This next episode of our Best of ITT series takes us back to 2016, and our conversation with Mike German, fellow with the Brennan Center for Justice's Liberty & National Security Program. Maria and Julio talk to Mike about what he learned about the white supremacist movement during his time as an undercover FBI agent, and how the media is missing the real story. ITT Staff Picks: Nazgol Ghandnoosh writes about white supremacy's hold on legal institutions and how it disproportionately affects Black and Indigenous communities, in this article for The Sentencing Project. “Concerns intensified after law enforcement failed to stop multiple incidents of white supremacist violence committed at the 2017 Unite the Right rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, and a leaked FBI report revealed it had created a new domestic terrorism category called “Black Identity Extremists” that labeled Black activists protesting racist police violence as threats” writes Michael German in this article for Brennan Center. More than 300 members of the far-right group, The Oath Keepers, are also members of the Department of Homeland Security, according to this article by Nick Schwellenbach that was published in POGO.
On this edition of Parallax Views, journalist Jefferson Morley, author of The Ghost: The Secret Life of Spymaster James Jesus Angleton, Scorpion's Dance: The President, the Spymaster, and Watergate, and Morley v. CIA: My Unfinished JFK Investigation, joins us for an urgent update on his work related to the JFK assassination and the ongoing fight to have the last of the JFK records released to the public. Morley and the Mary Ferrell Foundation, a resource on the Kennedy assassination, have filed a lawsuit against President Joe Biden and the National Archives over the withholding of 11,000 or so documents related to the assassination that have yet to be released despite the promise years ago that they would be declassified. Recorded on 12/14,/22, Morley and I discuss how Biden will have to make a decision on 12/15/22 as to whether the CIA will have to give up the last of the JFK documents. In edition to all of this, Jefferson will also explain why the CIA's argument that these documents can't be released for national security reasons and because not all of the people in the files are dead is, from his perspective, a bogus argument. Morley also goes over what he consider the "smoking gun" with regards to the assassination: the CIA's knowledge of Lee Harvey Oswald before 11/23/63 and the CIA's use of Oswald for intelligence purposes (in other words: as an intelligence asset). Jefferson is quick to point out that he is not interested in theorizing or speculating about the assassinations. Instead his interest is in what the documents say rather than any conspiracy theories. We also delve into the recent National Press Club conference by the Mary Ferrell Foundation featuring Jefferson and Judge John R. Tunheim of the Assassination Record Review Board, the across the board/political spectrum support for releasing the documents on grounds related to the need for government transparency, and the mainstream media's coverage of Jefferson Morley and the Mary Ferrell Foundation's recent work. In the second segment of the show, Patrick G. Eddington, senior fellow at the Cato Institute and former CIA analyst joins us to discuss his recent Antiwar.com article "Is the FBI's ‘Black Identity Extremist' Label Still in Use?". In 2016 a report was leaked to the press in which the FBI was revealed to be using the term "Black Identity Extremist" as a domestic security threat. Due to the vagueness of the term as well as the rise of Black Lives Matter and the fact that the majority of domestic terrorism has come from white nationalist terrorists the BIE report was heavily criticized. In the intervening years FBI Director Chris Wray told the Senate Judiciary Commitee that use of the term has been abandoned by the FBI. However, recent documents obtained by the Cato Institute through a FOIA request, raise questions as to whether that truly is the case. In addition to this specific story, Patrick and I also delve into the history of the FBI's COINTELPRO operation targeting black activists in the era of Martin Luther King Jr. and the Civil Rights movement, FBI overreach and lack of accountability, the long history of FBI targeting of left-wing activists, the 21st century targeting of Chinese-American, and much, much more!

On this edition of Parallax Views, controversial Fox News personality Tucker Carlson caused an uproar recently when he alleged that he has been spied on by the NSA (National Security Agency). Pointing aside one's opinions of either Carlson or his allegations, Parallax Views wanted to delve into the issue of domestic surveillance program and how the could potentially be abused in way that could target activists of the left and right. Are there ways in which the real issue of domestic extremism can be exploited to unsavory ends? In our highly politicized world it is easy to see how such abuse can occur. How a BLM activist could be labeled a "Black Identity Extremist", for example. Or how someone holding socialist views could be labeled domestic extremists. Although the issue of domestic extremism has gained renewed attention since the Janury 6th "Capitol Breach". But what of the potential for the misuse of this important issue? And what of the potential abuses of domestic surveillance programs? Joining us to unpack all those issues is libertarian gadfly James Bovard, author of such books as Attention Deficit Democracy, Public Policy Hooligan, and The Bush Betrayal. We talk about all the aforementioned issues as well as the dual problem of the Imperial Presidency and secretive entrenched bureacracies often referred to, for good or ill, as the "deep state". All that and more on this edition of Parallax Views. This conversation was inspired by Jim's latest article in The Daily Caller, "Why NSA Vs Tucker Carlson Is An Alarm Bell For All Americans".
Tucker Carlson's theory distorts work by Trevor Aaronson, a journalist for the Intercept and the author of 'The Terror Factory: Inside the FBI's Manufactured War on Terrorism'. He joins us to explain why the idea that the January 6th storming of the capitol was an "inside job" by the FBI may not hold water. We explore real cases of FBI undercover stings targeting Muslims as part of the "war on terror", "Black Identity Extremists" (their words) and, increasingly, far-right extremists as well. ↓↓↓↓ SUBSCRIBE FOR $5 A MONTH SO YOU DON'T MISS THE SECOND WEEKLY EPISODE ↓↓↓↓ https://www.patreon.com/QAnonAnonymous Follow Trevor Aaronson: http://twitter.com/trevoraaronson Chameleon High Rollers podcast: https://apple.co/368Z5pn QAA Merch / Join the Discord Community / Find the Lost Episodes / Etc: https://qanonanonymous.com Episode music by Max Mulder (http://doomchakratapes.bandcamp.com) & Pontus Berghe
Earlier this week, I shared some thoughts on how language and calling people racist or insurrectionist, or fascists, is important. And how we may not quite have the vocabulary to define what's happening today yet. (Sidenote: we might. I probably need to do some digging and learning to say that with more certainty). But today's newsletter is going to be about some of the best, most important thinking that I've read since last week.My first, big, recommendation is “The American Abyss,” an essay by Timothy Snyder, Yale University history professor and political atrocity expert. He argues that the part of the responsibility for Trump's efforts to overturn a fair election (that he lost) falls to a large number of Republicans, who either saw Trump as a means to power within a democratic framework (the McConnells of the world) or as a way to break the system, and gain power without democracy (the Hawleys and Cruzs of the world).Combined, they helped hurl us to a post-truth, pre-fascist world. "The big lie"—that the Democrats stole the 2020 presidential election—is the scariest of all, as it imparts a fundamental lack of trust by its believers in: reporters, political experts, local to federal government institutions, poll workers, elected officials, and even the Supreme Court.Adding fuel to the fire, "social media provides an infinity of apparent evidence for any conviction, especially one seemingly held by a president."It feels like we have one chance to do... something. Anything.Snyder goes on:Trump’s coup attempt of 2020-21, like other failed coup attempts, is a warning for those who care about the rule of law and a lesson for those who do not. His pre-fascism revealed a possibility for American politics. For a coup to work in 2024, the breakers will require something that Trump never quite had: an angry minority, organized for nationwide violence, ready to add intimidation to an election. Four years of amplifying a big lie just might get them this. To claim that the other side stole an election is to promise to steal one yourself. It is also to claim that the other side deserves to be punished.Informed observers inside and outside government agree that right-wing white supremacism is the greatest terrorist threat to the United States. Gun sales in 2020 hit an astonishing high. History shows that political violence follows when prominent leaders of major political parties openly embrace paranoia. Our big lie is typically American, wrapped in our odd electoral system, depending upon our particular traditions of racism. Yet our big lie is also structurally fascist, with its extreme mendacity, its conspiratorial thinking, its reversal of perpetrators and victims and its implication that the world is divided into us and them. To keep it going for four years courts terrorism and assassination. The Republicans are going to have to act: do they stand on principle or acquiesce to the Trumpian/fascist faction of their party? Unfortunately, there is zero evidence to suggest the Republicans have a real interest in American democracy, at this point. Almost 150 Republicans voted to overturn election results mere hours after the Capitol was attacked by fascist thugs. Hours after they hid for their lives.I highly recommend reading Snyder's full essay.Elsewhere, Blair McClendon lays bare the myth that what happened on Wednesday "isn't America." In fact, it is! His essay "Long Lost Causes" over at n+1 goes further. We live in an immensely powerful country that continues to perceive itself not only as an innocent underdog, but as the land of lost causes. They grow vicious here, since those in power are not all that accustomed to serious repercussions for defeat. The most famous incarnation of the lost cause, the one about the Civil War, is itself more a story about frustration than annihilation. Trump and his ecosystem of conspiracist allies, sycophants, and media figures succeeded in creating such a narrative before there was even a loss to behold. On Wednesday his followers—as well as those who merely find them useful—acted boldly in defense of the murky cause. In response, Democrats have begun to demand new legal powers to act against “domestic terrorists.” New laws aren’t needed to protect the government. So who will they be enforced against? Who will enforce them? Presumably the same FBI that responded to the rise of Black Lives Matter by manufacturing the category of “Black Identity Extremists.” Or better yet, the local police departments whose unions endorsed Trump last fall. If things get out of hand again they can call in the military, which has been a locus of neo-Nazi and Klan recruitment… Some are dying and killing for [a cause] now and in Congress they’re still talking.Writing in the excellent newsletter, The Margins, Ranjan Roy called this "The first phygital coup" while also correctly pointing out that phygital is a bad word found mostly in marketing/digital contexts but also it makes sense here."This is reality TV, but this is also warfare." He goes on:Last Wednesday felt like a breaking point where the weirdness of online life finally found its way onto the front page of every newspaper around the world and people lost their real, physical lives. The speed at which digital life coalesced with physical life was staggering. Just look at the waning minutes of the invasion as Congress reconvened. One sketchy online tweet ‘showing the shaman guy at BLM protests’ went absolutely viral and allowed Matt Gaetz to speak in the offline House of Representatives about how the invasion was led by Antifa. Even the likes of Brit Hume “asked questions” about leftist infiltrators while a Washington Times article (that is now also deleted) claimed there was some facial recognition company that identified Antifa people involved. Both that viral tweet and viral article are now disappeared from the internet, yet they did their job. They injected confusion. This is modern warfare. Finally, experts are warning that the right's embrace of conspiracy amounts to "mass radicalization." Let that phrase sink in. Mass. Radicalization. The only way to prevent more violence is to break through the echo chamber. How do you do that, when 77% of Trump supporters believe that Joe Biden stole the election? There is a ton of writing and thinking out there about everything going down with Twitter, Facebook, and the like banning Trump from their platforms. And Amazon banning Parler from its cloud hosting platform. Those decisions and developments are very much a part of this newsletter's remit, but news is breaking so fast and frequently it's hard to get a grip on everything. One thing is for certain: it is decidedly not good that the most powerful private corporations in the world are the ones making these decisions on-the-fly (and, arguably, way too late). We need a new tech and social regulatory apparatus now.But that'll be for next time. In the meantime, I'd rather sound the alarm about, oh, fasicsm and democracy.I love you all. Talk soon.
In our conclusion of Still Spying's three-part exploration of the FBI's war on Black dissent we bring the story up to the present. In response to police violence and white supremacy, the US has witnessed renewed movements for racial justice. Unsurprisingly, the FBI is yet again on the case. In this episode we talk about the FBI and other federal agencies's monitoring of the Movement for Black Lives, including the FBI's assessment about the threat posed by “Black Identity Extremists.” This episode features an interview with Malkia Devich-Cyril, a Senior Fellow at Media Justice.
Clearing the FOG with co-hosts Margaret Flowers and Kevin Zeese
In 2017, a leak from the FBI revealed they were targeting black activists organizing to end racist policies and practices calling them "Black Identity Extremists." This is consistent with the FBI's long history of investigating and harassing black and brown activists. Organizations like Media Justice and the ACLU have been working to get information from the FBI about what they are doing and who they are targeting but the FBI has been putting barriers in their way. We speak with Myaisha Hayes of Media Justice about what they have learned so far and its impact on activists. Hayes also discusses their efforts to urge Congress to stop federal funding for surveillance of people exercising their constitutional rights and to educate activists about ways to protect themselves. On this episode of By Any Means Necessary, hosts Sean Blackmon and Jacquie Luqman are joined by award-winning editorial cartoonist and columnist Ted Rall to talk about the six primary contests set to take place later today, why Biden's obvious intellectual deterioration is such a gift to the right wing, what to make of Bernie Sanders' success among Muslims, why Sanders' loyalty to the Democratic party is so rarely repaid, why growing resentment among Sanders' base over his failure to more forcefully hit Joe Biden may force Bernie to go on the attack, and whether failing to do so could cost him the nomination. In the second segment, Jacquie and Sean are joined by Medea Benjamin, Co-Founder CODEPINK: Women for Peace, to talk CODEPINK's new campaign with The Grayzone calling for the OAS to observe the US' own Democratic primary elections, how the tongue-in-cheek campaign attempts to draw attention to the longstanding selectivity in where the OAS demands electoral monitoring, why so many basic logistical obstacles are imposed on working people trying to cast their ballot, the role of the OAS in overthrowing the democratically-elected government of Bolivian President Evo Morales, how CODEPINK plans to protect the integrity of the upcoming Bolivian elections, and what steps must be taken by other organizations to ensure the elections aren't rigged by the current de facto military government of Jeanine Añez.In the third segment, Sean and Jacquie are joined by independent journalist Vanessa Beeley to talk about conditions on the ground in liberated South Idlib, the pattern of military offensives and counter-attacks between the Syrian Arab Army and the Al Qaeda-led 'moderate rebels' which has come to characterize the armed struggle there, how Turkish President Recep Erdogan was violating the previous Turkish-Russian ceasefire agreement by continuing to supply the terrorist factions they're using to create a 'buffer zone,' why the new ceasefire represents a masterful negotiation by Russia and a big win for the Syrian people, why Turkish invasions and other aggressions against Syrian sovereignty failed to draw the censure of NATO nations, why Syrian Arab Army offensives couldn't possibly have succeeded without extensive civilian collaboration and what that cooperation says about the loyalties of everyday Syrian people, what the discovery of a British SAS operative in Syria reveals about the long-term strategic reorientation of NATO nations, and why the public is increasingly wary of the black-and-white media narrative presented by the establishment.Later in the show, Jacquie and Sean are joined by Brandon Sutton, host of the Discourse Podcast, to talk about Charlemagne Tha God lashing out at Joe Biden for refusing to appear on The Breakfast Club morning radio show, why attempts by the Democratic establishment to present themselves as the standard-bearers of racial justice actually seem more oriented towards white voters, why Biden's success with Black voters is less a function of him having a unique vision for Black America and more a function of his leftover brand recognition from the Obama days, how the media managed to manufacture a wave of 'momentum' behind Joe Biden to push him into frontrunner status, why Trump is virtually guaranteed to make hay out of Biden's support for cuts to social security, how leftist activists keep positive and stay sane in the never-ending horserace of electoral politics, the importance of revolutionary optimism among those for whom surrender to the ruling class is not an option, why Joe Biden's success may signal more about declining collective standards for the presidential nomination than they do about his suitability for the office, whether Joe Biden will be capable of participating in open debates with Donald Trump, why the mainstream media and the Democratic establishment continue to pin the blame for homegrown white supremacy on 'the Russians,' where the latest attempt to smear Black commentators as Russian stooges fits into the mainstream media's century-long tradition of redbaiting so-called Black Identity Extremists, and what to make of Elizabeth Warren's ongoing refusal to endorse her closest political rival, Bernie Sanders.

Welcome to the radio magazine that brings you news, commentary and analysis from a Black Left perspective. I'm Glen Ford, along with my co-host Nellie Bailey. Coming up: The Black Lives Matter period of confrontations with the cops may have petered out in much of the country, but the movement against police oppression is alive and well in New York City. And, a new book explores the interaction between US suppression of minorities at home and American military policy, abroad. The FBI claims that it has revised its policy on targeting so-called Black Identity Extremists. However, many observers doubt that, including Yah-FAY-OH Ba-la-GON, a leader of the Dallas Texas-based Huey P. Newton Gun Club. The club urges Black people to arm themselves for self-defense. In New York City, a coalition of organizatons is planning a new series of actions against police oppression in the city's mass transit system. Sharon Jones, of Bronxites for NYPD Accountability, says the protesters will rally under the banner, F-T-P. Anti-police brutality protesters often point to the collaboration between US cops and the counterparts in apartheid Israel. But author Stuart Schrader says the problem is a lot deeper than that. He's written a new book, titled “Badges Without Borders:How Global Counterinsurgency Transformed American Policing.” It details how the US has learned to suppress rebellions at home and abroad, from Native American extermination and suppression of slave revolts, to becoming the policeman of the world.

Whenever Black folks stand up and speak out against the system of racism-white supremacy, we are labeled with terms meant to incite fear and to water down the protest. Terms like radical, militant, and Black Identity Extremist have historically been used to paint a picture of danger and threat. Well, we are a threat...to the status quo, and we're not going anywhere. Welcome to the radio magazine that brings you news, commentary and analysis from a Black Left perspective. I’m Glen Ford, along with my co-host Nellie Bailey. This week we are going to dedicate the entire program to the issue of so-called Black Identity Extremists, the term the FBI invented to justify its permanent witch-hunt against Black individuals and organizations that fight for Black people’s rights and interests in the United States. Human rights activists regard the Black Identity Extremist label as the part of the FBI’s attempt to repackage, for the 21st century, its old and discredited Cointelpro dirty war against Black and Left Wing organizers. Some of those activists recently formed an umbrella group to coordinate the resistance to the FBI’s latest offensive against Black people. It’s called the Black Identity Extremist Abolition Collective. The Collective plans to hold political education and organizing events in cities across the nation. The first session was held at the People’s Forum, in midtown Manhattan, New York City. Five organizers, representing key human rights groups, were unexpectedly joined by Mumia Abu Jamal, the nation’s best known political prisoner. They discussed the threat posed by the FBI’s attempt to demonize and neutralize radical politics in the Black Lives Matter era. Ajamu Sankofa is one of the founders of the Black Identity Extremist Abolition Collective. Myaisha Hayes is with the Center for Media Justice, which has challenged the FBI’s reincarnation of Cointelpro. Hayes knows all too well that the Bureau’s aim is to turn Black activists into political prisoners. The New York-based Center for Constitutional Rights has been in the forefront of the resistance to the FBI’s attempts to criminalize political organizing and speech, especially in Black and Muslim communities. Aya Saed represented the Center at the People’s Forum event, in New York. Fifty years ago, the FBI designated the Black Panther Party the greatest domestic danger to U.S. national security, and tried to destroy the organization through a campaign of assassination and imprisonment. Johanna Fernandez is with the Campaign to Bring Home former Panther Mumia Abu Jamal. She’s also a professor of History and African American Studies at Baruch College. Fernandez provided an historical context to the FBI’s Black Identity Extremist offensive.
Welcome to the radio magazine that brings you news, commentary and analysis from a Black Left perspective. I’m Glen Ford, along with my co-host Nellie Bailey. Coming up: a former New York City cop writes a book on why police brutality matters, and what to do about it; the President of The Congo says he faces a threat from ISIS, even though his country has very few Muslims; and, the United States has already succeeded in killing at least 40 thousand Venezuelans, through sanctions. During the Obama administration, shortly after the Black rebellion in Ferguson, Missouri, federal officials mounted a campaign against what they called “Black Identity Extremists.” Soon, federal agents were also claiming that ISIS was somehow involved in the Black liberation struggle. Some of the best reporting on government political surveillance has been done by Alice Speri, of The Intercept. She says there’s nothing paranoid about Black activists who think Uncle Sam is spying on them. Former New City cop Joe Ested has written a book, titled “Police Brutality Matters.” Ested says new laws are needed, to rein in the lawmen. He suggests that Congress pass a Bad Cop Bill. The new president of the Democratic Republic of Congo is asking for United States help for a problem that may not exist. President Félix Tshisekedi fears that ISIS might target his country, which is already beset by internal and foreign-supported armed groups. We spoke with Maurice Carney, of Friends of Congo, in Washington, DC, and asked Carney, How could ISIS be a problem for the Democratic Republic of Congo, where only two percent of the nation is Muslim? Also in the nation’s capital, a progressive think tank released a study that showed U.S. sanctions against Venezuela have already led to massive deaths, especially among vulnerable groups like dialysis and diabetes patients who are now cut off from adequate treatment. The U.S. government has a long and sordid history of surveilling, infiltrating, and disrupting peaceful political and social movements it deems threatening, or adverse to the status quo. Perhaps most infamous was a secret FBI-led program codenamed COINTELPRO (‘Counter Intelligence Program’), initiated in the ‘50s against such civil and human rights icons as Martin Luther King, Jr., Malcolm X, Muhammad Ali, and many others. While purportedly shut down in 1971, its sinister tactics and spirit are very much alive today, deployed against modern-day activists and groups, including Black Lives Matter, environmentalists, Muslims, and indigenous rights groups. Recently, African Americans seeking social equality have been dubbed “Black Identity Extremists.” News Beat: Social Justice Never Sounded So Good News Beat is a Morey Creative Studios production: www.MoreyCreative.com News Beat is produced, engineered and hosted by Manny Faces: www.MannyFaces.com News Beat Executive Producer: Jed Morey Editor in Chief: Christopher TwarowskiManaging Editor: Rashed MianCover Art Design: Jeff Main Support the show.
He was the first labeled by the FBI as a "Black Identity Extremist", a newly created classification of domestic terrorism. He was jailed under federal custody, but released in May 2018 without cause. The main question that encompassed the discussion, was why do the powers that be and other ethnic groups observe self-preservation tactics and advocacy as dangerous? A must-listen. Anoa and Brian talk about the latest round of articles alleging Russian Infiltration of Black political spaces. The timing of this is "interesting" as we recently saw the publishing of the Black Identity Extremists report. With increasing activity being taken to marginalize and even subvert Black progressive and radical activity, we must be more prepared to have clear nuanced discussions about the issues that matter.
this episode is about Rakem Balogun. He is the first black American man arrested under FBI's secretive effort to track so called "Black Identity Extremists". He was wrongfully arrested and jailed for 5 months without prosecution. Please share and enjoy the show!

An F.B.I. Intelligence Assessment leaked in October determined, “The FBI assesses it is very likely Black Identity Extremist (BIE) perceptions of police brutality against African Americans spurred an increase in premeditated, retaliatory lethal violence against law enforcement and will very likely serve as justification for such violence.” During a November 14 House Judiciary Committee hearing about the report, questions by Rep. Karen Bass to U.S. Attorney Jeff Sessions yielded nothing to support the assessment. This lead the Congresswoman to recommend “that the Bureau needs to disown the report and throw it in the trash can” as it makes racist generalizations about police brutality protesters. Rep. Bass joined us in an open discussion about the law enforcement, counterterrorism and intelligence capabilities that could be marshaled against this FBI designation, potentially threatening the civil liberties of all Americans. On this week’s episode, we discuss the FBI’s attempt to label and investigate Black activists as “Black Identity Extremists.” We’re joined by U.S. Representative Karen Bass, Representative of California’s 37th district and member of the House Judiciary Committee, and Mr. Justin Hansford, Associate Professor of Law at Howard University and Executive Director of Thurgood Marshall Civil Rights Center. They discuss the danger in the FBI’s recent report on “Black Identity Extremist” groups and the implications of this on the African American community. From the National Urban League, For The Movement, is a podcast that discusses persistent policy, civil rights and social issues affecting communities of color. The FBI is targeting black activist groups and has nabbed its first victim. In this episode of "Let Your Voice Be Heard," the team questioned whether this is a modern-day COINTELPRO of the Black Lives Matter Movement. After going to a bachelor party in Las Vegas, Stanley returned to the show and was full of energy, jokes, and corny Vegas puns. Ilyssa delivered a breakdown of the legality surrounding the federal government's arrest of "Black Identity Extremists." And Selena tried to manage all of the conversations. Things got a little weird during the News RoundUp segment when the team talked about Richard Pryor's secret fling with Marlon Brando. From front-page news stories featuring transcripts of wiretapped campaign officials to dramatic cyberattacks using hacking tools stolen from the National Security Agency, intelligence and surveillance issues have saturated the news in 2017. Yet there were also plenty of important surveillance stories that didn't get the exposure they deserved: the ongoing debate over reauthorizing the NSA's controversial section 702 spying authority, set to expire at year's end; the Supreme Court's pending consideration of Carpenter v. United States, which could radically alter the contours of Fourth Amendment law; law enforcement's growing reliance on sophisticated data mining to attempt to identify criminals or terrorists before they act. The Cato Institute's annual surveillance conference will gather prominent experts, policymakers, technologists, and civil society advocates to explore these issues and more—and debate how much monitoring we should accept in a society that aspires to be both safe and free. SO-CALLED "BLACK IDENTITY EXTREMIST" FALSE PROPAGANDA IN THE UNITED SNAKES
The Context of White Supremacy welcomes the return of John Potash. An addiction counselor and writer, Potash wrote The FBI War on Tupac Shakur and Black Leaders and Drugs As A Weapon Against Us. His works centers largely on how United States' intelligence agencies have orchestrated surveillance, disruption and even violence against black people who've worked against the System of White Supremacy. Potash emphasizes that a consistent strategy is the weaponization of drugs to sabotage activists' ability to think clearly. We'll ask Potash about the recent report indicating the FBI's concern about so called "Black Identity Extremists." The reports stresses the high likelihood of a black person committing violence against police officers in response to police killings of black people. We explore what this means for black citizens and activists in the age of technologically advanced COINTELPRO. We'll also discuss the ongoing heroine epidemic, why epidemic numbers of Whites are self-destructing with narcotics. #AnswersForMiriamCarey INVEST in The COWS - http://paypal.me/GusTRenegade CALL IN NUMBER: 641.715.3640 CODE 564943#
The FBI has identified so-called "Black Identity Extremists" as a threat to law enforcement, according to a leaked memo. If you're wondering what a "Black Identity Extremist" is, you're not alone. Senior Staff Attorney Nusrat Choudhury of the ACLU's Racial Equality Program joins Lindsay to explain the FBI's newest crackpot theory about Black activism and the threat it poses to the people they are targeting. Dr. Niyana Rasayon returns to The Context of White Supremacy. A father, behavioral neuroscientist, neuropsychologist, and author, Dr. Rasayon is a North Carolina A&T alumnus and one of our alltime favorite guests. We've previously discussed his written material - including The Awakening and Reality Check, and are always grateful to get his views on current events as well as suggestions on what black people can do to solve our problems. We'll get his input on the FBI's warning about "Black Identity Extremists." A bureau document outlined a threat posed by Black people who are angered about police abuse and may be motivated to retaliate with violence. While black people are branded with new labels and subjected to more criminal surveillance, Whites like Stephen Paddock keep stockpiling weapons of mass destruction. We'll ask Dr. Rasayon about the carnage in Las Vegas that left 58 people dead. We'll ask if President Donald Trump's toxic political climate influenced the shooting and what's the purpose and impact of the president's verbal attacks on Black people like Florida Congresswoman Frederica Wilson and former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick. #AnswersForMiriamCarey INVEST in The COWS - http://paypal.me/GusTRenegade CALL IN NUMBER: 641.715.3640 CODE 564943#
