Welcome to Stories Come to Life. I am your host, Kathryn Lopez Luker. Lynette, a beautiful but very proud and haughty maiden, begs for King Arthur to send his very best knight to rescue her sister from the clutches of four evil knights.  She insists that Sir Lancelot be the one to help. King Arthur, however, has another idea as a different, but still fine and worthy knight, is available. Maybe enduring the mocking maiden is one of the things Sir Gareth needs to face as he goes on this valiant quest.Merlin, by now, is very old and very tired. He longs for rest and knows he doesn't need to watch all the adventures of King Arthur and his knights unfold. Lovely Nimue, who is a magical fairy herself, asks Merlin to come to Broceliande where the green tree and the white marble stone and the gentle fountain are waiting for him. Now sit back, relax, and listen to this story come to life.Listening to audiobooks really does count as reading, and there's no better way to relax than to hear Stories Come to Life! Let me know what you think! Please send an email to me at kluker@marshallpl.org. I'd love to hear from you!

A few weeks before the Autumn Equinox heralds from Rhianos approached the nations of Navar, Highguard and Dawn with an opportunity for a grand adventure into the very heart of Broceliande. Soon Broceliande is ringing with the sound of battle as the brave Imperial soldiers and heroes make their way through the forest. As one group moves deeper in they find themselves in an unusual glade where they can rest and recoup. A small community grows and one intrepid group set up their bar, heavily fortified and full of useful supplies. This encampment is an oasis of calm in a storm of deadly insects, husks and terrors. Here the soldiers and heroes exchange stories, showing off trophies and spoils of adventure. Rumours in the camp are rife and gossip starts over what could be causing this drop in Vallorn activity and how long will it last? That question is soon answered as a few husks wander into the glade. This week Kerrie and Tom are back to talk to Morgan again about Tristan's Adventures in the twisted woods of Brocéliande and the Eerielights Event "Echoes of the Ancients," where he tells us about the Druj, Chambers, and bees in the bones in the bees in the bones. In this episode I speak with renowned shaman, starseed, and author of the book 'A Gift from the Stars: Extraterrestrial Contact and Guide of Alien Races', Elena Danaan. We discuss Elena's new book that outlines the 110 different alien races that are interacting with Earth and humanity today. She also shares her story of extra terrestrials in her life and how they have effected her both good and bad. Drop In!www.elenadanaan.orgElena Danaan Bio: Born in France, I studied Fine Arts and Archaeology in Paris and spent twenty years of my life as a field archaeologist in Egypt (in Karnak temples, Cairo, Denderah and the Valley of the Kings), and in France with Neolithic, Celtic and Gallo-Roman cultures. With a university degree in Egyptian religion, I also had the privilege to be trained locally in traditional Egyptian Magic. Magic has always been part of my life. From a young age I was aware of my vocation and discovered early that I could heal and foretell. During my twenties I travelled frequently to Brittany to spend time with local Druids. The true nature of my path was revealed to me in the heart of Broceliande. After years of travels around the world as an archaeologist, I moved to Ireland and embraced my true calling. She is a Fully-certified Druid and Celebrant from the Order of Bards Ovates and Druids, and experienced Shaman and Channeler who helps people to find their own power and reconnect with their spiritual path, guiding them through life and facilitating their self-growth. Elena says…As a starseed, my task is to help others awakening to their true nature and power, as well as to the awareness of their own personal mission. Find more episodes at celticmusicpodcast.com. You can also support this podcast on Patreon. We finally hit a huge milestone on Patreon last month. The show now pulls in about $700 per episode. The money goes pays for a lot of things including my time in producing the show. But the big reason I wanted to hit that goal was because it allows us to reach more Celtic music fans. Yes. I do spend money to advertise the show on Facebook. We get a lot of new listeners because your generosity helps pay for that. That’s one of the big reasons I was so happy to hit this milestone. Because we hit it, I told patrons that I would give them a two-hour instrumental Celtic music special. That’s what we are doing today. Of course, it actually wasn’t ONE two-hour special. I gave you another one a couple weeks ago. So your generosity funded FOUR bonus hours of Celtic music. So let me start by saying thanks. And I’ll stop there too. Because this episode will be less talk and more music. So let’s get started. BREAK If you want to find more about the artists you just heard, please make sure you go to the shownotes at CelticMusicPodcast.com. I list the time that each artist and song is played so that you can easily find out who you’re listening to. I also share album names URLs of the artists so you can support them and by buying their music. I realized I hadn't shared the latest itinerary for the Celtic Invasion of Brittany. How else am I gonna make you jealous and long to join me on one of my Celtic Invasion Vacations if I don't talk more about it? So you will hear about some of the oldest and most-condensed standing stones in the world in Carnac, Brittany. Plus, we'll explore the Broceliande and Arthurian legend as well as other great legends and history from Brittany. It's gonna be an exciting trip. Look for more podcasts and videos in the weeks to come. Celtfather Music & Travel News I had a great turnout at the earlier hours of Johnnie MacCracken's Celtic Pub. I plan to talk to the pub owner see if I can keep those hours in the future. There are just 3 days Left on Kickstarter for As Long As I'm Flyin', my Browncoat album. We're $984 away from 3rd stretch goal. Please keep telling folks about it. My new Video Strategy is working well. I release new music videos weekly and other videos more frequently as well. My latest video, "Wear the Brown with Pride" is from my upcoming album and was recorded live in the studio. The final migration of MarcGunn.com takes place this week. Look for downtime on the website. Don't Go Drinking With Hobbits - How Did It Do? Did you notice I rebranded this podcast title...again? It's now called "Celtfather Music & Travel". That's the name and what it will be about. I'm brainstorming additional trips to exotic locations, maybe even a music retreat. But I could use your feedback. What would excite you in a retreat to Venice? Or Dingle? Would you like to learn some session tunes? Maybe learn some Irish songs? Learn to play the autoharp? Or perhaps you'd like to play D&D? LOL. All in an exotic location with good food, good drink and good company. If you enjoy this podcast, please sign up to the mailing list and subscribe at http://celtfather.com

He wrote: "I was looking for something different to watch while my daughter was napping today when I came across a series called Celtic Monsters. It's on Amazon Video (free if you have Prime and I think $1.99 per episode without). It consists of four 22 minute episodes, centered around a different theme each, where different people tell tales of the Celtic nations. They cover things from fairies to dragons and quite a few that I've never heard of. It's pretty entertaining and informative."   This Week in Celtic Music 0:28 "Farewell to Eireann" by Caladh from Live in Kyteler’s Inn 4:21 "Good Morning, Are You Ready Yet?" by Blackwater from Live at 10 7:46 "The Praties They Grow Small" by Amelia Hogan from Transplants: From The Old To The New 10:49 "Martin Wynne's Set" by Earl's Chair from Earl's Chair 15:21 "Siun Ni Dhuibhir" by An Taisdeal from Home Recordings 20:42 Celtic Music News 21:26 "Fine Flowers in the Valley" by Laurent Leemans from Fine Flowers in the Valley 25:02 "Dooney's Rant" by Beltaine from Jump at Samhain's Fire 28:06 "McAlpine's Fusilers" by Dublin 4 from There ‘Ya Are 32:18 "Rare Old Mountain Dew" by Ellis Island from The Whole Shebang 35:23 Celtic Music Feedback 38:10 "Shores of Moray" by Doug Folkins from Ceilidh 42:03 "Dance with the River" by Shishonnah from Elysian Dreams 45:21 "Nothin' by Lenahan from Brand New Bag and Secret World of Celtic Rock 50:00 "Andro" by Alizabr and Ann sannat with Faun from Lullabies & Legends from Broceliande 55:42 "Chloe's Passion" by Burning Bridget Cleary from These Are the Days The Irish & Celtic Music Podcast was produced by Marc Gunn, The Celtfather. "Imagine a red haired Celt from Brittany, just out of a Broceliande tale, with a voice that hovers somewhere between the high registers of Kate Bush, the purity of Sinead O Connor and the mysticism of Enya and you’ll have a good idea what this remarkable young harpist, arranger of traditional songs and original songwriter sounds like.” Singer and Harpist Cecile Corbel was born in Brittany, in the Finistère, at the very west of Europe. In her teens, after learning the guitar, she discovered the Celtic harp. The young Breton composer and singer now shares her « pop folk Celtic » music with her musicians in France and abroad.
