel President Kevin Feige confirmed that Deadpool 3 has a spot on the Marvel Cinematic Universe release schedule -- but he's not ready to reveal it. Feige teased Deadpool 3's impending release during an episode of Comicbook.com's Phase Zero podcast when asked if Marvel had an internal release window for the film. "We do," he said. "And the script is in the works and Ryan [Reynolds] is working very hard on it with our writers as we speak." Letitia Wright injured doing Black Panther stunt https://variety.com/2021/film/news/letitia-wright-hospitalized-black-panther-wakanda-forever-1235049077/ “Letitia Wright sustained minor injuries today while filming a stunt for ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.' She is currently receiving care in a local hospital and is expected to be released soon,” a spokesperson for Marvel said in a statement to Variety. Marvel's What If Season 2 Confirmed To Include Phase 4 Movies https://screenrant.com/marvel-what-if-season-2-phase-4-movies/ In a Screen Rant exclusive interview from the Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings press junket, Kevin Feige talked about season 2 of What If…?. In particular, he was asked how Phase 4 and the exploration of the multiverse will tie into What If….? Read what he had to say below: “That's the fun thing about having the What If…? series now; we can explore questions just like that,” said Feige. “And I will say, just as season 1 is tapping into films and storylines from the MCU that you've seen up to this point, season 2 will definitely incorporate movies from Phase 4.” Scarlett Johansson Slams “Misogynistic” Disney Response As Mouse House Tries To Move ‘Black Widow' Suit Behind Closed Doors – Update https://deadline.com/2021/08/scalett-johansson-disney-lawsuit-black-widow-response-arbitration-1234819262/ Disney insists Marvel's contract with Johansson provides for arbitration exactly in the event of a dispute like this one that erupted on July 29 MCU – Non-MARVEL STUDIOS Spider-Man: No Way home Trailer https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rt-2cxAiPJk DISNEY+ Marvel Studios' ‘What If…?': Jeffrey Wright Talks Voicing Marvel's Most ‘Passionate Fan' with The Watcher https://www.marvel.com/articles/tv-shows/what-if-jeffrey-wright-the-watcher “The character's an interesting one,” he explains. “He's got these strange powers that we've never really witnessed before. He has access to these worlds, and he has a type of vision that is pretty much singular to him. There was a lot of stuff to be excited about, and to play with, and to try to figure out. The Watcher is introduced on the cover of 1963's FANTASTIC FOUR as the most dramatic being in all of the universe. If you get asked as an actor to play something like that, you kind of take interest! It's all about that drama. He's born into the Marvel Universe in an interesting way, popping out on the moon there with the Fantastic Four. I wanted to find out who he was so that I could figure out, how might he sound for the first time, hearing him?” Kevin Feige Gives Update on ‘Loki' Season 2, Says Director Search Will Begin Shortly https://collider.com/loki-season-2-update-filming-when-kevin-feige-interview/ Collider's Steve Weintraub spoke with Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige during the press day for Marvel's new film Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, he asked Feige for an update on Loki Season 2. The Marvel executive was characteristically tight-lipped, but did confirm development is underway and the hope is to retain much of the same team that made Season 1 of the series: “It is underway. We're developing it as we speak. The hope is that much of the same team will return. Kate is going on to bigger and better things, so the director search will begin shortly.” As for when Loki Season 2 might start filming, Feige promised he's “not being evasive” but said he's “not sure exactly where it falls between next year and the year after.” So production could begin as soon as 2022, or it might not go before cameras until 2023, which means an even longer wait until it's on Disney+. Loki was not originally planned as an ongoing series, but the decision to make a second season was made during production, which led to some tweaks to the final episode. After the finale of Loki aired, reports surfaced that Hiddleston will be seen as Loki in the feature film Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. So it's possible that whatever Loki Season 2 is is tied to how the multiverse unfurls across the next few Marvel movies. Shang-Chi and Eternals both appear to be fairly disconnected from the multiverse idea, but Spider-Man: No Way Home and the aforementioned Doctor Strange sequel both reportedly deal with the arrival of the multiverse pretty heavily. Marvel's ‘Armor Wars' Starring Don Cheadle Taps Yassir Lester As Head Writer Of Disney+ Series https://deadline.com/2021/08/marvels-armory-war-yassir-lester-1234818795/ Sources say Yassir Lester has been brought on to pen Armor Wars starring Don Cheadle, who will reprise his role of James Rhodes aka War Machine. In this episode:Mike and Ed discuss another superpowered individual who can control minds - this time in New Mexico and across the midwest. In this issue:Bruce Banner and Rick Jones come up with a way to keep the Hulk locked away. The Army, however, are on the lookout for the Hulk. General Ross tells Rick they need the Hulk to test a new missile. This is a lie, as they just want to shoot the Hulk into space. Rick falls for this ruse, lets the Hulk out, and leads the Hulk into the missile, which shoots into space. The Hulk turns back to Bruce Banner and is bombarded with radiation which appears to permanently turn him into the Hulk (rather than just turn him into the Hulk when the sun goes down). The Hulk is, ironically, an even greater menace due to General Ross's intervention. Meanwhile, Rick learns that he had been tricked. The Hulk returns to Earth, and blames Rick for being shot into space. Rick realizes he can control the Hulk mentally, provided he is awake (another side effect of the space radiation on the Hulk). When he is asleep, the Hulk rampages through town. Rick returns to locking the Hulk away.Assumed before the next issue:The Hulk is now a mindless monster who can only be controlled by Rick Jones. This gives the Army, the police, and the public even more reason to fear him. This episode takes place:A few days after the events in the issue, when people hypnotized by the Ringmaster have been interviewed and the military has made statements as to what happened with respect to the capture of the Ringmaster and escape of the Hulk. This is a public episode. If you would like to discuss this with other subscribers or get access to bonus episodes, visit www.superserious616.com
In this episode:Mike and Ed discuss the alien invasion. Is it a coincidence that an alien invasion has happened so close to the advent of human super powers? Did something the Fantastic Four do alert aliens to our presence? We also wonder why it was Bruce Banner who came to humankind's rescue and not Reed Richards and his super powered crew.In this issue:Bruce Banner and his teenage sidekick Rick Jones think they have one problem on their hands: Banner turns into an angry, marauding Hulk at night. They figure out the best way to deal with the Hulk is to lock Banner in an underground cell before he can transform into the personification of his id.It turns out they have a second problem. The alien race known as the Toad Men kidnap Banner for some unknown reason. Unfortunately for them, he transforms into the Hulk on their ship, who fights the aliens and defeats them. The U.S. military then shoots the alien ship down, causing it to crash to Earth. The incredible, and indestructible, Hulk is the only one to survive, although he transforms back to Banner on Earth and is arrested by the military for treason on the assumption he was helping the aliens.Undeterred, the Toad Men begin their invasion of earth. Their fleet of ships blankets the sky, and their leader issues an ultimatum on Earth's airwaves: Surrender, or we will destroy your planet with our magnetic powers. In a show of tremendous force, the aliens knock the moon out of its orbit, causing the seas to rise and buildings to crumble. Eternally unreasonable General Ross refuses to surrender. [Side note: it is unclear how Ross is the world's decision maker.]Meanwhile, Banner transforms into the Hulk while in captivity and escapes. He reverts to Banner the next morning. Banner then defeats the aliens by using his “gamma ray” gun to reverse the polarity of their magnetic powers, which returns the moon to its orbit and sends the entire alien fleet “spinning across space, out of control forever”. Banner is hailed as a hero, and for good reason, for it was not the Hulk and his brute force that saved the day, but rather Banner and his big brain (and even bigger gamma ray gun).Assumed before the next episode:Banner is now a world famous and beloved scientist for saving the planet from the alien invasion. This episode takes place:After the brief period of worldwide devastation caused by the Toad Men, after Banner has saved the world with his gamma ray gun, and while Banner is enjoying life as the saviour of mankind. This is a public episode. If you would like to discuss this with other subscribers or get access to bonus episodes, visit www.superserious616.com

In 2008 "The Incredible Hulk" began the interpretation of our current version of Bruce Banner. Edward Norton portrayed the cursed scientist as he lived his life on the run from General Ross and SHIELD. But as Ross finally corners Banner, he is forced to return to his love, Betty Ross. She helps him make contact with Mr. Blue in hopes that an antidote can be found to rid him of the Hulk forever. Trusting people can be hard when you're trying not to turn into a giant rage monster. And when Major Blonsky wants a little taste of the Hulk's strength, he turns himself into an abomination and creates a really big problem. Jay and Josh try to control their anger on their first hiatus special of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.: Case Files.
