We're joined by the incredibly multi-talented Kate Zenna — actor, director, producer, writer... and above all, a devoted dog rescuer. Kate has been a lifelong dog lover and proudly lives with a pack of pups she's rescued over the years. Her tireless commitment to giving dogs a second chance has earned her a title I use with the utmost admiration: the crazy dog lady — and trust me, it's the highest of compliments. In this heartwarming and inspiring episode, Kate shares how she channels her many creative talents into finding loving homes for countless dogs. Her stories are too numerous for a single podcast, but we dig into some of her most memorable rescues and the passion that fuels her mission. We also get an exciting sneak peek at a new animal-centered film project she's developing — you'll hear about it here before almost anyone else. Tune in for a powerful reminder of how much of a difference one person can make in the lives of animals in need. www.furrealpodcast.com ig @thefurrealpodcast ig @markakyle fb @ The Fur Real Podcast fb @ Mark A Kyle tik tok The Fur Real Podcast ig @katezenna fb Kate Zenna Speical thanks to J Jig Cicero @jjigcicero for our music intro and outro..you rock!!! Holy Hell that was a long release gap! But here it is, the next episoide I'd promised. If you remember that I'd promised it. And if you're still interested in what I'd promised, which was an episode about four different Jaws knockoff movies with killer animals. This it a fun one between myself and Michael Heffernan, who was a good sport about having to watch four movies of wildly varying quality.
On this week's episode, JP gets his car back, and Steve and Scotty are trying to get JP sick. The Minnesota Vikings may have been a fraud, and the government is not good at anything as LA is burning. Are toll roads overrated or underrated, and how bad do roads have to be before you don't drive on them? What's the worst thing you have ever done, and who would you want to be deserted on a desert island with? What are the best animal movies, and could you not charge your phone until is completely dead? Enjoy another episode, and keep on laughing!

This week we're reviewing THREE children's movies starring Kate Winslet! The first is Pride, a BBC TV movie released in 2004. This movie boasts a large cast with Helen Mirren, Rupert Graves, Martin Freeman, and Robbie Coltrane starring alongside Kate! While this just seems like a lackluster attempt at recreating The Lion King, we did love seeing real nature shots and hearing about how they made this live-action movie. The second movie is The Fox and the Child featuring those two titular characters and no one else in a feel-good kids movie that Anne describes as "like a hug."Last AND (spoiler alert) least of the day is the 2019 animated film Swift that just made us wonder why Willem Dafoe and Kate Winslet agreed to be in it. Tune in for this 3-for-1 episode to find out how these movies rank vs. all 46 Kate Winslet movies! WebsiteInstagramMerch Support the show

A News in Health article discusses how interacting with animals has been shown to decrease stress levels and lower blood pressure. Animals can also reduce loneliness and increase feelings of social support, as well as boost your mood. There are so many benefits of having an animal in your life, and films have been able to tap into this benefit over the years. For many movies, an essential role for heart and depth or comedic relief can come from animals or pets. The term “man’s best friend” was coined for a reason. It is no surprise that many films over the years incorporate these beings into their stories. Animals in film are not limited to dogs, though. The films we discuss below showcase some of the best examples of animals stealing the show. We hear you, Partysans! At least, we hear you when you call us at PARTYGAM(E)! We finally get around to listening and responding to your phone calls in this episode. Please keep calling; we'll do better. We also ate some candy, went to the video store, and pitted our beasts against one another in the arena of "sport." WHAT THE FOOD We started with something you can still actually buy in a store: Skittles! Well, not normal Skittles of course, because why? No, these were faux-gurt covered Skittles. Yeah. That's a thing someone made. Also, someone else seems to have made cherry cordials with cola flavoring as well, and because we are not healthy individuals we ate them. BLOCKBUSTER Old people (like us) and fans of Captain Marvel might recognize this blast from the analog past as a VHS rental box. We just called it fun. THE PARTY GAMECLASH! It's so great in animal town, red panda crawlin' around! This time we played The Champion of the Wild live, and forced animals to compete in a grueling event that tested their skills to the utmost!

Andy Serkis deserves an Academy Award for Best Actor. PeriodBut not everyone agrees -- not even within this show -- and there are many who, in spite of acknowledging his particular set of skills, believe he shouldn't get a Best Actor nomination for his work in "War for the Planet of the Apes." We dig into the final movie in the modern Apes trilogy (NO SPOILERS) and what the movies (and the series) have accomplished.Elsewhere, inspired by the impressive CGI apes, we lay down our list(s) of the Top 5 Best Animal Movies. We also cap off the episode with previews of Kathryn Bigelow's "Detroit" and David Lowery's "A Ghost Story," both of which we have had the opportunity to pre-screen.Episode Segments:0:00 - Intro2:39 - Rank Geeks: Best Animal Movies24:08 - War for the Planet of the Apes (NO SPOILERS)46:08 - The Most Least Important Thing(s)("April Showers" by ProleteR is licensed under a Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives [aka Music Sharing] 3.0 International License.)

In which our heroes lose their owners, set out on a magical journey, and aren’t animated as they talk talking dog movies but not animated ones ones like homeward bound. We talk varying different dog breeds, sing a song from an Australian classic, and discuss the voice acting talents of Frankie Muniz. Jackson shares his views on animal farm, Duscher uses his special skill of knowing the release date for every movie, George worries for Stuart Little, and Zoe just wishes there were more specific cat calendars. So head homeward bound, try to forget Milo and Otis, and then remember that film Paulie about the talking parrot. Cats vs dogs was also in this genre. Want to help jackson catalog the animal stereotypes? Head to http://www.patreon.com/sanspantsradio and for as little as $1 a month we can buy him a scrapbook. What's the scariest animal movie you've ever seen? Pet Sematary? Cujo? Jaws? Devil Dog, The Hound of Hell? (ok, maybe not too many people have heard of that last one, but it scared me pretty bad as a kid). Did it keep you up all night? Did it make you view your own pet differently? In this last October Pet Spooktacular episode of The Missy Show, hosts J and D discuss their favorite scary animal movies, and also remind everyone of Halloween pet safety tips covered in previous shows--so be sure to join us on this special night and time of Friday, October 30th at 10pm Central. Why not call in and share your favorite scary animal movie memories?
Ed is the masterfully crafted story of a farmer turned worlds best pitcher ever with the help of a hilarious baseball-playing chimpanzee all while discovering the magic of baseball and the magic of children. Or it could be a film about the demonstration making a movie without knowing how baseball and/or animals work with the magic of baseball and the magic of children. You decide! Ed deserves to be in the IMDB Bottom 100. It truly is an awful movie. We think that watching Ed alone may be the worst idea that anyone could have. But with a pretty solid group of riffers Ed can be a good time. It does all it can to help you make funny jokes while watching it. If riffing a bad movie is like a gun, then Ed buys the expensive bullets and then loads the gun for you. Poor Tonn Slingdog showed up to do his usual DTV Corner segment, but found out he was alone. No Pigs showed. In an attempt to respect the podcast's listeners in a way the usual hosts clearly do not, Tonn yammers for nearly half an hour about some horror movies featuring killer animals he vaguely remembers. Rambling and without a real point, at least this Pigs Podcast is...well, here.
