Es que ese domingo 28 de febrero de 1813 alguien le informó al joven que había visto pasar a soldados realistas, camuflados y armados hasta los dientes, en la colina donde acampaba el coronel Bolívar, que posteriormente se conocería como la Loma de Bolívar. Así que Eugenio subió a la loma y, junto con su burra, prestó sus servicios a los patriotas. Bajo un bravo sol mañanero, comenzó a repartir agua en jícaras, diciendo: «Agüita para mis soldados.» No había soldado patriota a quien no le ofreciera agua, cualquiera que fuera su rango. Una y otra vez subía y bajaba, vaciando los calabazos y volviendo para llenarlos. Después de ganada la batalla, Sosa se unió a las filas de los patriotas... sin la burra, por supuesto. Desafortunadamente los historiadores no vuelven a mencionar al joven recluta, ni mucho menos a su valiosa burra.1 Así como los soldados que lucharon por nuestra independencia ese día en aquella loma, también nosotros tenemos que librar una batalla, no sólo por la vida colectiva sino también por la vida privada. Lamentablemente, aun con todos los adelantos de la ciencia médica del siglo veintiuno comparada con la del siglo diecinueve, para conservar la salud física no tenemos ninguna garantía, como tampoco la tuvieron ellos. Pero, gracias a Dios, sí tenemos un recurso a nuestra disposición para mantenernos abastecidos de agua, así como lo tuvieron ellos, no para una sola batalla sino para toda la vida y para siempre. Ese recurso que nos ofrece Dios se lo ofreció su Hijo Jesucristo a una mujer de Samaria a la que Él le había pedido que le sacara agua de un pozo. Ese caluroso día Jesús le dio a entender a ella que, si reconocemos a Dios como una fuente de agua inagotable, no tenemos que hacer más que pedírsela para recibirla. Pero no se trata de agua cualquiera, que sacia la sed temporalmente, sino de agua que da vida abundante y se convierte en un manantial del que brota vida eterna. Ya está en marcha la Seminci, el Festival de Cine de Valladolid ha inaugurado una nueva edición con Isabel Coixet y 'Tres adioses'. Por aquí pasarán, además, Fernando Franco, Rafa Cobos y Judith Colell, entre otros, con sus nuevas películas. La que ya está en cines la Concha de Oro del pasado Festival de San Sebastián. Alauda Ruiz de Azúa dirige 'Los domingos', un drama familiar sobre una joven que se quiere meter a monja de clausura. La analizamos a fondo en este episodio, al igual que el 'Frankenstein' de Guillermo del Toro, la película de Bruce Springsteen con Jeremy Allen White y la cinta de animación 'Decorado' que firma Alberto Vázquez. Bruce Springsteen se había resistido hasta ahora a llevar su vida al cine. Rompe esa regla en 'Deliver me from nowhere', una película que no es un biopic al uso, sino la historia de cómo lidió el Boss con la depresión y los traumas, y cómo compusó uno de sus mejores discos, 'Nebraska'. En este episodio charlamos de todo esto con el director y el protagonista, Jeremy Allen White. Además, a algunos cines llega el 'Frankenstein' de Guillermo del Toro, hay terror con 'Black Phone 2' y Alauda Ruiz de Azúa nos pone a debatir sobre religión y familia en 'Los Domingos', su flamante Concha de Oro. Con ambos charlamos de esta historia delicada, con mucha ternura y fiel al estilo personal de la directora catalana.Dos nombres propios muy a tener en cuenta nos visitan, el director del certamen José Luis Cienfuegos que nos avanza las novedades de una edición en la que se van a poder ver 224 títulos, incluyendo 29 estrenos mundiales y 103 nacionales y Gonzalo Salazar-Simpson director de La ECAM una de las espigas de honor junto a Sergi Casamitjana de ESCAC, la actriz y cineasta francesa Mia Hansen-Løve y El actor segoviano Luis Callejo del que nos habla Elio Castro.Otras de las películas que vamos a poder ver en el certamen son Frontera, la nueva película de la cineasta Judith Collell, con ella hablamos de este thriller histórico, inspirado en hechos reales y Apuntes para una ficción consentida, es Almudena Sánchez, directora de fotografía de la película quien nos visita.Una de las cintas más esperada que llega a la cartelera después de ser galardonada con la Concha de Oro del Festival de San Sebastián es Los Domingos de Alauda Ruiz de Azua.
